Not all of them are bad. Most men that come back to Nigeria to marry women do so because they are scared of the unknown and their law abroad doesn't favour men as regards divorce. Although it favours men also.

So, most of them come to Nigeria to marry women that are doesn't have the upbringing of a foreign country, hoping they will enjoy their marriage with them. Although some of these men are misogynist and couldn't do any trash with the women abroad, hence the reason they come home to marry.

However, the mistake most people make is that they don't know how to manage situations. You can't expect a woman that was raised in a society that see women as inferior not to utilize the opportunity of being abroad (a society that gives women right) whenever you do injustice to her.

Lastly, I believe it all depends on both individuals in marriage and couples should learn to understand that love or material things are not the only requirements of being in a marriage. Sadly, many don't care and they keep having marital issues that ruins their life.

In fact, one of my American friends is coming over to Lagos this month but she's aware of the situation on ground. However, you can still come but you must know that it's safer to travel by air when traveling inter-state.

I came to realise most Nigerian men that got married to nurses end up suffering in de marriage. Couple with the fact that I will spend over 10 million Naira to settle down with her ( money for wedding, bringing her here and getting a house in uk).

Brother, I understand you and I must let you know that you're the one putting yourself under pressure. It's not a must you marry a student or plan to marry her. Also, it's not a crime to do so but you must know that it comes with many things you'll need to overlook.

I'd urge you to ease the pressure you put on yourself. She's in a noble profession and she's gonna excel well in her career wether in or in the U.K. What you need to do now is to focus more on her character because that's the most important of all.
