It will be good to understand why you condemned her. Do you know what that Mummy's boy and his mum had been doing and saying to her? We forget that harsh, nasty words and trying to control an individual's life by insisting on your own suggestions and ways of doing things can be worse than stabbing the person severally. I can only imagine her anguish at being told by the mother in-law how she must do things in her own house and being chastised severally and have a husband who will support his mother against his own wife. She must have gotten to the point of desperation where she determined that it is only crazy action like pulling a knife that mummy and her son will understand. I'm against violence. But don't continually mete out verbal violence and expect docility. I have not seen where she was diagnosed with a mental health challenge. So it seems she finally got desperate sine there was no succor coming from her husband.
Exactly, maybe her patience has been seriously tested. We dont know the full story and the guy also garnished the topic to paint the wife bad. Really mamas boy. He should go and settle his family before running to social media. To be a man is not only to impregnate a woman

Your supplies probably mean little, unless they asked for it.
They didn't tell you they were starving or can't buy clothes for their newborn.
You're probably only cluttering their home with your supplies.
Even your in laws who visit will still bring all their own supplies too, so stop thinking they've gone to enjoy the 'supplies' your family provided.
Your mum is probably too busy to visit them to help with the new baby, which is absolutely fine but the new mother would likely have preferred the physical help she may provide. Food and baby things are definitely not their problems abroad.
They have cheaper & better quality baby clothes , shoes abroad. Nigeria doesn't make anything, so your mum is only sending back those things made abroad, back to the abroad.
The major problem many mothers (whether new or old) struggle with abroad is childcare. It's hard to get any help abroad with that, unless you're ready to pay major big bucks, which is more expensive than even bringing someone in from Nigeria to help you.
'Heaves a sigh of relief'. i was waiting for this type of reply. His posts is fiiled with ignorance and arrogance that i didnt want to say anything becos it might resort to name calling. Something that has existed before his mom was born e dey make noise. Supply kor, tissue ni

Thank God for safe delivery, even though it was CS everything went successful.

So my mum came around for Omugwo first and ever since my wife had been having issues with her. it got to the extent my wife pulled a knife on my mum and I, she even fought my mum before she left.

So her mum now came around for Omugwo also and I have not been giving her face even despite she has apologised with my wife also and even her Dad. But I'm still finding it difficult to forgive her don't know why.
Did you call both parties to find out what actually happened? There must be a reason she acted like that and you must find out. Im not justifying that shit oh. Thats pure violence. Secondly maybe people will start believing in post partum depression. Since you said she just gave birth. Is she experiencing some kind pressure, stress etc. Oga instead of running here to complain, fix your house jare. Get to work and be her number one support system. Wash cloth, change diaper, wake up at night to take care of baby and relieve here as much as you can.

Newsmic:
A mother cried out on Friday, after seeing the state of her 5-month-old baby allegedly seized by her madam, IgbereTV reports

The woman did a live video with human rights activist, Harrison Gwamishu, to report her madam.

The 19-year-old mother claimed that her madam seized her baby because she couldn't pay back the hospital bill she helped her clear.

Photos of the baby before shows him looking healthy. However, after allegedly being with the madam named Tina, the baby lost so much weight.

It took the intervention of the Lagos State Social Welfare and the police to reunite the woman and her child.

New photos of baby Chidubem showed him looking emaciated and sickly.

In an update shared on his IG page, Harrison said the baby has died.

FamilyRe: Can I Give Up The Marriage At This Stage..pls Advise Needed by MummyD2020(f): 2:21pm On Dec 18, 2021
Babsojimjim:
Dear All,

The write up below is exactly what a friend is going through from his wife. Please what sort of action can he take?

Despite, all he has done to please his wife, called Reverend fathers and pastors to counsel them both, his wife is still indifferent to him and is threatening to quit the marriage, citing accumulated pains of the past.

Currently, she says she wants to go back to her parents house else she will die or commit suicide. The man called her parents, and their advise was that since she is his wife, he should decide if to allow her leave his house to come and see them (parents) or stay in his house that the decision is his as the husband.

At this juncture my friend is confused and dont know what to do again.

Even the unmarried friend of his wife who came to stay with them is not helping matter at all as she seems to be enjoying the challenge between my friend and his wife.

Please advise needed. Thanks.
Team women use marriage as poverty alleviation program where are you? Marriage favours the female more but na the man dey rush her.The man should come clean on what made the woman prefer to quit her marriage than manage it. It must be a very strong something. The man na akpi

UtopiaDream:
Former Big Brother Naija housemate Angel Smith has revealed that she is a materialistic woman because she likes fancy things, adding that she is only interested in money and designer wear, Igbere TV reports.

The 21-year-old said this in a tweet on Sunday.

https://twitter.com/theangeljbsmith/status/1470138686390087681

This comes after the reality star cried out over backlash from critics on Twitter.

Angel tweeted, saying she is tired of being criticised for living a ‘free-spirited’ life. Angel also threatened to block anyone who makes a negative comment about her.

During her time on the show, she was criticised for showing off her body parts. She was also slut-shamed by fellow ex-housemate Maria Chike who claimed that the 21-year-old flirted with the male housemates.

The ex-housemate was attacked by some fans who claimed that her ‘sugar daddy’ got her a Range Rover after she displayed the car on social media.
What do y guys expect from a 21 year old? Pls this is her time to flirt and be loud na. Its the youthful exuberance that is only natural. Bling bling get time

Sad.

We always come here to say RIP to these suicide victims but everyday, people on this platform still mindlessly say terrible things to others. Funny thing is, some people would start considering the exact thing that made the victim take thier life and then start telling us how it's not worth it. What these people don't know is that it's hardly about the triggering factor but more about the individual, their achilles' heel and pre-existing dispositions. If you don't have anything good or constructive to say to people, just leave them alone. Some say it's the Nigerian lifestyle. Such people are just galvanizing thier lack of empathy. Please, let's be considerate in dealing with people. Being blunt or straightforward or woke or whatever it's called shouldn't take the place of being kind.
This place is the worst. People are so cruel here. But i have learnt to speak up for myself oh. No bee una go bring down

They have come again!

Rwanda that has only its infrastructure in Kigali while the rest of the country are sh!tholes-like is what we're told is the best place to live, run businesses and raise families. Akin to El-Rufai saying "come and invest in Kaduna for it's well developed and safe" whereas ethnic minorities are slaughtered and wanton insecurity cut across the state. Criticise him while being a resident and get arrested, so much for development. Low budget Lee Kuan Yews masquerading themselves everywhere.

Most if not all African leaders have passports of developed countries but young and ambitious Africans are preached to not attain same privilege (all Saraki's kids have British citizenship ditto for Buhari's. Amaechi's son is in Canada as Desmond Elliot's children are in the US. What about incoming Soludo? All are in the UK and many more) by relocating to places where a change of government could lead to an upheaval in policies.

You have governments across Ghana, Namibia and Botswana restricting foreign investors from investing in their economies YET you want Africans with capital to invest their hard earned money, lives and time into such places. Maybe for tech businesses but for businesses in the real sector aka manufacturing and industrial sectors, Africans are too poor to sell to and most importantly, the continent is too disorganised and policies are very inconsistent to rely on. People need consistency, a sense of safety and second option. These are the reasons folks are relocating so that they can clinch those strong passports and return afterwards (some of those who relocated to Canada will return at a later date) to the most unstable place in the world. Before you mention the Chinese, Indians and Lebanese like one Dasparrow does (a woman who left Europe to Nigeria, found it very brutish and difficult only to flee to one bloody no-name country in Central America yet practices online witchcraft by actively dissuading young Nairalanders from doing the same), do know that they have strong networks built over hundreds of years by their ancestors who fled those countries (India and Lebanon), have a strong backing from their home government (China) and a rich diaspora (the trio). Their ancestors left their home countries to economically buoyant places to build businesses and raise families, the same networks newer migrants are tapping into. Instead of supporting such similar moves by young and ambitious Africans to economically buoyant places, you want them to move to poverty infested and unstable places like Rwanda and some years ago Ethiopia was trumped as one of such places.

Here's something you should know: regardless of race, humans will always migrate to where their lives can be bettered and as humans earn more, they desire for more good things in life. An example is how droves of foreign nurses in Singapore resigned and relocated to Canada, Australia and the US partly because of the pandemic stress but mainly because there is no hope of them attaining permanent residence status and/or eventual citizenship. However, these women (the vast majority of nurses are women) didn't plan so ab initio but as their fortunes improved while working in Singapore, they wanted more (human needs are insatiable, Econs 101) and left to places where citizenship is attainable. According to you, they should have remained in Bangladesh, Philippines, Cambodia, Bolivia etc.

Maybe you should ask for a refund of your secondary school fees from whatever school you finished from as I'm pretty sure you didn't learn anything useful because if you understood elementary economics, you will understand why people migrate.
You are so good and i compliment your vast knowledge. Keep it up and continue to soar
