If you give charity to someone then you shouldn’t thereafter remind that person of what you did. This would cause him embarrassment and shame. A person should also not expect anything in return for what he has given. To do any of these things is an indication that the person did not give the charity solely for the sake of Allah (swt), which is how it should be done. These acts can nullify the good deed of giving charity – there would no longer be any reward for it. . . http://tmr123./khutbahs/transcripts/sadaqah/ |
Author(s): Viola Sonibarehttp://telegraphng.com/2013/06/who-charges-n10000-for-a-kids-concert/ Well, the writer has done a bit to promote the event lol but seriously, if we keep on to this "every man for himself" mentality, it's only a matter of time before it hunts us.By the way, the organizers have their target market, a visit to Silverbird Cinemas is where you can get the hub of ASOBO (Association of Omo Baba Olowos) in Lasgidi. ![]() We are already talking about the lack of contentment amongst University students who could do anything to get the Samsung Galaxy S4 just to 'feel among' and here you have some people bringing 'levels' at this stage of children's lives. :O Yeah, I can anticipate them, "is't your money?", "mind your business", "shey because you can't afford the money for your children", "bad belle", "how does it affect you" etc but I know that for every STANDARD business, the ethical impact of your business decisions are factors to determine a "go ahead" or not. This is ethically wrong IMO and I follow the writer's stance that at this stage, such discrimination should not be brought early in children's lives. I 'StumbledUpon' comments who chided Wizkid and his managers for not lowering his fees or giving free shows for students considering their 'condition'. If this could be considered for students, why not children? Even serving corps members get prices lowered for them. Perhaps the organizers could have organized a STRICTLY BY INVITATION show so we know the cliché is not for every Tomiwa, Dickson & Haruna. Then again, I can hear that, "na so e pain you reach?" ![]() Ayaf talk my own, talk ya own make Naigeriya beta |
These women didn't come out to relieve fake experiences. Experience is the best teacher ![]() |
from their words you shall know them. easy scam, just see the errors in the mail. These guys bad o " we wish you the very best of the middle of this season as you" - as in, seriously The domain, live.com is owned by Windows nau a la hotmail. |
Give credit to whom it's due ![]() This is an adaptation from a condom manufacturer's ad haba!!! |
Nkan ti oo da, o da! Ko l'oruko meji All these "but", "actually", "you see", "erm" etc are not near substitutes. Trying to justify because Mr A did it or using the 'sinners we all are' tag changes nothing. There's a reason why we have something called ETHICS & MORALS, were they meant to be judgemental? Ask the soicety! To a large extent, we believe in Karma and it's instilled in most religions. Sooner or later, repercussions exist. |
You're not an internet warrior but I hope you mobilise, educate and vote when elections come ![]() |
Molestation his victim ke? I been think say the use of that word as a verb na play play until I dey see am for the umpteenth time for Nairaland. Op, where your source? What the young man did was 'whitemail', the brother to blackmail. It's such behavior that some men take into marriages where they confuse responsibility as ownership of the woman or as a collateral to pay for their roles as a husband. No be dem two wan play lobito? So small fight start, you come spread her pictures because you 'manage' raise 70k. If you ain't ready for responsibilities, don't go into any relationship haba! Na still mopstick the boy dey use play beginners level with the girl, if care is not taken, na rod this guy go reach advanced stage with. ![]() I want to be bias a sec and hope the girl did not demand the gadget from you cos 'twas in another thread we were dealing with girls who lack CONTENTMENT as a value every home ought to instill in their members - what job is a 22 year old student doing to be buying shoprite & mega store You want to form Shina Rambo, ore OBO eh? ![]() Ok, let me cut you some slack and assume you guys are well-to-do in your family. 'Affordables' don't use 'generosity' to hoodwink others. It's so silly and immature to send the picture of your girlfriend to a guy and say you did not send him to '2go'. Why send it in the first place? Like the PR Head of OAU said, youths today know not how to use the social media. Confidentiality, privacy and responsible use of gadgets are lessons you and your friend need to be taught.I can't see what's on your shirt but I'm guessing it reads "I'm much much-of-a naughty boy in need of some koboko". hiss ![]() |
Why are peeps overly excited about this man dying? Let him be please! |
gunuvi: Exactly! I don't even know the rationale to thread closing.First to create a thread with similar topics gets it even though the latter may be more active. @topic, can the gun automatically detect 'muslims' and detect when not to come outta the gun when the target is not a terrorist? Silliness is when terrorists think killing people will take 'em to heaven and a gun manufacturer produces bullets to counter them. |
You have to understand the ruling behind Muslims not eating pork before assuming you know all about it. I would shock you that there are situations eating pork is allowed...nah, this is not a religiou discourse but just to show you why you need to understand the whole thing before throwing blanket assumptions. @topic, can the gun automatically detect 'muslims' and shoot not when the target is not one? Silliness |
It's dangerous when rumors become news. At least, the event was carried live by LTV. Verify, verify, verify before making a fool out of ourselves. Do not take news at face value |
As an undergraduate, I looked down on girls that engaged in pre-marital sex especially those that did it for money. Even when I knew all of such ladies were fending for themselves and their family members.
I get your point and the issue of negligence of roles but please, wrong CAN NEVER justify wrong please.

DailyNews: I have noticed that majority of guys that attack writers of this kind of correctional/eye-opening articles . . .Bad company always seek validation and expansion for their acts. To compound this, they throw blanket assumptions and say 'everyone' does this. What is not good is not good, there's no other name for it. That's why society has values, morals and ethics that sets standards for actions & behaviours. To both men and women who are promiscuous or get 'tested' in a compromising situation, remember discipline means self control and having to let some things go because you must not violate your ethos. |
CONTENTMENT, that's the keyword. It's something parents are not teaching their children today. Additionally, we lack empathy in this country which gives birth to misguided kids. |
This sums it up: Head of Public Relations, Mr. Biodun Olarenwaju, who spoke on behalf of the management, described the incident as a "social media rumour.”In the bid to break PS: This picture is already out there on Fb, blogs et al. Most likely, her friend snapped it and others have stolen it. Whether her consent was sought to distribute it is unknown. ![]() |
This may be quite useful ![]() 7 Simple Steps to Acing Your Phone Interview - 300 Hours - http://www.300hours.com/1/post/2013/06/7-simple-steps-to-acing-your-phone-interview.html Remember, "getting a job is a job!" ![]() |
jacob05: and you expect us to read all thisBRF, even as Governor reads today; something the youths of today are lazy at. This is a Governor who often grants not interviews to his personal life. You don't expect him to "spik lyk ds" and have a picture for WizKIDS to display their tatafo skills on. Behave yourself. |
I saved this page to read later but I must say, it was worth the read. I don't like being 'loud' and whilst others may see it as overly conservative, methinks it's a personality thing not June ![]() Really, we have lost our values. That part where he mentioned having your classmate's item (even if it were a mistake) in your bag and not eating outside got to me - CONTENTMENT was something that was taught in most families. Days where your parents can be a 'SURPRISE GUEST ATTENDANT' at school and you have to behave yourself if you wanna maintain your reputation among your peers save being embarrassed. Some may not see the moral in the story but things I can easily point out were: |We trusted ourselves to a large extent. |We were contended with what we had. Stealing was a big NO NO. The lack of contentment has led to man's selfish desires to kill,.maim, rob and engage in other violent crimes just because of pecuniary gains. |Parents were very much interested in their child's development. The child was also the child of the community, not just the parents. Now, everyone is looking the other way and giving excuse of work being the reason they pay less attention to their kids. Finally, all I can say is, CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME. |
How many of us have lived long enough to know who a 120 year old looks like or not? True, documentation may be a problem here but that doesn't make the story false. I had a colleague who buried his dad at 111 few weeks back. That's even 'young' but usually, the ages of the children provide evidences to their claims. Those in our villages live longer for obvious reasons with little or no assistance. We should take a cue from that. The fact that the media reported the Japanese doesn't mean they've searched the nooks and crannies of these world. |

Airtel Nigeria knows that non-BB users make use of BIS^^ Moreover, I subscribed early this month for BSM with an android phone by calling the CC. Sometimes 440 messaging system may be too slow that using the short code works much faster. There's no such loophole a sensible coy will close that brings in much revenue to them. |
