stildude: Apart from politicians and bokoharamites, the native attire thing in business setting is fast eroding. This is so untrue |
@Topic The schools should if the senate has cleared you. ASUU strike is for those in academics, your posting et al are for admin guys. |
“You enjoy these little moments, that many people take for granted. They don't stop to marvel like we do,” - touché! Says a lot about the health-care system. With strikes et al here Hmm God bless Nigeria"Kick polio out of Africa", "MDG" bla bla May God help and 'help'those who improve & destroy our health institutions. ![]() |
Permit my excuse to be 'unSAKAstic' but you can't derive morals from the immoral a la lesson 2 (especially) & 1.Perhaps my school of thought may not 'lol' at such but am sure you take criticisms in good light and you understand the diversity of perspectives. ![]() Lessons: 1 -- MIS (Management Information System) 2 -- Continuous Professional Development You are as good as the date you obtained your qualifications. You have to learn and update yourself to stuffs relevant to your career. ![]() 3 -- Respecting 'Organogram' & The Chain of Authority. Let's you know when/what decisions are within/beyond you, when you should consult or when you've got veto power. 4 -- Professionalism Quite true in Nigeria. Sleeping around or illegal connections may get you to an unmerited position but Karma is so sweet, your weaknesses will be exposed cos you don't merit it. Meritocracy supports professionals (who are good at what they do), they'll know how to stay up there. Nepotism can deprecate professionals but it only makes you stronger . At the end, shortcuts are what they are, cutting you short. ![]() 5 -- That explains itself quite well. Choose your friends carefully, concentrate on your work and avoid/manage office politics as your utterances will be used against you - even by your 'friends' ![]() |
@naptu et al have enlightened some of these peeps creating unnecessary gbege. The way it's written, it's made to look as if Fashola just woke up and assented to the bill. The legislators nko? They represent who? Why people make a molehill out of this is surprising. BRF's father was buried according to Islamic rites yesterday, 6 ft under, no flames. The Chinese for one will actually like this law. Anyway, maybe naptu should provide the contents of the law before they keep on bandying rumors as facts. It's an option, not compulsion! |
Oiza4yemi: just imagn d weapn discovderd and sme mad pple ar sayn isrelis shld nt intvw thm? Does it realy mata who lntervw dem?We could as well have invited the US to charge, interrogate and prosecute the Iranians suspected to import arms during Madam Dora's time; at least US has a huge interest in Iranian activities. You're missing the point. |
Afro connect: you all are useless are you sympathetic to terrorists that wants to kill you and your families? solomon111: Who cares if they are interrogated by Mossad?I see the Aluu mentality. Unfortunately, injustice has pervaded the land that judgement doesn't need those court processes. Please, I beg you not to use the phrase "please don't judge me" seeing that you're now a judge of who's innocence or otherwise. If Okah was tried here. . .hmmm! topsyking: all you foool on here... yall lack knowledge.. do you know when how long relationship btw nigeria and isreal start.even lebanese.. my friend attend lebanese school in lagos way back.. way before i was even born.. my mom friends married an isreal and they av a son together.. isreal companies operate in nigeria as far back as i can remember..most of them even speaks good yoruba.. and most isreali they like yoruba women.. i think maybe it stabilini or costain in lagos waere owned by isreali.. and lebaneses on the other hand too have been in nigeria way back..I don't seem.to.understand this braggadocio. So, Vaswani brothers should become governors or Indians should demand for a constituency because they've been living here for years This is not really parallel to this topic.Sovereignty is one word some need to check first. @naptu I hate being pessimistic but I just 'lol' at cctv We really have 'em archives! |
^^He won't be exempt from any CAT paper. He will take all CAT papers from 1 - 9. True, one and a half years is feasible. If you're serious it's better that way, a lot seem to think F1 - F3 is the easiest and fastest route. Apparently, it's structured that way but in reality, some spend 3 years taking the fundamentals. The CAT helps in giving you a solid foundation for a start and by the time one transfers to skills stage, you're experienced in ACCA exams. Default CAT strategy - 4-4-2 papers. If you fail along the line,.combine and it may become 3-3-3 ![]() |
"European friends" Israel is in SW Asia/ME abeg. If true, Nigeria needs to be careful with the internationalization of this issue. Abdicating our intelligence to foreigners without supervision speaks volumes. |
delors: She was actually making sense citing all the problems...but sh shot herself in the leg towards the end. she is a silly girl taking cheap shots at her country for popularity via youtube. If she truly wanna help orphans as she claims, are there no orphans in Nigeria? She is not even worth my time self. When she mentioned orphans, I was like smh Anyway, someone told her to recite the National Pledge, that sums it up! |
delors: Their discussion caught on hidden microphone!Crass attempt at a joke. |
Wat is all dis fuse abt Lagbaja AGE & MASK.D truth z Lagbaja is old.his late dad died last year 2012 @ the age of 83 (1929-2012).His late dad Deacon Daniel Agboola Ologunde was a highly honoured civilian commissioner for works, lands and housing in the formative years of Kwara State from 1976 to 1979.
Thank you for enlightening the people but you don't really even need to give them these deductions . If his first album was released around circa '93 and he wasn't a child then, some of these people posting rubbish about little they know cos of free posting online would relax and quit peddling guesses in the name of vain talk. gudugudumeje: There is something wrong with Lagbaja believing his identity should remain a mystery to the public except found last minute to exit from this sinful world. In NL, people don't ask or make research before jumping onto conclusions. Lagbaja has explained the reasons why he wears mask and to him, it's for a cause. Try googling that first. Secondly, if you know what Lagbaja means in Yoruba, it's apt he wears a mask cos Lagbaja could be "anybody". http://www.lagbaja.com/about/about.php Last time he was asked this mask question by Kenny, he did say that until Nigeria was 'better', he won't remove it. The definition of better is actually a tall order! To him, that's a social cause as he doesn't see anything to be happy about the governance of the people to make him remove the mask. |
EBK2: There is a new product coming into Nigerian market soon Pearl Royal. Best coconut water is the world. Will soon be in all the super markets in Nigeria. This product is already an hotcake in Nigeria . ![]() |
sarutobie: Yea right! When a 70year old man whose voice can't go pass the first row of students in his classroom should be tending his gardens and playing with his grandkids, they insists he should still be in the classroom teaching from brown and dusty notebooks filled with outdated materials from 3 decades ago...in this computerised era of constant exchange of new infomation and ideas? His grand kids are probably your mates, they're also aspiring and don't have time for him. The old man too has a passion for his job and he's restless at home due ti redundancy. In foreign schools, you have lecturers with half-a-century experience on the job. You don't just throw away experience like. It's this research funding ASUU mentioned too cos if this was invested in, your lecturers would be making new discoveries and will be updated just as contemporaries are. Again, funding. If these schools are probably funded, technological aids can help. With an over-populated class, surely there will be a lot of noise. This is another issue the union had been fighting for. You're already used to so many students in a classroom which isn't supposed to be so. The teacher to student ratio is alarming. sarutobie: The change ASUU seeks must start from within them.A school like FUTO for example, departments habour a silent animosity among themselves and at the end, their respective students bear the brunt whenever they take up a course from the 'opposing' department.what about the fraud that is Post Ume? What do they do with the yearly millions they get from conducting the test? ASUU should put their house in order first! These are administrative issues. They're not exclusively ASUU issues. Another reason they seek autonomy of universities but it seems who pays the piper. . . On the ASUU strike, Nigerians have suffered so much from misgovernance, they no longer know their rights or government's responsibilities. ITBomb has mentioned valid points here but it beats me that we don't query those we elected, "why can't government honour agreements entered into?". The ASUU strike remains a recurring index of government's insensitivity to education. We can choose to be myopic and make ASUU the enemy for our selfish desires but in the long run, the effects of these issues will haunt us. No serious nation neglects education of its citizens if it wants a better tomorrow. The government has a duty educate her citzens. I guess with the way Nigerians are accepting the failure of their leaders, "the mob does not deserve to be enlightened." |
https://akaahanterungwa.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/dettol.jpg The National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) said the product had undergone bacterial tests and failed to kill 99.9 per cent of germs.
This is where the news is, a supposed false claim by Dettol. We have a lot here, especially these herbal guys who claim all sorts yet regulatory and advertising agencies let these ads play in the media. The exaggeration of germs in their ads can be annoying too. They overplay it for sales purposes. |
rigormortis: the girl commited PREMEDITATED murder pure and simple, the fact that she strangled a man sleeping without the dude waking up to defend himself suggests that the guy has been heavily drugged, and six times daily sex everyday is hard to believe, its not a motive that is strong enough for such, the instinctive response to such is to run away, and also frequent sex between newly married couples INLOVE is not unheard of. lastly, a 26 yo guy and 17yo girl relationship is not exactly child marriage, i hate child marriage but the girl has other motives for killing the dude, she is just palying to the current popular sentimentsWhere sensationalism permeates the story starts from the headline itself - where do you have a bride and husband It's either a bride and a groom or husband and wife. Nigeria media sef smh |
ikeugbo: What we should ask is how many customers ported in and out of networks, if 30000 people ported and MTN lost 15000 of them does that harm them in any way, the number of subscribers before MNP on the MTN networks was 45million now they have 52 million so who lost.true! In fact, this is a bias of statistics - sometimes the sample may be small but outcomes are outrageous; am not privy too the data used here anyway. Nigeria shoots herself in the foot when she makes business difficult to conduct yet she wants regulation or 'rights' in the abyss of so many wrongs she created. |
MTN Nigeria has taken a big hit by recording 49 per cent of the overall subscribers that have switched service providers under the recently introduced Mobile Number Portability (MNP) scheme, according to figures released this week by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/porting-mtn-is-biggest-loser-etisalat-biggest-gainer/155048/ My take: I did note that like Ghana, MTN being the 'biggest loser' wouldn't be a surprise prediction but industry experts had warned us to note this may just be aesthetics (see Re: MTN The Most Hated Network? For No Reason ) 'cos after all, a company may make huge profits on paper but have low cash to pay out in real terms ![]() In simple words, this might just be a play on numbers. The long-term effects (let's see in 2015 for example) may however dispute or suport this notion! Reality: much still has to be done as regards ease of porting to one's network of choice in a country where subscribers already have more than one phone for different networks or dual SIM phones. Still, if the alternatives were better, a huge number of these subscribers would rather have one phone or network provider to satisfy their telecom needs. |
scaihai: Well, you can also compare their data plans on http://www.naija-passion.com/apps/best_internet_data_plan/index.jspI love this data analysis even though the rating is based on your defined criteria. Good job if you're one of the guys at the site - endeavor to do more of such analyses. Thank you. PS: the data allowance column - an extra column can be created to show an approx e.g. 4500mb = 4.5GB |
Hmmmm. I would rather not get into an unnecessary argument. I believe you've responded based on your understanding of my objection. There's nothing new in ^^^ however I still observe how tge ONE STICK measurement is apt once again. For emphasis, Temi does what a lot of graduates do irrespective of the grade. |
kwajahafiz: I eat one meal a day at noon day.....yea, plenty of water the rest of the day.....No eating or snacking till the next noon day meal....I tried doing the ramadan fast with a moslem friend just for the heck of it, but found that a lot of food intake is encouraged after sun down till sunset.I noticed eating here but not drinking - yes, no big deal at least we've seen the report of a man who survived for days with WATER! Ayoobscom has already highlighted some of what I'd have written but all the same, Ramadan ain't just about abstinence from food and drinks, that's just a part of it. That you see Muslims 'encouraging' large intake during sunset doesn't mean they're right - afterall, during Eid-il-Adha(Illeya), you have 'Muslims' who fight with rams which is wrong. Similarly, the prophetic tradition doesn't encourage eating without caution as he recommended 1/3 food, 1/3 water and 1/3 air. |
caseless: This is why u see 2-2 and thirdy doing better in practicals, living life or relating with pple the better way and even teach or give u tutorials where u see firstclass lacking the methodology to pass the messge across to their fellows who are in need of help b4 they write test or exams.I don't AGREE with this. This is prejudicial. Behavioural patterns vary amongst individuals - one stick cannot be a perfect index. Some study in school, play at home, hostel or what have you. Some appear unserious in school but 'jack' like crazy at home. It's what suits you that matters in school. I don't subscribe to this stereotype as I have seen 1st class students teach (they gain social skills via interaction and improve on technical skills via retention of data) and 2.2/3rd class students who zero-off social life to move up the ladder to no avail. Moreover if you don't know the concepts, no methodology would enable you IMPART knowledge on end-users. However, it must be noted that there's a reason why it's said you should let school go through you, don't just go to school. The 'culture' of a school has influences on one's social behavior but undergraduates and graduates MUST know that technical skills is thing, relationship and practical skills are another. It's your responsibility to incorporate these as you finish school or seek jobs. It's the more reason the certificate reads you are of "good character bla bla bla" - even though the institution may not have a particular course for this, you're expected to know these. |
Dike Chimezie: When i tried reading Quran,i cam across this verse Surah 9:5 Which read "Kill the infidels(Infidels meaning All non-muslims)".Immediately i closed it-No go area.I pity her soul.Despite that she is 25 and should account for her actions and inactions so i would advice her parent let her be or better more pray over it.Will this make me close the Bible? "Do not spare him, but kill men and women, children and infants, oxen and sheep, camels and asses." (1 Samuel 15:3) This is what happens when people cherrypick for sample bias. Ironically, if the infidels are to be killed, all non-Muslims ought to be dead by now. smh |
ihimami: I am sure your online hatred for Muslims must surely surprised you yourself when you are offline and sober, seeing all the good Muslims around you whom you will rather have business transaction with rather than your kind.People are funny. Anonymity is often taken as an express permission to throw hate around. |
many weird things in the report. 1. the girl got admission to poly at the age of 24 2. when did she leave secondary school? Most kids graduate by 18, with the ssce system, unless they went to private schools. 3. that means she spent perhaps 6 years at home before gaining admission? 4. i suspect she might have generally been somewhat rebellious before now. 5. Hope she's a nler? (at least can she still access a computer) 6. when they moved from lagos to abuja, did she socialize with southerners mostly, or 7. why wasnt she sent to a school in the south? 8. the parents should just take the case to God and leave it there.
You don't expect the interview to give you all the answers. |
FrostyZonn: I don't know how this people do it, but no one is free from their brain-washing.The same thing would not be said by you if someone else came to your religion. Whomsoever HE wishes to guide, NO ONE can mislead him/her. #MyTwoNaira |
Like seriously I do buy some of the points in the write-up but some points make me remember how opinionated such stuffs are - advanced excel etc, PHP, MySQL You're entitled to your opinion all the same. |
laprince: Mind you, proff. Soyinka is clocking 80 soon. And am sure most of us know some attributes of people in dat age rangePeople in the category of Christopher Kolade. Smh for some schools of thought. |
I remember an article posted on Guardian some time back titled, GETTING A JOB IS A JOB. Quite unfortunate I can't find an online reference for it - getting a job is a JOB!!! I don't want you to think anybody can help you, just erase others from your mind and think ONLY YOU CAN HELP YOU first. I don't know what your industry target is but I assume like most accountants, it starts here: Accounting Firms, Tax Consultants in Nigeria - http://www.nigeriagalleria.com/Banking_and_Finance/Accounting_Firms_Tax_Consultants_a.html Use this directory, call or visit some of these guys. Tell them you want to do your internship there - it may be paid or not or they even just recruit you but it's better to do this for 3,6 months or 1 year with EXPERIENCE on your CV than to have home-sitting experience which can't be used on your CV. Considering that you're writing your ICAN, this may suit you you can combine work and job together. You have to start from somewhere, be proactive, don't be reactive. |
Cultured: @OPI don't quote posts unnecessarily so as not to derail a thread but this one here is TOUCHÉ ![]() |
CAMEROONPRIDE: Oxford: Pedophile Muslim Boyfriend Prepared Underage Girl for Gang-rape Using intimacy gadgets and Numbing CreamO you who have believed, indeed, intoxicants, gambling, [sacrificing on] stone alters [to other than Allah ], and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may be successful. http://quran.com/5/90 It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: “No one who commits Zina is a believer at the moment when he is committing Zina; no one who steals is a believer at the moment when he is stealing; no one who drinks wine is a believer at the moment when he is drinking it; and no robber is a believer at the moment when he is robbing and the people are looking on.” (Sahih) |
