That girl is thinking about NYSC cos with the way your story is going, service year will bring another dimension. I don't think she's ready to answer the question, "after service, what next?" She's planning ahead. |
I remember a report I just read which states that when you look back at your wedding album, you'd see one of your closest friends who last got close to you that day. Both parties have to manage/tolerate friends of each other, so if a consensus has been reached on those who have been blacklisted, am sorry, daz all! |

Frostyzone: I'm not here to engage in a blind argument with you. If you take a closer look at the map you brought up, you will notice that more than three-quater of the Islamic government and communist government are painted in red, to mark unstable areas. Those ones that are painted in red but with none of those governments in control are usually third world countries.Wow, I already knew where you were headed. No. need for the explanation. I can't change your mindset as you have every right to your opinion and conclusions. You can decide to short-circuit and zoom in on what to you is the causal factor but I choose to look at the wider picture. Thank you. https://i.guim.co.uk/n/sys-images/Guardian/Pix/pictures/2013/6/11/1370947538998/GPI-2013_bloodshed.gif |
Frostyzone: Take a look at the top 11 and tell me what they all have in common.Perhaps, you should take a closer look at the map: https://telegraphng.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/19b35347-56d3-4bdf-9138-e27491f53fb1.png What does Nigeria and SA have in common ![]() US, Britain, Australia? Russia, North Korea and those 11 countries ? Statistics!!! ![]() |
Nigeria has been ranked 148th out of the 162 countries evaluated on the reduction of violence and insecurityThose are the keywords if you know what I mean! |
Hating on an individual is just a waste of emotions - wonder why people do that ![]() However, I have noticed that in this country, people tend to read headlines, not content. Naturally, as a Northerner, Buhari is a Hausa man (Southerners, especially those who haven't visited the North 'annoyingly' tag e'one UP there as Hausa) so with the misconception about the North and laziness to read Nigeria's history, he is a BAD MAN. ![]() Because of his political position, the opposition will tag him as anti-progress and will give any of his statements/utterances implied meanings for their political advantage. Anyways, if one can sieve the wheat from the shaft, we'll be able to separate truth from falsehood about him. After all, Obama is not being tried for admitting to the use of drones but we all know how Iran or Libya is painted. #Media |

I see this more from the business side - branding for the parties, Loya inclusive. Definitely, the wine is over valued, it's more like an antique. Na business dem o use am do, if not, who tweets with a bottle that wasn't opened ![]() |

Localamos: Let me get this right.OMG! People annoy me with ABBREVIATIONS. I actually read that as PAST, not PASTOR. Imagine I read compatibility in terms of genotpye issues or something.Remember the 20%/80% rule of people who (don't) care about your problem. If he is your fiance (you're a corper), you guys will have a mature conversation and sort it out. Otherwise, you are just 'playig with boys' hence the love for 2 people. All the same, it appears you know ot what you want yet. |
This topic is misleading. He only chastized the NPF for the bomb blast, not "how could you allow BH do this or that?" Anyway, with all he said here, I wish the same could've been done in appointing the NPA Chairman and other establishments too. Btw, if 5 |
Anytime this Mandela hospital buzz goes on, it appears so many want him dead before his time. Mandela will die at his appointed time. Who knows, The Creator may even extend his life more than me myself, so Que Sera Sera - let nature and destiny take its due course. |
anitank: some of us are not single mums by choice. Death happens u know? try thinking before talking or typingMethinks there's a difference between 'singlehood' and widowhood. The first is by choice, the latter is by circumstance in this context. However, I do know that sometimes the former could be by circumstance, e.g rape inter alias but some are trying to curb the 'single & proud' trend 'cos just like unmarried young/ageing women, it's not something to be proud of HERE. #2kobobservations When the former happens by circumstance, a partner is usually added, not sole proprietorship. HERE, being born out of wedlock is an abomination even though it is ironically becoming a fad in cities. Methinks this is where peeps have issues with, not being a single parent by choice! |

Somehow, am reading providence here more than luck ![]() According to http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/providence (often initial capital letter) the foreseeing care and guidance of God or nature over the creatures of the earth.Religious inclination makes me believe in luck, that with hardwork anyway. However this post makes me remember this: "pursue excellence and success will chase you pants down!" Btw, success' definition is relative here. |

naptu2: What nauseates me is the way people twist his words and try and hoodwink people and the fact that some people swallow it hook line and sinker.Same here. No one is perfect but one quality I look for is DISCIPLINE and that is an obvious antidote to our problems especially the 'Nigerian Factor' & corruption. The one that still beats me is how the statements by Kaita & Atiku in the run up to the 2011 elections about 'violent change being inevitable if peaceful change is prevented' + 'making the country ungovernable' have been attributed to GMB. Thank God, we have the internet as an archive of such statements and who really made them. It's obvious GMB still gives some sleepless nights, assuming he decides not to contest, trust me, you'd see the campaign of calumny mellow. |

Giving children everything they want is DANGEROUS. Those voice coaches et al ain't stupid, they'll teach you how to spend your money. |

This thread could also be locked. It's a poll, not a vox pop as comments will elongate the thread unnecessarily. My opinion - multiple account owners make 'rake advantage' of this. |
TRUE. Some guys already did the analysis - exchange rate ain't a TRUE reflection, real rate does it. Today, 100 cedis = 1,000,000 pre-redenomination cedis which is roughly NGN8,000. If you're not careful, Ghanaians will call 1 million to you and you won't know you ought to divide by a thousand. Some things are on the high side there compared to Nigeria, that's when the value of money comes into play. |
Like in another thread, I still maintain that MTN's concept was simply APT for the porting purpose. Some people attach some emotional thingy to the stuff without considering other factors - it's almost like football players and their transfer sagas. I have no grouse against him and as a business analyst, this was just too strategic (emphasis mine) a move. Now to Etisalat, dem no pay me but whilst discussing with someone else about this, I feel they must have learnt their lessons. I read somewhere else during the zenith of this campaign how they signed someone else to 'replace' Saka et al. To me, I think they already have options in their kitty. Saka used to act with Jude (Everyday People guy) and 'twas like a 'Aki n Pawpaw' kinda thing. Similarly, they have this guy who acts as landlord in Kayode Peters' Flatmates - he too is an asset to their ads. The thing is about the charisma of the individuals, that's something about Saka. Jude & especially the landlord guy are 2 peeps they can invest in and in a matter of months, people will be endeared - the koko is CHARISMA, an individual can cut across all segments; from the board executive to the executive omo ita, just everyone. |
