Kobojunkiee:
I have to admit that you have me at a loss here...
Yup, you got that right, you're lost at sea, lmso.

Kobojunkiee:
I don't exactly know how to respect to your question above.
You can easily and in a simple way respond to the question, by just being honest, sincere and truthful, lmso, instead of faffing about with keeping on bringing in unrelated, unconnected and irrelevant intros

Kobojunkiee:
Since I am neither a cop nor a lawyer, what would you expect me to do in the case of a terrorist attack on my family then? undecided
Here we go again. Smh sigh.

Kobojunkiee:
Just an aside, you have likely read, several times, the conversation that took place between Jesus Christ and the thief on the cross. Now, Jesus Christ was probably not one of the victims of the crimes that earned the thief a place on the hanging block, but I bet there were some really angry people somewhere in the crowd that day who came to see the thief die, and maybe hoped he would end up in Hades to experience torment of the worst kind for as long as was allowed.

So what do you think of what Jesus Christ granted him, the thief instead? I refer to Jesus Christ ushering the thief into paradise after all was said and done? Do you think that was a wicked move by Jesus Christ? undecided undecided
"39One of the criminals who hung there heaped abuse on Him. “Are You not the Christ?” he said. “Save Yourself and us!”
40But the other one rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same judgment?
41We are punished justly, for we are receiving what our actions deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.”
42Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!”
43And Jesus said to him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
"
- Luke 23:39-43

When will stop all these your appallingly jumping from one unrelated to the topic situation, to another, and not sticking to the topic's discussion and thread's theme, face on, but instead, if you aren't unanswering questions asked you, you divert or go on a tangent(s) hmm? angry angry angry

Not surprised you getting banned as Kobojunkie, lmso

Anyway, you seem to be the last to know, that the thief/robber/rebel/criminal on the right hand of Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ, owned up to his chequered "bad boy/badass man" days and on the strength of him, publicly and before men, literally believing in his heart that Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ is Lord, and Saviour, then going to the extent of confessing with his mouth, auto earned himself acquiring a VIP pass in to Paradise, lmso. Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ has the sovereign power to give access to whoever He wants to grant access into Paradise to (i.e. Exodus 33:19b and/or Romans 9:15)

Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ is Sovereign, so nobaga, can question why He gave the thief/robber/rebel/criminal on the right hand of Him, a free pass into Paradise

I'll tell you for free, what's just not only wicked but that's twisted as well, on top. It is wicked and twisted, to see with the physical eyes, just only bodies and sexuality, but not see with spiritual eyes, souls and the love, the souls have for each other and by extension every other souls

MuttleyLaff:
"Mal'ak" or "malaika", is the Hebrew, while the angel word, comes from the Greek word, which is "angelos" Each words, whether Hebrew/English/Greek, simply means someone sent on an errand or sent to give a messenger. Case in point, Angel Gabriel, lmso.

Angels, in short, actually and simply just means messengers, and vice versa.

As a matter of fact, in the Bible, angels can be either human beings on earth or extra-terrestrial beings from the heavens on earth, lmso, (i.e. angelic beings) and so both human being messengers and extra-terrestrial beings messenger are often described using the same word angels.

Now, all non human beings MESSENGERS are extra-terrestrial beings, but not all extra-terrestrial beings are MESSENGERS. Same way, as a flesh and blood messengers are human beings, but not all human beings are messengers, lmso

In fact, interestingly enough, Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour of the whole wide world, appeared on earth at least four times, as the Angel of the Lord, lmso.

"And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge,
and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none
(i.e. I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land.
I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one.)
"
- Ezekiel 22:30

"He saw that there was no man—He was amazed that there was no one—to intercede;
so His own arm brought salvation, and His own righteousness sustained Him.
"
- Isaiah 59:16

"I was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed.
So I Myself stepped in to save them with My strong arm, and My wrath sustained Me
(i.e. I looked, but there was no one to help; I was shocked because there was no one offering support.
So My right arm accomplished deliverance or achieved salvation for Me, my raging anger drove Me on)
"
- Isaiah 63:5

Of course, Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ, is an Angel, Malachi 3:1 confirms Him being a Messenger. This is God, à la carte Ezekiel 22:30, Isaiah 59:16 and Isaiah 63:5 verses above, sending Himself on an errand. Praise God! Alleluia!!
MuttleyLaff:
"Who is like God" does not equate to "who is God", the two dont have the same meaning, they are mutually exclusive. He is either God or He isn't God. He cant be like Himself, God.

Besides, of course, the name Michael, means "who is like God", and we are told that Micheal is a person who looked like a human in appearance, though has spiritual characteristics like God

You spoiled a good response with saying "Jesus cannot be an angel". Why did you have say that when you know what an Angel/messengers means, hmm?

“Behold, I will send My messenger, who will prepare the way before Me.
Then the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to His temple
—the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight
—see, He is coming,” says the LORD of Hosts.
”
- Malachi 3:1

“The LORD says,
"The time is coming when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah.
”
- Jeremiah 31:31

Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour of the whole wide world, too is an Angel, lmso, albeit is not He is not Archangel Michael. He made various visits to earth, in the capacity of the Angel of the Lord, (i.e. as Messenger of God/Yahweh/YHWH) prior to the incarnation circa 4000 years ago.

Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour of the whole wide world, according to Malachi 3:1, seen above, is the Messenger/Angel of the Jeremiah 31:31 promised covenant

Janosky:
Bros , don't be too dogmatic about this.
John 7:16 Anyone sent by God is a messenger, a delegate, envoy of God. In that sense, whether a human or spirit being, he is still God's angel in the sense that he was given a mission to accomplish.
Even in heaven , post resurrection, Jesus Christ was given a mission to accomplish.
In a broad sense he is an Angel, na his Father's assignment he is doing in heaven as High Priest
Blabbermouth:
Shush! Did he become a man or did he not?
By the way, I was 100% clear on my use of word "angel" - you see me always use the phrase "angelic creature just like Gabriel".
Hahahahahahaha, you want to run.

Like I said - I was very clear with my use of the word "angel".

You are an angel yourself. You have an assignment to take the good news to unbelievers and preach the Gospel.

However, that's not what we are on about. For the last time, I was clear about my use of the word " angels ".
Janosky:
In that case, Christ was an angel on earth just as Janosky is now
Blabbermouth:
Correct.

Blabbermouth:
Answer this please - there is an angel called the ANGEL OF THE LORD'S PRESENCE, what do you know of Him?
I told you Blabbermouth, that I have earlier gave comment(s) on the Angel of the Lord, lmso.

As you can see, I am frantically doing catching up, and obviously havent gotten round to recreating the post I mistakenly deleted, hence why I've opted to not reinventing the wheel, but to present the above posts, I've earlier done, lmso, talking about "messenger(s)" and the "Angel of the Lord"

What's your point? That homosexuality is good? All these lengthy replies seem to becloud the topic.
I'll re-ask you this question again you've refused to respond to, lmso. Are all heterosexuality good?

Kobojunkie:
Jesus Christ, the one who we are to emulate, came to save and not to condemn even the homosexuals among us!
Are promiscuous homosexuals exempted from being frowned upon and given your "not to condemn" free pass, hmm, lmso?

jmoore:
That means Christians should stop studying to become lawyers?

We should not 'judge'.

Let's fold our hands even when rapists and terrorists are on rampage?

OK!!
Nowhere has anyone say "We should not 'judge'" Of course, judge, but make sure, you judge rightly, make sure you always do righteous judging/judgment, lmso

Kobojunkie:
I am sorry but maybe it was wrong of me to operate under the assumption that we all understand what it means to have been condemned long before Jesus Christ showed up to offer salvation to those who will seek it.

From Adam, we had all been condemned to die(perish). We were all slated to die and be returned to dust at the end(no eternal nothing in the package for any of us). When Jesus Christ showed up, He did it to save those who were already condemned to die for their sins. Basically, He did not come to keep us from being condemned... we were already condemned from after the fall of Adam. He came to offer us a different path, if we will choose it.

So, a sinner who continues to live in sin (as defined by God) has been condemned from the beginning and you taking it upon yourself to re-condemn such a one, does not help anyone because the sentence was set in our DNA from the beginning. It does not help you either since you would be going against the very nature of Jesus Christ when you attempt such. We are meant to take on the nature of Jesus Christ, not take it now upon ourselves to lampoon those who are sinners and already condemned for their sins to die even before Jesus Christ showed up to the scene.

Becoming a Lawyer or judge, as defined by the world's system, had nothing to do with this at all. The justice system is laid out to punish sin, not as defined by God, but by society. So it is besides the point to suggest a follower of Jesus Christ cannot then be a judge in the world of men.
Smh. What a stackful load of confused dot com codswallop.

Y'all, Messers Kobojunkie, jmoore, 1StopRudeness, crackhaus, Mystery9 and even ggirl4real and mariahAngel particularly, when the question was asked, havent been able to pinpoint what specifically is the sin, in two easy going, ordinary consenting adults, minding their own businesses, enjoying a meaningful life long caring, faithful, committed, truthful, honest, loving each other in a beautiful lasting life-long, loyal and most importantly, monogamous, same-sex relationship, free of hate, free of lust, free of envy, free of promiscuity et cetera and that has no detriment, injury, damage, harm to each other, no betrayal of each other, or no cheating on each other, and not causing hurt to each other, another person, an animal, object and/or even neighbour.

jmoore:
So we should shutup and allow rapists and terrorists go on rampage?
Since you've decided to lump, rapists and terorists going on rampage into the discourse on the table, please explain how, when or where two easy going, ordinary consenting adults, minding their own businesses, enjoying a meaningful life long caring, faithful, committed, truthful, honest, loving each other in a beautiful lasting life-long, loyal and most importantly, monogamous, same-sex relationship, free of hate, free of lust, free of envy, free of promiscuity et cetera and that has no detriment, injury, damage, harm to each other, no betrayal of each other, or no cheating on each other, and not causing hurt to each other, another person, an animal, object and/or even neighbour are on rampage, been on rampage or even ever gone on rampage.

Kobojunkie:
Wait a second ... is it the job of followers of Jesus Christ to keep rapists and terrorists in check?
Absolutely yes, it behooves a follower of Jesus Christ to keep rapists and terrorists in check, now the question is, what specifically in two easy going, ordinary consenting adults, minding their own businesses, enjoying a meaningful life long caring, faithful, committed, truthful, honest, loving each other in a beautiful lasting life-long, loyal and most importantly, monogamous, same-sex relationship, free of hate, free of lust, free of envy, free of promiscuity et cetera and that has no detriment, injury, damage, harm to each other, no betrayal of each other, or no cheating on each other, and not causing hurt to each other, another person, an animal, object and/or even neighbour, does a follower of Jesus Christ exactly want to check, hmm?

"34A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also must love one another.
35By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”

What exactly is it, that needs being kept in check concerning two easy going, ordinary consenting adults, minding their own businesses, enjoying a meaningful life long caring, faithful, committed, truthful, honest, loving each other in a beautiful lasting life-long, loyal and most importantly, monogamous, same-sex relationship, free of hate, free of lust, free of envy, free of promiscuity et cetera and that has no detriment, injury, damage, harm to each other, no betrayal of each other, or no cheating on each other, and not causing hurt to each other, another person, an animal, object and/or even neighbour, hmm?

This poetic language writing. If you want details of this reply to my email request, I'll send a link to a post discussing what happened here in Exodus 33:12-21.

Here is the thumbnail version, BACK, signified past, events that happened in times gone behind, history et cetera while FACE, signifies, the future, what lies ahead, whats to come in the fullness of time, whats planned or is going to happen.

6. Jesus mentioned 'ghost', do ghosts exist?
Affirmative, ghost/spirit exist. Case in point, God is a Spirit. We all are spirit being housed in a body flesh suit. We are, in a legal and lawful way, on earth having, enjoying and living a human being experience (i.e. terrestrial experience)

Sigh! All power belongs to God... even the power that is good and evil all belong to God. God is the one who makes the ultimate decision to allow whatever it is that is to be. So, yes, Cain could not have killed His brother if God did not allow him that decision. He controls it all ... after all He is soverign. Does this help? If you are still mixed up, then it is ok.
What's the matter with you? angry angry angry
Did Cain have the power in him, according to God, in Genesis 4:6-7, to know what is right to do and know how to do what is right, hmm? Does it help you at all that God bless every human being with the gift of freewill, so that from exercising this useful, important, valuable and precious gift, they wouldn't have to be a puppet(s), hmm?

God did not put a loaded gun on Cain's head and threatening to pull the trigger, if Cain doesnt go kill his brother Abel. It was Cain from his own volition, who decided, using his faculty of power, will and reasoning, that he wants or needs to have his brother Abel killed. God didnt influence Cain to kill his brother, but rather, He on contrary, advanced warning him of danger lurking ahead. God always warns and informs people in advance of possible danger ahead, if caution is not taken.

Does any of this help you with untangling your confused dot com mixed up reasoning, erhn? angry angry angry

Even the decisions that men claim to be theirs are ultimately His. He is God and He alone decides what is sin and what is not. Your opinion, and mine, mean nothing as far as these and everything is concerned, because in the end, His Will will be done.
"3So in the course of time, Cain brought some of the fruit of the soil as an offering to the LORD,
4while Abel brought the best portions of the firstborn of his flock.
And the LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering,
5but He had no regard for Cain and his offering. So Cain became very angry, and his countenance fell.
6“Why are you angry,” said the LORD to Cain, “ and why has your countenance fallen?
7If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you refuse to do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires you, but you must master it.”
8Then Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let us go out to the field.” And while they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother Abel and killed him.
9And the LORD said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?”
“I do not know!” he answered. “Am I my brother’s keeper?”
10“What have you done?” replied the LORD. “The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground
"
- Genesis 4:3-10

Tickle me more, so after reading Genesis 4:3-10 above, you want me to believe that its God who made Cain kill his brother Abel, abi?. That Cain's decision to kill his brother, even after God had earlier warned him about sin crouching at the door, wasn't Cain's but it was God's decision to have Cain kill his brother. Listen brother friend, God is, self assured, very much in control of the Universe and everything within it, but He is not a puppet master, as He didnt create you, expected to be in the image and likeness of the Godhead, a puppet. Imagine calling God, a puppet master, lmso. Smh. Sigh.

I am almost on the verge of typing that I dont care what cop out you want to use, but the truth of the matter is that, the brain, isn't an ornament to decorate the body with, and so, we are blessed with this powerfully built processing functional gift for a purpose, for a reason(s) and for such a time(s) as this/these. Feel free and be my guest, to underuse your brain, my dear brother friend. OK?

Enjoy your not understanding God. Enjoy not understanding His wisdom. Enjoy making excuses and hiding behind fluffy writings

I don't need to mull anything over.
Suit yourself, if you dont want to want to think abut it deeply and at length, lmso. Watch if that bothers me, lmso

Kobojunkie:
I signed up to Obey God and God alone.
Kobojunkie:
So, it is not my place to decide whether what God said is right or wrong. God is True and He is Just, and I only have to believe and accept that as Truth, Jesus Christ.
No one has contested with you about whether whatever what God said is right or wrong
I am very pleased to hear that you afterall know that God is True and Just. Them two characters are just exactly what I hoped to hear acknowledged about the truthfulness and justness of God in regards of His openness and fair-mindedness to the love for each other of two easy going, ordinary consenting adults, minding their own businesses, enjoying a meaningful life long caring, faithful, committed, truthful, honest, loving each other in a beautiful lasting life-long, loyal and most importantly, monogamous, same-sex relationship, free of hate, free of lust, free of envy, free of promiscuity et cetera and that has no detriment, injury, damage, harm to each other, no betrayal of each other, or no cheating on each other, and not causing hurt to each other, another person, an animal, object and/or even neighbour.

Kobojunkie:
Imagine if this were a debate on adultery ...
If you get your fact right, you would know this debate already has adultery, placed on the table. What do you think infidelity is about? What of promiscuity and/or being promiscuous then, huh? You've read me typed about unfaithfulness, nobi so? Now, my dear brother friend, imagine someone, thats meant to be in a monogamous SSA relationship, jumping from one bed to another bed et cetera, is that acceptable behaviour? Is it behaving OK and fair to his/her loyal partner, hmm?

Kobojunkie:
would you also put forth the same fight?
I dont have any need or cause to put forth any degree or sort of fight my dear brother friend. All I've met from me trying to place straight sticks on the ground, laid beside each and every crooked sticks other interlocutors have placed down, is nothing other than same interlocutors putting up fierce fights, even you yourself aren't absolved of making a fight and grappling with the problem to keep and not change your deep seated long standing biased mind on homosexuality, lmso.

Kobojunkie:

"
With the utmost respect, this "Like I already stated...." remark and it's comment, is nothing other than sheer and pure confused dot com unadulterated gibberish

Like I already know, you're not a diligent disciple, an adherent of, a stickler to, nor a strong enthusiast influenced by 2 Timothy 2:15, lmso. This is the reason why because of your inability at correctly handling and rightly dividing the word of truth, you couldn't face up to answering them two easy, direct, simple, innocent, harmless, straightforward questions.

What, Kobojunkie, in one word, and is eternal, is the fundamental/core purpose of man to God, himself and neighbour, lmso?

Janosky:
TRANSFIGURATION

A miraculous event witnessed by Peter, James, and John, in which Jesus’ “face shone as the sun, and his outer garments became brilliant as the light.” (Mt 17:1-9; Mr 9:2-10; Lu 9:28-36) Mark says that on this occasion Jesus’ outer garments became “far whiter than any clothes cleaner on earth could whiten them,” and Luke states that “the appearance of his face became different.” The transfiguration occurred on a mountain sometime after Passover of 32 C.E., quite a while before Jesus’ final trip to Jerusalem.

Just before the transfiguration, Jesus and his disciples were in the region of Caesarea Philippi, the present-day village of Banyas. (Mr 8:27) It is unlikely that Christ and the apostles departed from this vicinity or region when going to the “lofty mountain.” (Mr 9:2) Mount Tabor has been viewed as the traditional site from about the fourth century C.E., but lying about 70 km (40 mi) SSW of Caesarea Philippi, it seems an improbable location.—See TABOR No. 1.

Mount Hermon, on the other hand, is only about 25 km (15 mi) NE of Caesarea Philippi. It rises to a height of 2,814 m (9,232 ft) above sea level and would therefore be “a lofty mountain.” (Mt 17:1) Hence, the transfiguration may have taken place on some spur of Mount Hermon. This is the view of many modern scholars, though the Bible’s silence on the matter leaves the exact location uncertain.

The transfiguration probably took place at night, for the apostles “were weighed down with sleep.” (Lu 9:32) At night the event would be more vivid, and they did spend the night on the mountain, for it was not until the next day that they descended. (Lu 9:37) Just how long the transfiguration lasted, however, the Bible does not say.

Prior to ascending the mountain, Christ had asked all of his disciples: “Who are men saying that I am?” whereupon Peter replied: “You are the Christ.” At that Jesus told them that he would die and be resurrected (Mr 8:27-31), though he also promised that some of his disciples would “not taste death at all” until they had first seen “the Son of man coming in his kingdom,” or “the kingdom of God already come in power.” (Mt 16:28; Mr 9:1) This promise was fulfilled “six days later” (or “eight” according to Luke, who apparently includes the day of the promise and that of the fulfillment) when Peter, James, and John accompanied Jesus into “a lofty mountain” (Mt 17:1; Mr 9:2; Lu 9:28) where, while praying, Jesus was transfigured before them.

During Jesus’ transfiguration, Moses and Elijah also appeared “with glory.” (Lu 9:30, 31; Mt 17:3; Mr 9:4) They talked about Christ’s “departure [a form of the Greek word eʹxo·dos] that he was destined to fulfill at Jerusalem.” (Lu 9:31) This eʹxo·dos, exodus or departure, evidently involved both Christ’s death and his subsequent resurrection to spirit life.

Some critics have endeavored to class the transfiguration as simply a dream. However, Peter, James, and John would not logically all have had exactly the same dream. Jesus himself called what took place a “vision” (Mt 17:9), but not a mere illusion. Christ was actually there, though Moses and Elijah, who were dead, were not literally present. They were represented in vision.

No dey deceive yourself, MuttleyLaff

MuttleyLaff:
Go and sit down jor. Mr Coach, fyi, Elijah was teleported, as in, got translated elsewhere, then like every other human being died.

The next fyi for you Mr Coach, is that, what John, Peter and James, in Matthew 17:3 saw, of Elijah and Moses, was a vision, its nothing more, nothing less than that and the vision happened, to serve as a symbolism of handing over.

In that vision, the inner caucus trio disciples witnessed, Elijah representing the prophets and Moses representing the Law, updating Jesus and then after giving over control and responsibility to Jesus, to forge ahead, go make a reality of and finish the redemptive work in a burst of power and might.
Janosky you have a short memory. You have forgotten that I straighten up with the knowledge that it was a vision, havent you, lmso

Please, permit me to ask a question from you JWs in the house. I do not intend to argue with you but to get your explanation on this particular question.

You folks believe that a man cannot be conscious without his body (as the man has no brain, no limbs thus no feelings). This argument is ALWAYS presented as a prove that a man has no soul/spirit that exists after his death.

Now, the Question:
For the 144,000 who will be in Heaven after their resurrection.
1. Since they are BODILESS, what part of their former existence resurrected?
2. Since they are BODILESS, how do they remember their former existence and identity (their brains have rot away at death)?
3. If indeed the 144,000 could exist without their bodies, does that not invalidate your arguments that a human being cannot be conscious without his body? (Please, don't say that it's a special case of Resurrection)

Like I said: I just want to know your response as I do not intend to prove or disprove anything you say.

"1After six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John (the brother of James) and led them up a high mountain where they could be alone.
2Jesus' appearance changed in front of them. His face became as bright as the sun and His clothes as white as light.
3Suddenly, Moses and Elijah appeared to them and were talking with Jesus.
4Peter said to Jesus, "Lord, it's good that we're here.
If you want, I'll put up three tents here-one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
5He was still speaking when a bright cloud overshadowed them. Then a voice came out of the cloud and said,
"This is my Son, whom I love and with whom I am pleased. Listen to Him!"
6The disciples were terrified when they heard this and fell facedown on the ground.
7But Jesus touched them and said, "Get up, and don't be afraid!"
8As they raised their heads, they saw no one but Jesus.
9On their way down the mountain, Jesus ordered them, "Don't tell anyone what you have seen.
Wait until the Son of Man has been brought back to life."
"
- Matthew 17:1-9

How did Peter know who Moses and Elijah were, who were long ago dead and whom both he has never set eyes upon before?

Do demons faithfully and loyally love each other? Do demons profess undying love for each other?

According to the Old Covenant where God defines that which is sin for His people, Israel, Homosexuality is most definitely a sin. After all, God disposes.
1/ Please show where in black ink, is the word Homosexuality/homosexual, is most definitely a sin.
2/ Please be specific, I beg you profusely, what specifically is it that according to you and your understanding, makes/made Homosexuality most definitely a sin? You seem to be sure that homosexuality is most definitely a sin, so this shouldn't be hard for you to fully and clearly express or state in detail, leaving no room for confusion or doubt, why and how homosexuality is most definitely a sin.

Kobojunkie:
For those of us in the New Covenant, I am still trying to wrap my mind around the idea of not "Putting New Wine into Old Wine Skin" as Jesus Christ commanded. It changes a whole lot of things, my perception of what sin is as far as the New Covenant is concerned.
The definition of what sin is, hasn't changed from sin is missing the mark. Hasn't changed from missing God's standard, lmso.

Now the question you want to mull over here is, is there a problem with the love for each other of two easy going, ordinary consenting adults, minding their own businesses, enjoying a meaningful life long caring, faithful, committed, truthful, honest, loving each other in a beautiful lasting life-long, loyal and most importantly, monogamous, same-sex relationship, free of hate, free of lust, free of envy, free of promiscuity et cetera and that has no detriment, injury, damage, harm to each other, no betrayal of each other, or no cheating on each other, and not causing hurt to each other, another person, an animal, object and/or even neighbour, hmm? If there's no objection to these two profess of love for each other, then why demonising and tainting this love that they profess and have for each other, huh?

Christianity Etc › Re: Did God Banned Birthday's? by MuttleyLaff: 5:59pm On Oct 04, 2020
Barristter07:
Some persons don't see any big deal in birthday celebration, even when others said such celebration is against the Bible, there is always fierce attack . The Fact that some persons against birthday celebrations does not mean they don't appreciate Life, no, they only meant that Life is to be appreciated everyday and also recognize that the origin of Birthdays is not from God.

Don't throw stones yet. Let's look into the scriptures and see why we know Birthdays are not from God.

For a Fact : Birthdays celebration originated in EGYPT.

During the periods of the isrealites stay, they must have witnesses a lot of Egyptians celebrating their birthdays, one of such cases was recorded, that of pharaoh.

After the isrealites left Egypt, God gave an unusual command.

Leviticus 18:3 " Do not follow the practices of the people of Egypt, where you once lived "

One of such practices is Birthdays celebration, the Fact that none of the isrealites replicate this Act of birthday celebration proves this Fact

The Jews generally avoided birthdays even until the days of Jesus Christ , the early apostles whom were Jews set the early precedence as they also consider Birthdays to be of pagan custom.

Did God ban birthdays... Leviticus 18:3 is your answer
My guy, Barristter07, when pesin dey cry, despite the tears, pesin go still sabi see road waka well. Fyi my learned friend, Leviticus 18:3, just like almost every other verse that God lays down the law, is always hinges on idolatry. If the celebration or marking of birthdays has connection with idolatry practices or is associated with pagan ritualistic being done, then God wouldnt have any hands or party, excuse the pun, lmso, with it.

Birthday aren't unequivocally banned anywhere in the Bible. Celebrating birthdays have their pros and cons. Two birthdays were recorded been celebrated in the Bible. The first had Joseph rescued from languishing in jail for a crime he didnt commit, albeit a chief baker, was beheaded on that day. The second was when another innocent person, John the Baptist, Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ' cousin, was beheaded because of a promise one wrong.

Celebrating birthday is a prerogative. Personally, I am not into celebrating my birth day because every day is a celebration day, lmso. Praise God. Alleluia
