DappaD:
The Bible’s answer
The Bible says that Jesus “was put to death in the flesh but made alive [resurrected] in the spirit.”—1 Peter 3:18; Acts 13:34; 1 Corinthians 15:45; 2 Corinthians 5:16.

Jesus’ own words showed that he would not be resurrected with his flesh-and-blood body. He said that he would give his “flesh in behalf of the life of the world,” as a ransom for mankind. (John 6:51; Matthew 20:28) If he had taken back his flesh when he was resurrected, he would have canceled that ransom sacrifice. This could not have happened, though, for the Bible says that he sacrificed his flesh and blood “once for all time.”—Hebrews 9:11, 12.

If Jesus was raised up with a spirit body, how could his disciples see him?
• Spirit creatures can take on human form. For example, angels who did this in the past even ate and drank with humans. (Genesis 18:1-8; 19:1-3) However, they still were spirit creatures and could leave the physical realm.—Judges 13:15-21.
• After his resurrection, Jesus also assumed human form temporarily, just as angels had previously done. As a spirit creature, though, he was able to appear and disappear suddenly. (Luke 24:31; John 20:19, 26) The fleshly bodies that he materialized were not identical from one appearance to the next. Thus, even Jesus’ close friends recognized him only by what he said or did.—Luke 24:30, 31, 35; John 20:14-16; 21:6, 7.
• When Jesus appeared to the apostle Thomas, he took on a body with wound marks. He did this to bolster Thomas’ faith, since Thomas doubted that Jesus had been raised up.—John 20:24-29.

MaxInDHouse:
See confusion! cheesy

When we told you that you guys are deluded, you'll flare up to argue blindly.
If you go by the highlighted, was Thomas born again when Jesus presented a materialised body with wounds to make him (Thomas) believe in the resurrection of the Christ? cheesy

Is it not after they became Born Again that Paul later understood that Jesus resurrected as a spirit? cheesy

Walahi Talahi you guys are clowns!

Well you're partially right, only born again Christians can grasp these sacred secrets, that's why Jesus said to (his yet to become Born Again) followers "I still have many things to tell you but you can't grasp them now, but However when the spirit of truth comes he will guide you into all the truth" {John 16:12-13} So how do you now depend on what Jesus used to convince those who can't understand this sacred secrets to judge the truth? cheesy
Funny religionsists! cheesy
Ken4Christ:
The first step is to be born again. The second step is you receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues.
MaxInDHouse:
So by the time Jesus' few followers stick to his teachings when majority of them left {John 6:66} those 12 has become born again shey? cheesy
Yet Jesus later said about those who stick to him "i still have other things that i need to tell you but you can't grasp it all now" are you saying they are born again by then yet they can't grasp the deep things? cheesy
Ken4Christ:
They were not born again. They were fed with milk. The strong meat are contained in Pauline epistles. Even Apostle Peter commented on it. Only those who are born again and filled with the Holy Spirit can understand the epistles of Apostle Paul. He was the only Apostle that was given deep revelation concerning the new creation.
MaxInDHouse:
Hen nah, then why are you now saying people must become born again before they can accept Jesus' teachings when those first century Jews accepted his counseling without being born again?
This your stupidity is getting worse by the day o! cheesy
Please this question is particularly shot at Ken4Christ and MaxInDHouse formerly known as Maximus69. Other interested interlocutor are invited to dive in, but please give your answers in the same way the questions are numbered and styled:

1/ Was Nicodemus born again?
2/ How many times, did Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ teach, preach or explain "born again"?
3/ What exactly is "born again"?
4/ How according to Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ, exactly is anyone deemed to be "born again"?
5/ Why did Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ, bring up in the middle of the night, an unplanned tabled discussion of "born again" with just one clandestine person in attendance, lmso?

Blabbermouth:
Your bold claim of "He (Jesus Christ) is the self existent God incarnate" has no solid scriptural backing. The best we can get is "assumptions, maybe, what if, it is most likely" kind of proof.
"All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign.
Look! The virgin will conceive a child!
She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’)
"
- Isaiah 7:14

"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son,
and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
(i.e. they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated, “God with us.)
"
- Isaiah 7:14

Blabbermouth:
Alright.
Smiles

Blabbermouth:
I never said the Holy spirit was created or claim otherwise.
I never said you did. I seized the opportunity to ask pedestrian Blabbermouth the question, but hey why not put the record straight here. Do you reckon Holy spirit was created or not created, lmso?

Blabbermouth:
I will be writing a book if I were to answer this...
For now, we can all settle with - the Holy spirit is the spirit of God.
I love reading books.

Did you have to repeat "spirit" twice in your "the Holy spirit is the spirit of God" contrived answer ni, lmso? Once is enough. You and your game of unnecessary playing the duplication card sha, lmso, smh

Blabbermouth:
Which Godhead? The Trinity? Sorry Bro, I don't buy the incarnation or simultaneous personality idea.
The Godhead, that is a mystery, the same just as is personal name is a mystery, is the Godhead I am referring to and talking about here, lmso

Will you stop regularly introducing trinity in conversations with me please angry angry angry

I am not peddling trinity. How many times do I have to keep reminding you that I dont put trinity up for sale, hmm, smh lmso?

Now, what's your understanding of what incarnation and reincarnation are, lmso?

Blabbermouth:
(I would have answered differently)
The holy spirit is God's spirit (relationship BTW God and Holy spirit)
"The Spirit of the LORD GOD is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to say preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of prison to them that are bound" - Yeshua Ha Maschiach
You think with this smartarse answer, you're being clever and half, lmso, abi? OK, prodding you further, what to the best of your understanding, using ONE word, is this relationship of the Holy Spirit with and/or between God, the Father and the Son of God, Yahshua Ha Maschiach aka Jesus Christ, that you've quoted Isaiah 66:1 or could even say Luke 4:18, hmm?

By the way, its Yahshua Ha Maschiach, and not Yeshua Ha Maschiach. Think of Yahweh, and not Yehweh, lmso

Blabbermouth:
Because it is the spirit of the Holy one.
You again think with this smartarse answer you're being clever and half, lmso, abi? OK, prodding you further, what to the best of your understanding, is the meaning of the qualifier word "Holy" in the phrase "Holy Spirit"?

Blabbermouth:
Answer this please - there is an angel called the ANGEL OF THE LORD'S PRESENCE, what do you know of him?
I already answered that, with a lot more other issues I addressed in that your earlier, I now have to rework from memory all I said in that post. Be patient, hold on to your knickers, I'll get round to notifying you once I've re-posted or reloaded it, lmso

Trinitarians fabricated various contradicting definitions but it's all tailored to the same point:- "Jesus is no part of God's creation" Anyhow you put it doesn't matter, as long as you hold the idea that Jesus wasn't created you're a Trinitarian!
I am not a Trinitarian, Bournemouth, isn't one either, conventional biblical wisdom let's us know that Yahshua Ha Maschiach aka Jesus Christ was not created, because He is the Self Existent God incarnate.

Blabbermouth:
Jesus was created!
Hahahahahahaha hahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
AkinwaleJJ:
The highlighted is where all arguements is coming from! undecided
Its You arguing in ignorance

Blabbermouth:
Was the Holy spirit created?
Capital NO, the Holy Spirit was/is not created

1/ Why do you think Holy Spirit is/was created?
2/ What to your understanding sef, is the Holy Spirit?
3/ What to your understanding is the function of the Holy Spirit within the Godhead, lmso?
4/ Explain to the best of your understanding, what is the relationship of the Holy Spirit with and/or between God, the Father and the Son of God, Yahshua Ha Maschiach aka Jesus Christ?
5/ Why is there the qualifier "Holy" in the phrase "Holy Spirit"?

SIMP, is the urban shortened form meaning of the word, simpleton. It is used when referring to a man, seen to have plainly surrendered himself to the influence of vj power.

In colloquial manner of speaking, such equally can be said to be a "woman wrapper," as in, meaning, a man that's resigned to a fate of being treated as a doormat and will do anything, all for the sake of having some of that honey pot sexual relation benefits

I'm sorry MuttleyLaff, I don't owe you that one. The onus was not on me in the first place, so when you asked "how did God harden Pharaoh's heart?", I gave you my condition(s):
Tell me
A. How Did God spoken words create a physical universe

AND/OR

B. The diverse ways God can harden a human's heart

Until then, either you settle with the plain words " I will harden Pharaoh's heart " or know within you (sure, you might not want to admit because of ego and preconceived notions) that your view was unscriptural and false.

Have a Nice Day.
I never said you owe me anything, but you dont seem to understand you own it to yourself to come out to state clearly and in detail, leaving no room for confusion or doubt how exactly, precisely, practically and particularly did God harden Pharaoh's heart as you're over and over again, always and constantly wailing, bleating, shouting upandan the forum. Just explain in such a way that a 2 year old can understand how God hardened Pharaoh's heart? This shouldn't be a big deal or complex thing for you to describe now

Oh yeah, Acehart got it that, I can be the fiery preacher, especially one with a vociferous and powerful voice, however, the thing is, my bark is worse than my hardly bite, lmso. It is a shame, he doesnt know about, didnt and havent traced the antecedents of the US lady before thinking I bullied her, as if, I am that much a pure sadist, lmso.

Acehart, you fall for my hand when you posted a comment saying that: "MuttleyLaff taint is his behavior. He bullies and speaks with an air of arrogance; but a reprimand would only work on him if he respects you; I don’t think I have got to that place yet" sic, yet you dont understand that confidence is sometimes mistaken for arrogance, lmso. Fyi Acehart, there is a western part of the country colloquial, that says:
"Ti ogun, ẹni, ba, daniloju, a maa, jẹnlẹngẹ, fi gba ori" which when loosely translated, means:
"When you have confidence in your juju charm, you can knack or smack it on your head, safely and gently without worrying about having any problem" so I make no apology for forcibly and confidently discuss matters/topics/issues, that I know what I am talking about. Acehart, confidence, is often mistaken for arrogance et cetera and you easily fell victim of mistaking the air of confidence in my deliveries, for arrogance, smh. Please go review Proverbs 28:1b (i.e. ... the righteous is confident as a lion or righteous people are as bold as lions)

I suppose jamesid29, mister Religion forum police, is pleased with himself now, after his done shitted, all over himself dull-witted remark(s) above, there, hmm? You are full of paralogism and parochialism, you're seethed which is why I referred you to my comment advising that when my posts are posted, interlocutors shouldn't again, ever, jump on them and/or automatically mention me in them. Better still, dont even, ever consider reading them, talkless respond to any, because most interlocutors, just chomp my posts, biting off far more than they can chew, this apart from, trying to take in, that which is, too difficult for weak stomachs to handle and will only end up with having stomach severe pains, but do you take to my advice not to read my posts, not to at all comment on them, that you should just walk by, hmm? No you dont. Answering easy, direct, simple, harmless, innocent, straightforward questions, you out of convenience, keep ducking to answer, but instead, you prefer spewing trash, like you've done here, just as like the last time that I've had to drag your trash to the rubbish bin area, open and dump it away into the refuse bin. I am going to advise you again, make this the last time, until you repent, that you'll forever to read any of my comments. Please I beg you, dont let me find or see you again snooping on my posts. Dont make, dont respond, dont comment on any of my posts. Dont in your remains jamesid29 Nairaland life ever again refer or mention my ID. Dont in any of your typical sneaky way attempt to avoid me noticing, use muttley to mention me, either.

Last piece of advice, for you, jamesid29, mister Religion forum police, checking and trying to correct others behaviour, please remove the gigantic big wooden plank in your eye, before bothering with the tiny speck in other people's eyes.

I walk among the sheep, but make no mistake that I am the sheepdog, until the wolf is at the sheepfold, posters like you, have a bone to pick with the sheepdog, lmso, when I merely am just one of the many guardian of the flock, that keeps predators at bay, like for example, that US lady Acehart mentioned. I stand guard and watch round the clock, so will just very much appreciate and wish the sheep, should stop trying to pull out my teeth, because I need them for the fights, when hungry and devouring wolves come calling, some dark and deadly nights, that could be right now sef. I know, I earlier talked about the sword, but I rather not use the sword but instead just bare my menacing unpulled out teeth. Shey una both now capisce?

I choose to believe hence I strongly believe in the power of a calling. I believe in honour, fairness and justice. I believe in making a difference, I was Nairaland born for this, I will Nairaland live for this and will Nairaland die for this. God gave and gives me grace for this. I will defend my brothers and sisters. I will defend the weak, I will defend the discriminated, I will bring the fight to your doorstep, your base, your home, to keep out from the sheepfold. I will pursue relentlessly all who threaten or are a threat to the sheepfold. If you strike me or those I hold dear, I'll make sure, I reciprocate and make sure you're on the ground until you're buried in it. I am not accidental to Nairaland, lmso.

Now, I just have to reiterate here again that, it’s outright heart breaking to watch and see that the light of the truth, can be harsh to those that have been far too long in the dark. This smh, brings mist to my eyes, even more with these two above tabling me like this. There are two kinds of light, the glow that illuminates, sheds light upon something for people to clearly see and the glare that obscures because people squint and shut their eyes, as the truth is too harsh for their eyes to see with, sigh.

When posters like jamesid29 and Acehart above start to employ all sorts of accusations, like saying: ”… the power and what God is like, shines more brightly through the Christain character than in any words of wisdom or knowledge" sic or alternatively “… I have a couple of times written to MuttleyLaff that he is abrasive, and he should speak with decorum to everyone who ‘jars his nerve‘. I wish he would be a gentleman in every situation. I wish that he would be a martini shaken, not stirred, when he feels roughed up by someone’s comment …” it is because the light of the truth is harsh to their eyes, for so long, been in the dark.

Fyi Acehart, I have never been jarred by anyone’s comment. I am not called to be a gentleman in every situation. I will not hesitate to bring out the whip, like Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ, did at temple, to kick, turn over the tables and beat the living daylights wayward behaviours out of others. There is a time and place for such tough love and the unfortunate reality for me, is that, I am a great deal hurt more than any I extend tough love to. You say " ... We mean well but the methods we employ are cruel ..." but then tough love is the only language certain wolves understand, lmso.

I am marmite. You either love me or hate me. You're better off, taking me for who or what I am. Some may love, some hate, while others turn a blind eye or second cheek. There are burdens and risks in doing the Father's business. There will be loss of brothers and sisters, from them falling off by the wayside, but "c'est la vie" meaning that's life. No matter the risks, no matter the danger, no matter who confronts or challenges me, I'll by God's grace and His power, keep unfettered, going on, and forever remain, being, a defender and peacemaker (i.e. Matthew 5:9)

What more can I say about the "... glowing comments and wonderful things ..." posted above by jamesid29 and Acehart, or what more to add to their comments, except, than, say, if God can be for me, who can be against me (i.e. Romans 8:31) Mic drop.

1&2 The Hebraic bible restored the word wrongly translated as Christian to MESSIANICS. You can also look up the Hebrew version of the gospel of Mathew
How can you say the "The Hebraic bible restored the word wrongly translated as Christian to MESSIANICS" when the original Greek text word epithet used as a term of abuse for/on the early believers/saints by the people of Antioch was "Christianos," hmm?(i.e. christi-anos)

Quit playing games, whats and where is your "the gospel of Mathew" sic, you are sign posting us to?

donnie:
3. They were called Christians by unbelievers at Antioch which at that time was a major metropolis in the Roman empire (the kingdom of ESAU/EDOM). These non-believers were either confusing the Messianic believers with the worshippers of Serapis, the pagan god or they called the believers Christianos in a derogatory manner.
The worshippers of Serapis are called/referred to as "Chrestians". The epithet "Christianos," is a totally people of Antioch invention, they created this new word to slag off the early believers/saints

As I earlier mentioned, the worshippers of Serapis (i.e. "Chrestians'') and the early believers/saintswere were aware of each other. The interesting thing, I repeat here is that, it is as a result of their differences, that Apostle Mark suffered martydom and died a martyr, at the hands of worshippers of Serapis.

donnie:
Christianos was a Greek word and those who called them that name were Greek speaking people and not the Messianics themselves.
Of course, "Christianos," is a Greek, you right on the money that, the people of Antioch, very well known for inventing nicknames, are those who called the early believers/saints that "Christianos," nickname were Greek speaking people, and they knew exactly what they meant by referring the early believers/saints, as "Christianos" even king Aggripa sneered at the prospect and thought of being a "Christianos," while Apostle Paul, didnt even at all seized the window opportunity to call himself a "Christianos," or even identify/associate himself with the "Christianos" epithet. Why, because, he knew what the word meant and what the people of Antioch were implying by calling the early believers/saints that epithet

Apostle Peter, in psyching up the brethren/sisters or body of Christ, even actually in 1 Peter 4:16, said: If a person suffers from being called "Christianos," that such person should not feel shameful, but is to praise and glorify God for the privilege of being called by that epithet name, essentially wear it as a badge of honour

donnie:
4. Why will I find that strange when they were not pagan worshippers of Serapis?
You ought to find it strange that none of the Apostles, not once did Peter, Paul, James, John, nor any of the disciples ever saluted, greeted, addressed themselves or called each other christian(s) (i.e. "Christianos''), yet you, who should have known better, have made it your point of duty to be toeing the line of the people of Antioch, by you too calling the saints christian(s) (i.e. "Christianos'')

donnie:
5. NO. But how does it matter? You are already called that anyways. I'm an Isrealite period
You're so big into idolatry sha, smh. Do you know that covetousness, is idolatry. Do you know donnie that your restless, inordinately and wrongly desirous of want to be an Israelite is idolatry, hmm?

Rationalize MuttleyLaff’s behavior? Must I use harsh words or derogatory words on him before I drive home my point? If you have observed my responses in this thread and some others, I would reply anyone in gentleness; and rebuke wisely or simply ignore.

Do you know the meaning of the word “Boanerges”? If you knew, you would know that I rebuked MuttleyLaff by giving him that name; MuttleyLaff knows that was a subtle rebuke, I am sure of that. I also made him and all those inclined to toxicity to know that when you acquiesce that someone is your brother in Christ, you do away with such behavior.

Maybe you wanted me to use a lot of words to align him with decency; but there is wisdom in speaking as little as possible. The way you have spoken about him and his unfriendly responses, show you have to learn conflict resolution; it also shows you have something against him. Yes Jesus was the messager ordained by God to bring in the new covenant so in a way he is an Angel but not an angelic creature which hebrews was talking about.
Also, humans can also be Angels too but you would agree with me that hebrews was not referring to an angelic office but rather the angelic creatures themselves.

Matthew 28:18, where did Jesus Christ acquire power to walk on water?

which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

You can't run, you can't hide from "exerchomai," the Greek original word translated as "proceeded forth" lmso. Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ, from the Father, acquired power to walk on water and hence defied the law of gravity, lmso. BlueAngel444:
the term angel means messenger of God, yes. Is Jesus not a messenger of God. Is he not sent by God. Is it not in the bible where an angel speaks to another about what should or is to be done.

But you are right to believe his existence is like none of the other angels and his glory and position far exceeds theirs but still He like every other angel of God that does God's will.

To answer your question God made Jesus, Lord and Christ, God honored him and glorified him, Yes he had exclusivity but then He is the prince of Israel, the commander in chief of God's army, the Angel of the Lord, the one who came, obeyed and was glorified. The one called, who is like God, the only one who is like God. Micha-el. The one with many names, Wonderful, Counsellor, prince of peace. A prince all demons have feared and still fear.
"Who is like God" does not equate to "who is God", the two dont have the same meaning, they are mutually exclusive. He is either God or He isn't God. He cant be like Himself, God.

Besides, of course, the name Michael, means "who is like God", and we are told that Micheal is a person who looked like a human in appearance, though has spiritual characteristics like God

livingchrist:
Yes the term Angel means messager, which can be applied to both spirits and men but the book of hebrews was specific.
The Angel's mentioned in hebrews are the ministering spirits, so Jesus cannot be an angel.
Secondly, Jesus became a manager because he tool up that role just as he chosed to be a man.
You spoiled a good response with saying "Jesus cannot be an angel". Why did you have say that when you know what an Angel/messengers means, hmm?

MuttleyLaff:
"Mal'ak" or "malaika", is the Hebrew, while the angel word, comes from the Greek word, which is "angelos" Each words, whether Hebrew/English/Greek, simply means someone sent on an errand or sent to give a messenger. Case in point, Angel Gabriel, lmso.

Angels, in short, actually and simply just means messengers, and vice versa.

As a matter of fact, in the Bible, angels can be either human beings on earth or extra-terrestrial beings from the heavens on earth, lmso, (i.e. angelic beings) and so both human being messengers and extra-terrestrial beings messenger are often described using the same word angels.

Now, all non human beings MESSENGERS are extra-terrestrial beings, but not all extra-terrestrial beings are MESSENGERS. Same way, as a flesh and blood messengers are human beings, but not all human beings are messengers, lmso

In fact, interestingly enough, Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour of the whole wide world, appeared on earth at least four times, as the Angel of the Lord, lmso.

"And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge,
and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none
(i.e. I looked for someone who might rebuild the wall of righteousness that guards the land.
I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land, but I found no one.)
"
- Ezekiel 22:30

"He saw that there was no man—He was amazed that there was no one—to intercede;
so His own arm brought salvation, and His own righteousness sustained Him.
"
- Isaiah 59:16

"I was amazed to see that no one intervened to help the oppressed.
So I Myself stepped in to save them with My strong arm, and My wrath sustained Me
(i.e. I looked, but there was no one to help; I was shocked because there was no one offering support.
So My right arm accomplished deliverance or achieved salvation for Me, my raging anger drove Me on)
"
- Isaiah 63:5

Of course, Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ, is an Angel, Malachi 3:1 confirms Him being a Messenger. This is God, à la carte Ezekiel 22:30, Isaiah 59:16 and Isaiah 63:5 verses above, sending Himself on an errand. Praise God! Alleluia!!
“Behold, I will send My messenger, who will prepare the way before Me.
Then the Lord whom you seek will suddenly come to His temple
—the Messenger of the covenant, in whom you delight
—see, He is coming,” says the LORD of Hosts.
”
- Malachi 3:1

“The LORD says,
"The time is coming when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah.
”
- Jeremiah 31:31

How you stupefyingly managed to make the word "Chrestians" magically turn out to be referred to as "Christians" is a smh pitiful attempt at trying so hard to make mud stick on saints/believers/sons of God/daughters of Yah..

You're so biblically undereducated, that I am not surprised that you dont even know what the true, correct and accurate meaning of "Christian" nor know what is implied by using that word on the disciples or know the implication of the word, lmso

Acts 11:26b, in the original Greek verse states that: "... mathetas (i.e. disciples) - chrematisai (i.e. made to answer to) - christianous - Antiocheia" this when translated to English, gives the meaning "... and the disciples - were first - called - Christians - in Antioch"

I feel no shame nor frustration in keep saying that, if only more christians properly and correctly read their bibles there'd be less christians even lesser christian pastors, but since you yourself haven't properly and correctly read the bible, you don't know and havent the foggiest clue nor understand what Christianos (christi-anos) means. Smello dey smell, ignorantly mistaking "Chrestians" for Acts 11:26b's "Christianos" KMT. Mtcheew. Smh.

29“But what about you?” Jesus asked. “Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Christ.”
30And Jesus warned them not to tell anyone about Him.
"
- Mark 8:27-30

donnie, fyi, notice from Mark 8:27-30 above, that the deity Serapis, never got a mention, in response to who the people thought Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ is. No one thought Yahshua aka Jesus, as being Serapis.

Another fact, is that, the worshippers of Serapis (i.e. "Chrestians'') and Ha Mashiach aka Christ were aware of each other. It will interest you that, is as a result of their differences, that Apostle Mark suffered martydom and died a martyr, at the hands of worshippers of Serapis.

"27King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know that you do believe.”
28Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You almost persuade me to become a Christian.”
29And Paul said, “I would to God that not only you,
but also all who hear me today, might become both almost and altogether such as I am, except for these chains.”"
- Acts 26:27-29

Doesnt it sound strange to you donnie, that none of the Apostles, ever called each other christian(s). Not once did Peter, Paul, James, John, nor any of the disciples ever saluted, greeted, addressed themselves as or called each other Christian(s).

Apostle Paul, as seen in Acts 26:27-28 above, had a golden opportunity or chance, in front of king Agrippa to admit he is a Christian, but he never allowed the epithet word, roll off his tongue to confirm and describe himself as that is who he has become. Why? It is because he knew he wasn't a christian and so wouldn't agree to be defined as such or accept to be described as such

The people of Antioch were master name-calling inventors and/or master nickname creators, they were adept making up nicknames (i.e. "Christianos'') but what do you know anyway, except for being a blundering clown and blind guide leading unsuspecting blinds over a cliff edge, lmso

Barristter07, the only way a spirit being can claim to be flesh is if such came into the world through the door, otherwise such is a thief and a robber, siren wow, lmso. If you know this, you know. Who no know, no go know and its a pity

Watch this Barristter07, God is Spirit, lmso. Now by definition, "exerchomai" which is the Greek original word, translated as "proceeded forth" means, to go or come out of, with mention of the place out of which one goes, or of the point from which one departs, John 8:42 above, makes no mistake, where from Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ, proceeded forth and/or came from to become flesh, lmso.

Other than Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ, are you able, capable or even reliable enough, to provide evidence of any spiritual being born of a woman and/or who became flesh, huh?

Spirit(s) assuming human form, spirit appearing in human form, spirit looking like human, spirit pretending to be human is not the take same spirit actually being human. Spirits like that dont claim to be flesh. It is only Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ, who rightly calls Himself the Son of man, meaning divinity met and coalesced with humanity, that He is divine as much as He is human. No other spirit has the temerity to lay claim to that they are flesh. "Ewọ agbẹdọ" loosely translated means "It is forbidden"

MightySparrow, about question #2 is, yes and no. Question #3 is, fundamentally spirits are incorporeal. Spirits are like your thoughts, there isn't anything physical per se about them.

Let me try to tease something out of you a bit if I can manage it and this of course, has to do with your question #2 and hopefully help illuminate that area more, lmso. Ken4Christ:
Both first and second death doesn't mean a cessation of existence. This is where your problem lies. The dead are conscious. Their souls lives on.
At first death, man though oblivious of what is going on in the land of the living, is very much conscious in the land of the dead. Case in point, the rich man in the parable about Lazarus and the rich man.

Trust this, second death, means an emphatic and inconvertible cease of existence. One word for the second death, is: Annihilation, lmso.

Of course, in the land of great beyond, the dead are conscious, but they are unable to be relevant with and/or be connected to the land of the living. Familiar spirits might fool the easily influenced that the dead communicate with the living, lmso

sagieramos:
God created Adam from the dust and breath into his nostril and he became a living soul (Gen 2:7). This means that dust and breath comes together to form a soul

Can a soul die?
The soul that sinneth, it shall die... —Ez 18:20a kjv

Yes, a soul can die and become dust. The above equation agrees with Ecc 3:20
All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. —Ecc 3:20 kjv

According to Ez 18:20, only those that have sinned will die. Who are those that have sinned?
"Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me." —Psalm 51:5, kjv
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Rom —3:23 kjv
Everyone have sinned according to the above Bible text

What does it mean for a soul to die?
For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Ecc 9:5 kjv
A dead soul is unconscious of nothing. They don't have any memory, neither can they think of anything, nor feel pain. They are not tormented in hellfire so to speak...

Can the dead come back to life?
And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
—Act 24:15 kjv

Another question I would like you to answer
On the day of resurrection, would Jesus call out those inside hellfire and heaven to be judged again?
You're are conflating and ordinarily confusing the Lake of Fire with Sheol/grave/Hell/Hades/Gehenna.

We are destined to almost all die twice. Those who dont die twice, will die the second death in the Lake of Fire, lmso. If you know this, you know. Who no know this, no go know and I apologise. lmso

Ken4Christ:
Yes, there are passages where the word soul also refers to the person. But just as many words can have multiple meanings depending on the context it is used. So, you have to determine the meaning of every word taking cognizant of the context it is used.

There are Scriptures that separates the soul from the body and from the spirit also. In this context, it doesn't refer to the total being.

Let's look at a few of them;

1Thesalonians 5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Here, the Scripture separates the spirit, soul and body.

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Here our Lord Jesus also separates the body from the soul. He said you can kill the body and not be able to keep the soul.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Hear it says that God's word can divide the spirit from the soul.

One last example is concerning Jesus:

Acts 2:26-27
26Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
27Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

Hear, it says God did not leave the soul of Jesus in hell and didn't allow his body to decay.

Even if you check out the dictionary meaning of soul, no dictionary will ascribe just one meaning to it. Check out what an online dictionary has to say about soul

MuttleyLaff:
18I also thought about the human condition—how God proves to people that they are like animals.
19For people and animals share the same fate—both breathe and both must die.
So people have no real advantage over the animals
. How meaningless!
20Both go to the same place—they came from dust and they return to dust.
21For who can prove that the human spirit goes up and the spirit of animals goes down into the earth?

- Ecclesiastes 3:18-21

I can provide more bible verse(s) apart from Ecclesiastes 3:18-21, if you so request for more.

Why would you expect animals to commit sin, when like I've already said that animals, unlike man, aren't made in the image of the Godhead and neither in the likeness of the Godhead

I wasnt expecting you to and still dont know why you could so quickly say, it seems I dont really understand the difference between the soul and spirit of a living being! OK, let's see how much you seem to really understand the difference between the soul and spirit of a living being
1/ Is it your Soul or spirit, that will give account for all the thoughts, deeds actions and words, you made whilst it was housed on earth in your body?
2/ What out of the two, the soul and spirit, goes back to God and the other goes to a waiting room, awaiting call to judgement?
3/ What out of the two, the soul and the spirit, God is going to destroy and that Satan is after?
4/ What out of the two, the soul and the spirit, escapes as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers?
5/ Why is the prayer about the trio, spirit, soul and body, as put below, so necessary?:
"May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ"
6/ Psalm 51:10: "Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me." is a very popular bible verse, I am sure you are familiar with. Why isnt the soul mentioned, to be renewed for a right soul, huh?
I think Vanna Bonta RIP, is her name, who said:
"The body knows no pain, not like the soul. At least a nerve has limits, a body part, a name. But the soul... the soul... There is no bandage ..."

I can imagine how much Eve must have felt in her soul, and intensely she grieved, after she instantaneously spiritually died and then she realised that she and Adam have lost their glorified body, that on top on fallen from grace to grass, they are now vulnerably nakedly to the harsh, hostile, fierce and ravaging elements of nature without so much of any measurable protection.

I can imagine her nostalgia for Eden, its perks and benefits, lost, but then this her feeling of intense sorrow was told her, will worsen, get worse, as in meaning the sorrow will increase. The redeeming grace of God in all this, 4000 years later after that garden of Eden ignominy event, is that the glorified body, the spiritual death, that A&E died in the garden of Eden, is what God with the intervention of Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ archetypically came on earth for to resurrect. Praise God! Alleluia!!

Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ is the first born from the spiritually dead. For, as in Adam, all die, so also in Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ, shall all be made alive. But there is an order to this resurrection: The Mashiach/Messiah was raised as the first of the harvest; then all who belong to the Mashiach/Messiah will be spiritually raised with glorified bodies when He comes back (i.e. 1 Corinthians 15:22-23)

People keep mistaking spirit for soul. The two are distinct and different from each other. We are not human beings on a spiritual journey. We are souls, infused with the breath ruach of God, that makes us spiritual beings on a human journey. We are spiritual beings, having a human being experience on earth. Other spiritual beings, like celestial beings or extra terrestrial beings aka angelic hosts of heaven, do not have privilege of having a human being experience on earth, like we do or like how Yahshua Ha Mashiach aka Jesus Christ for 331/2 years on earth did, lmso.

"And you should not be afraid of those killing the body but not being able to kill the soul.
Indeed rather you should fear the One being able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.
"
- Matthew 10:28

Your soul is you. Your soul is also the most important part of you, worthy enough to be sought after by the devil and worthy enough for God to die for, in place of you.

The spirit of God instilled/ breathed in you, comes and goes back to God after death. Your spirit, is your conduit that connects and/or tunes you, in with the Spirit, which God is. You see, the life of the soul is in the spirit, just as the life of body, is in the blood. It is the soul, and not the spirit, that is going to be destroyed.

That word "Gehenna" in Matthew 10:28 as seen above, is used as a symbolic designation for the final place of punishment of the ungodly. What's Gehenna sef? Well it is a valley, a valley in Jerusalem, used as a dumping refuse or rubbish site and so was used by Jesus to depict the Lake of Fire (i.e. it is a place of destruction, as in, via incineration, a place for destroying things, just as Gehenna was the incinerating refuse dump in Jerusalem)

Your human body is an earth suit, when you snuff it, the spirit returns back to its Owner but your soul goes to rest and a waiting place, pending the day of judgment when you will come forward to give account for every careless word spoken, you'll have to explain the reason(s) for your every word, thought and deed. For the spirit breathed into man goes back to God after death, the soul however goes a place to await judgement at the appointed time. On that day, during that time, by your words, you will be acquitted, and by your words, you will be condemned, lmso. May God have mercy on hardened souls, lmso. These simples, should be enough for now, lmso.

PS: Regarding MightySparrow "How is glorious body different from those of spirits? Luke 24:39, are spirits entities also?" question
MightySparrow, in the beginning, A&E, the first circa 6000 years ago terrestrial beings, unlike other spiritual beings like the celestial beings or extra terrestrial beings aka angelic hosts of heaven, had glorified bodies.

Spirits are incorporeal entities, however, spirits, just as the Luke 24:39 you quoted MightySparrow above, provided/provides clear evidence that spirits, don't have flesh and bones, lmso. I am sensing saying too much and running the risk of causing information overload, so will pause here

Stg man, you're so emotional. grin
You're the same person who accused Solomon of writing incorrect statements at Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 just because you don't want to accept that the dead know nothing at all. angry

When JW's tell you the truth, you won't calm down and learn. undecided
JWs say wicked people will be destroyed forever in a “lake of fire” meaning a death without hope for resurrection and with no trace of existence. And it so happens that our claims are scriptural —Psalm 37:10, 104:35, Proverbs 2:22, Revelation 21:8 but you on the other hand want people to literally burn forever in your mythical apologetic nonsense of a ‘hellfire’ which has no scriptural backing BUT you still claim it is JW's who are devilish and demonic. huh
Can't you see the irony here? huh
At first death, man, though oblivious of what is going on in the land of the living, is very much conscious and to a certain degree knows, all, in the land of the dead. Case in point, the rich man in the parable about Lazarus and the rich man., lmso

JW's believe that Jesus didn't resurrect with His body. They believe He resurrected as a SPIRIT!

Confirm if you will
"See My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself;
touch Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have."
(i.e. Look at my hands and feet, and see that it's really me.
Touch me, and see for yourselves. Ghosts/spirits don't have flesh and bones, but you can see that I do."
OR
Look at my hands. Look at my feet. You can see that it’s really me.
Touch me and make sure that I am not a ghost/spirit, because ghosts/spirits don’t have bodies, as you see that I do.”)
"
- Luke 24:39

I'll take the Bible's words any time, all time 24/7/365 days over whatever falsehood JW promotes. Smh
