@ Poster,
Though Wale's eviction is a surprise, but I would like you to understand that every GUS is written down and that Bob manual is acting exactly what is given to him.

So you must also know that every fault that warrants eviction has been written down and the defaulter must not be spared despite the position or strength.
If this is true then it means they have already written the name of the winner-to-be!
They should have told us this from the start instead of letting people develop emotions that'll be shattered.

@MUZBO, dont be in a hurry to praise urself or see urself with a bigger or better iq. i only agreed with u on that topic cos i found it constructive and objective. i recognise truths and i appreciate them.
@the viper, please get something. I don't just wake up and post here on NL, I probably spend more time researching before I post than @presido spends on porn sites. If you think I'm trying to pass myself off as smarter than @presido then you are right because I am. I only stayed this long on this thread because I perceived him as a tribalist and someone else concurred. Don't know if you noticed but it ceased to be about MKO a long time ago.
I'll never praise myself but I'll continue to acknowledge those that appreciate my little contributions which was what I did to you. Your reply seemed unnecessary but I understand. I also have people I respect here on NL and I'll let them know even though I don't always see eye to eye with them.

It is almost unbelievable that anyone one should not support this idea. I will try my possible best to be there even if its for 1 hour. A protest for light in Nigeria?! Its like anticipating a solar eclipse
(don't mind the pun). I can't bear to miss it.
Gani's million man march may have been below expectation but note that sites like FB and Nairaland didn't exist then and this is not military rule. . .its a big difference!

To all the skeptics, you know what they say: If you can't stop them- join them; but I say to you: If you can't join them don't stop them!- THIS SHOULD BE THE MOTTO OF THIS MATCH!

KARMA: the sum of somebody's good and bad actions in one of their lives believed to decide their fate in the next.(Oxford English dictionary). You didn't see that coming did you? I know what context you are using so may KARMA deal the same fate it gave MKO to all the members of your extended family that voted MKO since they knew he was a CRIMINAL. Don't say they didn't vote o because even illiterates can vote.
presido1:
Have you hard of KARMA b4?Thats what denied him his election victory and killed him as well.
You just use words that'll fit your stance.(@the viper take note). DUMB MOVE! Let me dissect your KARMA here:As you turn on your gen to power your laptop to type rubbish, the gen releases green-house gases that will cause heat-stroke in someone, fatal flooding elsewhere and other deadly effects. Therefore you are a murderer and may KARMA(in the context you used it for MKO) annihilate you for your crime. Don't use words you can't defend.
presido1:
I did not insult MKO i called him his other name that you don't want to hear. His is OLE in yoruba word. Go hit your head on the wall if it pain.
I've heard him called that name many times but it doesn't change the fact that neither you or other punks like you are half the man he was.

@MUZBO

I would have just scrolled away after reading your post, but the fact that you don't know how many million Nigerians have died for lack of a phone. People that Abiola through ITT has killed!

I saved lives in 2006 when a band of robbers were raiding people at Magodo estate gate. Called my brother who was about to leave work and told him to stay on the Island. I called some neighbours whose numbers I had.

In fact, may a cauldron of boiling lava be poured on Abiola's head where he's chained in Hell.
Abegi @nex free me. My question was 'never having had' a phone. . .?- its quite different but I'll still take you up.
Do you know how many people have died because of lack of electricity? Who do we hold?- IBB! The rot started with him- but wait o, he is still alive and some worship him. He might even contest for presidency and you may vote for him.

Do you know how many people died because of lack of petrol/water at various times?
Do you know how many people died because of doctor's strikes? The people responsible are still alive so why don't you invite your devil to come and kill them?
Free MKO for he has paid the supreme price and you are enjoying it now. He may not deserve accolades but he doesn't deserve you running him down.

Yes you can ask the question of Charged and conviction again. Cuz it suits you with MKO, Remember Ibori, Egwu, Mend, OBJ and others was never charged and convicted yet 99% of Nigerians (including you) know/call them criminals.
So what did these people do with the money they stole but kill people. Your analogy is flawed so I can ask this question: Has not ever having a phone(ITT) killed someone before?
presido1:
He did not improve any life par say rather he denied millions what rightful belongs to them.

@the viper, my first post dealt with the issue of whether or not he should be immortalised and I said the date June 12 should be the main issue not MKO.
The internal struggle amongst yorubas is understandable so I'm not amazed that some yorubas do not like him- but do u know that some yorubas dont like Awolowo especially some from his hometown because they felt he developed other parts of the west more?! So why should personal likes and dislikes affect me and it shouldn't affect debate on a public forum. Now are you going to say that we should like Obj because he brought GSM since MKO in his turn botched ITT and 'Benin got phones. . '.? NEVER!!

MKO wasn't a saint but neither was Zik, Awo, A. Bello or M. Mohammed so sainthood isn't a criteria! I refer you above to the post by @canuck. I dont know if you noticed but tribalism is now more prevalent than during military rule- a pity. . .maybe thats why MKO got overwhelming support then and none now.
I'd have given reasons why I think MKO should be immortalised but like I said the June 12 date is the crux not MKO. I'd like you to answer this: was MKO ever accused, prosecuted or convicted for his role in the ITT? Yeah, Igbos in the house supported him, 'Igbos' on NL do not- it means support is ones prerogative so why didn't everyone in Nigeria support Tofa in '93 since he had 'lesser evils'.

Tribal sentiments aside, I believe MKO should be immortalized.

When an individual is singled out for honour, the recognition is shared by all that made it happen.

If Americans dwelt on the private life awe-inspiring and legendary Dr. Martin Luther Jr., he would be a by-word and a reject today. Not with his string of adulterous relationships, corrupt use of charity money (financial scandal), hooked on prostitutes, etc, as attested to by memoirs from his close associates, including his right-hand man, Rev Ralph Abernathy, in his book, "And the Walls Came Tumbling Down."

Nelson Mandela was faaaaaaarrrr from being a saint either! The focus of the honour bestowed on him was on his contribution to the polity of SA.

We, as Nigerians, need to learn to celebrate ourselves.

The Kano/Bauchi Reps want to honour IBB?!!! An architect/builder builds a house and promptly sets it on fire before the owner moves in, and we want to honour him for designing the best house that never was?!

Nigeria, we hail thee,
Here's the most sagacious post on this thread. All you people screaming some1 on NL is a tribalist have failed to notice that the tribalism started at the NASS itself. If that punk Kano senator wanted to resist the motion, he could've done that without saying it was IBB instead that deserves immortalisation for a free and fair election! I mean WTF!! Why couldn't he single out the electoral chairman of that period for commendation if there was one? I also believe that most of the first few responders to this thread put in tribal sentiments but its alright afterall the people you selected in the NASS are tribalists! The move to immortalise MKO is not a dumb move but may be unnecessary for now but to make the date June 12 symbolic is a step in the right direction. OFCOURSE THE TRIBALISTS WILL RESIST THIS SINCE THEY KNOW MKO WILL ALWAYS BE CONNECTED TO THIS DATE.
