Family › Re: Am I Wrong To Want To Marry A Rich Man? by MUZBO(m): 2:51pm On Aug 18, 2009
Ujujoan:
I don’t expect a guy to treat me badly just because he’s rich. I like rich guys, yes, but that doesn’t mean I’m a gold digger, or I’m extravagant. Infact it’s quite the opposite. I live a very simple life and I can adjust properly to scarce resources. But I don’t want to.
So what do you need a rich guy for?- to show-off? A rich guy might eventually treat you badly if he thinks you love the money so brace up.
Ujujoan:
I’m not very rich, but I’m very comfortable. That’s why I don’t want to marry a guy I’m richer than. There’s nothing I want in a guy I don’t already have myself.
You don't say! Do you have a penis? I'm guessing you are 26 or thereabout and already own landed prop., cars and all that.
Ujujoan:
I know about all those prospect thing, I just don’t buy it. For me at 30 if you’ve not gotten it, your chances are low and you might just be a dreamer.
Just say you want to marry a politician's son or one young drug-dealing scum. I know of at least 2 guys that'll smash your criteria but since their foundation is based mainly on family business, their family would easily call you a gold digger and I read you don't like that!
Ujujoan:
I hate to have to give a guy a loan, give him my car to use, let him move into my house cos my apartment is better and then change the deeds of my property to our name.

I hate to have to buy my clothes cos he's not rich enough to afford the clothes I wear.

I hate to have to split the bills cos my pay check is better or even similar to his.

And above all, I hate to think he wants me for what I have to offer!!
What!?! You must be 'stinkingly rich' meenn. Hey, I think all you need now is this book titled: How to live without a Man. Problem is, it will be published in 2020 when scientists figure out how to do it.
Romance › Re: Long Distance Relationships Good Or Bad by MUZBO(m): 1:52pm On Aug 18, 2009
And some people here are talking love. You'd be suprised how little love would mean in the face of suspicion and uncertainties!
Romance › Re: Long Distance Relationships Good Or Bad by MUZBO(m): 1:51pm On Aug 18, 2009
I don't think most people realise that the only reason why long distance relationships are feasible at all is because modern communication tools like phones, internet and so on exists today! Thats why you can easily leave your gf/bf and say 'I'll call you'. @poster, it sucks!! If I were you I'll only try to sustain it if we've been dating before the 'distance' and that means you have to be prepared to let-go stuff like jealousy, suspicion, etc and learn to trust more. All these could be at your detriment if things don't work out but hey, no pain no gain. If you aint prepared to face pain then give your partner a 20km radius, once he/she steps out of the radar for too long then you give 'em the boot or you relegate yourselves to just friendship.
I've been there and it aint pretty.
Car Talk › Re: Cost Of Clearing At Lagos Port by MUZBO(m): 1:13pm On Aug 18, 2009
Hey y'all, pls who knows how much it'll cost to clear a container of say 4 cars at Lagos port? Does it depend on the model year of the contents or not? Also I'll like to know how long it takes the Bill of L to arrive after paying for shipping from U.S! Thanks.
Health › Re: Why Doctors Go On Strike by MUZBO(m): 8:03am On Aug 18, 2009

I am a Nigerian doctor working in a public hospital. I also have my own private clinic but on personal conviction I do not see patients there until4pm after official working hours.  The reason we go on strike is not only salaries but poor working  conditions. I am have been a consultant for 9 years so if I were a ministry staff I would be at least a deputy director. I dont have an office of my own, I dont have a secretary, I am expected to attend to an average of 30- 40 patients a day without gloves or soap to wash my hands at times. If I am on call I sit in my car there is no loung e for me to sit so I either stay in my car or go home. I sometimes bring my personal instruments to work with at no extra cost. ( And I am a senior doctor) . I pity my junior collegues who are just  starting out. At the end of the day I open the papers, read the internet  and see that the average nigerian thinks I am a waste of space. Personally I have decided to stay long enough to train the present set of residents (post graduate doctors ) that I met on ground then I will face full time private practice.  At least that way I determine my working conditions.
Thanks for the input. I didn't even know the situation was as grim as you painted it. Please sir do not relent in going back to your private work. . . maybe when the govt notices the dearth of specialists like you they'd make the working conditions better and the work more attractive.

@reindeer, sure thing! Jealous ikennahill may be back soon. Maybe the guy na lawyer sef and is busy plotting malpractice suits.

Sports › Re: Usain Bolt Runs 100m in 9.58s by MUZBO(m): 5:44pm On Aug 17, 2009
Here is something for you to chew on. IF YOU, RICH_JOHN,  use all the Drugs and Steroids in the world, you still won't clock under 15 seconds for the 100m race.
Why not leave it to the authorities to determine if he's using enhancements.
You have to be good to do what he does. Tyson Gay on drugs can't beat that record.

Usain Bolt is the perfect 100m athlete. You know why, he has the perfect HEIGHT. His Centre of gravity coupled with his muscles makes him the perfect sprinter.
Rather than complain, the world should start looking for 6footers to start running 100m if they want to see Bolt dethroned. The days of stout men running 100m are over.
You beat me to it. I wonder why people didn't notice that Bolt's height and thus longer legs are factors to his incredible speed. Drugs ko jazz ni! If he uses drugs he'll clock 8 seconds. Whats more if he is on enhancers then it means that new rules have to be made to clamp against their use because I believe they'd be new drugs/substances.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Everton (1) Vs Arsenal (6) On Saturday 15th August by MUZBO(m): 10:37am On Aug 16, 2009
Nooo, fluke ke? It is just Arsenals style of scoring all their goals in one match. There are atleast 2 goal-less draws which would be a consequence of this 6-1 facade.
The only plus is they scored some from outside the box.

true say, ive got 2 sisters that stammer heavily when they r pissed off
i wouldnt want to imagine them reading the news or something because ive noticed the more nervous they r
the more intense it is so in a work environment that involves you being in the spotlight, it can be quiet tough.
There must be something in your family making your 2 sisters stammer. Maybe your parents are too strict or too demanding. Its just a trend I've noticed.

THERE'S NO SMOKE WITHOUT FIRE,  that woman in her husband's life is smoke and tpassion ,  the fire. there's something going on btw them, i'm very sure the lady friend in question is single or if married, a very unhappy person. Let the case of prince Charles and camilla the chameleon e a lesson to all. the midnight calls to the palace, secret  letters even when both were married.
So in your opinion, Camilla was complicit in the death of Princess Di?
The lesson here if any is that your husband can have any friend but he won't replace you with that person if you don't give him any reason to or if you don't die.

@ikennahill, I throw a challenge to you and the faceless frogs commending your comments to join this thread and post all they've got and watch me reply objectively.
It is now apparent that you have a mortal hatred for Drs so the things I say to you may not mean much. You are blabbing about Ghanian Drs, do you know Houseofficers there receive at least 40,000naira more than Medical Officers in Nigeria? For your information, your precious Ghanian Drs envy Nigeria Drs because they are hard working. Have you ever wondered why Drs that leave these shores usually do better or are you blind to that fact? All those errors by Drs that you listed are not unheard of even in your precious Ghana but will be detected in a functional system. How about the pharmacist that sold a patient with CML buscopan instead of Busulfan? Or the lab guy that mis-interpreted SS as AS. Don't even get me started with the nurses. So what do you want to prove? Face it, you are jealous, it doesn't take a Ghanian Dr to see that. With your first degree it will take you only 5 years to get MBBS. Its never too late.
I eagerly await a response from your sponsors. Bring it on!!!

Why can't they just say the new equipment will cost 100 million naira and then keep the remaining 8.1 billion naira to themselves instead of rubbing it in our faces. May the devil welcome each one of those thieves with fiery arms after a God-sent lightening strike decimates them and theirs.

Family › Re: When Is A Brideprice Or Dowry Too "expensive" by MUZBO(m): 6:06pm On Aug 10, 2009
Like I said earlier, its a delicate balance. I've known people to set bride price based on beauty of and investments on the bride. If the girl looks like a crocodile and a rich guy comes for her then its a bonus so I doubt the girl or the parents would ask for something that would chase the guy. Also the girl wouldn't want to wait until Bill Gates comes along to buy her 24k gold, would she? Usually in a stalemate like this something has to give and its usually the bride price. If your friend thinks she's too fine for the guy and thus shouldn't go for less then she can bathe her face in acid and ask for a car or if she thinks so much has been invested in her and thus won't settle for less then she can tear her MIT certificate and ask for a white stallion instead.
The point is if the guy complains then she should jettison her fantasy and ask for less instead of sulking. I'm sure they still make 18k gold bars. If she turns out to be a good wife then a good husband would replace the 18k with 24k on their 10th anniversary.
HER ALBATROSS MOTHER-IN-LAW MAY EVEN BE OUT OF THE PICTURE BY THEN.

Shaaarrapp!!! The question was about dowry! Answer the question or go buy diamonds for your girlfriend.

@poster, the girl can ask for whatever she wants. Its the way she asks that matters. She definitely won't ask for such if she thinks her guy cannot afford it but the guy must not be made to feel like he's being milked. Its a delicate balance.
