Flee every youthful lust.lol You're supposed to have more self control than married men and women you know? Sex is only for the married and the bed is to be undefiled. Dont you know your body is the temple of God?
I like your angle because it shows theres more pressure on the single than the married. But truly both singles and married are on this table.
Any sex starved person might not function optimally especially if you've tasted sex before. If you've never tasted it before, you are relatively safe.
Moniter0: I thank God for the revelation of the finished work of His Son. Because of Jesus, we have been made righteous, holy and blameless in the sight of God, we have been eternally reconciled to God through Jesus and what He accomplished at the cross! Hallelujah
As a Christian who believes in the finished work of Christ, what comes next?
Hezzyluv: God is not a failure, will not be a failure and can never be a failure
God's not a failure. But by Oyedepo's standard, he's calling God a failure.
If after over 6000 years God has not been able to successfully undo the damage that the sin of Adam and Eve caused mankind and in fact all creation, then according to Oyedepo's gospel God failed.
If Oyedepo could ordain pastors and sack them for underperformance in less than 1 year especially in a Covid-19 ridden season, then he definitely would have sacked God for underperformance too.
Anas09: I totally agree with the bolded. So, is the Jesus fallible. Is He testable and replicable? Can He be denied?
The bible says no. But there churches are full of the blind, disabled, sick, oppressed, etc. Yet the bible says;
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16:17
Would you say Jesus failed them? Obviously the healings in the bible could not be replicated. Hence they can be denied.
Which explains why the church experienced a great falling away to atheism.
Atiwaye: Physiologically the statement doesn't make any sense what about the people that not go school but they are succeed in life what about the people that have solid education but abandoned their qualifications doing something else.
Fahdiga: Buhari should not hesitate to give credit to GEJ for starting the project in the first place. Government is a continuum
While that's important, you must also not hesitate to count the number of unfinished projects GEJ inherited and left unfinished. We must also not hesitate to wonder why any reasonable government would start a project without completing it.
When credit is due let's give it unto whom it's due.
I also cannot hesitate to celebrate Fashola who continues to shine in the darkness that clouds this government.
All Nigeria needs is good leaders who cab deliver and not just ordinary politicians. We have brains in this country.
With the ilk of Fashola, Osinbajo, Peter Obi, Obiano, Makinde and some new intakes I believe Nigeria can regain its rightly place in the commity of nations as the Giant of Africa.
weyreypey: See what Nigerian youths are discussing? No creativity no innovation nothing novel .... The whole educational systems needs to be unbundled.....it is producing reprobates majorly
Don't be foolish. Not everyone has to follow the same course. Those who have a dream and passion for innovation will still pursue their passions.
You and your siblings, your father your ancestors could not provide a single innovation so you should look inward first.
Maxymilliano: Something he couldn't do since 2015 when he was sworn in ?
Femi Adesina must have thought Nigerians to be foolish as he is.
I have no problem with the fact that he would tackle SOME challenges. My bone of contention is simply the use of ALL. Even President and the Presidency should issue Femi Adesina a query for making such a stupid statement when they themselves know it's ridiculous.
Femi like I always say is just an employee who has to say positive things about his employer or get fired. However there's something called "Overdo". And that is where he continually gets it wrong.
HardMirror: https://cdn.vanguardngr.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/IPOB.jpg Some years back I created a thread to discuss the possibilities for countries like Nigeria that has a majority population that still believe the spiritual controls the physical, hence our pandering to Juju and religion.
Back in the days when i was very active in the christian circle, I believed very much in the potency of the spiritual, in fact i thought it to be the most powerful dimension of reality and worthy of all my attention and dedication. this remains the reality of many people despite their education most especially in 3rd world societies, not to say this is not the reality of 1st world societies too. We would find people who would rather fantasize than come to terms with our brick and mortal reality.
https://cdn.vanguardngr.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Igboho-1.jpg For those of use who have lived in Osun and Oyo state before, we have heard incredible stories of the Ife and Modakeke war which was fought using "juju", the stories are very incredible infact these stories must be the reason our security forces fear Igboho so much until they began to realize he is not as powerful as he claims. we heard stories of people disappearing at will, using eggs as bombs, people who could face a whole squadron firing at them and laughing as if they where just being tickled with feathers, we heard stories of guns spurting water instead of bullets when soldiers came face to face with these men. but do you know why these stories seemed credible, there where no mobile phones back then to take pictures and videos. so where are all these powers now? Ife Modakeke war is barely 20 years ago, how come we cannot fine those eggs that were able to blow up a whole building anymore, how come the guns of our soldiers are not spurting water hen they fire at igboho's men anymore?
DOES JUJU WORK? You can already guess my position on this topic, but i would rather go back to my days of believing in the spiritual and agree with you folks that juju works and from this perspective we can look into this and draw our conclusions.
WHAT DOES AFRICAN TRADITIONAL RELIGION HAVE TO OFFER? well a lot! to mention a few, i would focus on what ATR has to offer that could have been of advantage to believers like Igboho and Ikonso.
1. Iko. Iko in the Yoruba ATR enables the wearer to know the thoughts of people around him, you are able to tell if people around you are betrayers.
2. Kanako. with Kanako, you can cover 100km in just 2mins walking on foot.
3. Odeshi/Okugbe. Now this is the most popular one. This charm comes in different forms.
sure you are surprised i say it works, but i am an honest person and only if approach issues with honesty would we find the truth we seek
just like the Kevlar and ceramic composite bullet-proof vests used by law enforcement in developed countries, this vest works by the same principle. it can stop a limited range of fire power. all things bullet proof has their limits even an amoured tank can be destroyed by certain types of ammunition such as a Rail-gun Tungsten Ammunition.
If you get this vest, the baba would test the vest with a local pistol which is a very low velocity weapon and would be unable to penetrate this vest. you go home believing you are protected.
this vests are made of leather and infused with iron nugget. the leather works just the way Kevlar works, it stretches to distribute the impact while the iron nuggets take the bullets shear force using it's high tensile strength.
this is where the science ends,
because after this stage, the other solutions provided by baba are just based on gimmicks no different from that of a magician.
below is a video of a Tanzanian soldier that fired an AK47 riffle right into his mouth and spat the bullet out... or did he?
please watch the video first then i tell you how he did it.
so you can see this soldier fired a real riffle into his mouth and the cartridge is real. so how is it that he was not hurt. it was all trick and a very obvious one for anyone who know how guns and bullets work.
he only fired a blank, the cartridge he used had no bullet in it. how do i know? cos of the puff and lack of recoil when he fired the gun. if the gun had a bullet in it,the gun would have recoiled because of newtons law of motion. when you fire a gun, the force of the bullet moving forward pushes the gun backwards. this force alone is capable of removing his teeth even if the bullet did not harm him. also the force of the bullet hitting his mouth would push his head back even if the bullet did not penetrate his mouth.
Note that at the 3rd attempt he actually got hurt, but this is not due to the bullet but the hot high velocity gas discharge from the gun hitting his cheek. yes even blanks can hurt even though they are very unlikely to kill you so why is it that only the pistol hurt him? simple, the riffles did not hurt him because the long barrel give the gas discharge from the blanks enough space and time to slow down before getting to his mouth while the pistol has a shorter barrel meaning the gas does not have enough time to slow down and cool off before getting into contact with his mouth.
hence it was all a gimmick.
4. Ofe. So when the Military invaded sunday Igboho's house, they could not find him. did he use Ofe? Ofe is a charm that enable the use to disappear at will or when in danger. If sunday Igboho was really in that house which i presume to be the case, then it looks likely that he actually disappeared when the military men invaded his home.
a more plausible explanation though is they just could not find him. here are factors you must consider.
1. the house is very big with many many rooms and places to hide. 2. he had enough time to execute his escape protocol before they breached his house. the military men where in a hurry and had to give up after searching for a while.
i believe there where "False Walls" in sunday igboho's house where he hide until the military left. the next day, you could see the volume of activities in his house which enabled him escape. the area was not concealed and this shows how incompetent our DSS are unfortunately. instead they took cats from his house thinking he turned into a cat. this is exactly why i preach that it is stupidity to believe in all these spiritual nonsense because they would only make you live in delusion. if the team where unbelievers just like me, they would have sealed the house off and smoked him out of his hiding place using scientific methods not capturing cats.
but what if it is true that sunday igboho disappeared? well if the man had the ability to disappear and cannot put that power to good use like teleporting himself into dss offices just to scare them and make them respect him (this tactic is called Show-of Force) so they know he has the capability to eliminate them anytime he chooses, then it shows he is a stupid fellow, except of course he cannot teleport which actual is the case.
CONCLUSION IF SUNDAY IGBOHO OR IKONSO HAD JUST THIS 4 POWERS AVAILABLE TO THEM, THE RESULT AND NEWS WE WOULD BE READING TODAY WOULD BE MUCH MORE DIFFERENT.
I HOPE WE NIGERIANS CAN MOVE BEYOND BELIEVING THESE GIMMICKS
Not sure of my position of this things. On the one side we live in a society that believes and imposed this belief on us. Hence we end up seeing it as a reality though having never experienced it. On the other hand, if these really are real, I dont believe Nigeria would be as backward as it is as these would make us way ahead of other nations in the world.
HardMirror: Please note this thread is not for everyone and you are not obligated to comment if you are not going to stay on topic.
I have thought about this several times and wondered why as supposedly intelligent animals, we are unable to get our act together and eradicate issues such as poverty.
so i came up with several factors i think are the problem.
so let us imagine we can all start afresh and give everyone the same amount of money around the world, would this solve the problem? for one, money aint a real thing, money is just like a contract or should i say a receipt that is guaranteeing that product and services can be provided at the issuance of the receipt and that that receipt was earned by provision of product and services. this means even if we all have the same amount of money, we would get separated based on products and services we can provide and exchange, hence we would soon fine the smarter people in society collecting the money in the hands of others and soon, we are back to the problem of having poor people.
in my opinion, poor people deserve to be poor, they cannot be helped and should not be pitied.
what is your take?
Interesting come-back. Some of your fans recently quizzed your existence after your hiatus. Glad to have you back.
To the topic, you do have a point. My major grouse however is your submission that the poor deserve to be poor. This sounds both harsh and not so well /thought out. How do I mean? People are poor for various reasons;
1. Some are poor because of laziness. In which case you are right.
2. Some are poor because they were victimized for standing up for what is right. We know especially in Nigeria corruption leads most industries, so if you don't dance to their tunes you will either be frustrated out of the industry and become poor or be set up or even killed.
3. Some are poor because of the hand they have been dealt by life. Poor family background and probably some form of disability limiting their own personal growth.
4. We cant negate the place of fate. Some are diligent and smart but some how things just dont work out for them like others.
But in conclusion, it might be impossible to completely eradicate poverty, but obviously studying some developed countries, the poverty index can be reduced to the barest minimum.
Vireani79: after speaking well u ended up like who u truly are a tribal bigot same igbos that refused ur buhari which u lots stuidily danced naked for and alllowed to rape ur mothers
I'm not a tribal bigot sir. That the Igbo part did not sit well with you doesn't mean it was a lie. Let's deal with facts only not emotional blackmail. Even the fight for IPOB is a fight for Igbos. Kanu even insults Igbos that associate with Yorubas to the extent of even calling Igbos names for worshipping in Yoruba-owned churches.
He has only recently repented cos he has realized it's in his best interest to make sure that the entire South unites to win the battle for the emancipation from Northern grip.
heykims: Most times I forget about myself and I wonder how families with low income survive. I spend more more than 50k a month on food for my family of three, so how do larger families with low incomes fair? We are in trouble.
Correct guy. Your family is blessed. More Grace and open doors to you.
So many guys are not as responsible so we have to appreciate your likes.
Biodun556: This was the period when Nigerians were clamouring for the end of Military regime and the need for democracy. After Gen. Ibraham Babangida annulled the June 12 1993, general election which announced MKO Abiola as the winner.
The election was annulled by Gen. Ibraham Babangida for electoral irregularities, this was before he stepped down from power in August 26, 1993, he set up an interim government which was to oversee the transition of the military government into a democratic government.
This interim was led by Ernest Shonekan. Shonekan was not on the way to give power to MKO Abiola which resulted in opposition from Abiola and his supporters.
Not long, the Shonekan led government began witnessing several protests in the country. On of such protest against this, was the hijacking of a plane by four Nigerian youths.
This happened on the 25 October, 1993. The names of these youths who hijacked the plane are Richard Ogunderu, Benneth Oluwadaisi, Kabir Adenuga and Kenny Rasaq Lawal.
They smuggled toy guns into the plane. The plane was said to have over 159 passengers, when the plane was already 30 feets above water level the four youths began their operation by mid night.
After gaining access into the cockpit, an announcement was made that the plane has been hijacked and asked the passengers to remain calm that they wouldn’t come to harm and they will be told where the plane will land.
The initial plan the had was to take the plane to Frankfurt Germany, but unfortunately, the plane couldn’t make it there for lack of fuel. They decided to land in Niamey the capital of Niger Republic, although they had plan of stopping at chad for refueling but were denied landing.
In 2009, one of the four Hijackers, Richard Odunderu recounted the story and the part he played, he said the air hostesses almost died of fright.
That they wanted change and this was the reason for hijacking the plane, he said they wanted change and that when a system is inhumane, it could produce the extreme in all of us.
He narrated how he was the one who walked into cockpit and gave the announcement about the planed being hijacked followed by one of them, while the other two stayed back to intimidate the passengers not to make any move.
He narrated how they separated the men from the women and also government officials from ordinary individuals who boarded the plane.
On arrival to their destination, 34 passengers were freed including the vice president of China that was on board. Vice President Rony Yiren and also Souley Abdouleye, the Niger Minister of transportation at the time. They had six Nigerian government officials including members of the plane.
The hijackers demanded that June 12 winner MKO Abiola be restored to power and made several other demands for which they gave the government 72 hours to meet their demand.
They had the plane under control for three days until on the 28th October when the Nigerian Army were sent to rescue the hostages. The rescue operation left one of the plane crew dead and five injured and one of the hijackers. They arrested and taken to prison.
One of the hijackers Lawal revealed that they were taken to prison in a community, where the temperature ranges from 55 degree centigrade. They could neither speak Hausa of French and no one spoke English to them and they were were poorly fed.
After 9years and 4 months in Niamey prison they were finally released in 2002. All the time they were in prison they never had contact with their families.
Everyone has a breaking point. What intrigued me in their operation was that it wasn't a kidnap for ransome situation. It was simply a protest.
However it was an extreme form of protest that eventually led to loss of lives thanks to the army.
That said, it's almost as if they knew Nigeria would be doomed after the annulment of the June 12 1993 election of MKO. Time always helps us tell who was right and who was wrong. Clearly their grievance can be understood today because we have seen the result of that annulment and eventual murder of MKO.
MKO was like Donald Trump without Twitter. He was an industrialist with the sole ambition of making Nigeria to truly become the Giant of Africa. But thanks to tribal, religious and political tussles, he never got to achieve his dream.
While I'm not trying to immunized him from his own mistakes, I believe he meant well.
Yorubas say his opposition against Awolowo is probably why he suffered the come-uppance and fate that he experienced.
But at the end of the day Awolowo and Abiola meant well for Nigeria and the Yoruba race. The success of either would have meant a success for Nigeria.
This is where I'm not aligned with Northerners and Igbos.
Northerners and Igbos are strictly interested in the success of their own tribes and regions where as Awolowo and Abiola saw beyond tribal differences and sought to place Nigeria truly as the Giant of Africa.
donbachi: Witchcraft deaconess. Height of hypocrite.
Please before we jump to conclusion let's dissect the situation together.
Now as a Christian and even a Deaconess we can assume she's not against prayers or evangelism. But in all things, there's what is called "overdo".
Until you experience what she's going through, you wont understand how serious this is. 1. The prayers are probably so loud that she can't sleep early or it wakes her up way too early in the morning.
2. She has probably talked to correct them but as Christian's tend to do he probably saw her as an agent of the devil.
DoggoneDogg: To show you the state of the strongest Afonja man in your area, Ago Palace Way. This was stated in the original comment before your bloodthirsty mind thought of death which is synonymous with your kindred.
I know you are Afonja but tell me, are you Fulani on your maternal side??
You do realise that Igbo and Yoruba fight ended under Buhari. If you still carry this mindset then you're simply playing to the gallery of the Northerners who continue to divide and rule the South.
Instead of seeing the Yoruba as your enemy why not focus on the real enemy here?
Lostchild: Although the title of this thread says that I look down on pastors or preachers but truly I don't look down or belittle any humans. I will only look down on a person only if they have evil characters. Wherever I go, when I see banners of those preachers, pastors, bishops, prophets, no mater their title, I just see them as selfish hustlers. I recently started seeing them as men who are using the gospel to hustle their way to the top. I do not plan to attack pastors, but to share my hidden thoughts. No matter how I tried to hide my thought and feelings, God knows what is hidden my heart.
Naturally I dont desrespect or look down on any human being, be it pastors or the handicap or less prividlege, we are all humans and I pay all due respect to everyone one as humans.
Even all those so called GO's that are on top, I dont esteem them because I feels that they are hidden and selfish in nature no matter the Christ they preach or the crowd they control and the money they have got, I see them as humans, just like you and me.
When I have a strong liking towards a preacher, it is because I have seen the genuine character of Christ in them and the grace and power of God working through them to reach out to His suffering children.
If I am personally being very close to any top pastors or anoited prophet, I will pay them the respect all humans deserve, but if you put me very close to a handicap person or the less privilege, I will bow my head in sallute to them and show them great respect and love because I am a lover of the poor. This is why I so much love God highest general, Prophet TB Joshua because he genuinely love all the handicaps and sufferers.
There are very few heavily anoited men, I esteem these few preachers because they went through many years of trials and suffering before God raise them and cloth them with power, these are the ones I called men of God and they are very, very few in number.
Many people around me wonder why I dont go to church on sundays, what they dont understand is that, for me Christianity is about our character and love, it is a personal race, the key is for me to build a personal relationship with God which I continue to maintain even in hidden closed doors.
This message is about my view on preachers and pastors, truly I don't called them men of God because many of them are a hiden disgrace to the body of Christ.
NOTE I personally had encounters with pastors that really made me to believe that 98% of preachers and pastors are liars and prosperity selfish hustlers. I just see them as men doing their normal sunday church business just like every other working men out there. I do not want to share my heartbreaking experience with these so called pastors. What break me more is when I see a pastor being influence by his wife to do wrong to a persons who has helped them. I was broken when I see a pastor I so much trust or believe in, allows his wife to influence him to do wrong to my soul. When I sat him down and remind him that I know what you and your wife did, he started telling me about forgiveness but my respond to him is that forgiveness ia not poasible without genuine repetance. I can no longer tolerate humans or give a serpents another chance to kill me. Since then, I began to see how terrible a woman can be. Deep within my heart I almost criticize God the way he create the nature of women. I almost hate women but I just have to suppressed my anger and pain towards women
If you are the type of man who will allows your wife to influence you to do wrong to your fellow human, you are not a man but a toy.
Like you rightly said most of the pastors today are simply church businessmen and hustlers.
The competition between pastors is even more incredible; Who has more church members. Who has bigger structures. Who earns more tithes. Who has more jets. Who has most beautiful wife. Who has the best choir. Who has more security guards.
