bixton: Yes, 45 days it can be done.
To keep your mind at rest. Finishing and inclusive of landscaping let's keep it at 60 days. I actually did 2 building within 30 days but focused on 1 when we got to first floor slab level. It’s more like a prefab construction as almost every component needed were already on ground. Most developers don’t spend more than 6 weeks on their builds but it’s not the BEST.

bixton: I think a simple duplex/terrace structure can be done within 30 days but I'll just keep it at 45 days. Rates for labour may not necessarily be the standard used. I think 45 days is more like it. I tried 30 but the speed was tooo much. We’ve finished plastering before roofing the house Even the POP guys have started screeding before we roof. I had to use aluminum parapet. It was a crazy approach. The client was under pressure to vacate his former house and we had to deliver the new build within 30 days.

He asked me to deliver 15 units at 7.5m. He wanted to build 40 units. I refused. Within 5 weeks, the project has been delivered and sold offplan. I no fit share pictures Where are the areas of compromise? Ohhhhh..... my mic battery is low Mic off!! |

Chekitaut: 4bed room Bungalow, can be done in 3weeks, am talking of duplex & Terrace structure.
Im taking a case from Ikoyi, Victoria Island, Lekki, Ajah. Lots of properties without no occupants in it.
Only build & sell makes crazy profit(not 30% in a month as the op said) but it takes long to get buyer, many developer is killing the industries. You see substandard structure built here & there,
Multi million structure of lekki garden structure put down because it lacks integrity test. Likewise so many others, I visited one during the lockdown and we were asked to do cosmetic repairs on the ground floor flat of a storey building. #ThisisLagos #LekkiDevelopers I always smile when I read people talking about buying a house is better than building. Well, the gains of building your own house far outweigh the losses. Not all that glitters are gold. |

As expected, I'm from edo state and the rate at which cyber crime is been done in my state is alarmingly high. All the boys and girls have all gone into Yahoo businesses especially Upper and Ugbowo people in Benin, no one wants to learn a skill nor go to school gain. they've all resolved to joining the cyber crime business.
Should SARS go, the government is indirectly legalizing cyber crime and armed robbery in Nigeria. The intelligent ones know this
Yes SARS should be reformed and not abolished totally. Anyone who supports the removal of this body is either a cyber criminal or indirectly benefitting from it.
I've been harrasedby SARS before but nothing happened afterwards. What should be done instead is to bring those who perpetrated incessant killings of the innocent ones to book. You dont throw the bath water and the baby together.
So before you support this endsars cause, think very well on the aftermath. We should call for reformation of SARS not ending it Here’s the thing bro: I’m not benefiting from cybercrime or supporting fraud but the SARS programme needs to be ended. “If it’s working, you don’t have to fix it.” It’s not working, let’s end it and start something fresh. Put those guys in the street, let them hustle like everyone else and understand what it takes to earn living legitimately. They’re too lowly to be reformed. Let’s introduce some freshness into the system. People like Frank Mba are product of systems where things are working. He’s not a typical naija police. You can see the difference. Just find out more about him and his reign as Area Commander, Festac/Amuwo Odofin, Lagos. Even all the people working with him are decent! He sure knew what to do if only he’s allowed. Look at his engagement with Naira Marley. Who would attack such an officer? |

ThreeBlackBird: Then the whole world must be willing to clap for "unarmed, peaceful protesters" who murdered a police officer, injured another and carted away his rifle.
They will clap for mob who invaded the station, shattered everything in sight and dared the police to come out, forgetting that there is an armoury in each station but the police is just exercising restrain.
Even the United States police would put a bullet in your skull the moment they feel threatened in self defense.
Now, criminals have hijacked the protest and are going about provoking the police. I can assure you that there would be casualties if this continues and it would be more on the civilians side.
In the meantime, I think I understand better why the government disperses a protest before it begins. Anarchy is looming. The only thing required for evil for triumph is for the few good men to keep silent. Did the protesters just started attacking policemen without any provocative action? |

OAUTemitayo: What did PDP do in Ogun state? You are defending them because you benefited. PDP was a disaster in Ogun state. A monumental failure. APC outclassed PDP in all ramifications in Ogun state I just presented an irrefutable fact up there. Argue with that. I repeat. I interconnected all the ministries, including government house and governors office in Ogun state to save huge cost of internet subscription. You might be able to wrap your head around the economics behind this but that’s what good government do. They don’t go about snapping roads. They cut of bureaucratic process. Reduce excess spendings and make lives better. Guess what Daniel did. He brought all the ministries together into what you have as the New Secretariat today. He attracted investors. No matter the number of roads and all the theatrics in Ogun state, our biggest loss is the Olokonla Project. I’m sure you don’t know the Lekki-Free Trade Zone Project was meant to be in Ogun state and Dangote even adviced Amosun to continue with the programmes of his predecessor. You’re there talking about projects that hasn’t really benefited the people. Omo you’re a baby politician. I can’t trade word with you. Let’s get back to Ondo Election. ____ Read more about the investments that Daniel attracted into Ogun state and compare it with roads and other stuffs Amosun did. Even Abeokuta he is continuing with the road at Lafenwa that Amosun abandoned for over three years. He has done Elite road. What about over 250 housing units in Abeokuta that is already at 90% completion. He has restarted some roads in Sango that Amosun abandoned. He has done primary health care centers. He paid part of the money Amosun owed workers.
He is a bad publicist and it may cost him. But saying he is doing nothing means either you are out of touch with reality or just hate him because of Amosun.
I will create a thread soon on his projects. Just shaking my heads when I read this. Do you mean those schools that one block out of 10 were refurbished? Or do you mean those substandard roads being constructed? Who channel drainage into a stadium? If not an incompetent person. Go and check the road being constructed in Ijebu Ode (alone stadium road). You’re doing great sha. _____ Can we do me against your governor then? I installed 1000 computers ICT laboratory in MAPOLY in partnership with Zinox Computers. I interconnected all the ministries. I repeat ALL the ministries including government house and governors office on one robust network to cut reduce recurring expenditures on internet service. Do you want more? adenigga: Policemen in six trucks created panic in Ughelli town yesterday as they searched different areas of the town for persons allegedly behind the killing a policeman during anti-SARS protest on Thursday. Hoodlums had hijacked an End-SARS protest in Otovwodo area of Ughelli, overpowered two policemen on duty, disarmed one of them and shot him to death with his rifle. The second policeman was seriously wounded and is receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital. The hoodlums also destroyed several vehicles.
Yesterday, heavily armed policemen stormed the town in search of “Yahoo Boys who allegedly sponsored the protesters,” shooting endlessly into the air as people scampered to safety.
Over eleven young men were arrested and bundled into the trucks; some were forced to lay in awkward positions in the trucks as they sped to the Ughelli Police command.
The Inspector General of Police, (IGP) Mohammed Adamu, who condemned the “unprovoked and violent attack” on policemen, ordered the Delta state Commissioner of Police to investigate the circumstances that led to the killing of a police officer during an #EndSARS protest in Ughelli, Delta state.
The IGP also directed that the perpetrators of the act, which he described as “cruel,” be brought to book. A statement by Force Public Relation Officer, Frank Mba, stated: “The incident, which resulted in the unfortunate death of one Police officer, Corporal Etaga Stanley attached to ‘A’ Division, Ughelli, Delta State, who was attacked and brutally murdered by the protesters also left another, Sergeant Patrick Okuone with serious body injury sustained from gunshot by the protesters.
“The protesters also carted away one (1) service AK47 rifle with breach no 56-2609008 and 25 rounds of live ammunition that was with the deceased at the time of the incident.
“The IGP, who described the incident as cruel and unwarranted, has warned that the Force will no longer tolerate any attack on its personnel or any member of the law enforcement community by any individual or group protesting under any guise.
“The IGP notes that protest by citizens remain a legitimate means for airing their concerns and views. It must however be carried out with all sense of responsibility and within the confines of the law.”
While condoling the family and friends of the late Corporal Etaga Stanley who paid the supreme price in the service of our dear nation, the IGP also commended the officers of the Delta State Police Command for exercising restraint in the face of the immoral and unjustified provocation.

In such situations it is best to work at forging unity in diversity via restructuring. Let component units live as they wish with a weak centre at Abuja for defence, external affairs, economy and currency matters. Folks will see which region is best to live in and through peer review mechanisms regional governments will get better going forward. This is one of the most sensible post I’ve read in decades.
