Hello my people of nairaland, so many of you guys know me here,but really most don't know me when it comes to reality.

There is something bothering my mind and I seriously need advice from wiser people,by the grace of God I will be a graduate next year
(Electrical and Electronic Engineering) in one of the universities in north,but seriously for some times now have been having some deep taughts of how hard life might be after school, because honestly I don't have anybody, no connection nothing nothing.

So recently, a friend of mine whose dad is an army,came to our school then on sighting me he just started calling me GENERAL,at first I was not taking it serious coz I never for once taught of joining army,but the man was damn serious,just today I saw his text msg and in his texts he seriously want me to join on a short service style, he was even assuring me of how easy he was going to make it happen, like am
seriously confuse!!!!

please has anybody gone for the short service training before?

what are the requirements?

Uncle the best way of bringing peace to ur home is by gaining ur position back as the head of the family.... When women are put in such position they can't handle it cos they were not made to be so.. That's for married couples oo.. Try getting a job or go into business that will give u an edge over her... With that u will have ur home back... If not oga u never see anything ooo...

Wahala in marriages especially when the foundation is faulty I'll never advise a idle lady to go into marriage, she must have something little to support her husband at home, she should learn a handiwork or business, instead of spending much on wedding, they can use it for her to start a business and do a low key wedding. If she can't understand your financial condition as an adult and how Nigeria economy is so bad now, I don't know what else she needs. Emotionally she might be disturbed for infertility.

I beg to disagree, if people know how versatile chemical engineering is, they won't come and talk down on the course.
With Chemical Engineering, you have so many opportunities, unless you don't know the course. Someone even said his brother studied chemical engineering and later went to civil because of lack of job, pls your brother is the problem not the course he studied

Look at you educating me....... sometimes your kind feels that they know it all. All this you are trying so hard elaborate started recently with IPPIS. What of the private Universities? Is IPPIS also there?

I have not said the salary is enough......just letting you know that some of them still collect from other schools.

I work as a senior brand designer in one of the multinationals in the country. My being there sparked my interest in building a career in marketing.

I am from an Electrical Electronics Engineering background. While in school i loved both engineering and graphics design. I have also wanted the opportunity of working for brands to change or improve consumer perception of a product from ideation to final production.

I'd really appreciate your thoughts.

Am a 24 years medical student in my fourth year of the university I meet her when we where in our second year I never knew she was even in our class until our second year at first we where only saying hello to each other than some school stuff brought us together in our third year ever since we became close as friends and now I am realizing that I really like her and I want more than just being normal friends with her.

I feel it wouldn't be right because we are in the same department same level in school I keep on trying to let the feeling go but everyday I keep on seeing her and my feelings for her keep on increasing.

I really need advice on what to do I don't know what to do about the emotions I feel towards her.
