A Woman Simply Identified As Hauwa’u, has fled after pouring hot water on her co-wife, Bushra Ibrahim, in the Unguwar Sadauki in Jere Town, Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

It was gathered that the incident happened around 10pm on Sunday, February 18, 2024, in their matrimonial home, three months after Bushra was brought to the house as second wife.

Speaking to the Daily Trust, the victim explained that the suspect demanded to get access into her room in order to recover something that she claimed was hers.

“I demanded to find out what the item was, and she responded that it’s a pillow which had been kept with me by our husband. I insisted that she should wait for the return of our husband who had travelled to Kano for business,” she explained.

"I then called our husband over the phone to inquire about the pillow. He told me the pillow belonged to someone else entrusted to him, but that since she had insisted on it, I should give it to her for the sake of peace.

"I, however, ended up fighting with Hauwa’u, and in the process dragged her out of my room. She threatened me that I should expect something from her and left for her room.

“The following day, I left the house for a wedding, and on getting back around 8pm, we spoke to each other. I received a call from our husband about two hours thereafter, who demanded that I prepare something for him to eat. I was in the process of cooking when she came behind me and poured hot water over me

The husband of the women, Malam Ibrahim Mai Inyas, said all efforts to access his first wife, the suspect, who fled the area immediately with their only son of about one year, had so far proved abortive.

Members Of The Celestial Church of Christ Shogbamu Parish in the Gbagada area of Lagos State, have been thrown into mourning after one of its prophets, Remilekun Oriyomi, went missing and was later found dead at a beach in Lagos State.

According To Reports, the youths in the church had organized a Valentine's love feast at the Beach Resort in Ogombo, Lagos State on Saturday 17th of February, 2024. It was gathered that the Shepherd warned the Parish Youths not to embark on this journey, but they were adamant and still went ahead with the plan.

Prophet Oriyomi who led 15 other youths to the beach was declared during the beach hangout on Saturday. After a frantic search, his body was later found on Monday, February 19.

May His Soul Rest In Peace, Amen.

Tragedy Occurred On Tuesday morning in Ebonyi State as a middle-aged pregnant housewife pushed her husband to death from a two-storey.

The Victim, Mr Nwoga Maduabuchi, from Akparata village, Igbeagu community in the Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, was said to have been married to the suspect, his second wife, from Uburu community, in the Ohaozara Local Government Area and lived in Abakaliki, the state capital.

A Security Officer, who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity, said the victim was arguing with his second wife over a family issue, when the incident occurred.

According to the source, “The man is just a victim of domestic violence.

“He had two wives. The first wife is from Izzi Local Government Area; while the second wife is from Uburu, in the Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state.

“It’s a family matter. But the second became so enraged over the matter and acted the way she did, by pushing her husband down from the two-storey building. That’s the height of it. That’s the height of wickedness.”

Another reliable source, who equally pleaded not to be mentioned in print, said the suspect was heavily pregnant but was intermittently having quarrels with her late husband, adding that, “The second wife was constantly nagging.”

Another community source, Ogo Mike, described the situation as horrible, saying the victim was an elder brother to his friend.

When PUNCH Metro contacted the Police Public Relations Officer, Ebonyi State Police Command, DSP Ukandu Joshua, he claimed he had yet to be informed of the incident by the Divisional Police Officer.

According to him, he was not in the know of where, in Abakaliki, the incident took place, in order to ascertain what happened.

When our correspondent inquired, he asked, “Where did it happen so I can reach the DPO of the place?”
