Ayoola03:I attend Fanshawe. Yes, that has to be the cheapest. How many washrooms are in the penthouse? |
Ayoola03:Congrats in advance, I stay on Huron street... 300CAD is super cheap |
Bede2u:Quality of life (which is relative) is much more important than money to some. I am in Canada for my future kids, my own security and peace of mind. I want my kids to be raised in a sane environment and for them to have choices I never had in life. Having dual citizenship will give them a right to choose, a right I never had. Everything is not about money. However, I must admit that some people are better of migrating through PR once they reach a certain level in life. Every case must be treated in its own uniqueness. |
livepluslife:Anyone, including a 43 year old woman, can get Canada visa once they can convince the visa officer plus grace of God. (1) I think the real question is how will you take care of four daughters in Canada alone? can you please explain how you plan on doing this? If you don't have a solid plan, trust me, you will be stressed out. I hate to say this, you may even be depressed (God forbid and this will not be your portion) because you are without your hubby and you will constantly wish he was around to help out with the kids. (2) Are you very sure the reason you want to leave Nigeria with 4 children is because of a change of environment? Please you need to know the "why" of your decision as this will keep you going once you move out and face challenges. Please permit me to speak freely; until you can convince me of a good financial back up plan (not my brother promised or he is financially capable) on how you plan on taking care of yourself and 4 kids alone without family support (you will not get it in Canada), I will say don't move to Canada. Please, this is my opinion. Taking care of myself, studying and working in Canada is hard work. Taking care of yourself plus 4 kids is extra hard work. You may likely not work and will be pulling resources from your savings in Nigeria for 2 years, till you get your work permit. Do you have those funds ready? can you pay for a nanny? Let me add ... (1) If you don't plan on taking all four kids along, disregard my suggestions above. (2) If your daughters are above 10 years of age, then situation changes and makes it easier. (3) Make sure you have at least 5 million naira cash in your bank account after paying your full tuition fees, which you can use in taking care of yourself, daughters food and housing. Why did I say this? In your condition, you cannot be stressed out emotionally and start thinking of how to pay fees or take care of kids and so forth, else, you will freak out and break down. (4) Do you have your own cash and not just relying on your brothers support financially should in case things go south? Can your brother transfer cash to your account before you move out of the country? (4) Have you been on holiday since your husbands demise? I suggest you take a 2 week holiday with your daughters to Canada, UK or anywhere else, when you are back, think about the Canada study plan again before making a decision. What are your plans should in case you get to Canada and your brother can no longer support you financially? How a single guy will react is different from how a mother with 4 kids will. For example, if I cannot pay my fees anymore in Canada (I pray this does not happen to me), worse case scenario, as a single guy, I will marry a citizen … how would you, a mother of 4 react?Identify all risks and prepare your contingency plans. Above all, please seek God's face. I honestly pray that the Almighty God will give you wisdom and direction in this next phase of your life. I do not like to sound spiritual, but before moving from UK to Canada, I fasted and prayed for 1 full week because I know if everyone fails me, God cannot fail. All I need in life is God. I wish you all the best |
Nellykuch:are you in London already? I think richcasey already contacted you but if you still need help, you can send me a pm. The school will also give you 2 nights of stay in a motel if you request for it. |
ahmedio2017:I don't bro. |
sunkanmi562:There are people without travel history that have gotten Visa's from Nigeria. Maybe, Just maybe these agents get better commission rates with Humber college. P.s not all schools use agents International admissions. I only know of Fanshawe College. Visa processing should be done by you and you alone All the best bro. |
Vesment:There is a reason why bro...Their TRV application is different to ours (Nigerians). Indians open a canadian bank account (most likely Scotia bank) and must deposit 10,000 dollars for maintenance before they begin their visa processing. Once they deposit this amount, the bank gives them a receipt to show they have deposited the amount and they attach this receipt when applying for visa. When they get to Canada, the bank gives them 2000cad first payment and 650cad every other month till the money is exhausted. It is like the German style of block account for Nigerian students. So CIC does not really bother with SOA for Indians provided they have made the deposit to a Canadian bank account and can show proof they have paid for first semester fees. It makes their application very fast. For we Nigerians, CIC has to verify SOA, monitor the transactions and begin to ask who is sponsoring this student and why... |

I have no idea about Humber college bro. |
sunkanmi562:Hello bro, I am not allowed to mention any name but I think I paid about 25k. From the list of Fanshawe Approved Agents (FAA's) given to you by the school, just choose one and they will help you process your admission. I want to believe all the FAA's charge same/ almost same amount for admission purposes only. The school will return your money to your student account once you get your visa and start classes. Best wishes. |
Mfondara:mail received, thanks. |
Austacus:How far bro, longest time. I plan on coming to Ottawa next month to renew my passport. We suppose see. I go send you PM shortly. |
Mfondara:Please send me your name and student number via PM once you get this message. If I get it before 2pm (7pm naija time) I will stop over at the office today. |
Frankrobbn1:Thanks boss, I am doing great. Thanks for asking. |
Mfondara:I am a very small boy just starting life You can contact ckonnerth@fanshawec.ca (She is a wonderful lady). If she does not respond or help out, let me know ASAP (just mention me here) and I will visit the International office on your behalf. I will be in school on Thursday. I am completing my program in SCM in the next 6 weeks by God's grace, so when the time comes, if you need any material, let me know. |
Okay so I will put this out there on the issue of fake bank statements. (1) Try as much as possible to avoid agents. How can you pay an agent to process your application for post graduate studies in a country where the education is so demanding (if not the most demanding in the world). How then will you survive in Canada with school and work? I know there are some approved agents but I say this without fear, if you read through 20 pages on part 15, you will know everything you need about Canada TRV. Please put in the work. (2) Someone in school yesterday told me that there are people who now have the skills in altering figures/transactions in SOA's. They increase the number of transactions carried out in SOA and it will still bear the applicant's name. Infact, this is the major reason why CIC has been doing extra checks on SOA's. Applicant's avoid these temptations. A word is enough for the wise. |
sleekysoft:My chairman, I hail you, you too much. |
Frankrobbn1:Mcobex should double check to be sure, It may be the Antispam BOT. I was also banned for 24hours by the Antispam yesterday evening. |
victorsol:Try Newfoundland and I am sure you will get funding for your program. A Nairalander called sleekysoft is in the school doing a similar program. |
mrbankyy:Good news is on the way. |
Qudkom:Nice one, welcome to Canada. Another con of coming too early is the challenge of getting a house close to school. Most leases end around August, December, April/May. However, for students coming in fall, come about a month to your start date because most schools always have the highest intake this period. The one month before school starts will give you enough time to look for a good place to live in and gives you enough time to apply for jobs in advance. In some cities, getting jobs might take up to 2 months. |
jessyeve:I understand where you are coming from but you need to realise that some people genuinely don't know the consequences of allowing an agent present SOA on their behalf. Also, lets show empathy in all situations. We don't even know if this person is an undergraduate or a young school leaver. God bless. |
Leave7777:You need to remain calm. Worrying, lamenting or panicking solves nothing. I expect by now you should have contacted the agent to know if the statement submitted was fake or not Once that is established, you will know the next step to take. Not all agents use fake bank statements so the first step is ask questions from the agent. (2) Who filled the IMM form? you or the agent? |
jessyeve:You need to drink water and calm down. |
mroyato:(1) There are many factors. For most programs, once Fanshawe gives you an offer letter, you will be asked to make a deposit of 2300cad to validate offer within 30 days. Once you make the initial deposit, they may request you pay the balance before they give you the LOA. The conditions will be spelt out on the offer letter. If the program is very competitive (programs such as Business Analysis, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Project management and IT programs), you will be asked to make all of 1st semester deposit before LOA is issued. The people on queue for these programs are just too much. Also, if you apply early, you may be asked to make just the initial deposit but once too many people start applying or close to program start date, conditions will change. (2) Your number two question, only CIC can answer that. Just apply and have faith. P.s For winter 2020 admission, please apply now. If your program has a co-op, please go for that. I wish you all the best. |
mroyato:Yes I am in Fanshawe. Wassup? |
Whynotme:una no go kill person for this forum ![]() |
pete26:This is my own take on the issue. If you know your sponsor does not need the money for the entire duration of the application, then you can leave it in the account. When I did mine, my mum sent the money to my account. I submitted my SOA and my mum's 4 months business SOA with weekly cash flow of over 7M. I explained how I came about the money and who the person that transferred the money is to me. Immediately I submitted my application, I transferred the money back to my mother the next day. How can I even tell a business woman that I will hold her money for months? Make sure any account you submit has a good cash flow It is very key to have the amount CIC wants in the account you are using but also very key to ensure your SOA or your sponsor's SOA has a good cash flow. Once your sponsor has a good cash flow and you submit evidence of the work he/she does to earn such, you have nothing to worry about. They will not start looking for what is not missing. One of the major reasons CIC demands for 4 months bank statement is to see the cash flow. They can automatically tell if that individual is capable or not. Let me also add, if you ever use money in your account during your application, make sure you still have access to it or it is money you can always get back within 30 days. Someone I know applied for Canada PR, 5 months into the application, CIC asked for an updated SOA. Well, his investment company wrote a letter on his behalf to the embassy stating he invested bla bla amount of money. He got his PR just last month. All the best. |
mcobex:really? |
Oloshi83:your username is so funny ![]() |
waynee2baba:Boss, forget about the 3 weeks processing time. The processing time will take minimum of 5 weeks. Passport request, submission and return will take at least another 1 week. For both online and paper applications in London, UK, you will not submit your passport. Make sure you apply on time. |
. Do you also attend western?
