You will meet a Hausa man dressed haggardly yet is a millionaire. Kano people are the real people who had been there always in terms of local and international people right from the 1800s.
In Kano, you can make it without a dime. Alhaji can give you items without knowing you worth hundreds of thousands to sell till you get money to pay back.
The Hausas mostly are people of the heart, just that some people spoilt Nigeria and the Hausaness with their greed and 'smartness'...

Even the stadium u 're talking about it was just the roofing he did, den painting, my brother lets open our eyes this man nor fit governor, he is suppose to be an adviser to either a governor or president, his style of leadership is more of human capital development, but Edo state needs infrastructure badly more than anything else From the two main candidates available, he's the better one o! |

From my Personal Findings, parts of his achievement: 1. Infrastructural development Roads (+drainage) - Ugbor-Amagba Road, linking to Sapele Road also to link to Obagie. Project is being carried out by Levant Construction. Irhirhi road which leads to Okhoromi to Ogbazabon to Obayatan - completed Ekenhuan Road - Project ongoing Massive drainage project in Ugiokhuen - Ongoing by Hartland Construction 2. Edo State IGR - Central payment system of taxes, government bills, etc formerly carried out by groups of thugs and agberos who repeatedly extorted traders and business owners. 3. Prompt payment of salaries/pensions. 4. True owners of Landed properties have been able to recover their properties which were grabbed by thugs empowered by previous administrations. With the support of this government property owners have been able to recover their properties following due court processes. 5. In collaboration with the Oba, extortion through ridiculous fines and charges placed on new land owners and developers by multiple community groups have been put in check, thereby promoting security and encouraging investments in the State. These are just a few of my personal findings as I am carrying out multiple projects in the State presently. Edo State is relatively slower in infrastructural development when compared to some States. One major reason was the administration between 1999 and 2007 which may be the worst State administration in the history of this Country. An administration in which the present APC gubernatorial candidate was a leading figure. |

Sammy07: Well, my point is, no southern should complain if northerners continue to share, slots, positions among themselves, transferring of southern resources to the north, very soon self they'll headed NDDC. Is there any possibility for a solution before 2023? Cos honestly, by default (owing to the disunity in the South), the presidency would most likely be retained in the North. Beyond 2023, it may still remain the same way if Southerners continue this way. |

That's why I blame Oshiomole for all these.
Obaseki would have maintained his platform in the APC so as to clear the doubts of clowns like this.
In his mind, any of those other aspirants had a chance of clinching the governorship? Really? |

This Country has a terribly long way to go if we still have some citizens (most who live below the poverty line) supporting election riggings, use of security forces to intimidate citizens and rig elections.
Edolites are determined to return Obaseki though, so it's going to be an embarrassment for the thugs, riggers and their supporters. That would also be an event that would strengthen democracy in this Country. |

Combination of Oshiomhole + Buhari + Tinubu in any election is a win win for APC
Oshiomhole has the thugs, Tinubu has the money and influence, Buhari has the power of chief commander of the armed forces, he has the Osun remote control, and he his an unrepentant Coup d'etat plotter , that even plots coup among his family members
. So a stooge should be foisted on the people |

Mraphel: If Jagaban is involved Iyamu has won Against the wish of the People? Edolites know far better. This Ize Iyamu was the same SSG during the terms of Lucky Igbinedion who governed the state for eight years which was the dark period of the State in terms of any form of development. The only things that reigned were massive looting, thuggery, cultism, bullying, land grabbing. The State was left as a large undeveloped village with only these thieves grabbing properties, maiming and terrorizing citizens. These are the sort of people Mr Tinubu is rallying round? Edo people know better. Life has been better for hardworking, honest citizens. Obaseki clipped the wings of most of the thugs who turned billionaires under Oshiomhole and felt they were above the law. There is relative sanity now, even though there is still much to be done in terms of general orientation and development. So naturally, these groups of people and those waiting for windfalls of looting will be the few ones supporting anything to keep someone like Obaseki away from the government house. I'm in Benin City and I hear what most people on ground say regarding leadership and the future of the State. Let September come. |

The writer just gave a true picture of events expected to happen and which have been unfolding. All these were expected by anyone who knows how politics is played in the north (in which a common cause comes before personal political interest) and the South (in which personal political interest comes before any common cause, if any!)
Any discerning mind of Northern origin or in close affiliation with the North must have already predicted all these events since 2015 - Tinubu would be schemed out! |

Politics › Re: Buhari Ungrateful After I Spent N35 Billion To Make Him President - Tinubu by NaMe4: 1:11pm On Jun 26, 2020 |
So? He should sell the Country to you? According to the source, Buhari and other top leaders of the APC had begged Tinubu to allow Ambode complete his tenure. As events later proved, the pleas fell on deaf ears.
The APC leaders were said to have vowed to pay Tinubu in his own coin for not just disobeying the President but also carrying on like the sole owner of the party.
Meanwhile, a cold war is currently brewing between Tinubu and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
According to sources close to both political gladiators, Tinubu may have since 1999 skimmed up to $1.5 billion directly and through proxies. Governor Sanwo-Olu is reportedly not pleased with Tinubu’s “overbearing demands and his attempt to control his government.”
Ambode is reportedly happy that Tinubu’s humiliation would give him some respite.

Is Obaseki validly registered as a PDP member at his ward? YES
Did he pick the Guber nomination form? YES
Is the party's timetable for screening and primaries adjustable? YES...as long as these fall within INEC's time-frame and same is communicated to them.
At whose discretion are waivers granted? The party's or the court's? The party's (PDP's)
VERDICT:
The sh*tty injunction is bound to be set aside as no court can invalidate a legit waiver granted a candidate by his party. I wonder! |

[s] https://www.johnmayaki.com/obaseki-a-governor-without-any-sense-of-shame-by-john-mayaki/
Rather than uphold the letters of his emergency political gazette, the rejected Godwin Obaseki of Edo state was the first to reduce it to a mere toilet paper when he joined a party he loudly denigrated as ‘a deformed political party led by a dunce’ yesterday.
Driven by his desperation, and banking on a corrupt deal with ‘godfathers’ to force other aspirants into submission, Godwin Obaseki, without any sense of shame, and removing all doubts on his politics of no principles, chanted ‘Power to the People’ in a room packed to the brim at the Secretariat of the PDP.
No one is deceived, this is a marriage of convenience made possible by circumstances. It is the union of a party willing to dip its tongue into a bowl of its own vomit and open its doors to a man it accused and dragged before a court for forging academic certificates and declared unworthy for public office – and a man so blinded by desperation and love for public funds, he is willing to sacrifice what is left of his battered integrity.
His shamelessness aside, also evident from the event was the open disregard of social distancing principles and the violation of the gazette signed by the Governor banning the gathering of more than 20 persons in a single location.
From the grounds of the secretariat, down to the office where Obaseki, voice hoarse and shaky, announced his defection, hundreds of people gathered in tight spaces revealing the hypocrisy of the man who has reduced COVID-19 to a political tool wielded when he intends to target and punish his opponents, or is his desirous of more funds from the treasury.
There are better ways the Governor could have staged his defection. He could travel, discreetly, to the secretariat of the party as he has done for days with bags of cash lodged in his trunk. But he chose a rancorous process, he mobilized and staged a mass gathering because, in his order of importance, vain display of support and popularity ranks higher than public health and well-being of the people.
Any better way to illustrate other than the fact that while he remained protected, to a large degree, with a face shield, the crowd he summoned, paid, and instructed to scream his name was left exposed and possibly returning home with strains of the viral disease?
Obaseki doesn’t care, has never cared, and will never do. But that is already a known fact. And he will be defeated. The remnants of his allies know, but they pretend otherwise. He is a cash-cow, led to the slaughter.
For today, in front of cameras, they raise their fist in a fake display of joy. But in their hearts, they know too well that they have veered into unchartered territory, unprepared and exposed. To borrow from the popular parlance, their masquerade, deserted by its guide, has run into the expressway. They still do not know how to face the people and explain their flip-flop; neither do they have a solution to the problem that is Kenneth Imasuagbon and Ogbeide Ihama, two bonafide and cleared aspirants of the PDP who have threatened legal action.
In the end, they will save themselves and abandon Obaseki to his fate. After all, only a foolish fly follows a corpse into the grave. [/s] Rubbish! |
