dokie: Serious problem for the guy. He'll be charged for murder.
For those that do not know, having a drivers license is not just to ensure the cops, VIO, FRSC don't impound your vehicle. If you kill someone while driving and you cannot provide a valid drivers license, you are going to rot in jail. Except naija (connect/money) factor helps you. Manslaughter |

The offender should face the full wrath of the law. (Though the officers allowed their emotions take control of their actions at the latter part of the incident)
This defiant attitude is exhibited by a lot of tricycle, bus and taxi drivers in Benin City. They think acting unruly makes them get away with such offences.
You need to see how they disobey traffic lights, make u-turns at round-abouts, drive against traffic, stop right in the middle of the road to pick passengers.
Even if poverty dey nack you and you claim say you dey hustle, must you put other people's lives at risk? |

light099: Northerners have money. Real money. Forget the ones who beg for alms all about, they have money and they like marrying beautiful women. They have money and they continue loading their pockets with more money. And at the moment they're working hard on oil, mining and industrialization. In the mean while, they keep exploring the oils in the south, and the gold in the southwest, when they finish packing those things and south is left with nothing, they might even be the first to break from the country. While, It's a pity you see sophisticated but senseless youths in the south calling themselves flaathead, connehead all day, while the Northerners keep making tight plans for themselves. Set of pathetic youths. Nothing to add Sir. |

geez18: let me try and elucidate the science behind the explosion.
hopefully you have heard of Boyle's law, Charle's law and the Brownian law of motion. well, without wanting to confuse you, let me explain the behaviour of gases in layman's term. Gas or gases are matter which, under standard temperature and pressure(s.t.p), are loosely bonded together, taking the shape of whatever container they are filled in, thereby exerting constant pressure on the walls of the container(cylinder in this case) therein. surely you know that cooking gas is combustible and therefore highly volatile.
now let's talk about the G.S.M. technology. I'm sure you must have heard that cellular phones emit radiations, especially when they're being used for calls. well, those radioactive particules carry charges; electrical charges that can ignite the volatile and combustible gas. the radioactive emissions from the phone penetrates the cylinder, charges the gas particles which leads to a higher erratic movements of the gas particles in the cylinder and much more pressure on the walls of the cylinder(sometimes more than was intended for the cylinder to withstand).
now, if that cylinder is old and rusty or expired, it may explode under the extreme pressure exerted in it. if it explodes what happens then? a highly combustible gas ignited by radio particles in the presence of oxygen, that's a recipe for disaster.
I hope you get the drift now. I will have to disagree with this theory. If the radiation from the phone is capable of penetrating the (metal) cylinder, it must have already penetrated all the body tissues of the person handling the phone, including the heart where electrical activities take place (consider those with pacemakers also) and would definitely interfere with brain electrical activity. Also, people would not be able to make calls around vehicles, cos radiation would penetrate the gas tanks. The most probable cause would have been a leaking cylinder or erroneously opened cylinder with high concentration of gas within the room/kitchen. Ignition could be from a naked flame or yet-to-be-proven phone radiation. |

Afrib: Someone should probably take a friendly message to Chief Bola Tinubu, advising him to stop interfering in Edo Politics, as it will indubitably send him, like his friend and partner in the 'revered' and 'hallowed' act of godfatherism, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, through the hollow path of political irrelevance, into an outright political oblivion.
He probably should do well in making inquiries from his ancestors, who on invitation, once historically came to this land, and having found it extremely difficult to rule, tagged the land 'Ile Ibinu', meaning 'a land of vexation', and then left the people in peace.
There is no time as vexatious as this, when the collective will of the people is at a precipice, standing stealthily upon the edge of a knife, as a result of the overbearingness of those who would stop at nothing to prevent things from being as the people wish them.
The people of Edo State will resist both internal and external invasion as they will never sacrifice a working and responsible government for one fuelled by thuggery and illegalities. The people are unwilling and unable to accept a retrogressive movement to the dark days of thuggery, impunity, violence, profligacy, recidivism and political rascality. EDO is not Lagos

babasolution: Do the Fulani have two heads? The Hausa's are simply paying for their cowardice if this writeup is anything to go by All the poster wrote is very true. That's the description of Nigeria today. All other tribes/ethnic groups in the north, including Hausas have been subdued by these Fulanis Any sign of resistance results in the massacres you see from time to time in certain communities in the North (for those you hear of in the news) The Southern part of Nigeria, as one, would be a force to reckon with, a unifying entity and hope for hundreds of minority tribes in the North. But seeds of discord have been planted with manipulations (politically) for over generations while they penetrate and plant themselves in key positions and positions of authority within the South. If you go through history, you would notice certain parts of the South (eg South East) may appear favored by or in agreement with the Fulanis over other parts. Over time, the scheme changes pattern to favor the other major part eg the South West as we see today, with the Easterners regarded as the 5%ers. In the next few years, there would be a change of pattern. There are already attempts to take over traditional institutions in the South. Do you think the recurrent attacks you hear of in remote communities are really because of cows? Why are the village/community heads and their families wiped out in such attacks? |

A lot is happening in this country. I am opportune to know a lot of secret happing, if nothing is done, this country is bound to go broke in no distant time.
