Klass99:You're right, this is why I prefer solitude most times so that I can enjoy peace. The current state of things in the country has made most generous people become cash conscious. In 2020 after the lockdown, give away was literally trending. Celebrities, Churches, government, wealthy Nigerians...etc were all in the give away business. Today it's every man for himself cos everyone is feeling the heat. No thanks to Buhari. So like you rightfully pointed out one has to be prudent in sorting out his priorities and spendings. Klass99:Got him a pair of shoes. |
NwekereNdoki:You should have sold the ticket to another customer there at the park. I've done that before. Was in onitsha en route Abakaliki at onitsha south mass transit park. I've already purchased my ticket N1,500. When I saw a family friend, he told me he want to pump his tire cos he's going to Abakaliki and I can follow him since that's where I'm going. I didn't even stress myself going to the counter to meet the sales girl cos I knew they won't refund me back my money. I just stood outside the park and sold it to the next customer who paid after confirming that the ticket was valid. Next time just sell it, parks are usually crowded in the mornings so finding a buyer wouldn't be difficult. |
Richy4:Lol...@ your last paragraph. ![]() But your other suggestions are great. Especially the bicycle suggestion. |
GloriousGbola:Are those things still on sale in kiddies store in Nigeria? Cos I do see all kinds of bicycles, toy cars, tablets, dolls...etc. I've never seen any brick toy. Anyways thanks |
henrimoto:Yea...I know that kids love any uncle that gives them edibles. Edibles would certainly be among was just looking for something like a toy or just anything... thanks |
Double post |
bibianna:A 4 year old child would destroy any kind of book you get him within a week. At that age, they're too young to know the value of things. Biscuits is a good suggestion. |
Klass99:This sounds great... Why did you edit your post, was busy at work that's why I couldn't reply then. But what you pointed out was the raw truth. Most family members once they know you're single would want to push some certain responsibilities of their kids to you. They'll be like well after all he isn't married so he can help out. But for me, I don't usually have any problem with that provided I'm very close to the family member and the child in question is fond of me. |
Applegirl22:Do they have iPad for 4 year olds? I used to think that it was meant for kids from like 10 and above. |
Hello mummies and daddies in the house, my cousin sis called me yesterday to inform/remind me of her son's birthday (he would be 4 years next weekend) she was like, "don't come empty handed, buy him something o" and I told her no problem. But there is problem o! Cos since yesterday I've been pondering on what to get him, and up till now, I haven't been able to come up with anything. That's why I decided to share it here so that parents can help me out... we're very close, she's literally like a sister to me and the kid is also fond of me whenever I visit them, that's why I'm taking her request seriously. Thanks. |
Honestly if Abia State is to progress they should banish the Orji Uzo Kalu dynasty. Orji Kalu ruled Abia for 8 years during which he ruined the state installed a puppet and went to the Senate. Theodore Orji, who is Kalu's puppet, ruled for another 8 years, he further ruined the state, he's son was known for drinking in bars without paying, he owed salaries for months. He too after 8 years installed another puppet and went to the Senate. Ikepazu who is the youngest puppet, is about to complete he's 8 years and go to the Senate. If Abia State must develop they have to destroy Orji Kalu's line, cos as long as PDP keeps winning, nothing would change in Abia. Whether LP, APGA, Accord and even APC, as long as PDP looses, I strongly believe that Abia State would be great again. |
I feel you just want to trend. Beverages are sand like in nature. Meaning you'd have to scoop the quantity you want into your cup with a spoon, so there's no way you'll scoop Milo, milk or bournvita without scooping an iron a large as that. If your story is true (cos I doubt it is) the problem lies from your end. It could be that the iron was already in the kettle and when you were pouring out the boiled water into yout cup, it fell into your cup with the water. |
Nyascobar1414:Having money and being in love doesn't mean you should spend blindly. If you're not a politician or earning in dollars, 6m isn't an ideal amount to throw on a wedding. |
There is no law that tells you exactly how much you must spend on your wedding before it becomes a wedding. Whether the economy is good or not, 6m is too much for a wedding. I mean it's just a day's event, why spend unnecessary on it. You can make it strictly by invitation. And project about 50 guests, get a food outlet to prepare take away for 50 people and believe me, you'll spend less than 3m not to even talk of 6m. For me I'm not a fan of large crowds, 30-50 people is my ideal budget. |
This is one of the reasons I dislike religious women with passion. A religious woman whose husband is based outside their state of residence or in abroad can give the money her husband gives her to run the home to the church, and starve her children. A religious woman can donate her 12 months salary to the church in the name of faith seed. Not minding if her actions would overwhelm the financial efforts her husband is making to ensure that the home keeps on running. Most fake pastors know this that's why their preys are usually women cos they're more vulnerable than men. They'll milk them dry and still sleep with them. |
Mayorofodemu:Goods are totally different from phones. I could order a shoe or clothes from you, confirm that it's my size, and once the driver confirms that he has received it from you, I'll immediately make payment. Phone (most especially second hand) is totally different. You have to be there physically to test every part of it so as to make sure that it's working properly. It's not something you pay money and expect the seller to waybill it to you. The driver can confirm that he's with the phone, but main question you should worry about is if the phone is working properly. |
JackDaAlienz:Is it that they don't sell second hand iPhones in PH where you live that you had to damn the consequences and contact a total stranger far away in lagos to sell it to you. Stories like this make me wonder if people like you do read the news at all and are aware of the high crime rate and happenings in Nigeria. Cos if you do, nothing on this Earth would make you trust a total stranger with your hard earned money. |
You already have 2kids from your first wife and you're planning to marry another one. If this new wife gives birth to 3-4 kids and your first wife add 1-2 more to the already 2 she has, you'll have an average of about 6-8 kids to cater for in this harsh economy. Do you know the cost of training just one child from primary school to university level, Or do you want your kids to be walking about nàked looking malnourished like refugees because their father couldn't control himself? Stop being selfish and think about the future of your children before making this irrational decision. |
This are the ones that were caught, do you know how many more must have slipped through security checks and are scattered across the south waiting to unleash mayhem on their host communities? I believe it's high time this country breaks up, let everyone focus on his region and develop it. Nigeria only favours a particular region. |
I'll take the 50m and endorse him. Then on election day I'll get my PVC and vote for Peter Obi. Talk about killing two birds with one stone. |
Badboibipo:Male attention is more of greed light. It's not like the girl would approach you and begin to woo or nag you to date her, she might just be acting friendly around you, initiate gists, request a lift from you if you stay in the same neighborhood or work place...etc, but you're still the one who's going to do the wooing. What this means is that allowing such attention get into your head as a guy would be foolishness cos it's going to cost you. The more you follow up on green lights you receive from girls the more you spend, cos you're the man in the relationship. |
At a time when Universities have been under lock and key for over 150 days because the government said they're broke and cannot afford what ASUU is asking for. This same government is spending over a billion Naira to purchase vehicles for a country that didn't ask for it. And yet Nigerian youths who's future this government have totally destroyed to the extent that they can't even afford 2 meals a day are running around the internet like a female dog on heat to campaign for APC. The same tinubu who imposed this failure on us is the same person they're ready to give their support to. Who did this to the black man? |
She's an illiterate. A mechanic is actually a car dealer. In case you're not aware, customers from time to time, bring their cars to mechanics to repair and sell off for them... Secondly, in case she's not aware, most mechanics have become so successful that they dedicate a section of their workshop for a show room where they advertise cars for prospective buyers. If someone who repairs and sells cars isn't regarded as a car dealer to her, I wonder who is. |
Yet Tinubu's urchins were masturbating over Peter Obi's interview when he said about 100 Nigerians are currently in the NBA. Here's an Atiku who couldn't even get his facts right and everyone including Reno and APC urchins reminded silent. Honestly we deserve the kind of leaders we have. |
This is why I'm fully in support of ministries that set retirement ages for pastors under the ministry and stick to it. Once you're above 69 you should be retired and go home to rest, you can become a mentor to younger pastors. But standing on the pulpit for hours to preach, organizing programs, traveling up and down shouldn't be something you should be doing at that age. I know that the Christian community would attribute his death to spiritual attack, or that his time was up and God called him home. I would strongly disagree with them if they do so. Baba died of stress and nothing more. He was suppose to be retired and resting in his house but choose to remain on the pulpit. You can't cheat nature. |
He's eldest sons from his first wife would easily inherit this one once he dies. They would share her along with Baba's properties amongst themselves. |
Collinsjonson:@bolded. Who does then? |
Truvelisback:Generals are not young men. In Nigeria before being considered for promotion to a general from the rank of a Colonel, you must have spent at least 25 years and above in service. This is what makes them possess highly specialized skills in command, strategy, logistics, and many other things an army needs to achieve success on the battle field. Now to your question...yes they go to war, but they don't fight with the infantrymen on the field. The last thing you want is an old man kicking with enlisted men when they should be coordinating the overall battle. Not only does it risk the general needlessly, it also makes the enlisted troops less effective since they’re now worried less about the mission and more about protecting the general. This is why all generals stay at their base to monitor the situation and come to the front from time to time to motivate the troops. As for the particular rank that go, it would be brigadier Generals and Major Generals. Lieutenant Generals do not go to war. But If the war lingers for years, and heavy casualties are being recorded, every high ranking General would be called upon to take a command including retired army Generals with vast military intelligence experience...they would be recalled back into the force to help defeat the enemy. |
mrbionic:Please which Federal university in Nigeria pays a PhD holder 150k? I used to believe they earn up to 200k (or more) cos they engage in other work loads like teaching diploma and part-time students, and since this programs aren't recognized by the government, the university (not the government) pays them for it. This means that at the end of the month, if you're to add up all payments they receive, it would certainly exceed 150k. |
Truvelisback:Lol...I'm not in the military, two of my mom's brother (uncles) were there tho, so I have a vast knowledge about them, cos I've literally lived with them in the barracks. |
So what El-Rufai is telling Nigerians is that Buhari a retired army general is completely ignorant of a threat against his own life that has been circulating the media for over a week. Honestly we've never had it this bad. And to think that the northerners murdered Southern youth corpers in 2011 when this same Buhari lost the presidential election to Jonathan, and threatened worse if he lost in 2015 is terrible, one would have thought that he (Buhari) had something reasonable to offer. This is why I'm strongly against Atiku, history has proven to us that the more you contest for presidency, the dumber you become. |
My only annoyance is that people are still campaigning for APC as if they're not living in this same Nigeria with us. Hear this, if tinubu wins next year's election, hunger would be so bad that married women would be willing to sleep over at your place for a morsel of bread. During the Liberia war of the early 90s an uncle of mine use to tell me how girls use to come to their camp to have sex with them for a plate of food. If we don't choose wisely next year, Nigeria would degenerate to that level. |
