I can tell you that it's a matter of time before this one closes too and relocate to more serious countries. Unless the purchasing power of Nigerians improve via appreciation of the naira. If not, as you talk, na so e go happen. |

It is basically the state of economy ie naira loosing value. Eg on Sunday evening, I received a call to do a job for Monday morning. Very sudden. My driver was unavailable. 4.30am I set off to vi. Picked a boy to follow me. See how the money finished ohh. Got a call my pikin weh one resume school went to get some cloths, bill 120k, after complaining, I transfered. Bought diesel, 30k, sent 20k to fuel the car at home, I the boy and I ate 5k at Ghana high, gave the boy that escorted me 7k. I was paid 180k for the job, came back with a deficit of 2k. No be juju be that? Well, if I had not done the job, I would have had to cough out the 120k for cloths out of my pocket, so I give thanks. |

themanderon: They grant them the loans while the government officials steals it and returns the same money to them for safekeeping and then go back to borrow the same money again and the cycle continues. It's a vicious cycle perpetuated by the criminal elites and their foreign puppet masters. Don't you know Nigeria is Britain and the West's puppet? Or did you not see the way Britain quickly approved the sham inec conducted as free and fair while the rest of the world had misgivings? That's why we keep making billions in oil sales, yet they go cap in hands to borrow trillions. It's a racket played against the people because they will be made to repay from increases in taxes, electricity tariffs, increases in fuel prices, etc. Nigerians will perpetually remain poor because of these devils we have as leaders. That is why China is better. They give you loans for fixed projects. Their engineers come down to build the infrastructure along with local hands. At the end of the day, you see what the loan was used for. On the other hand, the western countries as you rightly discribed, will give the loans in cash, then encourage politicians to steal and return the money to their western banks. At the end of the day, you jeep paying back loans without any thing on ground. |

SocialJustice: People who bought dollar above N1k to hoard are about to lose massively. Let's hope so. The important thing is let naira appreciate massively. How can I buy pounds at 1450? For over 16 years it was below 240. Infact 1m got you 4k pounds, now 1m cannot get you 900 pounds, no be juju be that? This that bought as you said to "hoard" only did the rational thing to protect the value of their money. Nothing bad in that. |

delugajackson: Nigeria is finished. The future of our youths have been mortgaged. I thought this senseless borrowing ended with Buhari. Now Tinubu has taken us to another level with his borrowing spree. Shame on all who support this mad government. Who expected any less from this fellow. A man with wealth without enterprise. No factories, office, industry. Someone that only knows how to raise money through taxing or rather extortion, in a Mafian style. Mc oluomo way but on a higher level. When there is no longer anyone to tax, as the people are already impoverished, the next thing is to pile loans, instead of think outside the box. Anyway, Nigerians deserve what we get, one day we will have sense. |

He did in Lagos and plunged the richest state in Nigeria into a debt it cannot even repay.
He will still do it in Nigeria; he has only just begun. Same Lagos Ambode managed for 4 years, did not add any debt but built major infrastructures all over. |

thelegend1: I empathize with you and also the private companies. The cost of doing business in Nigeria is quite high with meagre returns.
I would actually blame our government and Judiciary that continue to allow bad governance to thrive. The crazy one nobody is currently talking about is the price of diesel. Diesel thar powers generators, that runs hotels, factories, businesses etc transportation ie trailers, trucks etc that move food around the country. Guess what, it is now ₦1300 per liter! No business can survive at that price. |
