How will Atiku pay all the loans he took from his Dubai and Turkish associates for election? He can’t go to Dubai anymore, he has to pay the debts, chai. I can feel his pain.
So in all this that affects our lives and future as Nigerians, it is Atikus personal affairs that worries you?

Politics › Re: US Court: Tinubu Has 7 Days To Tell Us Why We Shouldn't Release His Real Result by nedekid: 1:22am On Aug 17, 2023
omohayek:
What a lot of steaming hot rubbish! To begin with, Tinubu doesn't need to file any special motions for US privacy laws to cover his records. No reputable US university would ever do such a thing even for the most ordinary private citizen, let alone someone of his extremely high profile - they'd be asking to be sued into oblivion.

The next thing to keep in mind is that Nigeria and the USA are independent sovereign nations, and their courts have no judicial rights over each other, nor can citizens of one country file a lawsuit in the other country over matters which have nothing to do with the country's native laws. There is no law in America against anyone of any educational status running for office, and neither Tinubu nor Atiku are American citizens, so on what grounds would an American court take this case?

Finally there's the small matter of Tinubu's political office to consider: as the current President of Nigeria, he is automatically covered by diplomatic immunity laws, the same laws that prevent the arrest of foreign diplomats even when they've committed crimes like speeding, fraud or even manslaughter (see the UK's failed attempts to extradite Anna Sacoolas).

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-49984737

The long and short of it: this "story" is utterly made up nonsense designed to get clicks and viral attention from the hordes of ignorant and highly gullible Tinubu-haters online, the same credulous rabble who bought the "Jubril from Sudan" and "Yekini Amoda Ogunlere" claptrap that was doing the rounds before the elections. The shameless hacks behind "People's Gazette" clearly understand the audience of bottom-feeding mouth-breathers who constitute their audience!
All this story ontop to release result? We are not talking of DNA test, bank statement, genotype, medical records oh, but school records.
It does not strike you as strange why our whole president will decide to spend money paying lawyers to stop the release of his academic records?
May man, please fear God. I believe we want the best for this country.
A foundation built on sand cannot stand neither one on lies.

More like $5 monthly minimum wage.

You guys should continue pushing Tinubu until he embarrasses Nigeria beyond redemption. What you're calling ECOWAS is essentially Nigeria. When ECOMOG, which is the military wing of ECOWAS intervened in Liberia, how many other West African countries joined Nigeria?

Again, you continue to isolate Niger but forgetting they have full active support of Mali and Burkina Faso! They also enjoy passive support from Chad, Algeria and Guinea.

What do you think will happen if two aircrafts are shot down within days of the war and hundreds begin to desert the NA?

Make una dey play!
Most making mouth don't even know about ecomog and the wahala Nigerian troops went through. Wahala thas had long lasting effects on Nigeria. From thousands of Nigerian kids that became orphans, as a result not getting fatherly upbringing, funding for eg education and there by going into crime. Thousands of Nigerian soldiers that lost limbs, Nigeria having to spend so much flying them to Egypt for treatment. The damage to society then by the rise in hiv, brought back to naija by our soldiers. What about the violence returning blood tasted soldiers unleashed on nigerians.
Most making noice here were probably kids or not born in the early 90s.

If you can prove they did, then your brother ought to report them at the station for assault.

Oga, did the bank workers seize you brother, assault and detain him? I don't think so, the police did.
Can your say the police acted on behalf of the bank and so the bank should take responsibility? Don't think so also as the police officers are not employed by the bank.
The bank will simply say they reported a case as proper law abiding organisation to the police.
Can you sue based on them defaming your company by telling your customers not to patronize your thrift company? How do you prove that happened?
Anyway, that is my layman opinion, lawyers in the house will explain better.

Politics › Re: Peter Obi And Atiku Should Just Allow Tinubu To Continue Because by nedekid: 5:02am On Aug 16, 2023
vanitybutiwanti:
Even your peter obi would have failed, what would he have done differently in 100 days? A man that couldn't turn Anambra to a mini Dubai when he was governor, and at that time Nigeria was awash with cash. You think it's about mouthing from consumption to production to deceive gullible individuals like yourselves. Nigeria is irredeemable, nobody knows the solution to our problems, in your messiahs mind, he'll be thanking God that he wasn't declared president.

Talk is very cheap
Oga, people that ask why he did not turn anambra to Dubai are people I believe have never ran a business before, people that have not taken over an organisation and turned it around. They are Nigerians that recon development with immediate construction of few roads and bridges. That is the bane of Nigeria and why we are always in debt and problems.
Obi took a debt ridden state, cut expenses ie government excesses, settled outstanding debt while spending on key essentials, health, education, basic key infrastructure while setting aside savings. Basically moving the finances from red to green. As at the time he left, the balance sheet was in green. The only state in Nigeria that was debt free and with saving of over 75 billion in 10 years ago money value. An impossible fit. Then his term expired, if it had continued, you would have seen a state then able to fund major development in a sustainable way without taking loans ie 75b cushion. A sustainable way in that out of 75b, you spend eg 40b on projects, then build the saving back to 75b again before blowing another 40b.
But Ofcourse what happened after his 8 years, a normal Nigerian spendthrift came in, saw the money and blew it in an unsustainable way, built airport, roads etc to turn it to "Dubai" as you say. Where is anambra today? Taking in debt as other states.
Obj left Nigeria debt free by paying off our debts, what happened after he left?
As a businessman, do to take over a failing business, then take loans and use megre income to build a new office complex, buy company cars etc or you first cut costs, spend on key improvements, increase your stock, reinvest your profits in more stock, then when the business stabilizes and has a healthy bank balance in green, turning a profit before you then build the new office complex and buy the cars.
That was what Obi did in Anambra.
Read of Carlos ghosn and how he turned around Nissan.
Obi is not a tax man, that gets a tax ripe state with great potentials, increases revenue, gets easy money, takes a cut and then spends on visible infrastructure while still pilling debt. Then claims he built the place.
Running Nigeria in its current difficult state needs a skilled financially shrewd person. It is not exclusive to Obi, you have other Nigerians too eg Akinwumi Ambode, that uncured no debt as governor yet did alot, elemele that built a bank, took over Uba also and turned it around, Adesina with ADB etc.
