Okealaaye: Festus Adedayo the Turncoat. Read what his grouse about the Buhari administration is all about:
Festus, search your mind. Would you have written this screed if APC had not rightly TERMINATED your appointment as Senior Special Assistant to the Senate President in 2019? You shamelessly accepted that appointment before you were exposed for who you are - an unprincipled human being who wouldn't mind to run with the hares and hunt with the hounds. Before that time, you were writing against the Buhari administration as if you wouldn't accept any offer from them. A PRINCIPLED man wouldn't have done that, and you know deep down inside you that only people who do not truly know you would read your weekly trash in The Tribune. I'm sure that if Tinubu calls you for service tomorrow, you will swallow your vomit and rationalise your reason for accepting the offer! A big shame on you, spineless and unprincipled weakling. And that's just who you are. A standard Printing Press, a modern building in a prime area at Ososami, Ibadan, your fleet of cars and your other ACQUISITIONS that you acquired during your SHORT SPELL as Special Assistant in Anambra and the Oyo States; did you obtain those properties through your statutory Salaries alone? Tell Nigerians how you got them that we may learn new things about thrift and spending. But remember that before those assignments you're wearing a pair of socks for three weeks without washing them. "He who must come to equity must come with CLEAN hands"! Hardly is there a public servant in Nigeria who didn't dip his index finger, as it were, in the fish broth. So for Pot to pretentiously accuse Kettle of being black is the height of immorality!
And this too:
Festus Adedayo, Tinubu and the character question, By Segun Ayobolu ByPremium Times January 23, 2022
Has Festus Adedayo exhibited similar character and principled conduct over the years? Was he displaying character and moral integrity when he served as media aide for eight years in an administration accused of some of the worst forms of corruption and violence against opponents in this dispensation? Was he displaying consistency of character when he worked for over three years as Chairman, Editorial Board, in a newspaper founded by this same Tinubu he holds in such revulsion?
Regardless of his proclivities for misdirected mischief you must give it to him. Festus Adedayo, political scientist, lawyer, journalist and Tribune columnist has impressive academic and professional credentials. He is also a good prose stylist. For years, I have considered Festus to be not just a friend and professional colleague but also a brother. As the Chief Press Secretary to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu when he was governor of Lagos State between 1999 and 2005, Festus who was then the Features Editor of the Nigerian Tribune was one of the most frequent visitors to my office at the Lagos State government Secretariat, Alausa. On a number of the several occasions that Festus visited my office from his base in Ibadan, I would ensure he met either the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Dele Alake, or the governor directly. It was our practice to bring leading journalists and columnists face to face with the governor so that they could debate him on issues and he could also have access to views from outside those of us serving in government. Abeg address the issues raised, not the messanger. |

Politics › Re: Your Failure Responsible For Nationwide Hardship - Governors Hit Back At FG by nedekid: 11:55pm On Dec 03, 2022 |
grandstar: The governors have their fair share of the blame but the FG is falling far short of its mandate.
Economic growth under Buhari since 2015 has averaged 1.1% a year, much lower than the 6% that norm between 1999-2013. A lot of the economic slowdown was brought about by Buhari's meddling in the fixing of the exchange rate which has led to catastrophic results.
All states will be adversely affected by the state of the national economy. It can not be divorced from it.
Also note that many governors have no clue what is best for their people even when they have the right motive.
States like Lagos and Kaduna have done well because they have been run by technocrats. There is usually a difference when a technocrat runs things.
And I will reiterate- the federal government has no right to blame the state governments considering its very lamentable results. The economic suffering is too much and people are fleeing the country. At a time of high oil prices when the masses should be enjoying, the Naira is collapsing and the government revenue is insufficient to even service debt. This government has no option to borrow as it has repeatedly refused to make hard choices.
When Okonjo Iweala condemned the governors for being wasteful during OBJ tenure, it carried some weight. They had reduced the foreign debt from $35bn to $5bn using a debt buyback. Created the Excess Crude Account and had $20bn in it. The foreign reserves were $60bn. Quite educative write up from you. But if our oil production of 1.8m barrels was being met instead of exports dropping to 8-900k barrels, I dont think we would have been in this terrible state. The Niger delta was producing more before it was militarized. Imagine the income in hard currency lost from eg 1m barrels daily. In my humble opinion, that is the major reason we are in this poo. The loss of income during this period of high oil prices. This I think is the major cause of the tanking of the value of the naira. Ie reduced forex income and further poverty. Who is responsible for this? As far as I know, you cannot paddle a canoe towards our waters in the Niger delta without the navy intercepting you, much more super tankers carrying 3m barrels of oil. Therefore, I think the problem is from the highest level of government. |

Man that sends his wife to nysc, or abroad for schooling or relocation should just blank his mind, because what will happen will happen, better not to wound yourself with high BP. Gym business I own, if you see what happens there with women, you will be shocked. One that had the hubby in the US, actually took one of my staff, got an appartmemt for him, changed his cloths, paying him pocket money. Made him leave work. His work was just to service her. Even her kids knew him and were calling him "uncle". Guys never allow you wife attend a gym alone, register with her, go with her or better still get her equipments at home if you can afford it. |
Family › Re: Cheating Wife by nedekid: 10:50pm On Dec 03, 2022 |
grandstar: She probably married you because you sent her to school and not for love. Even if the love was initially there, higher institutions are very immoral where youths want to taste life.
I would suggest you first confront her about her cheating. Tell her you suspect she is cheating, that you just have that inkling. Inform her that the day you catch her, that will be the end of the marriage.
The motive here is to get her to stop or better still, create the atmosphere to send her packing. It's like you are cleverly giving her a second chance. Perhaps, invite her family. Do not say you have any evidence. That it is just a hunch.
Why I say you should go this route is because you would have kicked her out already if you wanted to without seeking our advise. You are not so keen on kicking her out though the revelations has truly troubled you.
If she knows you have evidence, she will either beg for forgiveness or change her tactics. What you really, really want is for her to change her ways and be faithful.
You too need to be faithful (Read Hebrews 13:4).. it is double standard and hypocritical for you too to be engaging in adulterous acts and expecting her to put up with it. Perhaps, let her know you too will be faithful.
If she does not change, then do what you have to do. Well said. I think when family is involved the possibility of reconciliation gets harder, ie calling family meeting. especially because of the stigma both on the man and wife. Rather maybe just one sibling of the wife that she respects, a male. It could be also just the father of the lady. If she is from a relatively sensible home. That should make her sit up. Unless it is a bad case scenario where it is a cheerful giver he married. |

Ignore all the people calling you simp and yabbing you here because most are either not married, or even so the married ones might have not had the experience you are going through yet. Why do I say this, if you know how many married women are into one poo or the other you will be shocked! The saving grace is that hubbies don't know ie they have not been caught. I think only you from your personal circumstances know what to do. The decision is yours. Is it something you can make her stop? Is she likely to stop? Can you cope?. If you cannot then you know what to do. JAPA! |
