Is there any scriptural refeence to this. God had already said that the glory has departed from the temple . The ark is insignificant now if I may say. The second temple that was build did not have ark during Jesus time. So the ark is not sinonymous with temple worship.

It is only foolish people that will make such baseless and unprincipled statements like the obnorcious rendering of the lines of the thread. Every wise person who is not bias by reason of sentiments will effortlessly agree that these things do happen but are not an exclusive preserve for Christis Embassy, they happen almost in every sphere of our everyday lives especially when we put in perspective the fact that the beings in churches are no different from the human beings that make up the larger society and that the church is an avenue for change one thats a "PROCESS". The percentage of occurrance of these things are credited to a minority few of whom the bible calls " FALSE BRETHREN"

Now there is no suggestion that the expression "False Brethren" refered to the jews, because he had already used another expression for them ", mine own countrymen", so who were these false brethren- these were members of the fold who have not summited their faculties to the all-encompassing influence of the dictate of the word of God choosing rather to live by the suggestion of their untamed senses and greed, these were canal believers. Thank you for this thread, because the idea of prayer for many people is one of a troubled child running to a Father. But it should be; we don't prayer only when we are in a mess no, because prayer is a relationship, it is a communion that goes beyond problem solving.
When we pray the focus is not so much about what us receiving an answer because we are not attempting for put God on the balance and watch His response (thats doubt) but rather it is more of aligning and synchronizing our spirit with His Spirit and agenda (timing and purpose).

But this is more personal poster, what do you do when you have been praying to God on an issue and it seem as though there's bearly any visible change taking place. At such an instance what would you recommend that one do.

The problem with many christians like some of those on nairaland is that they lack foresight. Why shuold the church be represented as poor, dependent, small, little etc. When a man in the world owns a jet nobody says anything rather they celebrate him, when the world builds stadia and mega structures and unreasonably condition churches before granting permission for usage- is that what we want. These people celebrate a beggerly church whose success is dependent on the approval of the world. Well, here is man who says no, l'll be different, God deserves the best and must get it.
Twitter, facebook, myspace etc all these and more are owned by individuals, what is wrong if someone or a group of people from the church develope theirs?

Mediocrity is the problem but sorry this man says am not in that club and the best part is there is no shortage of support regardless of what anybody thinks 

This question has been answered, there is no record in scripture to that regard that they did of which l have explained from scripture why the principle of tithong still lives on. The problem we have here (and this has always been the problem with many religious folks)- they cloud their understanding of scripture with sentiments. In the first place l should be one fighting and contesting it becoz the money l give as tithe is mine so l shpuld know and understand what and why l am giving my money for so that necessitated my personal research and study of the subject.

Nobody is contesting the superiority of the office with Christ Jesus, you its amazing how some you reason God to be, it only shows that you have not really come to discover the true character of the person of God. For instance when Jesus said to the jews that He was one with the Father and that He came from above and they wanted to stone on the grounds that He being a man make Himself equal with God. But question was that what God thought? Well perhaps you can answer the question correctly now but they were to pldge their lives in defence of their ignorance but how wrong they were, this could be one those scenerios.

The principle of graduslism rides on the wheels of "Logic" and "Reason". Recently l just a cause to reason this out: how easy will is be for the anti-christ to rule and reign. My thoughts were necessitated by the recent announcement by the CBN in Nigeria, calling on customers and account holders to update their accounts and just by the means of that announcement they got almost everybody; men, women, young, old, boys and girls all lined-up waiting to update their accounts. With the ever growing dynamic influence of the internet and technology in security like the sofistication of CTU cameras and the call for one registration or other even sim, the spiritually minded man knows one thing that even though these are good and designed for the so called benefit of the people, these are structures that are being put in place to aid the systemic rule of the anti-christ.
So christians there remaineth yet more work to be done if we must win the world for christ.

So true christians (who give for the Gospel and not use it as a prop to make money or to try to blackmail God into blessing them) see such MEN FOR GOD and support them. Interestingly, most of such people are very humble and will usually be content with very little and we have to force them to accept help at times- they remind you of Paul saying effectively "I work for my living rather than sponge off others".

But YOUR own definition of men of God is "smooth talkers" who see the Gospel as a means to make money. Your shepherds take from their sheep. Your MOG's live fat off the leanness of their followers. They say they are spreading the gospel and take it back to the US and the UK from whence it came. They are a "type" of King Saul - their burdens are very high on the people, they take a tenth of their income and they use the best as slaves to their own ambition.
