[i] As much as you are correct to suggest that he ask God to help him live for Him, that isn't actually the best because that places the responsibility on God so if something goes wrong we can now easily be tempted to say well l asked God to help me and l was sincere when l did but maybe he didn't hear me because if He did l would have perhaps had the courage to resist such and such, and stand for Him.
But rather based on scriptures it should be that you make a sincere discission to live for Him just like you did when you gave your life to Christ then God by His Spirit will back you up but it is important that you make that discission, automatically God's help is always avaliable whether you ask or not.

Well the church I used to attend was so holy to the point sometimes I felt my long skirt is not long enough. It's as if I couldn't keep up with the holiness being preached, the bar is so high I thought I don't think I can achieve this - or maybe because I'm young an' all but my peers are youth leaders .

In my bid to try and keep up I've discovered I'm actually competing and I feel that type of christianity is so fake and limited because if I won this pseudo-competition then what other yard stick am I measuring myself against. To be honest I don't believe I can match Jesus - well he is the Son of God - so I didn't really want to emulate him in the first place, I even find fasting and praying difficult. I keep on faking my enjoyment when I'm in the assembly of others but deep down I can't go on like this. Today I never went to church again sadly, but I will definately make the effort next week

Holiness is not by longskirts! So many major on outward display of piety but neglect the major part of the inner renewal which should come first. I feel you need to get filled the spirit . When you know the holy spirit personally and you get full of the spirit, you will not live your christian life to please anybody but God.

Forgiveness and Repentance are not one and the same thing though they both have been wrongly interchange in everyday usage throughout the history of the church.

l have searched through the scripture especially the gospels and l have some stalling and insightful discoveries based on truth.
Almost in every occassion where the use of repentance was employed, it never suggested it to those who were already the believing ones

Time will fail me to give a chronological analysis which isn't what you require at this point thus its inconsequential but permit me to highlight some references
Heb 6:1
"Therefore leaving the principle of the doctrine of Christ, let us go onto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith towards God"

So you see repentance always leads to Salvation by the acknowledging of the truth of the gospel. But what happens after you have acknowledged the truth of God's saving grace and hetherto accepted the salvation that Christ offers? Like in the scripture of Hebrews 6:1 where we read of "REPENTANCE FROM DEAD WORKS", you cannot find any where in scriptures where the bible talks about "FORGIVENESS FROM DEAD WORKS" because what a man needs in his unregenerated state is a tial overhawling of the entire make up of his spiritual and inward essence, SIn is a nature so also righteousness is, like its the nature of a goat to feed on grass not flesh or like populaly put "excreta" so when find a goat attempting to feed on flesh which some have tried perhaps due to severe hunger, you just know something isn't right with this goat because the make up of the goat isn't structured by design to digest such ingestion.

Ephesians 1:7
"In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace"
The apostle paul attribute "the forgiveness of sins to the saints i.e the believers" thus he uses the pronoun "US"
Forgiveness is a family previllege as a remedy for mistakes but maturity demands that mistakes are minimized and reduced to its lowest ratings and if we think this is impossible; thats why we have the Holy Ghost to help us live the life that God has called us to live in christ Jesus.

Finally, what you need is to ask for forgiveness and believe that if you sincerely made that request, that you have a father who is morethan willing to forgive you and infact has forgiven you already in christ Jesus. (thats if you are already bornagain). Then as a christian you need to grow from babyhood to maturity by investing in your relationship with God in Christ Jesus by THE HELP OF HIS HOLY SPIRIT. Evangelism is a word that many people use more often today in our present day. Its been in usage for quite a while in the Christian faith as it implies the 'winning of souls' or the reaching out to new converts who before hand has not been in the 'Fold.
Evangelism can be said to be the bane of our existence as CHRISTIANS here on earth.It helps to further the range and spread of the Gospel(GOOD NEWS) around the world. It goes to show the reality that the world needs to hear the good news of the Gospel of JESUS which is able to save all who hear , accept and believe it.
Once I met a bike man(OKADA MAN) who carried me from home to the market. I had thought for a while how i was to start a conversation with him about God and i hesistated at first on how to start but the Spirit told me to start with a greeting which i did. We later on were involved in a discussion of his business, family and home as well as his love for God. He was a policeman and said he loved God but he was not born again. He said to be born again meant that there will be no more thrill for him and he was much in SIN not to accept God wondering if God will like him. I told him that he was the reason that CHRIST came to die.I shared from Rom 10:9-10 and he was glad. I led him to Christ before i paid and he was glad. I felt so glad that i led him to CHRIST. I still call him and he has been doing well.
