"Today na today... idiot... e don tay since you dey find my mout" "Eh, you say wetin? If I hear... e be like say dem day take ur head fry garri. I don tell u make u no day follow Sade again" "Ehn, if I dey follow am nko? Wetin u wan do? Wetin u fit do? Ur fada yansh" Na so fight take dey start... even in animal kingdom ![]() |
Elnino4ladies:It's just for show and popularity, but it's rooted deeply in the psychology of celebrity-by-vote: By giving the impression that he is romantically unattached, he stokes interest and attention in women - who will start discussing and pinning their romantic fantasies on him - resulting in a fan base that will be loyal to him and yield better votes. On the other hand, if he's known to be married, their interest wanes and he no longer has any particular advantage over anybody else... But our Instagram diggers sha... |
How many members do these parties have? Every week some thousands are decamping. I expect news where these members decamp, have decamped, un-decamped, re-decamped all in search of their own personal pockets. Smh |
moscobabs:Depends of course on the nationality of the parents... that takes precedence. If you're a pregnant Nigerian living in US, why would you get on a flight to Nigeria before you deliver? ![]() |
Depends on the situation. For some countries, citizenship is granted on basis of blood (i.e. your parents, no matter where, and what vessel). Then in addition, some countries (e.g. US) grant citizenship if child is born in or over its territories. And third, depending on where the plane is registered (if the country is signatory to the Convention on the Reduction of Statelessness agreement), said child is a citizen of the country of registry. |
Wait oh... $100 million?!? Wait make I faint small... How much is the sum of civil servants' salary in all of Naija? E reach $100million? Well, at least he's earned it, and is savvy to make sure he gets the lion's share of profit from his fight. |
Jamariwolf4:That's right... sluts get banged for free, and ladies get paid. You're a lady, I presume. ![]() Even the lady bird gets paid in ants and worms, so men, do the needful... think of it like watching Arsenal at the beer palour... it's entertainment and you pay to enter |
OneCorner:You're right oh... it took me a minute to fully process it. After all, if a wife wants to stray... she will find excuse, but she sha will come back after obgeni is tired of her. Unless she carry belle... that one is a different kettle of fish... |
That's how joystick will go and find another pair of eyes that will appreciate it. ![]() I'm just saying... |
linearity:Oh ok... heh, he made his bed already and must now lie in it. This what I say to guys all the time... if you don't want this to be a point of argument everytime you do something unrelated (like leave your socks outside to dry, or add extra salt to your soup) just fulfill her expectations. Basically, if you try to shortcut the proposal/marriage/knee thing... it will come back to disturb you in very unexpected ways. This is a case of dot your I and cross your T. Even if your wife/fiancee is OK with it... by the time she hears her peers gushing how Tony got on bended knee for Tope, or she reads in several magazines, or on Nairaland... something will start worrying her. Forget that other guys say they didn't do a formal proposal. Do your own, and at least, you can remove that as a source of quarrel for the rest of your life. |
FromZeroToHero:Nothing is mandatory oh... but there are expectations from her and her peers... it's up to you to choose which battles you want to fight, and which ones you want to lose so you'll have peace. This one is a very easy one: propose, get on one knee, give ring, etc so she can shame her enemies ![]() It's not too late and you can still make it romantic, so she'll have something to boast to her friends and tell her kids. At least you won't have spent time arguing about it or reading our responses on Nairaland. ![]() |
So... how do you tell a lady you want to marry her? The alternative is you just setup the wedding, tell your people, tell her people to keep it secret, and drag her to it unwittingly? I don't get... |
Solmax:Normally I would totally agree about importing food, but in this case, the fish are dried out by the cold and dry climate of Norwegian winter... something that's hard to obtain here. There are many things that we can produce locally with what we have on ground, but we'd have to have large fridges with constant power for months... this would only make Nigerian stockfish really expensive. Maybe we can roast our cod, the same way we make dried fish (catfish) |
See what Korea creates... Korea that was a rural wasteland until 1960s and poverty-stricken colony to Japan before that. I weep for my country to realize that another 50 years from now, we probably will still be importing equipment ... perhaps this time from Kenya |
You can tweet but you won't be heard... aren't our LGA chairmen, governors, senators using these same bad roads? |
It's sad that I've not been to other countries which are right next door. Even in Nigeria sef, I've mostly visited SW and Abuja. I should travel more... |
ClitoPen:If you move 2 up, it will block #4 which needs to move two spots to allow 7 and 10. 1. move #8 left 2. move #2 down 3. move #4 left twice 4. move #10 up twice 5. move #7 up |
Self-serving, and jumping at any chance. I used to back Atiku as a viable replacement for Buhari, but now I want all these old guard to go. They have done their best (for which they get D or C). From the sitting president, the letter-writing ex-president, and the vulture (I mean, ex-vicepresident), they should all just go and drink palmwine someplace. |
Benekruku:Partisanship aside... are you saying that Buhari should continue leading till 2023, because he has actually done well in his first term to deserve a second? Do you think it's possible the country would benefit from a different leader instead? I mean, no matter who is elected, I doubt you or I would personally benefit from contracts or anything, so why are people so vested in continuing with someone under whose leadership the country has suffered? If you can point to solid reasons why he should continue, I'm all ears. |
No problem. There's lots of land in the North, and fewer tsetse flies, so colonies should be setup there. And then, using the working train system (hah hah, yes I know, funny ), cows are sent down South for slaughter. In my opinion, all this nomadic lifestyle must stop... welcome to the 21'st century, where cows are kept on ranches. |
EndiaSami:The entire kitchen countertop is 1.2m wide, 0.55m deep (front to wall), and 0.9m high. I'll contact you on WhatsApp |
EndiaSami:Thank you... this is a bit large for the space we have... 25 inches... Pls what is the smallest of this composite type that you have (or can source)? |
NIGHTMAREOO7:Abi...? But this is a much better catch that all those grandmas. At least you don't need a towel or paper bag for this one, if you get my drift ![]() |
What Trump forgot to tell us is that his government takes as tax (income, sales, and property), up to 40% of the income of everyone, including hardworking immigrants. If it wasn't for immigrants like our professor here (and from Europe and other places), the US would not be as successful as it is. And more to the point, how many Americans do you think can save enough money to build a house in a different country, with cash (not mortgage?) |
It's not the physical attributes of Nigerian women we're complaining about, it's the mental and personality issues. If you can make them more independent, less demanding, less argumentative, with a sense of humour, then you have a better shot. *Note: I'm not saying women should be docile or something else chauvinist... after all I also prefer my male friends be independent, less demanding, and less argumentative. I just want a chill person I can hang out with who can take care of themselves - man or woman. |
chidexy:Trouble is he's got neither 'r' nor 'h', based on the picture. |
Happy New year bros EndiaSami, Please what are the dimensions (including depth) of this sink? Please quote a price for the sink and of this faucet. We'd like to buy two sets for our hostel, and anticipate getting more of the same should they work out. What's your experience with cleaning the composite sinks? Do they show signs of wear more than the stainless steel? Feel free to also suggest a similar faucet that might fit this sink better without being too large or too small. Thank you.

Bwahahaha. So funny ![]() All these are on point! |
jaksmillioniar:You haven't been hanging around the same Ghanaian girls I've been hanging around or perusing the right instagrams. |
Disclaimer: People will say this is body shaming, but she called for it: ![]() erm... I would be very surprised if this one got raped. Now that I've said that and have your attention, I want to reiterate that rape is a serious issue that must not be trivialized - either by men seeking to score a cheap joke, or by women like her boasting about how fly they look. Nobody deserves to be raped, and I fully support punishment for perpetrators. Rape is not a just "punishment for dressing sexily", or "inevitable because she was alone with you". If you disagree with what you're looking at or feel you can't control yourself, just look away, walk away, control your urges and abstain from calling names. |
vigasimple:Is it the system/constitution or leaders? What stopped all the representatives, businessmen, intellectuals, governors, senators, from transforming Yorubaland into a fantastic region where everyone is gainfully employed, factories are abundant, water flows, hospitals are well equipped, schools are functional? Are these not state responsibilities? Is it Abuja that decides how primary schools are run? Is it Abuja that is responsible for ensuring pipe-borne water? Is it Abuja's fault that my former governor (Ibori) absconded with billions of dollars while our youths turn to cultism, or that Obasanjo and Tinubu turned the public purse into their own private account? How will they suddenly transform Oduduwa when they'll be doing the same things they have done for 65 years? Past performance remains the best predictor of future performance. *Ogun and Lagos states have certainly tried, that I will commend |
Guestlander:Two things: 1. What does "give me what I want or else..." mean? If the Federal Government refuses to restructure, didn't the article mention using all means to achieve its aim? Let's not play naiive... violence is implied. Even a child understand what this threat means... an ass wuppin. ![]() 2. Let's be serious. The Federal Government has superior firepower, and when the chips are down, the UN respects firepower much more than it respects documents and declarations (as history has shown). In other words, if Oduduwa is serious, he should arm himself very very very well. If violence is not being implied, then of what use is the threat? "Restructure Nigeria or We Leave" is not child's play, it's supposed to pique attention. It's not the same as "Restructure Nigeria or We Ask Nicely Again". My position throughout this thread is that there are much better alternatives to this, and I've outlined them. I'm afraid the people who will suffer the most are not the people writing or publishing the advert. It will be me and you, our friends, families, children, and other people just like us. And if the Federal Government should see fit to pad a few envelopes or give a few choice positions, we'll find the voices of these leaders surprisingly quiet. I'm not casting aspersions on Yoruba leadership, but I can't help but recall that Ojukwu - our champion (and I say that with bitterness) didn't stay around to die like some members of my family as did so many of "his people". I can't help but recall US and UK selling arms and help enforce blockades that starved millions (right to self-determination indeed). I also can't help but recall how members of MEND became wealthy and the people on whose behalf they said they were fighting for... well, those are still wallowing in oil-slicked poverty. Where is Kanu? Why are the North-Eastern elites helpless/complicit in that region? Like I said, I will apply for visa to Oduduwa after the dust clears, just like people apply to US (which had its own civil war of succession which was won by Unionists - who wanted to keep the country together), and UK (which has had a long string of civil wars; the most recent with the IRA, again, essentially won by the the government who wanted to keep Northern Ireland in the UK), or to Spain, which too has kept the secessionist Catalonia at bay) |
