NwaChibuzor802: Mr Femi Otedola has failed woefully in his fatherly duties. Yoruba people claim to be the best when it comes to child upbringing but look at one of them. How can a sane man be proud of a daughter who jumps from one man to the other in her endless search for the perfect dick. I heard now she is dating one upcoming yoruba artist called Mr Eazi. So pathetic. So Florence dating two guys in the past, what, 2-3 years, and Temi dating one guy for the past year - that's failing in your fatherly duties? So unless you can provide verifiable proof of your slander, please retract your statement *not that I'm carrying matter for head, but we have to stop the hatorade that really stems from jealousy* |

First to comment after many years I debuted on nairaland.
Meanwhile let me pass a message, in a few weeks I will be migrating out of Nigeria permanently. I have realised there is no hope being an ordinary citizen in this hell hole of a country.
Nigeria is a country of the rich and elite class, lawless and if you are in this category, you live like a king. However the poor and middle class are doomed for life. You all are living in complete misery. You lack basic social amenities, poor healthcare facilities, roads, food, electricity, clean water, security and lives properties.
Yet you all praise the 0.1% elites follow them and there vision to keep you impoverish for life. We praise, fight for them and pray for them when death comes calling.
Byeeee in advance, I will contribute my quota but living on the other side of planet. And it's those same people you're abusing that built roads, built airports, built banks, built schools, built farms, built hospitals, make medicine, support currency, and established diplomatic ties that enable you to get survive long enough to get enough education, obtain a visa, buy a plane ticket and abandon this country. No problem, you'll miss home after you're there for a while. |

The US laws allow for protection of property (and life). Err... did you hear the guy's accent? "You lucky I don't kill ya, punk"... how bout the bystanders? Does they sound like British English? And of course there's no other English-speaking country in Europe so... Breadfruit: What do you mean she will not be paid for December if she doesn't sleep with him? Is she being paid to work or sleep with him? Hasn't she done her work? Why then will she not be paid?
She better know her rights and act accordingly. Why are you talking like this is not Naija? If you work for private companies, payment is at their discretion. Who will you complain to? Police? So you will pay them one month salary before they even begin to investigate? One young friend of mine eventually took her brothers to fight her boss over six-months back pay. The guy had been owing her (and other employees) even when they were dutifully coming to work. This happens a lot, sadly. |

donsimo: Every problem is an opportunity in disguise, but only if you tilt the perspective. This is an opportunity to the lady, set the guy up, there are cheap hidden cams to buy, she can " give in" and capture the guy, you her "boyfriend" can catch them in the act and threaten to ruin the man.
Watch her get promotions and a raise in salary. But she should find another job with his recommendation. You have no idea how much further she can go with him in her pocket. Unless there are different circumstances.
She can also play the rape card, black mail card. E.tc

AshiwajuFoward: Smh. But streets, roads, and monuments have been named after prominent igbos in other regions so what is the big deal? Why are they being so petty about it? *hiss* This is not a new road that is being commissioned. This is the name of long-existing road, named after a long-existing church. Roads are usually named after prominent people that have done good for a community, and this renaming is just frivolous, and the chief executive of the state did not consult the people who he represents before changing the name. That's a difference. |

Idrismusty97: Like the US doesn't benefit from being a Super power. Let them leave and watch rivals gladly fill in the space. Imagine if Nigeria and OPEC nations decides to dumb the US Dollars as the international currency and trade with Euro or other currency instead? And watch as the value of toilet papers become even more valuable than the dollars. Iraq tried to do this and they invaded it on pretense of weapon of Mass destruction. They can't play that card again especially as all their European allies and OPEC nations voted against them. Europe will gladly welcome our move to sell oil in Euros or pounds. The US invaded Iraq because of a nonexistence weapon of mass destruction but can't invade North Korea because unlike Iraq they actually HAVE weapons of mass destruction. They have their bases on South Korea, Japan, the Philippines all who voted against them including North Korea, Imagine the threat level on the US if Asians decides not to work with America on the issue of North Korea, Imagine if they actually formed an alliance? Because i can't fathom how a South Korean will prefer some Caucasians thousands of miles away who doesn't look like them, Talk like them or even speak the same language over their blood neighbours who have been sharing an Island with them for centuries.
And don't even get me started about China who are always ready, full throttle, steady standby to seize opportunities. Already the world(Especially the developing ones) are already looking towards China. Trump and the US will make this even much easier for them to take the stage. And don't forget Russia also. When one person feels he or his service is too special for the world, A thousands more arise to prove him wrong!
The average Palestinians parents are Palestinians, Grand parents were Palestinians, Great great grand parents were fûcking Palestinians! But ask a so called Israelite and he will be like My father is a Jew from Germany, My mother is a Jew from Russia, My grand parents are from Poland. Bullshîts! Well done. Please talk some sense into these people here... |

careytommy7: You call it a joke. Try and find out the major budgetary donors before typing trash.
Anyways, it's a good thing. The US has been looking to leave the UN for decades and this Jerusalem brouhaha seems to be the perfect decoy.
The world needs the US. The US does not need the rest of the world. It's hard to have a high GDP and exert influence when you annoy your allies and bully your friends. Who buys US airliners, CPUs, software, and movies, among many exports? If the world decides as one to desert the US, they'd be hard pressed to continue their saber rattling. Frankly, Ambassador Haley's speech - i.e. Trumps' speech - is quite insulting to their staunch allies (who probably understand that this is just the Trump way of doing things, not necessarily the US as a whole) and can't wait to see this bull voted out the china shop. Speaking of, China is quietly making friends, including on the African continent, growing its capabilities in many fields - and has become a net creditor to the world - while America remains belligerent, resting on its laurels and refusing to get along with others. Historians might note 2017 as a turning point in the fortunes of the US if it continues in this unprecedented lack of appreciation for others, and for matters that need more subtlety. |

darfay: You must be sick to say after asaba and warri it's all bush.ughelli, sapele and agbor have bigger population than Asaba so what's your stewpid point Touchy... and it not just you But seriously, my point is - and I say this as an indigene of Delta - that we have a long way to go to really develop our states. Compare all the towns, sorry, cities, in Delta to PortHarcourt, Onitsha, Enugu, Ibadan, Kano, Jos, Kaduna, Ilorin, and you will see where I'm coming from. We need industries, mechanized farming, large institutions that engage the majority of our populace. Yes we have some urban areas, but the truth is most of us in SS are a stone's throw away from a rural area. We can argue that tarred road and a few night spots means development, but in reality we lose so many of us to the larger cities, so the place remains underdeveloped with few services or options for employment. But I really like what udeh3 had to say in his post... Delta has spread development across many parts, as opposed to concentrating it in one or two cities... I've been impressed with what's going on, to be honest... udeh3: My opinion though. I've lived in most of the state's on that list, though I'm from Delta State.
River State is over-hyped. Apart from Portharcourt, where else is developed? To me, Delta State is the most visibly most developed state in SS. Delta State can boost of more than 5 township stadiums, upto 2 airports and very good road network and great transport system. All the towns or major towns in Delta State can boast of A Stadium and other great infrastructures which a city can have. Development is not population.
Delta State also boost of great cities and towns apart from Warri and Asaba. Delta State comprises of great cities like Sapele, Oghara, Agbor, Ughelli, Igbuzor, Ozoro, Oleh, Escavos, etc. These places are also developed. Development is not a centred system, it's supposed to be evenly. No part of SS has a massively spread development like Delta State. One might not noticed from the highways when travelling because most of the cities and town are inside
To me, Delta State should take the first position based on my exposure to these states. Since last week, I've been in Edo State.
All SS states still needs to do more |

Funnicator: Olosho as in professional olosho or cheap girls What's the difference? You can talk to both types, but money for hand... We have a whole range of them... from point-and-kill 500-1k, to poly girls for 1k and indomie, to pickup and drop off 3k-7k, to those that "won't take less than 15k", and of course we have our "must take me to Dubai and buy me iPhone" types too. So you can just cut your cloth according to the material in your pocket. But per my own ranking: 1. Rivers state 2. Akwa Ibom 3. Cross Rivers. 4. Delta state (Warri, then Asaba, but afterwards it's all bush) 5. Edo state (apart from Benin, nothing) 6. Finally, Bayelsa state. (which is just here because it's in SS, not because it's "developed" ) |
