Girls just dey carry dey do anyhow... no matter the country (is this Kingston, Jamaica? But it might well be Ibadan, Nigeria). We should also be training girls to stop being abusive. You don't have a right to an argument if the other party doesn't want to participate. If I was their teacher and saw this, she would be getting reprimanded/punished for verbal assault. |
safarigirl:There are always exceptions - as you pointed out, but in the main - having soft tissue like a breast become filled and taut with milk and fat during pregnancy results in those tissues not retaining their firmness and tone once they are no longer filled. Same thing happens with stomachs and arms. It's a generalization which has been true most of the time. Nobody is blaming children, or if children were asked to be born, etc., but if one wants children, here are some things that they are likely to give in exchange (i.e. "price" ): perkiness, sleep, independence, career, money, etc. I was just pointing out that instead of yabbing Tiwa's sag, we should appreciate them - you're right, they may be naturally saggy, but chances are they once were perky. |
anyimontana:Yep... that's one of the many prices women pay to bring children into this world. If you can accept that, then you can still appreciate those boobs without demeaning them. |
Forget oh... Tiwa is sooo cute... with or without makeup. Yoruba amaka ![]() |
ClearFlair:God bless PMB. Just wanted to say that, hrm, GDP numbers are indicative of how well a country is run and the prospects for opportunities for its youths... to wit: 2011 5.31% 2012 4.21% 2013 5.49% 2014 6.22% 2015 2.79% 2016 -1.58% 2017 -0.82% 2018 1.93% If we see 5% growth anytime during PMBs second tenure, I would be very surprised (albeit pleasantly). |
ken6488:Which nonsense Glo? Is it the one that if it rains like this, no signal for me? Or the one I will be losing credit mysteriously? They are all the same, and I use them all, but at least with MTN I can be sure of getting network. |
Good for her, but please realize that "Second Lieutenant. Typically the entry-level rank for most commissioned officers." - Wikipedia. Maybe she did ROTC while in college, and this is the rank you enter upon graduation. Please let me know when she becomes Colonel... after all we have many people of Nigerian descent at various ranks in the US armed forces. |
djon78:I have no problem when a successful woman runs her home well (including cooking), as long as it's her choice. If it isn't her choice, there's a lot of pressure on women to be superhuman, which is unduly stressful, and isn't required of men who are also medical doctors. What I'm saying is that we should not all get up in arms and offended when a woman chooses not to cook, for whatever reason. |
djon78: ensamy:Perhaps because people spend their time being efficient (on their talents, rather than on cooking because of some traditional notions of domestication), we have much more economic activity in Western Nigeria than in the East. I'm from Asaba BTW, so that your replies may be better informed before you flame me. ![]() |
People will always look down on women who don't cook, as if cooking in this modern age is an achievement. Personally, I enjoy cooking, and I would expect that of my partner, but there have been times in our lives when we're intensely working and building our businesses that you get more accomplished per hour of productive work, than on shopping and cooking. If one is an entrepreneur and chooses to spend her time and passion building something that brings value to many people, why should she waste energy going to market and cooking? She's making enough money on her business, enough to pay for the services of other business who specialize in cooking. That's efficiency, don't you think? Economies don't boom because women can cook, they boom when women (and men) apply their talents the best way they can. |
Good advice, but as this is Naija, it's dead on arrival... All those girls, which money are they going to use to take me out? They don't have shishi which is why they offer their bodies (either direct runs or indirect "girlfriend" ) . Even this one that's talking... is it not my money she's using to pay? Or will later ask me to pay in one form or another? Abeg make I hear word. If a woman spends 100 Naira on you, we'll never hear the end of it... and besides she will happily collect 10k from you then "borrow you 500 for beer". Please don't annoy me this night. |
Hah hah hah... I just tire for this country. 1. You and I know that money was stolen even before the cameras were deployed: contract inflation at least 50% and bribery stuff. 2. All the crime they are looking for is happening in government offices. 3. Solar cameras... after 6 months it won't work again. Neither will it work during rainy season. 4. Network issues will disturb gathering of data. 5. Who will maintain it? Just like the ones installed in past years. But no worries, 2020 presents new and fresh contract opportunities to siphon money. FFK... I'm sure he's never pressured any woman to ... erm... "do something about that pregnancy". |
Csonice1:6 billions non-Africans have discovered what works (science), and have long abandoned what doesn't work (voodoo). It shows in their economy, social wellbeing, quality of life. |
enemyofprogress:Going from your moniker, I'm guessing this is just a joke. Even so... I'm sure the hundreds of people who have been saved are glad she has a bigger brain than breasts. Yoruba Amaka... we should be proud of any Nigerian doing great things, no matter origin or gender. Reminds me of this other Dr. Ola Orekunrin founder of Flying Doctors. Another inspirational woman doing extraordinary things in healthcare, this time in Nigeria: https://www.flyingdoctorsnigeria.com/team-reputation/ |
RIP to the lady, but we know that the reasons for death after childbirth are primarily blood loss and infection. By improving the skill levels of healthcare providers in just these two areas (and improving sanitation in hospitals), our maternal mortality rate will be significantly reduced. Not some piece of something tied to some gate. Let's leave witchcraft in the 1700s please. Back then people did not know about the existence of bacteria or protozoa, but even then we understood the link between uncleanliness and disease (which is why we have a tradition of not using left hands for certain things). I'm not denying the possibility that the "evil men" found some way to infect her garments or give her something poisonous to eat; I'm just saying that tying cloth and other things to a gate do not induce death. Never have, never will. For those who care, I came across this Nigerian foundation: http://brownbuttonfoundation.org They were on the news a while back and I was touched by the founder's stories about this whole maternal mortality issue that is so easily preventable by take simple steps. Feel free to donate. |
soberdrunk:Ah ah... which olosho gets a guaranteed 10k per customer every time? Most likely 2k on average: sometimes 1k or even 500 depending on condition, and once in a while 5-7k. Plus out of that they will pay 3-5k per night to hotel, and sometimes to the girl that helped them get customer, so at the end of the day they may keep 5k on average. There are very lean nights, and there are also very fat nights where she can keep 20-30k, but those are rare. Even if she can handle 5/day, there are at least 7 days she can't work in a given month, so it averages slightly less than 2 customers/day, which gives you about 50 customers per month. Of course there are our codedruns girls that average 10k-20k per customer, but since they are not in the open, their frequency is lower per month, even if they establish a stream of regulars. |
Please they should go and baf. So ONE SS appointee (not cabinet member BTW) from GEJ era is retained, and people are singing praises. If it wasn't for the mandate for federal character, we know that Buhari's cabinet would have been comprised solely of Abubakars, Ahmeds, and Ali. |
Olosho is a job. If you don't want their services, move on please, instead of heaping abuse. Even Jesus was not abusive of prostitutes. |
Yes it does oh... Joy when you can cheerfully give police so they don't disturb your life. Joy when you can cheerfully give wife so she can stop comparing you with mr adelakun who bought his wife c-class Joy when you can cheerfully dig borehole and know you have water always. Joy when you can cheerfully buy solar system and know that your soup will never spoil in fridge Joy when you can cheerfully pay school fees so nobody will be videoing your child who was sent away. Pursuit of money at all cost is wrong, but nobody should tell me that money does not bring joy. Have you seen somebody cry because you gave them money? Me neither. |
... and when men injure or kill prostitutes, people will start complaining. Everyone should be professional about the business: clients should pay up without shortchanging, and providers should not rob their clients or be substandard. This woman just signed her death warrant... oyinbo no dey play oh. |
Idiots... and they think SARS and FG will just let them seize government property like that? Waiting for the next news article where "100 students from Giwa Poly arrested"; then all those students will have to post bail. |
Nukilia:Na Nigerians dey fall our own hands... nobody is supposed to "make things easy for us". Did you know Koreans and Japanese can visit USA visa-free for 90 days? This happened due to their own hard work to build their economy. It's like we want to eat yam from our backyard but don't want to plant and weed the farm. |
Olufela30:Forget oh... Chigul amaka. Argue with ur phone ![]() No mind am sis... notin do you. Happy birthday. ![]() |
Not that I'm one for twerking - since so many girls just don't know how to - but I clicked on this just to check if OP was right. Unfortunately, Regina was right: she indeed "Can't dance to save my life". various and assorted. I want my bandwidth back, please. |
Uh oh... General is coming out... enough of this "President" moniker... Somebody please tell him that Trump, May, Trudeau, Abe, and so many others are frequently the source of jokes for their country's comedians. Remember how much comedy we had with GEJ? Ah well, everybody needs to sit tight for the next 4 years because the country will become as dry as PMB's face. |
cucumbae:Abi now? They are basically showing us they're not better than PDP or APC that they abuse. |
Why doesn't he throw that money at schools or hospitals in his village? Since he's just wasting it, he can waste it a little more productively. I know people will say it's his own money, blah blah... but these guys need more imagination that this: throwing bundles of money in the air is so passé |
AkpaMgbor:That is so true... |
StarUp:I didn't want to be the guy that said it, but there usually is no fire without smoke. Ladies can be so abusive and even physically violent, but because of their relative size they don't do as much damage as a man can. Ideally the guy should always walk away or find another partner instead of putting his hands on her. |
it's quite a shame... |
