JessetariahMD:Ahhh..with all these conditions and u still say e dey safe? PH that is not safe from pickpockets, SARS, armed robbers, ritualists and cultists. Cult clashes here and there. If those from NC wouldn't wanna go back, it's probably because business is good over there. Apart from Fulani attacks on villages around Jos environs, plateau is the one state where u never experience the above listed. |
victorian:Madam, you just narrate complete nollywood scene for here ![]() |
Well I wouldn't try to go back in time. I'll talk about the one that happened this morning. I woke up around 4am with a running stomach and felt I needed to relieve myself. Omo I just kuku start dey play music on high volume to overshadow the sound ![]() |
Sermwell:Your cousin na corret man. Some people would even forget you exist and the day you reach out to them for help, they'll make you feel like you're bugging them. You sef try sha |
Ginaz:This is sooo mee |
Libkid:And To think my friend begged me today to give him the key to my room so he and his girlfriend can handle their business...ah! Me wey like my bed fresh. The guy still carry dat disappointment for mind reach this night ![]() |

Aysha110:Ahhhh...abeg there are Hausa Christians o. Dont get it twisted. Though their population isn't much, they are scattered all across the true hausa states. And I'm not just talking about about Christians who can speak hausa. I'm talking about real Hausawa |
taylor89:Village ppl spotted ![]() |
When you find yourself in the jungle, you do all you can to survive. No one said the warfront would have pipe borne water and pizza hut. |
CaptainStephen:Yeah, you mean far more important things like the government being careless enough not to hold the military authorities responsible for all the nonsense going on in the army? Soldiers not getting all their monthly allowances paid, even RCA na wahala, every bagga in position taking out his own share and giving the crumbs to the people who really deserved the whole, siphoning funds meant for troops into personal coffers. Sorry to say but today, we have more politicians in uniform than we ever had. I mean look at the arms Nigerian soldiers still dey run with. Ak and FN of 19kokro wey go knock down after few rounds. Where's the $1bn budget biko? Sometimes I wonder if Buhari was ever a service man. Every soldier must have witnessed first hand "eye service" and as a general, he must have gotten lots of that. Today he acts like the military authorities are infact, the very symbol of uprightness and honesty. I'm still shaking my head for Nigerian army. Navy sef don follow suit. Lord save us |
SmartyPants:This was helpful. Thanks alot |
Ebenezar2020:Ahhh...most developed Kwa. If u say road networks, I'll say yes... but talking about development in general, naaah. Save for Abakiliki the state capital, the rest of Ebonyi get k-leg. Imo is way developed |
Hi nairalanders, I got this huge opportunity last week to write pioneer contents for a website that's in it's design stage, even though I've never written contents for any site before. The thing is, I need advice and tips on how to go about this. I love tech stuff and people come to me to help confirm whatever product they're buying. But writing a pioneer content is a little different. I need help pls |
MondayOsunbor:Oga abeg it's not 100% correct jooor. Master warrant officers recieve 160+ , warrant officers recieve 110+ Only for private soldiers, Lcp and Cpl are correct |
KingAzubuike:Maybe you'd wanna take down the past guy's picture. I know him. He died last year in the NE |
Dollarseeker:O.S means Ordinary Seaman. They're freshly recruited ratings. They only take a few months training in order to become full fledged naval personnel The commissioned officers are those who either underwent 4 years civilian education/ military training at the Nigerian Defence Academy or already had their university degree and applied for Short service into the Navy. Also, you must understand that the Nigerian Navy isn't some ceremonial paramilitary organisation as is grossly misunderstood by many Nigerians. They are 100% military, just like the Army and Airforce |
Dollarseeker:The Nigerian military has nothing like 'Nigerian Navy Graduate' . What matters is if you're a commissioned officer or not. To answer ur q.stion, fresh Ratings like O.S recieve 50-55k while Freshly commissioned officers like sub.lt recieve almost 200k Medical officers recieve even more |
Rubbiish:Sooo true bro. I prefer saying sorry for no reason and have my peace of mind than claim rights and be out of mind shape. Some people think I'm being a coward for acting like that. Well...that's just me But that does not mean I dont get angry. It's too bad to put out in public that I just wait till I'm alone, then I vent it all out on nothing in particular |
I used to be a 'close-mouth' type of introvert. Always quiet and a lil shy. But then, my mind was always active; constantly exploring its dynamism. By and by, I got into an all boys secondary school where I learned to gain confidence in a lot of ways. Back then at school, no one even knew I was an introvert. I became loud, outspoken and to some extent, a bully(just for fun). I also participated in social functions including performing in other schools where were invited. But in each day that passes by, one would never fail to sight me at some quiet place soaking my self all in some book or just sitting and doing nothing at all. Back then at home, I was a totally different person. Always indoors putting my creative mindset to work. Matter of fact, I was close door neighbours with the Reverend of my church but he could go 2 weeks without seeing me. A lot of people in my block didn't know me. Some thought I had longed travel. They even started calling me 'Amarya' in hausa which means 'New bride' since the hausa 'Amaryas' hardly ever step out in the early months of their marriage. Then I got into the university. Things were different. At first I was always by myself, then I started mingling and boom! A lot of my mates got to know me before I even knew them. Them girls think I play too much( if you know what I mean), some would always want me around cause I'm a dose of fun. When ever i step in the class, i say hi to everyone, commend someone's dress, love another's perfume etc. But after all of this, at the end of the day, I withdraw back to my world. The real world. The world I love. The world of quiet. In this world, My only companion is my headphone and my thoughts. In this world, I permit myself to be selfish. I hardly have visitors, always indoors minding my business. My best friend who doesn't know the 'other me' thinks I'm being wicked for not letting him Accomodate with me. I discovered that being an introvert allows dynamism and flexibility. If you still haven't recognized the dynamism and strength of an introvert's mind, you might just be wasting your most greatest resources. Let me tell u a little about myself I gained confidence when I discovered I could actually speak in different accents- hausa, yoruba, igbo, American, English, Spanish, and other African accents. People easily get fascinated by this. Back in secondary school, they always wanted to hear a Nigerian speak like a pure American breed. I'M AN INTROVERT I gained confidence when I was approached by a dancer to help out in a competition. I was natural and never danced on a public stage but he noticed me nevertheless...and what i served them blew their minds away. I'M AN INTROVERT I gained confidence when people commended me for being able to make amateur architectural designs without having a single knowledge of Tech. Drawing. I'M AN INTROVERT A lot of people still think I'm an arrogant snub who think he's better because he talks sleek. I'M AN INTROVERT Being an introvert is the best thing that ever happened to me. But...uhhhm...why do we fantasize so daaamn much ![]() |
Please I need help with a windows 8.1 pro activation key generator. I'll appreciate free product keys as well...pls and pls help a brother |
Maybe Nigerians should have a rethink about this. Haven't the fulanis been living in this country since ever before? Why the sudden burst of violence? Are they fulanis? same fulanis we've been living with all these years or foreigners invading our land and serving the political dictates of selfish politicians? We should think about it all Personally, I've been around fulanis a lot of times, even as a kid. We used to visit their RUGA where they give us Fura, nono, kinda, dambu, eggs etc. As a kid, I was their favourite. Everybody wanted me in their home. Growing up, I still was their favourite kid in my area and whenever they show up to sell stuff, I sometimes get things without paying for them. I still remember Husseina, Hassana, Babile, Maigogo, Sa'a, Abbu, Lucky, the 100 yrs plus twins, Gadhafi, Addo etc. To this day, those born after I had left know about a boy called 'Sha'am' ( their own version of the name Sam , My name). I had fulani friends back then who were very amusing to be with. Always talking about their grazing adventures. They lived peacefully but even then, I noticed they used to avoid and to some extent, drive away some other sets of fulanis which I later discovered were foreigners from Niger and Chad. They used to say those other fulanis are very bad and troublesome and don't hesitate to kill over disputes. All I'm saying is, It's bad to just conclude every fulani man out there is evil. There's more to the troubles we have in this country than what meets the eye. Fulani herdsmen who love to live in little but extra neat compounds with woods arranged at the middle with tiny huts full of China wares, radio and bamboo wouldn't wake up one day to start clamouring for furnished apartments in every state in the country. Its 90% politically motivated..let's know that |
To me, AKA was only trying to say Nigerians are sooo good that no matter how hard they try, they just never seem to get anywhere near our mark. #Shikenan |
Gone are those days when other nations stiffen the moment Nigeria sneezes. Today, they keep condemning with mouth and doing nothing about a thing. Smh |
wealth25:Maybe you should pray for them to be strong enough to face their own challenges and not have to depend on a man for anything even when they're still unmarried. If you were strong enough to keep to your vows despite the challenges, train them to be Stronger, more resilient and more disciplined. They'll live to appreciate that kind of upbringing. |
aishaemeka:Ohhh...e be like say You never jam fulani ooo. cos If you have, you wouldn't compare them to any other tribe in Nigeria. Igbo girls still fine sha |
From your write up, I guess you've got some sort of affiliation to Nigeria. Well, I'm still young and not a parent so it will be hard to really put myself in your shoes. But You must know that "Send him over, enroll him in a very nice boarding school and watch him get better" may not apply to everyone. Btw, I strongly believe in 'village people' . Those guys really do exist and they ain't playing . They can mess up your whole life in just a fortnight. |
Dude Simply said he would love to learn Hausa in addition to his mother tongue and some people are already bashing him. Abeg tell me...is it a crime to have knowledge of another Language in addition to your mother tongue? I live in the east and truth is, it baffles me to hear a lot of igbo people speak hausa. Taxi drivers, traders, shop owners, business executives etc. I see no reason why he shouldn't learn. In my case, all I do is say a few hausa words to aboki with a deliberately strong hausa accent and Gbam! Tomatoes, Pepper, and meat don full everywhere ![]() |
