KunleOshob:let me also add that, polygamy itself is no sin, the process towards polygamy is the sin. because, literarily a married man who fancies another woman and proceed wiith his intreasts is likely to fornicate before they are officially married. So it is best and ideal as a christian to marry only one wife. @ poster I don't think d pastor should have done what he did. the man was married to these women before he knew Christ, as such there was no basis for a proper weddin ceremony in church. |

@ Aloy.Emeka u r just ranting. post evidences to substantiate any of ur claims on Awo`s alledged injustice to the igbos. and any reasons to justify ur choice of tafa balewa and azikwe as better leaders. if u can't do this u can easily realise how tribalistically beclouded your opinions are. |
and what makes u tink he is going to resign like he said. he is bidding his time to fight back. |
@ Topic It makes no difference who the father is. . . . . . . palin will always get sympathy from the american public, especially from women. @ Davidylan and Tayo D u both have cogent points . . . . But it wont b in obamas intreast to attack Palin(wether or not he is involved in this), I tink he should just stick to issues like he has done from the very begining. if this election is determined on issues Obama should win easily, but I am afraid the republicans are re-defining the battle ground by making it a personality contest. If this election is then determined based on personality, I dont see obama winning especially if he attacks palin. . . . . .Hilllary will be helpful here |

The art of ascribing illitracy, corruption, poverty, underdevelopment or anything negative about nigeria to a particular tribe is in my opinion the height of illitracy. poverty and hunger know no tribe, face or religion. they are the products of irresponsible leadership. A leadership is irresponsible if it is corrupt, wasteful, refuses to meet the needs of the citizenry and make plans for the future. in all facets of the nigerian socio-political and religious life, the leadership has continued to fail regardless of their tribal or religious affilliations. and to this unfortunate category does murtala mohammed belong. my only fear is that we the followers are also begining to fail as well, . . . . . . . . . . . |
@ poster very thought provoking. endeavor not to accuse anyone of false miracles, cos none of us can verify that except God. but u can raise questions about all other things they do, that way we can easily make conclusions on the genuiety of their miracles. but if u raise questions about the authencity of their miracles without any proove to back it up, u tend to sound more like another nuisance. I m enjoying the course. all da best. |
Queenisha:very funny . . . . . . i didnt know nairaland is now a place for jesters ![]() u made an uninformed statement by generalising the north, and me tinkin u were of the intelligent specie that made a one-off mistake, asked u for clarification, and look at wat came out of ur mouth. very unfortunate |
Queenisha:which is? |
KunleOshob:i like ur conclusion, its typical nigerian. people responded sayin all sorts of tins about wat they heared or read in storybooks, but yet refuse to produce sources. they all claim to have read from an historical book, whats the title of the book? the source? I refuse to be religiously or intellectually stupid. if anyone has any good reason to suggest that lucifer is not satan, then bring ur opinion on board and state sources. and if ur source is d bible, make an effort to make an analysis. dont just type and tink u r speakin to kindergarten pupils who r expected to take ur word without reasoning. what evidences or refrences suggest that lucifer aint satan? |
yes, but with wisdom. |
and the message is? |
DeepZone:all have sinned |
KunleOshob:in isaiah 14 :12. Lucifer was described as having fallen from heaven and cast down to the earth. How you have fallen from heaven, O morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations! was the king of babylon human, he could not have been to heaven not to talk of being cast down from heaven. this truth is butressed in Rev 12: 7-9 7And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. 8But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. 9The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. and also the lucifer in Isaiah 14 was described as the morning star and light bringer. this corroborates what Jesus said in luke 10:18 18He replied, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Satan and lucifer are one and the same, they represent the enemies of God. Lucifer was his name when he was the morning star, shining in the glory of God, he became satan (which means enemy of God) when he rebbeled against God. |
coolruler:what r u talking about? u made a categorical statement and not a guess, u said, coolruler:u had a definite opinion that satan n lucifer r not the same and u unfortunately butressed it with a nihilant historical source. do u want to share with us why u believe the version of this history book n not the bible?
Education is all about asking questions you hear?
not so, my dear. its about asking questions with the intention to learn and be informed. |
KunleOshob:so was the supposed earthly or historical king of babylon also the one refered to in verses 13 and 14? You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. [c] 14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High." you can only overthrow or rebel against what u c. so did your presumed king of babylon ever live with, see or saw God to have developed these thoughts?. . . . . . My take is NO. and the poster never said the source of his misinformation was d bible. . . . . he laid credence to another historical source, which is d basis of my disagreement with his opinion. |
Big B1:Yes, IBB was and is still a coward. He couldnt stand up to OBJ, the same way he was silent during abacha`s 4 years nobody did except atiku. IBB was busy playing chess, hoping the agenda fails and the Obj would then support him. The whole of Nigeria. spearheaded by Atiku and other disgruntled elements in PDP OBJ and only OBJ He simply supported third term and betrayed the coward and opportunist called IBB. are they on terms, even now? Its called propaganda. IBB stock has forever continued to fall ever since he annulled june 12. if OBJ sells for 5p then IBB is probably 3p |
coolruler:i wonder how intelligent u are? u choose to discredit the claims of one record (the bible), believed by over a billion people against an ancient record which we can hardly make refrence to. |
hillary was splendid |
@ topic he was govenor of katsina for 8 years, yet he couldnt biuld a world class hospital in katsina to treat his case. it tells a lot about his true intentions for nigeria. to die in power n b remebered as a former president. all da best mr. president |
uhmn. . . . . . |
davidylan:uhmn. . . . . . very hillarious ![]() lots of my mates too were having an hopeless hope in the yara guy when he came in , . . . . . , . . , its the nigerian thing to proclaim anything new as the best ever, even when they have a bad past record. dont forget pastor tunde bakare also claimed yara is d messiah long awaited. |
i tot pastor tunde bakare said yaradua is d long awaited messiah . . . . . . . . . |

I think this idea of one wife was introduced when european culture mixed with christianity. Whilst i am not an advocate for polygamy, i believe it is wrong for preachers to present their personal opinions as the word of God and indoctrinate it. Such issues should at best be advisory and not presented as the word of God.
