fembas316: Please, I am no where near a guru, but I would like to get some things clear as to Canadian TRV application. I have this feeling that not all online applications necessarily pass through Ghana embassy. Why do I say so? I did an online application; and my Passport request came on 6th June, my passport reached Lagos VFS on 8th June and my passport with approved TRV dispatched from Lagos on 9th June.
Based on this timeline, I presume my passport never got to Ghana at all. Gurus, could we have a lil deliberation on this please? When did you apply online? |

Yomalicious: Don't see any thing wrong with doing the side business thing. If the lump sum didn't just start, and it's pretty frequent with narrattions on the transfers. That's explanatory. When I applied for my canadian visiting visa, had salary inflow of 200k which was constant, then I sell tickets so I had a turn over of 34million. I didn't put any explanation because I always include narrations. And it got approved. Nothing wrong with side business. These people just want SHOW ME THE MONEY. If In doubt, they would tell you to pay school fees.
Infact by the time I printed My statement for My study permit, my turnover was 62 million 77pages.
My opinion Thanks you so much. I started the side business last year and the inflow and outflow have been consistent. Sometimes with narratives, not all came with narratives. Thanks a lot. Will just defer till January. |

samjumbo: Frankly speaking, August 2017, now maybe too late. No crime in trying but if you could defer, I did advice that.
For your networking stuff, my dear, u have to show very good evidence of the source of your income. Heavy flows with no liable justification may not be lump summing but may raise issues cos a teacher submitting e.g a salary of 30k now having transactions of 2million, were is the CAC doc. backing that business and proofs of fund source etc.
My advice, use another account of yours, let your sponsor transfer the money to it and submit just your pay slip. Don't mention networking stuff in your app. They may tag u as the famous "yahoo boys" going to Canada. And be sure they will check too.
Shikena!! And who told you my salary is 30k. My annual salary as a teacher is 4.2m . Not all teachers in Nigeria are poorly paid. If you want to advice someone, don't be condescending. There is dignity in labour. In any case, you don't know Multi level marketing profession is a profession? You should keep quiet if you don't have any constructive advise to give people. |

jnyuwa02: August may be too late applying now. Defer your admission to January if possible. Yes you have to explain your second job and sources of income in your SOP, otherwise might look suspicious. State relationship with sponsor and why he is giving you all that money. What is this person giving you all these money getting in return? Pay your fees with school to settle any lingering doubt I will recommend. Work and concentrate on establishing substantial home ties too that will induce your return to your country after your studies. Thanks a lot. Will do just that. |

Good morning All. Please I have somethings bothering me. I have gotten 99% of all my documents ready for an online application come Monday. Please kindly advice accordingly. 1. My school starts end of August, hope i am not applying too late? 2. Aside my teaching career , I also do a networking business by the side and it has made my bank account heavy with inflows, outflows and lump sum deposits due to the nature of the business and the earnings that come with it. Hope this won't pose a challenge to me? Do I state the business in my SOP to explain the sources of the large deposits?
3. I have a sponsor with a closing balance of. 36m Naira and he paid 4.5m to my account to support my school fees and living expenses with a promise of paying more money into my account. I hope we are on track with this one? |

mesh2003: Wii derail a bit cos I am so super excited. My mums visiting visa got approved. I applied online for her May 10th. Sent CSE once and email 2x. I sent the last email yesterday and they responded me saying that I will get a passport request message soon. This morning I received it. I am writing this for the mothers struggling to leave their kids behind. YES YOU CAN. I left my barely 1 year daughter on the 14th of December, 2014. I left her behind for a purpose. Undivided attention in my studies. I made my school deans list with gpa of 4.0 and won the best international student award in business school. I finished school December 26th and landed a good job January 15th, 2017. I am now ready to see my daughter after 2 and half years who will be coming with my mum this July. So my dear mothers(married or single mums) in this forum, you can do it. Focus on what's in front. Leave emotions behind. Congratulations sis. If I had one baby, maybe I can leave him or her behind but 3 babies ? It is extremely difficult for me considering I struggled with infertility for 10 years before having them. I have gotten a daycare near the Uni and an apartment we would be staying so I can put them there to study while I do my studies too. They are presently in preschool here in Lagos and will cope very well there too. That has been my routine for 20 months now. |

kosb: Hi Nogen, I contacted the CAQ guys and was told my certificate was sent to the Lagos Visa office since June 19 but that mine might take time as a result of the delays from my country's courier service. So they advised I contact the visa office for the best way forward (although she mentioned I could go ahead with my student permit application. But then she wasn't patient enough to explain how.
Do you have any idea what I could do? Thanks. I also got the news mine has been given and sent to Visa office. It was a positive response. Will get the rest of my documents ready by tomorrow and then apply online. |

kosb: Thank you Nogen for the contact you sent. It's same with the one I had but I initially thought it was wrong cos it's an automated answering machine (plus it was busy blowing french) I'll try again probably on Monday to hear what they have to say. But in all, this whole CAQ thing is becoming a daunting experience.
A quick one: what exactly did they say happened to the first application? Was urs paper application?? Did you apply from Nigeria
All the best dear! Oh oh. You don't speak French? They didn't tell me. I did online and then sent rhe documents via DHL to them. They said I should fax the documents to them. I did that yesterday. Will call on Monday to follow up. |

Update on CQA from Quebec. I called back today since I didn't get the certificate. I was told to fax all my documents I initially submitted to them..
Now, my question is how do I fax them? There are phons applications that can help me fax them? Please, if you know one , please let me know. I remember people faxing their documents to IAOS for certificates evaluation. Please help a sister! Thanks. |

Thanks They apologized for the lateness and promised to send it before Wednesday. If I don't get before then, I should call back on Wednesday. So I hope to get it today. In the meantime, I will continue with my application. I found out I can start my TRV application without the CAQ but will include my payment receipts and documents showing I have applied for it. Then nite in my SOP that it will be emailed to them as soon as I receive it. Thanks. |

Hello all! My CAQ from Quebec is taking so long to come out. I submitted since the 6th of May and they took delivery on the 9th of May. It is over 1 month now. Do you suggest I call them tomorrow? Without the CAQ, I can't apply for the TRV right?
Whoever has been in my shoes should please give me some.suggestions on how to go about this. I don't have too much time because my lectures start end of August. Thanks. |

Yomalicious: Even if she applies for visa for them now a visa won't be stamped on their passport because they are Americans. Americans can apply to study at a Canadian border. Which means even if she decides not to include them in her application they can still get the paper's at the border. The only thing applying for them now would do is increase her finaincials. However if you had not already told Quebec you are travelling with your kids, would have advised you not to apply for them now until after you have recieved yours then change status. Because Quebec would send all your papers to the embassy. Going with babies is no issue but you need to have enuff funds. Also include that they would be put in daycare or day homes in quebec( nanny is very expensive). Day care/ homes per child is about 1000 cad a month per child. Do a little researh on day homes in Quebec and I also know students get subsided day care fees so explore that so by the time you are explaining to the VO how you would care for them, you would sound like someone that is prepared
Goodluck Thanks a lot. I learnt something from the express entry thread where a couple was sent back at the Point of Entry because their American children were not included in their PR. They assumed because their children are Americans , they wouldn't need a PR visa. That's why informed them and we are making financial provision for the babies ' upkeep. I will check out the day cares in Quebec too. Thanks a lot. |

jnyuwa02: Applying once in Canada for them to be approved to stay more than six months will require you to leave Canada and return. In essence, your children will need a visa. I say do it right now in Nigeria to prevent unnecessary complications. You have already told cic you are taking the children along with you, so why not proceed based on that premise and apply for visa for them right now. Thanks to you and everyone who responded to my question. I will have to pay the visa fees for them as well. I don't want stories that touch. Does that mean , they will also do medicals? I'm going for an upfront medical examination. |

Good morning all. Please I need some clarifications. Do we have anyone who has gone with the children alone? My children are US citizens but I am going with them because they are babies. They are not yet 2 years old. (Please I don't want the advise of leaving them behind because there is no one to leave them with)
In my application for a CAQ , I indicated I'm going with them. I'm waiting for the certificate , hopefully I will receive it this week. Then I commence my online application. My husband is not going with us. My sister and Oga will be applying as visitors and they will be shuttling Canada and Nigeria until we have a permanent solution for the kids.
Now, what and what do I need to apply for the children? Are they entitled to the point of entry visa? Or would I also need to send their passports to Ghana? They don't have Nigerian passports yet.
Please your kind responses will be appreciated. |
