Nnystc: Nne, You were not barren. You were a mom in waiting, getting nuggets to be used in encouraging Other moms waiting.
I'm sure if you met a woman in that situation you will do a better job of encouraging her than the usual "I'm praying for you" and "don't worry God will do it" that the uninitiated may use to encourage them... You are right. I was a mom in waiting. |

najalady86: Wow. Congrats dear. I think you were the one i saw my first day at the Dr's office with your LO mum and aunty. Didn't know you went through all these. May God's name be praised. And like you said, the Dr. Is a God sent. Nice to a fault. May God bless him. He even offered to collect his fees via wire transfer despite slashing his fees. And for those considering L.A., trust me it's so much better here. Used Oakbend and Dr F last time and i can tell the difference. There is also Metro bus and train to almost every where. Haven't spent up to 10 dollars on transportation since I came and I go out almost every day. Most times, the bus driver will just wave you and say dodnt bother paying. Congratulations to you and all mums who have delivered of their LOs. God bless you all. To that mum that gave birth at 34weeks , It was indeed a miracle. I gave birth at 34weeks 5days and all my babies were in the NICU for about 2 weeks before they were discharged. Paying NICU bills is not beans. Glory be to God for such a miracle. Now, this your doctor is amazing. Will certainly use him for my next journey before T shuts the door on us. |

ify4charm: Pls new and old mama's I urgently need advise.
I just put to bed but haven't been able to express any breastmilk since the last 24hrs. LO sucks but nothing comes out. I am still doing skin to skin contact to initiate milk flow. Pls is there anyone who has experienced this and has a solution. Currently she is being bottled fed but i ll like to stop it asap. While you are waiting for the breastmilk to start coming out, please do get some baby formula for your LO. May we not use our hands to turn our baby into what God didn't plan for him or her because we are waiting on breastmilk. |

asikiye: To those of us who travel with Pap, do you also travel with evaporated or powdered milk because i so HATE their fresh milk and in naija/african stores our milk is expensive. if you do, do they seize them at the agriculture? thinking of how to produce enough breastmilk this time around. then any tips on getting one's belly flat quickly? any native tips? Evaporated milk and even powered milk are sold in the US. Go to Walmart and get as many as you want. |

osat82: thanks, but are pregnant women allowed to drive in the US? Sure, so long you are comfortable, have you driver's license and understand road signs. Get a car that has a GPS device to help you with directions. I drove in the US but after delivery however, some Naija pregnant mums in the apartment drove , me I was too uncomfortable and in pains to drive. |

Theodora: @Nogen
Why would you say I lied?
I was advised on this thread to first go on a vacation since that was the primary purpose of the visa in the first place. And for me to go back in June when I was close to my delivery.
It is obvious you are a very judgemental person who thinks everybody goes around giving the country a bad name.
I only updated because, the officer never even noticed my pregnancy despite my fears that I may be "grilled".
I can see your halo from afar. If that is the case, I am sorry. I don't judge people but I strongly believe in saying the truth at all times. Once again, I am sorry. |

anizi: Before attacking someone and "assuming" i think the proper thing to do, should be to ask questions and get facts right first. Madam Anizi, where in my post did I attack her? The forum is about 'Give birth in the US, cost and procedures '. She told us the CBP saw her big tummy and believed her story of going for vacations. Her words not mine. I still maintain we must endeavour to say the truth at all times and not block ways for those sincere people who would still embark on this journey. |

Theodora: Hello Everyone,
I would like to thank everyone that responded to my question earlier in Part 3. I would also like to say that my journey to the USA was a breeze. I arrived Apr 1 and despite my obvious belly I was only asked 2 questions
Officer at POE :Why are you visiting the US.
Me: For my vacation
Officer at POE: What do you do?
Me: HR manager at bla bla ......
Officer at POE: ok welcome .Stamps me in for 6months and wishes me good luck. They didn't check my bag or anything..
I went in through Houston.
Thank you There was no reason telling him lies. You are obviously pregnant and intend to give birth in the USA. You should have said the truth in my own opinion. Let's stop giving Nigeria a bad name please. |

Na wa! What a day! Leakytribe, I don't even know what to say right now to console you. Please, be strong. Where there is life, there is hope. How did you get the nanny? For some reasons, hubby and I haven't taken any nanny. We can't just trust them enough and we simply can't shout!
Involve the Police. They will get her. Hope you have her photos. Publish them on both printed and electronic media. She will be found. You can go on Facebook now. Try not to draw attention to yourself but to the thief.
For the lady with a tampered SSN. Please, whatever you can do to secure your son's future please do. Your so called in law didn't remember you are a family when he embarked on this fraudulent path?
And to everyone who's going on this journey. Try and rent a place to stay during your sojourn to avoid stories that touch. Now, your brother in law wants you to pay for the food, water, etc you and your son consumed while in his place..arrant nonsense!!! |
