@gratefulme40
So I decided to do some investigation regarding your question o (see image below). It clearly states that if you are on a tier 2 visa, then your dependent cannot apply in the UK if they have visitor visa --> https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/family-members
I suggest you contact UKVI and confirm before travel.

@Mamatukwas: what dependent visa were you on and what year did you apply for your child?

Yes, you have to book appointment first. Only afterwards, it will take you to the place to upload

Sorry, do I need to book appointment first before uploading as I do not see the link for upload?

Not totally correct, there is a placeholder for each work experience that you input. Mine had 3 - different roles with the same company and I uploaded the same reference letter in each placeholder.

Mummychichi:

I don't think I understand your question. I think there will be one place holder for work experience. Scan all reference letters together and upload in the space provided.

I hope thia answers your question but if not, let's wait for others input.
Travel / Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by nomad26: 1:42pm On Jul 11, 2019
Yeah that's what I did, I uploaded the same reference letter twice.
DonFreshmoney:

Thank you so much. I was also thinking of that..

Writing it seperately means there would be 2 sections for same job when uploading the work experience documents. Am i meant to upload same for both sides as i have same job title

Try using this camscanner app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.intsig.camscanner. If it doesn't work well, then you can also scan your documents at a business centre, should cost you less than what tls will charge you for assisted service.
djbaju:
Thanks for the reply sir, it is not that i cant upload these documents but from information i go from TLS site it says *If you have paper documents and don't have access to a flatbed scanner, download our TLScontact mobile app* but i cant find this app on play store or do i say i dont know it name, ones i see asked for payment/upgrade, or is there another i can do this cos i av lot of document and it will cost me more than what for the collection centre asked for. Thanks.

I am confused, why do you need an 'app'? You can upload it yourself, it isn't rocket science.
No need to upload your application form or the checklist form, just your supporting documents. You will take the checklist with you to your biometrics appointment.
Please log into your application page and read all the information provided. Everything you need to do is written there.

djbaju:
Good morning ladies and gentle men, Please i need an APP to upload my documents i av seen several that wants payment but the reviews are not encouraging, Also do i need to upload my application form i downloaded and filled (checklist form) or just upload other supporting documents and take them with my passport for bio-metrics. I await your prompt response.
Thanks

No it isn't. In fact, you are advised not to provide flight reservation details.

I would advise that you go with option one: write both periods separately. This is what I did for mine.
And make sure your reference letter from your employer shows both periods of employment too. I wouldn't advise you to combine them because your dates won't line up when you're filling the personal history section, also it could be termed misrepresentation. Good luck smiley

Please i need help....

I worked for a hotel as an Account officer for 11 months, i left the hotel and worked for a bank for 7 months, then came back to the hotel and worked for over 2 years..

I want to claim 3 years work experience from only the hotel. How would i write my employment and resignation date? Should i write for both periods i worked there. Eg, june 2016 to may 2017 and november 2017 to june 2019.

Or should i just write single period june 2016 to june 2019 and raise a LOE that i left to work in a bank within that period.

@STENON, I don't think it's serious enough for you to use an immigration lawyer for a visitor visa. I am on tier 2 and applied for my folks last year with virgin passport and they got their visas. I've also just applied for my mum and brother this year too.
If your parents are paying for their trip themselves, then either yourself or your aunt can invite them. If their trip is being sponsored, then let the person paying invite them. Important things to note:
1. Funds - plan their budget well and ensure whoever is paying for their trip isn't spending a large % of their income or savings on the trip.
2. Proof that they will return back home - do they have jobs/businesses/investments/dependents/etc - make sure you include evidence of these in their application.
3. Try to make sure there are no large deposits in any of the bank statements you're submitting. If there are, then make sure you explain the source of the money in a cover letter.
Also, read through the uk visitor visa thread https://www.nairaland.com/5233246/general-uk-visa-enquiries-part/27 There's a goldmine of useful information there. If you have specific questions, post it there so you can get more relevant responses.

DaveChapelle:

Good idea...please takeur first application very seriously, if they deny it, it will always come up on future application. i would suggest you even use an immigration lawyer to make sure it is water tight....alsonote, Home office don't refund visa money....so you don't fund summer holiday for their staff....They have chop about 5 applications for my mum and brother....very painful

One thing I'd advise is that before you conclude on a particular car, make sure to do a check on how much the insurance will cost. This may significantly influence your decision.

Good day house, please is it after uploading of the documents before one can be able to pick a date of appointment? No, you will pick an appointment before uploading documents. You can then take your time uploading your documents. All documents must be uploaded and submitted before you appear at the visa application centre for your biometrics. And again is it possible for someone to pick a date he/she wish to appear at the embassy? A calendar will appear showing all available slots, you will then be able to pick the slot that suits you. There is also an option for walk-in appointment if you want flexibility, but note that it comes at extra cost

His wife has HND, wouldn't that qualify as 2 or more degrees?

Stencil:
Hi there,
I looked at your case and tried to come up options for you.
You have an MBA so that's a plus. It would help if your wife has "two or more degrees"

UK issue the same pcc for both Scotland and England so it's ok to upload the UK PCC in both slots.

adanac13:
but this time I noticed it had added a third Police Certificate for me bearing in mind I had already uploaded for Scotland and Nigeria. Now the new Police Certificate indicated "England" shocked. I quickly went to the police certificate sight to reconfirm if England and Scotland were separated but all I could see is United Kingdom (meaning they're grouped together right?). I have resolved to Upload the same Police Certificate in both fields.

I don't know if I'm doing the right thing

Someone help please

No I don't, haven't tried Monzo in naija. But if it's the debit card (not prepaid), I think it should work. I've used Starling's debit card in Abuja with no issues.

That's great! Yeah I also think they'll allow her do both together since it's the same day. Wishing her good luck with the application smiley
MrsDaniels:
nomad26 so my sister tried her luck couple of minutes ago and amended her baby's appointment and saw a 2pm regular appointment time slot and picked that. So she would just be paying for their document upload service alone now. Lucky her init? Lol! Someone must have dropped that time slot that made it available. So she wont be paying for Prime time again for her baby and am cocksure they would just let her do her babys upload same time with hers since her own appt is for 9am since his a baby. Thanks dear for ur input.

The tls appointment site doesn't make sense to me too o, they are just out to get as much money from people as possible. Here's how I avoided paying any extra fee when booking appointment for my brother and mum last week:. I had both applications open on two laptops and I was able to successfully book the same time slots for them.
Is it critical for your sister to submit on the 3rd? If not, there is an option to amend appointment on the tls site. She can use that to cancel and then try the method I suggested above. Hopefully she will be able to get the same time slot for her and her baby.

MrsDaniels:
Hi evening all, please my sister and her 6months old baby wanna visit myself and my husband here and then she got appointment date and time for July 3rd for 9am for herself and would be paying the 10k assisted service fees for her document upload...but as she was abt to click same time for her baby it took her to the only available time for 8am so she had to take it only for her to find out she would be paying an extra 37k for Prime time service as stated on VAC site and also 10k for upload. Pls is it possible for her to explain to them when she gets there because now the both time appointments wouldnt be tallying as the baby was scheduled for 8am and she the mother 9am. What would you advise she does? She feels angry she would have to pay when she can just pay for their assisted service totaling 20k for she and her baby. Anyone have a clue? Or been in this type of situation before?

That shouldn't cause any problem In your next application as you didn't overstay. No need to worry.
NanaOne1:
Hello house,

During my previous visa application I stated that I will travel on 19th August 2016 but the decision making process delayed so I received my passport with visa on 15th August 2016 which made me postpone my travel to October 2016. I still spent the same two weeks I stated on my application.

I want to know if this will be an issue in my current application?

Kindly share your thoughts

Thank you
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by nomad26: 11:49pm On Jun 27, 2019
Yes it is ok to state 3 weeks, there is no rule that says first time applicants can only go for 2 weeks. Are you sponsoring your trip yourself? Bear in mind that the visa officer will take into account your personal circumstances, so ensure that the cost of your trip is proportionate to your salary, it will not look good if you're spending more than 3x your salary on a trip.

Mashaunola:

Thank you so much for your help on this platform.

Please, I intend to travel to the UK with my mother. My mother has been issued a Visa already but I am yet to apply because of the delay in receiving my passport. Now my passport has been issued.

My question is that I want to state that I will spend 2 weeks in the UK based on the recommendation of other users on this platform for an applicant that has not been issued a visa before but my concern is that my mother stated that she intends to spend 3 weeks and will be travelling with me when she applied for her visa.
Now I am concerned that the ECO will wonder why we are both travelling together but we are returning back to Nigeria on separate dates.

Please is it safe to state the 3 weeks to correspond with my mother's application?

Thank you in anticipation

Congrats on your PPR. Why don't you send an email requesting to submit your passport to the Lindon VO? People have successfully changed visa submission centres in the past. I'd suggest giving it a shot, I think it's better than the Accra headache.

hi guys, does anyone know how i can send my passport in for stamping? i got my ppr on monday and its been a headache trying to send it to accra without a prepaid envelop within the package as DHL doesnt do prepaid packs. i have less than 11 days now.

@amaya21

Thank you for your responds. I will try to get her involved anyhow. I am confused with the outcome of my CRS simulation. I don't know if excess reading about it is getting me confused lol. I was comfortably above 67/100 and this 'In the last 10 years, how many years of skilled work experience in Canada do you have'? If you've never worked in Canada, you will select zero here and 'In the last 10 years how many total years of foreign skilled work experience do you have? You only need 3 yrs to get maximum points for this question so it doesn't matter if you have 6 or 10 yrs experience. Select 3 or more. I have been self employed since 2013 with my registered business. The second option would accept only 3 years work experience and that's where I am confused. Please help.

This thing is confusing but there's a guide at the top of the page (see image). I think property documents should go under 'accomodation temporary or permanent' while hotel accomodation under 'travel and residency documents'
