@gratefulme40 So I decided to do some investigation regarding your question o (see image below). It clearly states that if you are on a tier 2 visa, then your dependent cannot apply in the UK if they have visitor visa --> https://www.gov.uk/tier-2-general/family-members I suggest you contact UKVI and confirm before travel. @Mamatukwas: what dependent visa were you on and what year did you apply for your child? 2 Likes

Yes, you have to book appointment first. Only afterwards, it will take you to the place to upload babs4all: |

cc:DonFreshmoney Not totally correct, there is a placeholder for each work experience that you input. Mine had 3 - different roles with the same company and I uploaded the same reference letter in each placeholder. Mummychichi: |

Try using this camscanner app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.intsig.camscanner. If it doesn't work well, then you can also scan your documents at a business centre, should cost you less than what tls will charge you for assisted service. djbaju: 1 Like |

I am confused, why do you need an 'app'? You can upload it yourself, it isn't rocket science. No need to upload your application form or the checklist form, just your supporting documents. You will take the checklist with you to your biometrics appointment. Please log into your application page and read all the information provided. Everything you need to do is written there. djbaju: |

No it isn't. In fact, you are advised not to provide flight reservation details. Dlaw6578: |

I would advise that you go with option one: write both periods separately. This is what I did for mine. And make sure your reference letter from your employer shows both periods of employment too. I wouldn't advise you to combine them because your dates won't line up when you're filling the personal history section, also it could be termed misrepresentation. Good luck DonFreshmoney: 2 Likes |

@STENON, I don't think it's serious enough for you to use an immigration lawyer for a visitor visa. I am on tier 2 and applied for my folks last year with virgin passport and they got their visas. I've also just applied for my mum and brother this year too. If your parents are paying for their trip themselves, then either yourself or your aunt can invite them. If their trip is being sponsored, then let the person paying invite them. Important things to note: 1. Funds - plan their budget well and ensure whoever is paying for their trip isn't spending a large % of their income or savings on the trip. 2. Proof that they will return back home - do they have jobs/businesses/investments/dependents/etc - make sure you include evidence of these in their application. 3. Try to make sure there are no large deposits in any of the bank statements you're submitting. If there are, then make sure you explain the source of the money in a cover letter. Also, read through the uk visitor visa thread https://www.nairaland.com/5233246/general-uk-visa-enquiries-part/27 There's a goldmine of useful information there. If you have specific questions, post it there so you can get more relevant responses. DaveChapelle: 7 Likes 3 Shares |

One thing I'd advise is that before you conclude on a particular car, make sure to do a check on how much the insurance will cost. This may significantly influence your decision. RalphJean: 6 Likes 3 Shares |

UK issue the same pcc for both Scotland and England so it's ok to upload the UK PCC in both slots. adanac13: 1 Like |

No I don't, haven't tried Monzo in naija. But if it's the debit card (not prepaid), I think it should work. I've used Starling's debit card in Abuja with no issues. CowbellY: |

The tls appointment site doesn't make sense to me too o, they are just out to get as much money from people as possible. Here's how I avoided paying any extra fee when booking appointment for my brother and mum last week:. I had both applications open on two laptops and I was able to successfully book the same time slots for them. Is it critical for your sister to submit on the 3rd? If not, there is an option to amend appointment on the tls site. She can use that to cancel and then try the method I suggested above. Hopefully she will be able to get the same time slot for her and her baby. MrsDaniels: |

Did you receive an email that your application has been decided? If not, then I think you just have to wait. I would try calling them only after a week or more. Consy83: |

Yes it is ok to state 3 weeks, there is no rule that says first time applicants can only go for 2 weeks. Are you sponsoring your trip yourself? Bear in mind that the visa officer will take into account your personal circumstances, so ensure that the cost of your trip is proportionate to your salary, it will not look good if you're spending more than 3x your salary on a trip. Congrats on your PPR. Why don't you send an email requesting to submit your passport to the Lindon VO? People have successfully changed visa submission centres in the past. I'd suggest giving it a shot, I think it's better than the Accra headache. captainmichaelo: 2 Likes |

Congrats and thanks for sharing. I noticed you used self service. If you don't mind, I'd really appreciate if you could please list the documents you uploaded for your application and what categories you chose for each. My brother is also applying for a visit visa and this new self upload system is driving us mad. Thanks. MadameW: |

This thing is confusing but there's a guide at the top of the page (see image). I think property documents should go under 'accomodation temporary or permanent' while hotel accomodation under 'travel and residency documents' miqos02:
