No you don't need a credit card, I used a debit card and it was accepted. No you don't need to evaluate WAEC, just your highest degree - MSc. For future queries, try and search on the thread first, most questions have already been answered multiple times. Nicole995: 3 Likes |

The MOT test is done once a year so the history may or may not reveal that information but you should definitely check it. Also, I'd advise to inspect the car before you buy it, especially if you're buying from a private seller. When I bought mine, I went with a mechanic friend who inspected the car and we did a test drive before completing the deal. Yinkzy03: |

I am assuming that Nigeria is your country of residence and that at some point in time, you have lived there more than six months in a row. If this is correct, then you need PCC from Nigeria. For your work country, you are not required to submit PCC since you've never stayed there 6 months in a row. However there is a possibility that you may be asked to submit it later on, at the discretion of your case officer. So if you can, I'd advise getting PCC from there too. I also worked on rotation in a french country and this is what I plan to do. nonsam1: 2 Likes |

Mine arrived 2 weeks after the stipulated date. I'd say wait a bit and call the post office regularly to find out if it has arrived to save the stress of going there physically multiple times. Alternatively, you can report via this link if it is more than 10 days late. https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence-permits/not-arrived readynow: |

This is incorrect o. IELTS scores are locked when your post-ITA application has been received (AOR) NOT when you get ITA. cc:laghopeful20181 Hephgirl: 2 Likes |

I'd still advise speaking to wakanow, Egypt air is part of star alliance and there might be a codeshare flight to Calgary. If you decide to book a separate flight from Toronto to Calgary sha, then it is better to book it in advance but give yourself plenty time to get your bags, clear immigration and check-in again. Not necessarily. The primary applicant must write IELTS but it is not compulsory for the spouse. If you have enough points to get ITA, then the spouse does not need to write IELTS. First thing to do is check your points without spouse IELTS, if it is more than 460, then your spouse may not need to write the exam. Current ITA trend has been 440-445. Check your points here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp Also read page 1of this thread, you will need the very useful information there. Rbae: 1 Like 1 Share |

What airline are you flying? Some airlines will let you change your ticket online yourself for a fee (Delta, KLM, AF). I suggest you try this first. OR call wakanow and find out how much it'll cost to change the ticket. Landing in Toronto and then taking bus to Alberta is a long journey o and might not be your best option Alternatively, you may consider flying to Alberta (Calgary is 4hrs+ by flight and there's direct flight for 500 CAD). In summary, do more research, find out the cost and time of all options before you decide. Guitarlife: 3 Likes |

I think both of you need to start working. If she is not having serious seizures, she can get a job even if it is part-time. You also need a job in Nigeria. Both of you need money. Moving to UK is not cheap, work for a couple of years in Nigeria and plan properly towards moving to UK, it should be a long term plan for both of you. You can visit each other from time to time until then. Good luck. Freeze007: 2 Likes |

According to the application guidelines, when you are filling your post-ITA application, the system will not ask you for a PCC from China because you didn't stay 6 months in a row at any time. However, based on past experiences from some people, there is a high likelihood that your case officer will request that you provide the PCC from China. Now you have two options: if you want to be proactive, you can go ahead, get the PCC now and submit it with your post-ITA application OR you can wait until/if you receive ADR to submit it later. Yes, you can combine two NOCs as long as they fall within 0, A or B skill level. By the way, if I remember correctly, I think you get maximum experience points with 3 years experience so alternatively you can consider only using one to claim points. Zanotee: 1 Like 1 Share |

From my own experience, I am on tier 2 work visa and my partner applied for dependant visa, even though there was no plan for him to move permanently to UK, because he has a business to run in Nigeria. If you plan to study in the UK for a long period (>1 year), then I would advice going for the dependant visa, he will be given permit to enter and leave UK as he wishes and it will have the same validity as your tier 4 visa. iboboyswag: |

@smslive2, of course it won't be valid but that would also apply to a stay in any country regardless of the length of the visit. Somebody can commit a crime on their first day in a country they didn't live in for 6 months or more. However according to the guidance on this PCC requirement, they haven't specifically requested for PCC from every country visited, just countries you stayed 6 months or more in a row. It would be good to hear from people with similar experiences who got PPR. smslive2: |

@glowberry, I completely agree with you. My interpretation of this sentence also was that his UK PCC should still be valid as he did not stay 6 months in a row this time i.e. he wasn't resident anymore but just visiting. glowberry: |

You don't need any of these for a tier 4 dependent visa. What you need to present mainly is proof of maintenance fund and proof of your relationship to your wife. Check out the link below and do more research before you waste your money. https://www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa/family-members thonerow: |

To be honest, I can't really advice which order to do it. In my case, I wasn't too confident that my school (foreign university) would respond so I didn't pay intially. What I did was that I created an account on the ICES portal, then I contacted my school with the ICES reference number. I only made payment after my school had confirmed that my transcripts had been sent to ICES. emadamysy: 1 Like |

Hi veleta, this is sad, it is an attempt to rip off the customer and apparently this is quite common in the UK. Your story is similar to one I read on the Guardian a few weeks ago https://www.theguardian.com/money/2018/sep/14/why-am-i-now-liable-for-my-no-fault-accident-claim Please read the comments, you might find useful advice there from other people's experiences. veleta: 1 Like 1 Share |
