How una take dey go ladipo market? Need idea on how to go about it coz my mechanic don chop me finish. So, I wana start going to the market to do little things myself.

My fear is where to park before entering the market and getting someone to fix the stuff. I intend changing my brake pad n disc for one of my back leg.

Also, are there any risk involved doing this kinda thing ?

Honestly, brake disc n pad is a simple fix that shouldn't warrant going all the way to Ladipo, the stress nko? Change your mechanic if he is truly ripping you off.

If you insist, The earlier the better, before no space to park.

There's always a designated space managed by the parking touts for such. I think it's ₦1k for parking, for the whole day.

Go to where the parts r sold, sample like 3 sellers, don't allow anyone lead you to any part seller. Refuse to be assisted. Go on your own. have a fair price in mind.

Ask the part seller to recommend a good mechanic that can fix the parts for you. Take the mech to where you are parked.

After installing your stuff. Check it. Pay mechanic, Pay tout 1k for parking. N you r on your way out.

The wisdom is "operate in areas you are familiar with". You won't have much issues on the island - ikoyi proper, V. I, Lekki Phase 1 and 2.

Some drivers were born n bred in Lagos Island, they grew up as young kids playing ball across neighborhoods. Now, you can't compare the knowledge of such a driver when Lagos Island trips pop up to someone who is just a settler (lives and works) in Lagos.

Depends on the vendor and how you store it. Mine is 5 or 6 years old now. Last year we deployed it to apply urea and mycorhyza to our maize and because of the precision delivery, the maize did excellently well.

Fresh maize or as grains? , how many tons /ha.?

There are no good roads in Lagos for those kind of cars.

Only Federal govt can stop d app/website from working in Nigeria.
They don't have an office to go n shut down their activities, even if they did, they can still close and leave the App working.
U can't tell riders not to use Indriver, or arrest them for patronizing a company "operating illegally"
So the only stakeholder LASG can lay their hands on are the drivers.
It's d drivers that are keeping the app working.

You are right about that, drivers sustain the life force of the app, I know LASG can't do much.

But come to think of it, LASG haven't rolled out those their LAGRIDE, are they taking a cue from Moove?

Tbh, Indrive is damaging the eco system for ehailing. Ridiculous rates, Haba, how do you give riders so much power to determine prices arbitrarily in a city like Lagos.? There should be a threshold. ( riders shouldn't go below , maximum 10% of the recommended fare).

How can you allow riders to delete recommended fares, then give drivers options to accept a marginal increase of ₦100.

The reason is not far fetched, they haven't paid anything to LASG, that's why, if they paid registration in millions to LASG, nobody will teach them on how to stop displaying stupid fares.

Though, there should be a proper channel through which LASG can achieve this, not through this agbero strategy, that aprroach is really lame (with all the pacesetter status of the state) if it's coming from LASG.

Avoid going to VIO prone areas. You can't reason with those guys.

The major problem with this Indriver App is not having a physical office.

I guess it's because they don't have an office where the government would have gone to seal up, that's why they are frustrating drivers working on the App. (Which is wrong)

LASG can restrict them just like FG did with Twitter but no, they'd rather extort drivers that is just trying to survive.

LASG can't do shit and they know it. It's cloud technology, the hard drives and servers are tucked safely somewhere offshore.

Meanwhile asides from Maryland Hub, where can I do Uber inspection on the island? I've been to Petrocam Lekki twice and the guy keeps saying that Uber Inspection App is not working optimally, that's they just upgraded the App.

Na the island peeps fit give update on that. But if you happen to catch a trip to the mainland. Ashabi cole street, Alausa , 5 - 6 buildings before the Mobil filling station.

Ensure you are parked in front of the workshop (deep brown roof).

I agree with you. Last week Friday I took a trip to Passport office Alausa. Immediately I dropped the rider, I went to Mobil park, in less than 10mins I got Island trip and pick happened to be at the passport office. Then I remembered they said task force officials do fake trio just to arrest drivers.

I cancelled and drove down to Ogudu, better to loose 4k than enter those guys trap.

Though, I don't fancy indriver, The wisdom here in the meantime is anybody with less than 10 trips as a rider ordering rides around Alausa is a suspect.

I thought the issue they have with the government has been settled already. Indriver now takes VAT on every trip taken, are they not remitting it to LASG abi which kind Wahala be all these.

Maybe LASG wants an upfront from them. If they pay, I'm sure they will stop throwing ridiculous rates on the app or prevent riders from quoting incredible fares.

Thanks to everyone who took time in helping me find solutions to this problem.

Today, I took a rider to COD and while going to link new market, this same issue repeated itself. So I brought out my scanner while I parked by the road side without killing the engine.

I connected the scanner and it quickly linked with the ECU. Scanned and it brought out about 13 fault codes with 4 of the codes being critical.

Here are the codes:
P0325: Knock Sensor 1 Circuit (Bank 1 or Single Sensor)

P0606: Powertrain ECM/PCM Processor

P1658: Powertrain

P2185: Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor2 Circuit High


Fuel pump complete Assy was changed in February,

All spark plugs were was also replaced when I cahnged the Knock engine sensor.

Cc Crvrider, northbird, Pearl1910, deedee44 etc

Please do this before spending any money.[If you are sure, your fuel pump is not the issue.

Go to your fuse box.

You can check it yourself, or direct your rewire to help check for the fuse for the ECM. (brain box).
Check whether the fuse is not broken ( it usually has the designated power ratings written on the underneath of the fuse box cover, others like, lamp, Horn, fog, bla bla ) . For a corrolla, the ECM fuse is marked '20'. Do not use a '10 or 15' for a '20' .

There's always a spare one in the fuse box. If there's no spare, Don't bridge with wire, change it. Don't buy those new China fuse,

Tokunbo fuse is around ₦50-100 per one depending on ur area. Last last, it can't be more than ₦150 per one. Buy from those vendors selling Tokunbo light bulbs, lamp holders. horn.

Your engine should be OFF when doing this. Drive around and see if there's any improvement.

My civic will just stop accelerating while in motion. The first experience was on third mainland bridge while coming from ibadan. I managed it like that till I reached Lekki then after it cool down a little bit it was normal after I restarted the engine and it rev as it used to

I never encounter anything like that again since then until yesterday while I was on a trip it did same thing. I have to manage it like that till I finished the trip because. Once it start the speedometer won't go beyond 40 and will diminish once the road is no a level ground. No matter how hard I press the gas, it won't just respond.

I've scanned the car and there is no fault code registered on the ECU. I've also Google search the problem but no specific cause.

Abeg I can't continue with this wahala and be comfortable driving people up and down putting their lives and mine at risk

1.Check your fuel pump., a weak fuel pump behaves like that.

2. Check your injector mouth, it might also be dirty.

I know brt is a no go area but it does not look like brt lane it's wider than the brt lane u use to know and there are several cars ahead of me not knowing it was a trap...... Northbird. It has been removed, but cars coming from dopemu still passed there in the presence of lastma and police at the roundabout and they didn't do anything. So is it safe to say it's still one way?

I think the removal was just to stop the rogue lastma and police agents from leaving their posts to start extorting motorists.
