Excellergroup: Hello All, Pls when trying to pick someone from the arrival terminal of the MMIA, is the best bet parking at the multi-storey level car park and the traveller going to meet the driver at the car park ? or there's a way to pick the traveller somewhere closer to the exit/entrance of the arrival terminal ? I'm not an uber driver, Just asking cos a friend almost got harassed by some touts with a towing vehicle upon dropping off someone at the departure area, and I know the case at the arrival section might be worse. Pick up. Drive to Car park.... Park your car properly. Use your legs, stroll to arrival. Assist your guest with luggages to the car park. Pay car park fees and be on your way. Drop off. Ensure all farewell greetings are to be done before getting there. Departure is not a place where you start dishing and receiving last minute instructions.. Hugs, pecks and all that... unless you are with escort police / army. If not, park, open trunk and evacuate all their luggages as quickly as possible ... and be on your way. |

lanrexdo: The truth is! Bolt is fast dying. The app is always which even on broad street at 6pm! No be juju be that! I spent 11am to 10pm only to gross 17k Fuel 4k Bolt Charges 4k
9k
Indriver is a mad house!
Been trying but you see. Just click on price next you will see order taken even if you click the said amount.
Some riders will now reduce price if so many people are on the trip and sometime will still pick it after price reduction.
No be juju be that! Boss, without Surge, Bolt is useless.. 25% commission for doing what exactly? ... Ogba to Berger is one of the most profitable routes (Keke and Korope) on the mainland, yet the almighty Oluomo /Nurtw takes only 14.5% from drivers. (there's a garage, there's union support services, there's also a community for help). You pay for everything you get on Bolt (training, inspection, verification). So what's the real benefit for driving on Bolt. On Tuesday, I did ₦7500 gross on Indrive. I still took 5k home after fuel & commission. Wasn't a full day because I had other things to do on the mainland. (I didn't move beyond ogba, Allen and Maryland) No stress at all. I was happy going where I wanted to, everybody was happy (riders, myself and the app). It was true freedom. No BS driver score /activity. No threats . I relied so much on Bolt last year. I can't believe myself now using Bolt app as a last resort. |

Sarsam: I was a struggling fresh graduate when I was introduced to pineapple farming
I planted about 15,000 pineapple suckers around June 2020, followed due process of it's farming.
Last year, I induced it all, and about 12,000 of the pineapple stands started fruiting, at first I was scared of how to sell 12,000 fruits, but when I started getting intouch with fruit sellers in my area, I was able to get many customers even more than what I needed.
I harvested over 10,000 fruits at ones and sold in dozens, I have about 600 dozens bigger sizes of pineapple fruits which I sold for ₦6000 per dozen. I realized approximately ₦3,600,000 on just 600 dozens of bigger sizes fruits I still have some smaller sizes left which I sold for ₦3000 per dozen
Planting just 15,000 suckers, and harvested about 12,000 fruits after spending about 700k on the farm.
Now I believe what some pineapple farmer always say, pineapple farming is a cool money investment...
Pineapple farming is a lucrative agrobusiness, invest in it if you have the opportunity.

Seems indriver is gaining traction by the day.... Bolt is just stupid and so full of themselves with that driver score and activity BS. 3 inspections in a year that you pay for, after 25% commission... Uber is another sad story, I can't imagine how a Pioneer in a field suddenly turned to playing catch up... Imagine MTN, playing second fiddle to Glo.. in Nigerian telecoms It's either Uber is not really interested in the Nigerian market (maybe Egypt and South Africa markets are more profitable) or the management here are just satisfied with their performance. Right now, Uber should be leading, but I don't get that feelers from them. This is a very simple stuff, open up the destination feature... |

My maize last year.. Apart from paying for the efforts of all farming activities, I gave the supervisor, 10% of all the sales made... I lost, but it was a learning process that was invaluable.
Peradventure, I delve into livestock, my live - in worker must have a sense of belonging by drafting a % ( you work it out, maybe for every 10 or 11 goats, he owns 1 too. Apart from salary). It creates a sense of ownership, they take the venture very serious....they are committed to see the project to the very end. |

LiveWithIt: Good morning house, I got a Corolla from an uncle 2010 model. I'll be using it for bolt and indriver so I have the following questions..
With hard of working 6:30 to 8-9pm can I make around 20k as my gain after bolt/indriver commission and fuel?
Is it still lucrative as it used to be?
Will it be worth it using the car for bolt/indriver as am not doing anything for a while and can I save 100k weekly?
I heard weekends are the best time to earn more Friday through Sunday how true is this??
Pls house I'll be so honored to get a response as I'll be starting on on Monday next week
My main purpose of wanting to go into this hustle is to make make daily income that can pay my bills, so I'm not lazy I just want to know if the hustle can generate 15-20k from 6:30/7am to 8/pm. Daily but I'll have days I'll like to be off to service car and give myself rest as I would have mastered the job
Please I'll be waiting and answering questions. I need to get a quick response to influence my decision thank in advance
Driving location is Lagos
Pope191 CheerfulGiver High earners drive odd hours. That's the MO for high dashboards in Lagos. Take this advice.. Babies crawl first before they walk.... A. Not all trips/locations are good, some will do more damage to the car than the financial gain. You can find out by reading the thread from 2019 till date. B. Safety... As a newbie, don't make compromises, Bolt and Uber bears no liability on you or the car. C. Invest in yourself too. Dedicate 2 half days weekly to plan your life career /business wise. Uber/Bolt is a slippery slope. No real skills to learn on Uber/Bolt,any dummy can drive. Don't get sucked in.Goodluck. |

Pearl1910: Why not? If they can ban bike in Lagos and Kano, what's up with IB. It's even places that there is no traffic that it's easy to ban bike sef Or restrict them to small streets. You want to compare Ibadan with Lagos, is it by land size or the cultural /political complexities of the city. Take it from me, bike ban in Ibadan is DOA. When Lagos was busy enforcing Yeye face mask here, people in Ibadan were just moving freely.. doing their stuff. |

illicit: Nigerian cow milk is not the same as foreign
I hope u know we have local peak milk and Holland peak milk
Holland peak milk is better and costs more than Nigerian peak milk
But then I do drink raw cow milk, I don't think it's better than kunnu, both Aya and millet The best thing is that it's not dilluted, it's sweeter and fresher than canned milk, it's more filling just like kunu No difference. Why Holland is costly is largely due to the exchange rate coupled with the fact that it will be taxed since it's imported. |
