Men! To get a car dis period to drive no go easy o. I feel for guys looking out for cars.
If only Nigeria and Nigerians are transparent and sincere, most of these car sellers should come to rescue. Some cars have been on car stand for years looking for buyers. But sellers and HP guys go dey fight. Greed go enter!!
Nothing pains to know u can do something but tools no dey.

After all, I hear say oyibos no dey pay fully for cars to acquire them.
You can't compare. An average oyibo man is straight forward and honest.

A lot of people here don't have empathy. Someone struggles to scrape up funds for a car to help the family, they give you the car as a young man to work with.

Boom, they forget the person that facilitated the tool. Week after week, they give excuses.

Okay thanks boss and pls sir is this hirepurchase okay for family man I need your advice please my salary for where I work now as driver is 80k per month so I want to resign and start this Uber job Your advise please house
Moove is for hardworking guys o. Cos the average company drivers I hv met are laid back o.

Are you working 7 days a week for that 80k monthly. If not, rentals is your best option n not HP.

On rental, you will make more than your salary, but note, you will also work your ass off too.

Cos most regular company drivers don't really drive around Lagos, some days sef, they might just shuttle around their vicinity n close for the day.

2 different ball games.

On ehailing, you will see money, but you must be ready to drive too.

Attit:
That money you want to use to do 11 acres, kindly reduce the land area. Go an buy irrigation set (drip). If it's just 3 acres you can do, focus on it. Make sure there is water near you.

Since you said you are in Ogun and Oyo. Dont ever try it relying on rain. If not, you are on your own. Talk to an expert who can configure your farm.

1. Enough water
2. Drip set up and cost

If you neglect the two above, you are gambling, and you will see the result. Do not come cry here. All those above showing you corn plants will not tell yoy the truth. Perhaps all his cobs did not produce good grains..they wont gell you. They will just show you tall corn plants. Do not be deceived with that. Go and get irrigation ready first.

You are warned oooo. March to May...there isnts rain in Ogun and Oyo again. Even throughout the year, it is hard to predict. You have been warned.
Stop peddling falsehood. There are good rain patterns in Oyo and ogun. April & may

You being an expert should know more. How can you break even with drip costs and set up for maize? grin

@op.

Dont buy any drip or irrigation stuff. Start with rain fed first.

@JoePatrao. Know this and be at peace.

No matter what you are told, there is a learning curve, that applies to your earnings as well.

You can't hit the ground running and hitting big earnings weekly. It's going to be gradual. The more you identify how the city breathes and moves, the better your earnings.

More importantly, take safety precautions.
Gravity is a universal force, at least on Earth. It has no regard for race, title, position or experience. If a professor of physics jumps from a 25 storey building, he is going down too.

Life is a gift.

Bro I have zero expectation
Just tell me what’s obtainable in relation to what hours I put
I should buy the car today, would you advise I go for the 2009 Corrrola or something lesser
Please
If you have not bought the car. N you want a corolla. The models 03-06. are very good.
Since you are new, you need a car that can at least enter some areas without issues.

I kid you not, the bumper of 09 corrolla can pull off on some culverts around Baruwa or ikorodu inner inner.

You don't need any luxury for Uber. Fuel efficiency, rugged, available parts, mechanics, easy to dispose/sell off. ( if you are no longer interested), zero /minimal electrical issues., are great points for 04,05,06 corolla.

When you r experienced, you can then upgrade to 09/10 corrolla

The city is Lagos

I don’t really know why they failed and I’m not taking there account serious because people tend to blame other factors apart from themselves when they fail

I’m hoping to hear from people who are successful
And how much do you think I can earn weekely and what driving pattern and hours would you advice?
You didn't mention your income expectations.
What are you looking at?

Moreover, your friends might be correct in a way based on their background. For example, someone who is a trader for instance, and gets on the average 15k daily as profit.

Such a person might consider Uber as unprofitable even he makes 15k daily at it. cos of the rigors involved in the work.

I’m considering using a 2009 Corolla for Uber
I’ve had 2 very close friends stop driving and sell there cars, they claim it’s not a profitable venture anymore

Please I need advice
Should I go ahead or japahuh
What's their definition of profitable? Which city?
,40,50
60k/week or 1M monthly embarassed How many months did they drive before they quit?

How much are you looking at?
Personally, 09 corolla (costly spare parts) is quite luxurious for the fares on a normal day.

Bolt is still good. Cos you can choose what trips to take and which areas to avoid.

But it's not a straight meal ticket. The more hours you put in, the better your monthly income outlook.

90% of car jacking cases occur at night.

The solution :
Only verified riders should be allowed to order rides at night.

Almost everyone has a NIN now.

ONE WAY ALERT. MARINA.

If you are coming from Eko Bridge, before getting to apongbon, there is a slight detour by the right that leads you to Marina/UBA roundabout.
Once you take the detour, you take your next left to proceed to Uba Roundabout.

Note, that road is a two way single file. this means once you descend from Eko Bridge, you must be on the extreme right side of the road leading to UBA roundabout. it's not a double lane, the other lane is usually free

private cars who are probably rushing to work in the mornings fall prey to this.

Lastma guys are waiting with their phones to fleece unsuspecting private cars. Please share it to all the people you know, even if they are not on ehailing. One shouldn't be on this platform n suffer from those stupid lastma traps. (BTW, they just put the signage there like 2 weeks ago.)
Where I grew up, there's a saying
"Ipa ti a pa ogberi a gbodo pa Omo awo be." literally, you shouldn't experience what a layman or jjc goes through on Lagos roads.

On load matter.

I got a request from Jibowu to Omole1 (about a month ago).
Rider called immediately and said it's load that I'll be carrying from Jibowu to Omole for her.
I asked if the load is much, but she said no. So I drove to young park.

Got there but the lady that's to attend to me haven't arrived. Called her, she said she'll be there soon, but it took over 30mins before a man came to attend to me.

When the man Opened the van to show me the load, na the 4cartons in the picture below I saw. I asked if it's one of the cartons, but the man said it's 4 of them.

I provoke, called the lady that booked the rider. Chatted her up on whatsap to confirm if these big cartons are really what she want me to carry that she told me it's not much load. She replied me that it should be 5cartons. (Imagine nonsense)

I asked, why will you book a ride for this much loads?
(it's even indriver. 2.5k)
She now asked me how much will I carry it for?
I didn't reply, cancelled and moved.

She called me few minutes later and asked again, how much will I collect?
But I replied her that I've left the place and hung up.

About 40mins later, she called and asked if I'm close to her destination. (I guess she thought I carried the loads)
Haaaaa!! Close to where? I'm in VI now please, find a way to go carry your load and please don't try book a ride for it again, cos it's pure wickedness. And if you must book a ride, your fare shouldn't be less than 10k for those loads. Hung up the call.
Nigerian ladies generally don't appreciate time and they underprice transport fares.

Thing I have with these broke forming posh riders..... You use a service, then you start foot dragging when it's time to pay.

Even the LASG Brt buses, you pay ahead with the cowry card before boarding, No stupid excuse of "no network," "I have been debited" "my bank app is acting up".

I just marvel at them sometimes huh, Are you not aware you will be paying for the ride or what

Bolt has blocked them bad Riders , they are now using Uber that doesn't care....

So Bolt is weeding them out, am just surprised Uber has drastically changed for worse because of desperation to keep Riders.
VERY true Baba. Bolt is weeding them out. Broke ass riders who can't pay for their rides n start hiding under stupid transfer shyt.

Two weeks ago, Tuesday I think. I carried one like that. She did transfer, I didn't see alert, I reasoned since it's Ikeja GRA I dropped her, probably 8-5 person coming from work, I will get my alert. 24 hours later, I haven't seen alert
I called her on the app, the line she gave wasn't going thru.

48 hrs later, Thursday I haven't seen alert. I couldn't reach her again through the app.

On Friday, I shot Bolt a mail, excerpts from the mail "you shouldn't allow riders abscond with their fares, it punctures the credibility of the system".

30 minutes later, Bolt responded she has been blocked n I should get back to them in 7 days if she doesn't pay.

Do you know she sent me a msg with a new line.... Yada.. Yada.. I reported her n all that balder dash. I'm like oh.... You knew the transaction didn't fly, but you kept mute.

So you can even reach out to me since Tuesday. what's wrong with this one... Should I be the one chasing you to pay for a service I rendered.?

Is it a Nigerian thing or what, you used a service, you then expect me to start chasing you for a service you are supposed to pay for immediately, I don't get. huh, some will even say text me your details, I'm like are you OK?

It's not by force to use Bolt.

2 Mondays ago.

I was at olowora, magodo phase 1.
Request came in on Bolt 1.7 going to Alausa. Sharply I grin doubled down to PU. Picked madam we start journey

Along the line, madam phone rang.

Caller (new driver) : you requested for a ride
Madam: I have left, I got another ride.

Madam explain to me that she booked Uber. Uber man no gree go cos of traffic (if you are aware of the traffic around berger /olowora axis on Monday esp in dmorning. L)
I chook head grin cos it was on a 1.7 surge, traffic is not my worry.

My point is. Bolt was bullish in pricing, instead of losing a client, they still hijacked a rider from Uber. ( she noted Uber was more cheaper, but Bolt gets the job done in quick time)

The Uber driver cudnt embark on the trip cos it was a normal trip wtout surge. He later canceled and the trip went to the new driver that called.
I was ready to go cos it was on a 1.7, grin ( in fact trip ended around ₦3 500 or so). We spent over 1 hr 50 mins getting to Alausa.

My point: there are days in the week to be bullish and there are days to go on a bear mode.
