tunlapapa: Why can't they try when the model is already available on RIDA and INDRIVER. The only reason an app will try such model is when they lack dominance, and which they gained dominance here due to anyhow goes on Nigeria. Cos if they do, they are shortchanging their revenues. Most drivers can't accurately give a fair price for a trip. Coming to indriver. I'm really disappointed in their style, they are over a year in the biz, from a marketing standpoint, they should be contenders in the ehailing market space. Unfortunately, they are still bottom feeders. This is the time to be bullish. You don't have to set prices like Bolt. But don't go too low. |

Op. You should be thanking God for having great in laws. You have been accepted wholeheartedly into the family. You are a son in that family now. You are a very lucky man. Go home and and be the best husband to your wife. . you are a very lucky man. The Yorubas don't believe in putting burden on young couples. No one is going to ask you for money. You saw that in the bride price tag. Just symbolic.
No one is going to ask for unnecessary stuff all in the name of bride price. You are a very lucky man. |

If he is really supportive, he should pay the same amount into his son in-laws account to help set him up to his standard.

Heyyyy: Yes my major problem now is accommodation, this is just for the temporary, for like maximum 3 months.
However I'm thinking if I can have cheap guest house like 3k, then after all I will still be in good profit, is that possible? Not possible, you want to make profit after paying for hotel daily. No now.... Even the guys that make money don't stay in their homes for 7 hours cumulative. Cancel cheap guest house. The cheaper the accommodation, the more criminal elements you will battle with. Just imagine where a 3k guest house will be domiciled in Lagos. Go and ask those whose cars ( mirrors, brain box, electronic controls) have been harvested before. I can bet you. It's always rampant in the so called 'cheap areas' If you r adamant on Lagos, Look for someone that can give you a bed space, 1k daily (, though you will share facilities n it's with college students mostly) around Unilag, Abule oja side. |

Heyyyy: I want somewhere outside where I reside I heard Benin is not bad on Bolt. Why not drive for like 3 months over there, gather cash n. Save like 3k daily. That's like 250k. Then you can start planning to come over. Relocation takes funds o. You need 1. @ least a bed space to rest after d days hustle. 2. A compound to safely park your car. These things, as simple as they seem, will cost you in Lagos. |

INDUSTRIALFAN: I its same thing[s]… private owners ask you to remit weekly 35k, moove asks for 37k weekly and they service the car for you monthly. At the end of the day you own it. Same thing. For a serious driver its very doable. I do above 90k weekly so if i dol? 90k weekly and remit 37k tell me its bad It's not. Private owners, you get the options of doing Bolt and/or Uber, also offline trips. With Moove, you are stuck with Uber. Nobody monitors your hours or 55 trips. You could get an offline client that will use you for a week. |

I mean, the job comes with accommodation, in a city like Lagos, you get an employer that can sort out accommodation for you. Check hoses around radiator, especially at the harness points. are they leaking? C. Fans, are they blowing optimally. ThatNiccur: Safety is a naija issue currently, but to an extent, riders tend to perpetrate more crime on bolt than on Uber. Uber also takes the issue of safety seriously, compared to Bolt. Uber is interested in the situation and would always want to hear your side of the story. They want to know a convenient time to put across a call to you, they show genuine interest most of the time.
Income on Uber with the "weekly ride target to get a reduced commission" helps a lot, as this improves your earnings and also motivates you to keep up the hustle.
Surge on Uber might not be as regular as on Bolt but when it comes, it's usually worth it, compared to Bolt that's pegged at 1.9 and calculation isn't transparent. You can get a 2.4 multiplier on Uber and at the end of the trip, the breakdown is quite understandable.
Getting rides isn't as daunting as people make it sound. Riders are also usually well behaved. Chances of getting a toxic rider is slim. Rating is transparent and most riders know how to rate, being that the riders are more exposed and know how rating works, unlike some bolt riders that think 1star is the highest rating, thereby crashing a driver's rating, albeit unintentionally.
Etc... A. Safety The most recent loss, where the driver ( fela shrine /abule egba) was gruesomely murdered was on the Uber app. B. Surge/pricing The surge calculation on Bolt is very accurate. Those that hv issues should check their phone. For instance, some guys ordered rides to take their girls on a treat. Three of us.( drivers, same bolt app) Heading to Oniru Beach. Changed their mind to go to Alpha beach, they changed their mind again n resorted to a lounge in Phase 1. We all ended trips at the lounge in phase 1. The two fares were similar. But the fare of the third guy was way too low, the guy was complaining... I felt for him. But I checked his phone, it was one old palasa like that, I doubt the RAM will be up to 2GB. So it's not the app, but the device. C. Welfare. Don't tell me you fell for that corporate bullshit. , why won't they (Bolt and Uber) be interested in you. You are one of the footsoldiers they use in raking millions of naira weekly. It's akin to saying you are interested in the welfare of birds you feed daily. Before nko.... D. Trips. This can't be contested, trips are easier to get on Bolt than Uber. E. Riders. Yeah, riders on Uber are well behaved than Bolt. F. Earnings Bolt drivers earn way more than Uber. The biggest Weekly dashboard I have ever seen of 350,000 naira (week of Xmas 2020) was on Bolt. That's the MAIN reason why everybody is in this hustle... RABA , every other factor is of little or no significance. |
