MightySparrow: Dangerous thing to do. soon this good will can be tool in the hand of jihadists to destroy kind 'infidels' I also read some Christians distribute palliatives to certain Muslims to break fast in Abuja, good gesture gone crazy. While living in Lafia Nasarawa state, this ramadan period Muslims burgled christian provision shops to punish infidels. In the northern nigeria almajiri you helped with money ( they prefer food) will be the one to lead rioters to kill you or burn down the church that gives the community water from their borehole. I think this german kindness borders on stupidity. They ( the almajiris) were never Muslims in the sense of it, just herd mentality. They do what they see other people doing. No conviction of any sort. Infact, they are criminal elements perpetuating their acts under d guise of religion. BTW have you noticed,? that dese riots n looting of shops occur mostly in POOR environments.( des areas before time had always been a hotpot for criminals just looking for d rite avenue. Looting is also absent in decent areas ( where you also have Muslims n Christians too living together) So I wud say blame it on parental upbringing of those children n not religion In Germany, there is a clear delineation BTW Religion , STATE N CULTURE This is absent in Nigeria. We still view things thru d religious/cultural prisms. |

Bigleaf1006: Not a good idea, except you want to use it to augment your e hailing returns.
You can run early morning kabu kabu and late night,at least that can cover your fueling for ehailing.
Running kabu kabu during work hours with all this goverment dogs everywhere is a very risky venture and also the abuse your car will suffer isn't worth it. Very true bro. It is very risky wt all govt dogs all around. Even d work dey no send them. before pandemic, I see some uber guys around Ikeja under bridge directly opposite Ecobank. Last last na #100 fare and strange riders wahala you wan face ( bringing #1000 note for ride wey no pass #100.) you wan kill the car n urself for. Tops you get #400. databoy247: Nigeria has over 21 ports with Lagos alone having up to 5 seaports including Tin Can Island port and Apapa port. In fact, Apapa port accounts for more than 30% of all cargo shipments in all Nigerian seaports combined.
Most companies have domiciled their main offices and warehouses in Lagos because of access to some of the busiest ports in the country. It’s easier and more convenient to move goods imported to Nigeria straight to your warehouse right there in Lagos than the rest of the country.
This trend brought about more companies moving to Lagos and with it, more people. Now, everyone wants to relocate to Lagos because of a growing perception that there are more opportunities in Lagos than anywhere else in Nigeria.
I wouldn’t blame them. The Lagos state government has been known to attract investors and companies with friendly economic environments, policies, and access to more profitable private/public sector partnerships.
The result of this is an influx of population. Companies began fighting for dominance. After all, if you can dominate Lagos, you can probably dominate Nigeria.
The coast is fixed, the levels all clear, and the competition began. This created more room for real estate developers to “expand” Lagos which has also led to more and more people moving to Lagos.
Now, Lagos now has an estimated 21 million people (2016 estimates) making it the largest city in Africa.
Little wonder, every startup wants to be domiciled in Lagos. Every foreign company wishing to expand its global presence to Nigeria prefers Lagos.
But what startups and SMEs don’t know…
Firstly, Lagos has the highest number of micro-enterprises in Nigeria – 3,224,324 SMEs.
Secondly, in Lagos, over 70% of the population spend between 60 – 80% of their earnings on rents. The average salary in Lagos is between N50,000 – N250,000. This is less than $700 USD. And most of these income earners have the capacity to save no more than N20,000 monthly. They spend more trying to survive than purchase luxury. Despite the seemingly attractive large population, Lagos might not really produce the number of customers you think your business can get. It is just like an illusion.
Reasons why starting a business outside Lagos is more profitable
Despite the large population, Lagos state has a population with a not so impressive buying power (when it comes to the average Lagosian). So, as a small business, when you offer your services or products to the public, be rest assured there are over 100 other SMEs offering the exact same service to your target market a few kilometers from you.
Pricing is one key factor that greatly influences Nigerian SME. Most times, you are forced to keep reducing your price just to become the preferred choice for consumers. This is often because of excess competition. If you are outside Lagos, your chances of fighting a strong pricing war with competitors are pretty slim.
The cost of getting a business location is pretty high in Lagos. Getting a shop or an office in Lagos can actually be nerve-wracking. Because of the population influx, the real estate industry has been booming but at the cost of the rising population. Renting a decent shop or office might actually consume more than 50% of your business startup capital leaving you in a very uncomfortable position.
Personally, I’ll prefer starting a business outside Lagos where I don’t have to spend a killing in the setup process and initial customer acquisition. Then when I have stabilized a bit and started to generate recurring revenue, I can move to Lagos with full backing to face the competition and succeed.

doitforyou: Yes, no big deal in pouring water in their drinking cups but chastising you in front of his friend was tactless. Men that rebuke their SO in front of an audience do so to prove they’re in control of the relationship.
The telling you what your roles are as a woman, the use of his mother as a threat etc already gives you an idea of what kind of husband he will be, so it’s your choice.
To add, to avoid future disagreements you guys can follow a general etiquette. The one who cooks, sets the table and serves the food. The non cook clears the table and washes the dishes. @ op. If u limit the service to just nigeria sir, one can't break even...knowing very well that only few states in the country can afford such business for now..
The running cost for the app is huge, coupled with Tax and other levies, and then back office salaries and other form of adverts and endorsement.. I stand to be corrected It always seems impossible until someone cracks it. When Uber first came on board, they were feeling lyk dey were d best thing that ever happened since slice bread. Then Taxify entered n changed d narrative. So, when the next entrant comes., it won't really surprise me. Saying @ 20% a new firm won't break even. Remember during d advent of GSM. n mtn brought BOGOF n dey were charging per min. Meaning even if you called for 35 secs, you will b billed on a per min/ template. The day Glo launched, they started wt per second billing . The following day MTN took a backtrack n started billing its customers on a per second basis too. . So... it can b done... |

That's not how it works.
Since the dollar is d Commonly agreed base for international transactions.
The more dollars you can retain in the economy, the higher the value of your currency.
But look around you, does it look like we produce anything in this country.
A visit to computer village will give you a better insight. Almost 60-70% of the goods sold there are imported. With what? The dollar. So in essence, we bring in dollars, but we also push it out in form of Imports. |

Opay dt bought bikes wt deir own funds ( @ least market value @ 400,000 naira per bike) , bought helmets, suits , phones n co. were cashing out. A huge sinking fund. NoSidonLook: The church keeps leading from the front
Some people that have never done anything worthy of note even in their compound will still find one thing to say against the church. But it keeps marching on
Some will say Pastors and other religious leaders are waiting for cure from science before they can resume their business
Virus that started from science laboratory. Who else will provide cure if not science.
Did we hear it started from any religious place.
Others will say Religion is looking up to Science in this time. Science is leading
And I ask. Are these Scientist aliens Or don't you know their many 'religious' scientist around the world.
Even most of the men of old that fronted for science were religious men Isaac Newton Michael Faraday Gregor Mendel Galileo Galilee Al Quarismo (famous Arab scholar)
According to the great physicist and genius of the 20th century Albert Einstein, "Science without religion is Lame."
Atheism doesn't make you are smart. It's not by too much grammar.
Most men that change the world of science na religious men. Atheist na talk dem sabi I would rather say spiritual. A lot of highly revered scientists were monks. That's a tall order in our society. Religious but ZERO spirituality. |
