Jesus had a bodily resurrection from the dead. He said to them to touch him to show he was neither a spirit or an apparition. And they physically touched him to dispel any theory of hallucinations or visions. He also ate fish with them which a spirit wouldn’t do. He showed his wounds to them and to Thomas to feel too. That wasn’t a trance or a vision. “See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye behold me having. And when he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. And while they still disbelieved for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here anything to eat? And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish. And he took it, and ate before them.” Luke 24:39-43 ASV https://www.bible.com/12/luk.24.39-43.asv“For I delivered unto you first of all that which also I received: that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that he was buried; and that he hath been raised on the third day according to the scriptures; and that he appeared to Cephas; then to the twelve; then he appeared to above five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, but some are fallen asleep; then he appeared to James; then to all the apostles; and last of all, as to the child untimely born, he appeared to me also.” 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 ASV https://www.bible.com/12/1co.15.3-8.asv |

kingxsamz: Lol, you people can't stand 2hours of praise and worship, yet you want to go and slave yourself in heaven singing praise and worship through out, forever. Lol. Many Christians don't want to go to heaven and that's a fact. They wish they could die and be nonexistent. But they won't tell themselves the truth. A child could wish that tomorrow isn’t going to be Monday and a school day too. A staff who has queries to respond to on performance related issues will wish tomorrow won’t come and he/she won’t go to work. Those are good wishes. But the truth is that their wishes won’t prevent tomorrow from coming and won’t turn it not to be a Monday and a school or work day. So there is a diff between what anyone wishes to be true and what is actually true. Yes believers could get anxious about leaving church service after a while because while they are still here, they have other life cares that need to be taken care of and which demands their attention too as humans. In the new heaven and earth, those cares of life would be taken care of |

Differentiate: I was reading one Jehovah witness tract given to me one day and I came across a page illustrating how heaven looks like . to be frank I was impressed with what I saw . although no one has ever been to heaven before to give us feedback on how spacious and beautiful it is. But I guess what I read from the JW book was just to show us that heaven is far more beautiful than what we can ever imagine . same way our pastor once preached during a sermon that if God open our eye to see how heaven looks like ,we wont pray 1 seconds on earth . I believe we all read the Bible very well if I'm not wrong , and some of us read to understand I'm not talking about those that cram . so from your own bible reading knowledge can you give us an illustration of how heaven looks like. HAPPY LAST SUNDAY TO Y'ALL I PRAY WE WITNESS MORE & MORE OF IT ON EARTH........... The Bible has so much to say about the new heaven and the new earth in Isaiah, Revelations and in some of Jesus’ parables. What is within our control is to embrace the salvation God offers through Jesus Christ, live as Christ ambassadors here and then expect eternal life promised by God. |

gideonjeta: I am glad you believe in Bible prophecies. The same Bible does not say anything about evolution or apes turning to man. Genesis 2: 7 says Jehovah God form the man out of dust from the ground, and not from earlier animals. Also, Genesis 2:21,22 says Eve was formed, not from an animal, but with one of Adam's ribs as starting material. Thus, evolution did not happen in the past nor will it happen in future. That’s interesting. I believe everything in the Bible even though the Bible is one of the most difficult and complex books in the world. We cannot have all answers to our questions from the Bible until we meet Jesus face to face. We understand through the scriptures that God made all things, including humans. However how he made all things no one can say. Whether he made some species and allowed them to evolve over time, none can say. But the most important thing is that all origins are traced back to God. After all we do not know how many years exist between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. Possibly millions of years or just a few days in between those verses. The book of Job which is supposed to be the first book in the Bible tried to provide some details of creation account left out by Genesis. But then we still cannot grasp all the minute details. The problem humans have isn’t with evolution at micro level of organism. Evolution should simply be seen as changes and transformation. Our problem is with macroevolution claims in higher animals like humans, chimpanzees, elephants , whales etc. There are a lot of gaps that cannot explain how humans evolved from minute organisms. There is where the challenge comes from. |

cutecommend: Many people know the actually date they were born again. But for someone who don't know the actual date, but can remember the encounter, should we put such people aside?. Knowing the actual date of ones salvation is not a compulsory proof of salvation but it's essential . If I may ask? Those very uneducated people who got born again in the villages those early days, do they remember dates? or do they even know about dates? Someone may know the period he or she got born again, or may know the encounters and scenarios, but may not know the actual date. A proof of salvation is a change of life in which others can see the crystal clear evidence of Christ's nature in you....
If you are very sure you are saved, and can remember the year, month, scenarios and encounter, but cannot remember the actual date, don't think you are not saved if someone says you must compulsorily know the actual date.
Knowing the actual date of salvation is a very good job thing. It is good for references and accountability of ones progress in faith. But it is not a compulsory proof of salvation. The only compulsory proof of salvation is a clear change of ways; not doing the sinful things you did before; all by the enabling power of Jesus Christ in you after accepting Him.
Happy Sunday. It’s not biblical to force someone to lie about the specific date he repented. Some have dramatic experiences like Apostle Paul on the road to Damascus. Some don’t like Timothy who became an evangelist and whose the Bible recorded that his faith grew gradually from his mom and grand ma, Eunice and Lois. At what specific point did John the Baptist become a child of God? How about children born into godly homes who gradually learnt about Christ and grew gradually. They weren’t “hardcore” sinners and so can’t remember any dramatic experience aside from responding to an altar call. Yes they may remember the altar call day but that may not be the day God saved them from sin. “Wherefore leaving the doctrine of the first principles of Christ, let us press on unto perfection; not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, of the teaching of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit.” Hebrews 6:1-3 ASV https://www.bible.com/12/heb.6.1-3.asv“Of whom we have many things to say, and hard of interpretation, seeing ye are become dull of hearing. For when by reason of the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need again that some one teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid food. For every one that partaketh of milk is without experience of the word of righteousness; for he is a babe. But solid food is for fullgrown men, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.” Hebrews 5:11-14 ASV https://www.bible.com/12/heb.5.11-14.asv |

Omicron007: The Anambra gubernatorial election has been the talking point of Nigeria's politics for several months now. The polity has been heated due to the calibre of the contestants, the defection games and the threat of boycotting the election by IPOB.
There have been a lot of jamboree regarding the campaigns both online and offline.
The candidate of the Accord Party, Dr. Godwin Maduka however, stands out for me. The man is relatively new on the political scene but he managed to pull attention online. He received numerous awards from different bodies and he was constantly in the news. Our very own AlexxReports stood by him all through the campaign and his moniker was very active on this forum.
However, the election has come and gone, and results are trickling in from the nook and crannies of the state. From early results, Godwin Maduka has so far had an abyssmal performance.
What lessons can you learn from this man's story? Soludo and Maduka are two powerful candidates loved by their people. Problem I think is that both came to the stage at the same time just like Ronaldo and Messi always coming head to head. If Maduka can join forces with Soludo now, maybe he could have an agreement with Anambra people, continue his good works and perhaps recontest in 8 years time , ALL THINGS BEING EQUAL. |

Janeeee: Good evening guys.
I studied Biochemistry at the University and was recently employed in one of the banks in Nigeria. I'm not a contract staff so the pay is quite okay for entry level. Seeing the way most of my mates from school are still struggling to get jobs with our B.Sc Biochem certificate, I know for sure that I'm really lucky to be where I am because the job market in Nigeria is not favourable to my course at all.
Please anyone with prior experience, those that have been in my shoes before, how did you advance in your banking career? What courses can I take? What plans do I make? How many years will you advise I dedicate to different phases in this career?
Please I need as much tips as I can get. I'm really confused. I love my job and I want to grow but I don't know how to go about it seeing that I studied an entirely different course from what I do now.
Your responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance If in business development, get an MBA, a master’s in Biochem will not help you much in that line. Then add ACIB and ACCA/ ICAN. Those are more than enough as per paper qualification even to become an ED. But the real Mccoy is who you know that can help you mobilize huge deposit and good returns on contribution margin. That’s it. If you are in a non-business development unit, then pursue MBA and certifications in that line. And pray to God nothing like fraud you aren’t aware of , perhaps from your team members could sweep you out of the system . |
Politics › Re: APGA SHOULD BE GRATEFUL TO IPOB FOR ASSISTING THEM TO WIN THE CONCLUDED ELECTION by Nothingserious: 10:01pm On Nov 06, 2021 |
DeadCountry: Yes, IPOB's cancellation of the sit-at-home order was the reason why people came out to vote and gave the rightful winners, APGA the chance to win the election. IPOB saw the bad intentions of the fulani janjaweeed terrorists party, APC, and decided that an Igbo man must be at the helms of Anambra state affairs instead of a fulani born stooge, hence the reason to cancel the sit at home order.
APC was relying heavily on the IPOB's sit at home order to write numbers of their choice claiming to have won the election. The argument and emphasis would have been that people did not come out to vote. So APC would have dispatched their imported almajiris which we all saw in hundreds of buses to polling units where they will vote under the protection of the heavily armed terrorists in army and police uniforms.
No indigenous voter would have been around to scrutinize them and ask them where they come from because our people would have stayed at their various homes eating celebrating and "ofe nsala" than to come out and vote to validate further 4 years of poverty. IPOB just mesmerized the evil plans of the janjaweeed party called APC at the last minute. This is called the master chase game by IPOB. Strategize and secure our land first, and the pressure will continue for the release of MNK.
Any Uba and his fulani terrorist masters go be like, kaii!! IPOB don do us shegee. The IPOB last minute reversal was strategic and changed things for the better for APGA. The took the front seat instead of apathy and to think it came at the eleventh hour when all plans would have been perfected . Element of suprise that could enter the annals as a political strategy for study in the future. |
Politics › Re: Congratulations Chukwuma Soludo. by Nothingserious: 9:57pm On Nov 06, 2021 |
Should we say IPOB’s last minute reversals were strategic and a game changer in the scheme of things?
I will like to think that the cancellation of the sit at home order at the dying minute changed a lot of things. The outcome today would have been different if IPOB had made people stand aloof rather than come out to participate actively. |

shizzleStar: You are well informed. Your submission is near accurate
Only area left is the role some madams play in all of these.
There are instances were some nwaboys went awol or ran away from ogas house due to the wickedness and overbearing attitudes of their madam, they couldn't endure any longer so they had to pack out secretly and leave their ogas house even without touching or taking a single dime from ogas money.
I'm a witness to an incidence like that just about 2months ago. In this case, it was the 2 umu boy that ran away, the wife literarily pursued them.
The oga was gracious and honest enough to confirm that not even a Kobo of his money was missing
Some ogas are so weak that their wives more or less dictates how things are done in the shop or house, even when it's against their wish.
Their wives are more controlling, domineering, aggressive, insensitive as if they're the ones marrying the man. Sometimes they shout or maltreat umu boy even in the presence of the oga and the mumu man will be there without action or saying anything instead he'll just be looking like a castrated donkey Na waoooo. Some women and their wahala. Thanks for the enlightenment |

BlackfyreRebell: When after every oga no gree settle rather than settle the boy he's accusing him of stealing his money all those years he served.
This is one the of reasons no one wants to serve again.
Imagine wasting 10 to 12 years of your life at the end of the day you have nothing to show for it True to an extent. But sometimes the boys will steal Oga’s money or goods or even use their own accounts to receive payments meant for oga’s account. That’s against the codes of the trade. Some will open accounts secretly and hide away big phones that are permanently on silence mode. They use it at night without OGA’s knowledge. Some smarter ones open accounts for their relations and friends and stash money there that can never be traced by oga. Some open accounts with false names and save so much money. When they are settled with N2m, they go and do name change and become big boys overnight. Some Ogas also overdo the thing. They accuse you falsely around the 5th -7th year when you are due for settlement and send you back with nothing. Even if you stay, there will be a lot of mistrust. And to make matters worse, some will collect back all your SIM cards so you don’t ever contact their key customers and convert to your own. But trust the smart boys, they start writing down every phone number in books ahead of time. However a good number of Ogas had done well, settled their boys well, opened shops close to theirs for them, allow them still sleep in their houses for a while until they balance well, allow them come to their shop with customers and claim it is their second shop, offer credits to the boys who sell and refund later, and some even allow the boys use their company names as subsidiaries on their invoices and signage just to encourage them. Some of the boys treated well end up growing large and even supporting the old oga when OGA’s hand is no longer “financially strong”. |

Focusmind: Good fact! Nice observation. My father trained a lot of "Umu boy" then in his hey days at Onitsha. Mostly from Enugu and Abakiliki.
At the peak of my father's trading business in the 80' and early 90s, we had about seven of them in our house. All were settled and were doing relatively well. There is no more youth willing to learn trade or apprenticeship. Everybody wants the fast money. The "Nwa boy" or "Umu boy" apprenticeship system helped built and distributed wealth in the Igbo families and supported the great social mobility witnessed after the unfortunate civil war.
Families that were hitherto very poor, saw their situations changed because one of their sons has been settled by his "Oga" and is now doing very well in Onitsha or Lagos. Before you say jack, he has demolished his father's old hut house and erected a befitting structure. The neighbor, seeing what Mazi Okeke's son did, will encourage his Son and even pushed him higher to meet up with his mates. Healthy and sometimes, unhealthy competition and rivalry, bestrode the Igbo communities, especially in Anambra. You hit the nail on the head. Your little narration looked like I was reading a page off of Chinua Achebe’s or Chimamanda Adichie’s prose. Cheers |
