cococandy:
He was in a different hospital while all this was happening

A big system failure.
This you stated is the problem some people have with lots of private hospitals here in Naija, their doctors can be used around their branches or you have a consultant shuffling between hospitals, possibly because they can't pay one to be standby.

As stressful as general hospitals (at least in Lagos) are. There will always be a senior doctor in different specialties around, especially in pregnancy and delivery matters, you might not see them but if things want to get complicated you get to hear go and call Dr so so so.

I always tell people I know who want to have babies, if you are using a private hospital ensure it's of the highest standards, ensure they have a blood bank, Neonatal care - phototherapy, incubator, etc have qualified peeps around because things can go haywire and time will be crucial. If you can't guarantee that just jejely get to one maternal child care center in Lagos general hospitals and at least register.

Sometimes it's better you even register at a primary health center than some private hospitals here in this Lagos, because they have ambulances that can move to the nearest general.

The only problem is general hospitals can be stressful, antenatal is practically the whole day because of crowd sad

Then there are very standard private hospitals, the best of the best ehen those ones have it all.

The abscence of the doctors caused this brouhaha. It's so painful

Some Neighbour's are from hell, they test your patience to the very end. Thank God arms are not allowed in Naija, the rate at which neighbour's have issues over stuffs is alarming.

Once you have mastery over your emotions you conquer all.

Landlord vs tenant
Tenant vs tenant.

Why you price the whole market cos you wan buy one paint 🤦🏽‍♂️
My brother e reach to price am everywhere lool, last I bought the beans was 7500. I was even hoping the guy won't tell me 9k by the time I went back to his stall, true true the guy was like oloyin beans is now 9k sef but madam as my girl Don tell you price already buy your own. grin cheesy.
Drum beans for moimoi was 6500+ now just to buy beans you have spent 14k for 2 paint rubber if you buy 1 each.

Garri was 3,200,people can't even drink garri in peace again.
One bucket of Rodo was 5500 for the one that doesn't pepper well the bigger Rodo and 7500 for the one that pepper well.

Tomatoes lipsrsealed

I just wonder how very low income earners are surviving coz 50k can't get you much these days for food especially those with little children. If it's adults they will rough it but children they have to feed well, have to eat fruits, take milk, eat eggs etc etc. And people earn 50k monthly with wife and children.

Feeding money is crazy these days, just to buy few things here and there you have spent 70k not stocking the home oo, no major thing like bag of rice, the most annoying part is it's inside 2 bagco sacks the thing will full e go come be like film trick unlike when it's the boot of the car that will be filled with 70k.

So my brother e reach to price the whole market oo.

The good thing now is people are beginning to follow legal proceedings on issues like this instead of taking laws into their hands or letting some stuffs slide.

From the Erisco case to the Mercy chinwo baby matter to all others, after Nathaniel Bassey petitioned IGP all of them shut up. If you feel aggrieved or feel you have been defamed- Sue. And hypocritical Nigerians will call you out for going legally especially if you are a pastor or worship leader

Maybe Erisco shouldn't have gone the legal route but they have that right. Some companies would have just allowed breeze blow over.
Christianity Etc › Re: Mr Femi Jimoh Was Not Framed Up By Mfm He Was Caught In An Act by NoToPile:
Dejini:
Mr Femi was not sentenced but remanded in prison till his case was settled. According to Mr Femi's story, the title of the case says Lagos State versus Mr Femi. Is MFM representing Lagos State or MFM is now Lagos State?

Lawyer, you can attest to the fact that MFM rarely lose their litigation but this one is a shock to everyone. MFM not Lagos State claimed to have all their plans and 8 witnesses but still lost the case. How Sir?

It's okay to Isolate the Olukoya's from this but who is Gbadamosi? What is his history? Shouldn't he be investigated? How did he uncover the plans of these so called "armed robbers"? There is a reason MFM always pray that whatsoever is not planted in MFM should be uprooted. I pray God in heaven answers that prayer speedily!!!

Lawyer if you want to set the record straight, you have to be honest with yourself. How can they lose a case despite having all the evidences and more than 5 witnesses including a commissioner of police as claimed by Mr Femi in his story? It simply means those evidences were not compelling enough and nothing ties the suspect to those evidences aside witness words which the honorable court knows can be manipulated.

I will still reiterate, who is Gbadamosi? What is his relationship with MFM? Let's reference the date Mr Femi claimed he saw him in Ogbomoso with his calendar, who is his alibi?
Where was he(and the answer shouldn't be that he was at home) on that day?

Just imagine when Moses elected elders to help him oversee things with their discretion, should an Israelite come to report one of those elders to Moses directly, I wonder what will happen. Even his own family planned to ursurp him if not for God's intervention. Lawyer, you can defend the Olukoya's but please who is Gbadamosi? Even if his last name is Olukoya, he is not a family of Dr. Daniel Olukoya so who is he? Why are you defending him so hard? Why wasn't he investigated? No stone should be left unturned!!!!

May the Olukoya's (Dr Daniel and his family alone!!!) not be led astray by those regarded
as trusted allies/friends/family members.
Amen to your last paragraph.

From the man's video The Gbadamosi man was the CSO chief security officer of the church as at that time.

It's the same CSO he stated he met at a Babalawos place when he went to negotiate capentry dealings with the babalawos son who was roofing a branch and he begged him not to inform Dr Olukoya about where he saw him because he knows the consequence and now it's the Same man he claims set him up with the robbery matter possibly to silence him.

And On MFMs official side their own was simply a robbery attempt at the offerings of a major programme was foiled and the suspects rounded up and handed over to the police for prosecution which took years. And I think it was the DPP that handled the case.

But naturally even if he was set up by the CSO in order to take him off so he wouldn't snitch about where he saw him, now that the case has ended he's out it's not the CSO that will be dragged it is the church , the church and the G.O that will be dragged like they are being dragged now. And I don't think any organization Church or not won't have handed over such suspects to the police instead of taking laws into their hands.

Pastors always take the fall for wrong doings of their members and the church administration. So people have said a lot, dragged him, cursed him, his wife, family son, a whole lot of explectives. Well it comes with the job as a pastor, People will not and are not ready to isolate Dr Olukoya from the case especially those who have had something against the church.

Maybe, he was set up by CSO as he claimed only God knows the truth about that but if true, that CSO did him too bad just to cover up his own misdeed but then humans can be wicked and go any length to protect their interest.

Our judicial system needs to be worked on though 8years is to long for trial.

Nigerian cases always take too long in court, it's something that should be looked into and if no bail the person will be in prison for the whole period.

Even landmatters will drag and drag for years.

Crime should always be reported to the appropriate authorities, it's always good not to take laws into your own hands either as an individual oran organization.

If you live in the village a bit you will have an idea and most of those vegetables used are scare in Lasgidi.

I used to have marugbo leaf in my compound, the ondos majorly cook it.

I used to see amunututu everywhere in Lagos but can hardly see it now.

Not only the areas listed, other extreme ends of Lagos. e. g Ojo downwards are affected especially where theres constant light.

Good thing some landlords specifically tell agents not to rent their houses to them. You live as neighbour's with them one day they might land you in trouble with Nigerian police.

Other landlords don't care, na the highest bidder they want.

Properties › Re: Between Landlord And Tenant Who Should Repair A Faulty Pumping Machine? by NoToPile: 12:55pm On May 21, 2024
Some tenants do not manage properties well, my neighbor used to put on pumping macjine and go out, we were sharing prepaid then. If I am around I would be forced to put it off.One day my husband was back home and water was pouring and obviously it had been pouring for long from the amount of water on ground, he was so angry and the woman was not home.

She would say she forgot, few months after they moved in the landlord got another prepaid for them so we had a switch where we rotate pumping every week.

Would you believe that now when it is her turn, immediately the thing gets full like this she will put it off, Infact most times she doesn't let the tank get full, so the amnesia was selective simply because we were both using the meter and we would both take responsibility for the fees even when she wastes the light. I was like ehen? So the forgetfulness can disappear?

It is wickedness in my opinion, shey it's those category of people that misuse pumping machines landlord will repair for? What I know is if you are pumping and they take light you switch it off and switch it on back when light comes back, they will leave the thing like that.

A lot of Nigerians are like my neigbour, terrible attitude.

Anyway, anybody using the machine wither landlord or tenant should contribute in repairs. If you are paying service charge it's another thing entirely.

Christianity Etc › Re: How Many Offerings Does Your Church Collect During Sunday Service by NoToPile: 7:18pm On May 19, 2024
Once during the service.

On 2nd Sundays welfare offering for the needy is collected.

On 3rd Sundays or so, building offering is collected.

Some churches solve this by having a dedicated box for welfare of less privileged widows Etc.

Some also have dedicated permanent box for building offering.

We don't have such boxes so the 2 are collected once a month.

Now there are some other times offering is dropped

If there's a Thanksgiving you can drop an offering.

If someone is doing child dedication, some members of the congregation always want to drop an offering possibly to use as a point of contact. You can't deny them.

But the truth is you are never forced to give na, abi did they point a gun at your head?

I wouldn't say envy is the right word though for some married women.

As much as you love your husband and kids and they are the best things that happened to you.

There are times you just want some away time, some me time to do things you could do when you were single without any disturbance, sleep when you like, wake when you like etc etc. Now you just have to wait till the kids are grown enough.
