Rossippi:
How do you know that?

You are actually comparing the 2 and half year decimation of Biafra with the South Sudanese experience? You really must be a joker. Did 2 million South Sudanese die in under 3 years of starvation? There was never really a war in Sudan. It was always a low intensity guerrilla affair from the get go between two roughly equal parties, as far as I'm aware.

So why una surrender na? Groups that are as powerful as you claim to be do not have their leader fleeing to another country in the heat of battle, and do not face mass starvation, or waving white flags of surrender.

Making mouth after being comprehensively trounced on the battlefield is really comical.

Funny how you lot accuse Nigeria of genocide, yet when we outline the process a real genocide would have taken, you deny its possibility.

Clowns.
Biafrans died in large numbers because of starvation and blockade from all sides... Not because Nigeria had superior weapons or fighting.
Sudan could not blockade South Sudan cos South Sudan had sympathetic neighbors like Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia who supported them to the South!

Do you think Biafra would have had starvation casualties if Cameroon had supported them with food?

Foolish Hausa fulani people..... You are here trying to take the glory for a war you did not fight. ...

The man you actually quoted is more experienced than you in every facet of life.
The Southern sudanese do not have 1/4th of the Igbo population, they 100% landlocked (unlike Igbos who has sprinklets of Igboid tribes around the atlantic in Rivers, Delta etc) yet these south sudanese fought the Arabic-speaking Northern Sudanese and supporters of APC backed by Arab countries for 30 years through conventional and guerilla warfare.

They suffered starvation, hunger, death in millions, yet today they are still existent and most importantly free from the supporters of APC and you think Igbos can't duplicate such a feat if their very existence, lands etc is directly threatened with all their human capacity and intellectual resources, backed by a strong diaspora population? Do you know your 'gowon' soldiers died more in their numbers than Biafran soldiers? Go do your research.

Oga, stop lying to yourself. No man born of a woman can extinguish Ndigbo. The world knows this. You are still welcomed to try and see what happens if you want.
This is the truth.
But I think South Sudan got some huge support from neighbouring Kenya, Uganda & Ethiopia.

On their own, they couldn't have been able to battle the shamelessly arabized headslammers of North Sudan.

In my opinion, this was one huge mistake Ojukwu made... He would have at least gotten the support of one or 2 influential countries and world powers. At least like USSR.
What was he thinking of going to war without the backing of very influential countries when Britain was on the side of Nigeria?

Yujin:
The way you people reason is very shocking. I can clearly see the mountain of hatred in your heart against Igbos. The Spanish did not wipe out those indigenous Americans through open killings; it was systemic and it spanned decades to do such. Mind you that the Spanish had superior advantage over those scattered tribes. Nigeria can't/couldn't do quarter of that to Igbos. They might started and manage to kill a few hundred of thousands more but Ojukwu in Cote D'Ivoire would have got the necessary support from the reports that would come in and the tide turned against Nigeria. Nigeria wasn't manufacturing any ammunition not even a bullet. She depended entirely on the European powers which she would lose if they had attempted it. I know your hatred would allow you to reason up to that level. This was in the 70s and not in 19th century where you could get away with many things. The Germans had to use concentration camps to kill 6million Jews and this took them 5yrs to do. What was the population of Igbos at that time? Your reasoning has been blurred with hate. Wiping out whole population isn't easy as you may think.
I know what inspired you to bring up this foolish thread. You want us to reason like we owe Gowon our lives and therefore should be subservient to any thing dished to us in Nigeria. This is a very foolish thought pattern. The war we fought is a just one and we're unapologetic about it. If another war comes up millions will still die and no group will be wipe out even if Biafra wins because migration has ensured that the big ethnic groups have their people scattered in other countries.
Finally, Gowon still remain the criminal that he is. He renegaded on the agreement at Aburi and attacked Biafra. He wasn't ready to solve the problem until he has got the domination his fulani lords desired with the enabling of willing tools from your people. It's on record that all the willing tools attacked Biafra before Biafran soldiers ventured into their lands.
Go choke on your hatred. Biafra will come to your greatest sorrow.
Thank you very much for this comment.

@Rossippi...
I exactly do not know what you intend to gain from a very very stupid and useless post like this.
With all that is happening in Nigeria, you still decide to bring up such madness?

Let me clarify you on something.
I am from Plateau state. Where I come from is a neighbouring LGA to where Yakubu Gowon comes from.
My family are friends and relatives through marriage with Yakubu Gowon's family. My uncles died fighting that very useless, pointless and senseless war which I their descendant is very much ashamed of.

Nigeria is a very useless unworkable country which was never meant to exist in the first place.
You are here talking against Biafra, meanwhile many others like us from the Middlebelt, SS and even Yorubas are now seeing the need why we should key into Kanu's struggle or partner with him for the dissolution of this unholy union called Nigeria.

I don't know where you come from, but I am sure you are not from Plateau state, Benue or even anywhere around the Middlebelt.
Our people were the ones who fought that war, so I think if there is anyone who should boast or take pride in that war, it should be us.... But we will never do that because it was a big mistake with which we have apologized to the Igbo nation for.
The Hausa fulani core-north are the real enemies of everyone and not the Igbos.
They manipulated and deceived my own people into fighting that war for them and Yakuby Gowon who was born and bred in Hausa land and had a Hausa mentality was the perfect puppet to be used in order to win the support of middlebelters and northern Christians.

I thank God Yakubu Gowon is still alive, we the youths from his state and his region will soon come out to denounce him... Shameless old man.

I'm sure you are a Hausa fulani or a Yoruba Muslim or someone connected to the caliphate.
Better face a future of your own people and leave every pipe-dream of a united Nigeria or any history that comes with it cos it's just a matter of time till it all gets to the trash bin.

I am one of the leaders of a regional pressure group for my people and by the grace of God, this year or early next year, we are going to meet Nnamdi Kanu for a hand of friendship and partnership.
Several middlebelt leaders have already met with Nnamdi Kanu for a form of partnership, but they have never officialized it. ..My group is the one that will officialize it, and when we do this, we will come and meet with Niger Deltan leaders as fellow minorities to minorities and make them understand why we should all work together. ....

So keep basking in your foolishness until you get the shock of your life very soon.

May God almighty bless the Igbos and the Igbo nation....

Lol. Kano and Kaduna are far more urbanized and developed cities aside Ph and Lagos? How many state have you been to bro? What is the size of the developed part in Kano and Kaduna. I know kano and kaduna very well bro. Even Warri can stand Kaduna to some point bro.
I have been to majority of the states and cities in Nigeria. .... I love traveling! And I am the kind of person, If I visit a city for the first time, I will get a car and fuel it almost full tank just for a driver to take me round every nook and cranny of the city while I am on my Google map!
So, you are not just talking to anyone bro.

I know everywhere in Warri...I have lived there most of my life there ...
Warri is big no doubt, especially since Udu LGA and some part of Ughelli south & Okpe LGAs have merged with Warri south and Uvwie LGA.

Warri, Benin, Jos and Kaduna are all about the same size! .... Just that Kaduna murders the other 3 cities when it comes to development!
I lived and schooled in Benin for 7 years.

Only PH can withstand Kaduna in development, but I think PH is slightly larger than Kaduna in Landmass.
Kano is just something else when it comes to size abeg... The only thing is that Kano has too many poor and low income areas compared to Kaduna, but even the high income areas in Kano alone are almost bigger than all the other cities I mentioned above individually.

In the SE, Onitsha & Aba are the biggest cities, and they can compare Warri, Benin, Jos & Kaduna in size, but they are very very dirty, unkept and unorganised... Although, Onitsha is having a new look, I was impressed the last time I visited, compared to the way it was in the past. .... Owerri and Enugu are the sane ones but they are smaller in size.

@Movic1, Bro.... I am from Plateau state, lived most of my life in Delta state and to be honest, Kaduna & Kano cities are far more urbanized and developed than any cities in the entire south except for Lagos and perhaps PH.

In terms of Human capital, we all know the SE states are far ahead, due to higher education and a strong entrepreneural spirit.
Owerri & Enugu are beautiful SE cities, but they lack in size & commerce.
Kaduna is like Enugu and Onitsha put together or Aba and Owerri put together...

Northerners tend to invest everything in their state capitals and leave the interiors, unlike in the South where development is more evenly spread. Like Delta state where I grew up, where you have up to 6 cities/large towns within one state!

However, Kaduna is the only state in the north with 2 big cities within a state. Kaduna & Zaria.

Although, Kano is a very mighty city in size! It can swallow Enugu, Owerri, Aba & Onitsha altogether.

Every region has it's own unique development patterns.

I heard they created a local govt for Wase during IBB's time so they could carve a space for hausa/Fulani.
Also heard Wase is the only federal constituency with only one local govt and the present dep speaker of the HOR is from there.
Yes this is true.

It's so unfortunate that we middlebelt people have failed to see the Hausa-fulani evil handwriting on the wall since a long time ago!

Thank God for my Tarok brothers... They are the strongest tribe in Plateau state and they actually repelled and dealt with the fulanis in Wase LGA....

Openbusiness:
I foresaw and anticipated these protests by anti-government forces and Iranian citizens. The Ayatollah regime are in a deep hole now. The US SOS Pompeo and President Donald Trump have already tweeted in support of the protesters and promised backing, which obviously means funding (money, weapons, intel, CIA involvement and international pressure). The US also warned of serious consequences if the Iran government massacres the protesters like it did a short time ago. The more the protests continue, the more it grows, the more it grows, regime change is imminent and the Ayatollah reign ends. But if they crackdown on protesters and kill them, public sympathy grows, they will lose their public support base, and the entire country will turn against the Ayatollah regime, and "US funding" will start to happen, which eventually will lead to regime change. So either ways, regime change is imminent. The Ayatollah's regime will fall in a matter of time. A very big win for America, especially because Donald Trump and the US military think-tank pulled it off without a single American troop boot on ground in Iran. This is called Strategic Warfare at its finest. But over 10 years now our own military is still battling with Boko Haram, over N1 trillion naira spent, thousands of soldiers dead, billions of military equipment and hardware lost, and the enemy is still undefeated. Because they know nothing about strategic warfare, or maybe they do and Boko Haram is just their golden cash cow.
There will never be a regime change in Iran as long as Russia is alive as a country.
Iran is one of Russia's biggest Ally. If a regime change could never happen in Syria because of Russia, how much more Iran that is Russia's 'wife'.

No where in Nigeria went as low as 4°C.

Pankshin shares similar weather with Jos. Below are both towns current weather conditions.
That forecast for Pankshin is not correct. See one thing, weather forecasts normally do not take winds into consideration hence are known not to be precise. If a place is Windy, it makes the temperature lower and Pankshin is very windy and so foggy that people close to each other do not see themselves.
Well, I am very sure you have never experienced the weather first hand in all these places, if not you will not even argue about it. You can see that other people commenting from the first page have been saying the same thing about Mangu.

Any weather forecast claiming that Jos is colder than Pankshin or Mangu cannot be taken seriously. This is something that every single Plateau indigene or citizen will confirm to you.

The highest point on the Plateau is in Kuru town and that place is naturally supposed to be colder. It is very windy too. I just googled and it's showing same temperature with Jos, that is actually impossible in the real sense.

Point of correction, the lowest temperature ever recorded in Nigeria was 2°C in Yobe state, Google it. ....While the lowest in Jos was 3°C, I think sometime in the 80s...There are tales of that period and how so many of the newborn infants did not survive that year... I am from this place and was given firsthand info by my parents who experienced it.

I must warn u, it is not funny if u have never experienced it before. We have to boil water to wash plates cos if your hand touches cold water it starts feeling numb like it's freezing. As I am speaking to you, I am wearing 5 shirts and a sweater and I am even inside the house with all the windows locked. Dem nor born u well to sleep with your window open here.
It's even warmer now at 10°C low unlike last week when we experienced 7°C low.

If u want to experience the strongest cold bros, then pls go to Pankshin town 2 hours away from Jos... If u can survive that town, Europe will not be a problem cos that place is always at least 5° colder than Jos.

Jos gets as low as 7°C. I wear 5 shirts on top each other and a sweater inside the house and all the windows have been locked since ages. I still cover 2 blankets at night... It's crazy grin.

The coldest place in nigeria right now is about 11 degrees somewhere in Canada it is about -40 degrees.
Wrong! Jos & Kano went as low as 7°C....
Other rural parts of Plateau which are usually colder than Jos, ike Pankshin should have gotten to like 4°C.

Canadians usually have insulated houses and room warmers in their houses, Cars, Buses, Offices, Schools and Hospitals. ....We in Jos have nothing!

In pankshin precisely
Jos gets as low as 7°C at night, while at daytime it gets warmer because of the sunlight. But this warmth is only outside ooo, inside your house is still around like 11°C.
Pankshin should be around 4°C if Jos is at that temperature.
