Afam4eva:
It's the development between the towns that determines whether or not they'll become part of another town. What you have between Asaba and Ogwashi-ukwu and Ibusa are bushes. Asaba has not even fully developed let alone swallowing another town. It's a different case for Onitsha.

There isn't much development in all those little town Op listed like Abraka which is just a site for Delta state university and few tarred roads and fillinng stattion. Infact Umuoji is more developed than Ogwashi,Ibusa and Abraka. The only fully developed towns in Delta are Asaba and Warri. The rest are just emerging towns. However,in Anambra Nkpor,Obosi and Oba has developed on there own with huge tax yielding investments. Hence, they can't be lumped into Onitsha. And for your own safety never you dare reffer to these towns as greater Onitsha because their boy fit hang you oooo! Ekwusikwaa m'.

Shouldn't Oba and Nkpor be in greater Onitsha?

Then Ogwashi-Ukwu and Ibusa should be added to greater Asaba.

idumuose: I would like to know the state with the highest number of cities/towns
in Nigeria.

Don't come here and tell us that Umuoji(Anambra),Obior(Delta),Ewohimmi
(Edo),Zaranda(Bauchi),Mowe(Ogun),Akoko(Ondo) etc are cities when it is
obvious they are villages please.

Let me start with towns in Delta state.

1. Ughelli
2.Abraka.
3.Ogwashi-uku
4.Sapele
5.Warri
6.Agbor
7.Asaba
8 Ibusa(igbuzo)

By the way,how do you define a city because I'm seeing Ugheli,Ibusa,Ogwashi-Ukwu ,Abraka. These towns don't even have appreciateable developments.

Which God are you talking of? Why would you say the God you believe in is the same God GEJ and Adeboye also believe in. The way Adeboye worship his own God is quite different from how you & GEJ worship own God. You can speak for your self but not for others on this one, pastor Adeboye can not be serving the same God u are serving.

This is like a conversation with a blind man!

Fashola always stands tall any day. That's the difference between being a president and being presidential.

BTW, if you think Jonathan is meek by kneeling in front of the pastor, you're fooled. He's a deadly snake. He's just at that place to deceive and play on the sentiments of gullible Nigerians.

Let's be honest, you didn't hate the President because he is meek neither will you like his if he was stern and tough. Your hatred for the man is beyond his body language. Fashola can be all he want to be and you can believe anything you want but time is a teacher!

bokohalal:

Skeptical about your American claim because non -Edos call us Binis.
To oblige you.
Yam as pounded yam(ema) is used during worship of Gods such as Ogun or Olokun.
Cooked yam porridge, without any oil but spiced and with the sacrificed animal,is eaten at Ogun shrine. It is one of the most delicious foods on earth.
Whole or cut up yam is burnt and placed on Esu shrine.
To keep death away from a house, yam is cut up,cooked and then mashed with red palm oil and cowries and placed around the house.
Same with sacrifices to 'elders of the night'(eniwaren ason). The yam dish is placed at junctions close by. This is called 'izobo'.
The mashed yam earlier mentioned is called 'obobo'.
No other food crop is so used. Corn/maize is sometimes substituted for yam at Esu shrine.

But do you have yam deities, yam legends, yam chieftaincy titles? I wanna know how deep yam culture is in Benin. Like in Anambra,a huge yam barn is an evidence of wealth. A woman doesn't go into a barn and you can't go in there at night. We also have titles given to people for theeir success in yam farming, like Ezeoba, diji, okotalukwe, olua olie.

bokohalal: Some families lock up the bedroom of a deceased for sometime. It is believed that the deceased needs time to tidy up in private before departing for the other world. There are 'unsubstantiated' cases of people having headaches or having strange feelings when they barge into a just deceased room.
Note that the deceased is not in said room at this time.

We practice this in Idenmili. Infact, there are a lot of similarities between Benin culture and that of Idenmili.

Bokohala, talk a bit about marriage rite in Benin.

Singing Osita Osadebe's "Onu kwuli njo ga ekwu nma".

I have said it before and I will keep saying it, Obi is the best performing governor in Nigeria, for the past eight yrs. There has been recorded improvements in all sectors of the state economy. He has holistically worked all sector and is on the brink of achieving the millenium developmental goals. I encourage the flower planter to keep planting, painters keep painting and road sweepers keep sweeping while Omanbala builds the strongest economy in Nigeria.
Call Obi names and ridicule him all you want but there is nothing you can do to a person who God has blessed. People talk all the trash they they like during the election but Obi once again put shame in their faces. We know who are the true Omanbalas and their traits puts them off.

Op,your observation and extoling of Obi isn't needed. We know where you belong. Go to that Enugu thread and keep praising Chime for his flowering and painting skills. grin

....like seriously why would you look down on an Igbo woman married to a Yoruba man.
..so me as an Anambra lady way won marry one correct yoruba guy should hug a transformer or what..God dey! embarassed undecided lipsrsealed tongue

Do whatever you like but don't expect me to like it. Look up the divorce rate among the Yoruba. And be ready to welcome illegitimate children very soon. I know what it is; He is nice and has money, right ? And he treats you with so much respect, right ? Have you ever asked him why he didn't marry from the millions of single yoruba women, available ? Do you think yoruba people like you ? Let me spell it clear to you. The sufferings and marginalization of the Igbo in today Nigeria were initiated by the yoruba tribe. Like God told the Israelites,"marry amongst your people to avoid bringing in wicked and ungodly people. Marry a yoruba man and you will bring in snake into the Igbo house. You are a very weak and immoral woman that's why you find love in their hands.
Culture / Re: Why Do Yoruba Guys Marry Igbo Girls? by NRIPRIEST(m): 3:13am On Dec 23, 2013
Just got married to a stunning damsel from my Idenmili town and she calls me "Nnaa". Gives me goose bumps.

Now,if you must know I'm both emotionally and morally against any marriage involving Igbo and Yoruba. I believe it is more between yoruba guys and Igbo girls and we all know men are the one that go after women not the other way round. So,I wanna ask yoruba guys this; Is anything wrong with your women ? I heard they all have big a.ss like Omotola and Tolu Oniru but I still can't tell why you still fancy the "bearded","muscular" and "materialistic" Igbo women. Yes,leave those ugly Igbo women the mess alone. Face your women because I believe there are a lot of good qualities in them.

I look down on any Igbo woman married to a yoruba man.

I actually prefer the non Igbo in Edo,Delta and Ekoi groups.

Abagworo: Osebuluwa is God the creator of the world.Oselobue and Osanobua might mean thesame.Ose is God while Uwa is world.Orisabruwa is an Imo version. In this case Ose becomes Orisa.Someone from Imo will answer Orisakwe while Anambra is Olisakwe but both are shortened to Osakwe.

Dude,Imo never used Orisabruwa until it was introduced by the Onicha/Idenmili axis,as Osebuluwa. Infact, the term got to Imo through the catholic church. The term Osebuluwa is indiginous to Enuani and Onicha/Idenmili. Stop claiming people lects. Just like you once said Onicha are Isu people. You are so pathetic! Be proud of who you are for a minute. Stop attaching your self to Nri/Eri and his decendants.

Premodial Genius! Jonathan went to Oyo and right there infront of your elites, he labelled yall RASCALS!! You threatened fire, but he won the election thereafter. Then went to Enugu and told folks there that they are the engine room of his administration.., i bet he cant call any other group of Nigerians rascals in their face and get away with it except the 'sophisticated' ones. . That speaks volume in terms of who matters most when the chips are down.. Forming allsorts of laughably ungodly alliances with diferent species of desert iguanas seem to be filling you to the brim with a false sense of political importance... Let me spell it out in simple language for you; if you think that licking the fulani ass harder will rocket you to the top of political leadership in Nigeria anytime soon, then you are living in a fools paradise. That is raw 1970 politics bieng played in 2015. Shout all you want, the fact remains that you havent got what it takes to remove an incumbent. Ihejirika will show irritants pepper.Allign with Niger and chad if that makes you sleep well, just dont get over excited or over optimistic, this is not kiriji wars, it is not a premordial bow and arrow fight for a feudal throne., it is a 22nd century battle for the soul of Nigeria, the biggest concentration of blacks anywhere in the world. So? You may need to step up your game. . . For starters, from 2014, you will be FORCED through the national conference to take charge of your gorry lives. Your clannish politics has always been driven by an overaching desire to colloborate with some wild cultures in order to loo yournghours. This time you will be stoped in your tracks and forced to learn how to fend for yourselves.. Keep playing that SOPHISTICATED politics of teaming up with vandals to loot your neighbour while getting all surprised nd and rilled up when you are treated with scorn.
