I bear a Yoruba name, my parents are from Ogbomoso and I am a northerner because I am a Jos boy, born and bred. This doesn't mean I cannot hold my own with anyone who thinks northerners are illiterates.

Thing is, during my time in high school the best students in my class were all Nigerians. We never saw ourselves as Hausa, Igbo or Yoruba, just potential geniuses.

So those who keep spouting such bull, just think of this: your argument (rather lack of), is the same justification racists use in mistreating Africans.

Africans are dumb vs Hausa's are dumb.
Africans are stupid  vs Yoruba's are stupid.
Africans are savages vs Igbo's are savages.

Really guys, get real!!!  otherwise you are saying the same thing as the KKK, Cecil Rhodes etc.

All this support for Obama does not mean Kak! for Nigerians. Don't expect immigration to be less rigourous or a passive stance on money laundering. This endless cycle of aportioning blame and complaining without doing anything proactive is just what it is- complaining. If we had members of the youth service and some of our distinguished nairalanders taking time to correct the school's signboard, surely it would be of more benefit. Maybe I'm being an idealist.

I thought they did ok. It was never a shock, like most things in life you get a reward proportional to your investment. I think our ROI is like 60%.
