It is an hummer bus, nothing happenend to the other three tyres, i had just passed a corner (but it was not a sharp corner) i was at 40 to 55 after the corner on the sloppy road
the tyre was bought because of its popularity.
if it was on a balanced road, could i still av control on it at that speed?

lots of scenario can happen when a tire burst nobody can predetermine what will happen. just ensure you always pump tires to manufacturer recommended PSI, don't pump 50 or 60

The reason i asked was that i was involved in an accident
it was on a sloppy road it happened
the vehicle somersaulted and rolled twice or thrice by the side
it was when the vehicle was towed that i discovered that the new tyre at the back caused it.
first the vehicle swerved to the left then right and again until it somersaulted
i made sure i did not step on the brake and i can remember the steering was straight
Viewing the tyre, it looks swollen but it was a new tyre

Whether you depress the brake or not, a tire burst is highly dangerous. Yours happened at the rear which you don't have steering control of, also the speed the vehicle was during the burst also determine whether you will experience roll over or not. The vehicle also looks like a truck with high ground clearance so prone to roll over.
Always ensure vulcanizer maintain recommended tire PSI to avoid burst.

I use a camry 2007 muscle, Automatic gear 13 pin

i change the gear oil last year August and couple of week ago i observed the little delay in the change of gear, i took it to a mechanic 3 days ago so he can service it which he did, he change the gear filter and also put gear oil. on that day immediately i drive the car and about to go up a hill it will delay and the car will be making a hell of noise, i took it back to him and he also drove it which he told me that i shoul keep on using it like that that it will go back to normal.
the next day which is 2 days ago i took it to ikeja from ikorodu and on coming back it will keep on raising and very slow to change gear, i manage it home and on getting home trying to reverse to park well, it will not move but it go forward, i have to put it in neutral and told my brother to push it before i can park. i called on the gear master that did the service the following day to come check it and he said the leather is bad that it will cost me 70,000 naria to fix it.
so i came here to read other people experience on gear and i found out that all gear have a specific oil which is written in the gauge i saw something like WS which the gear master use mobil ATF 220 in the servicing.

Please kindly advice on what to do next

continue managing it and prepare to buy a new gear, Mobil 220 ATF is dextron 2 you poured nonsense inside the gear.

but before anything buy Toyota WS and replace the Mobil and see if there is an improvement

not that particular year, just 2nd generation 99-03 had a sensitive gear.

the year he is picking is ok, it's rear because of it's basic shape and Acura has always had rear presence on our roads.

N15 is 1995-2000

N16 is 2001-2006

it's been long I saw an advert of a tokunbo N15 but N16 is between 600k upwards as tokunbo but not more than 1.2m depending on how clean and what hand drive it currently is.

Anybody who can comfortably cough out 7m plus in this era wouldn't have issues with maintenance, I will recommend a C class if you don't stay in Lagos, Abuja, Rivers, kano and you are married and have only 1 wife.

If you are married and you are through with child birth then an E350 is good enough to spoil yourself and it isn't that common compared to C class.

If you are still young and wanna feel the thrill of missed teen hood then an AMG variant of the E class would do I am assuming you have a substitute vehicle to put the Benz in a Once in a while joy ride category

You didn't put a year but on a general breakdown

Maintenance wise the E350 is a trouble free vehicle due to its quality control and testing before been pushed into the market, the major cons here is the price of replacement part as luxurious vehicles are generally expensive to maintain and with the inclusion of special parts failure interval could be frequent.

Ruggedness The E350 is a salon car, not the brightest for off-road experience but strong enough to take on potholes and uneven roads, the under carriage is well padded for protection against knock from rocks and road scrapping. As long as you don't hit potholes at very high-speed and drive it above the recommended limit it won't fail to deliver.

Fuel consumption, the E350 has a base engine of V6 accompanied by a 3.5L, it is a mid performance Engine of the Eseries the fuel economy won't be friendly in city driving but would ease the wallet for highway driving.

Spare parts are always available for the Benz both in tokunbo form and brand-new but it won't be cheap but can be moderate depending on model year and where it's been sourced from.

In general an E class is a well built master piece and Benz are known for their hardened parts in very rough roads but an E class is an Executive luxurious vehicle, someone intending to buy more recent models should organize their financial capability before purchase to avoid constant parking due to repair cost

Almera N15 reliable fuel efficient good engine.

Almera N16 reliable fuel efficient, body falls apart easily. saloon version scarce, hatchback mostly popular. Be careful most are converted since they generally import it from Europe.

next generation Almera after N16 is ok, engine not as sturdy as it's predecessor (doesn't like abuse) body design ok doesn't fall apart but deshapes easily at slight touch.

cheapest place to get Almera at affordable price is Ogun state

I have this problem with my Hijet truck(small truck) not starting. There is no scanning port in the vehicle for diagnosis. The mechanics said the problem is the CPU commonly known as brainbox in Nigerian parlance. After several attempts to start the vehicle with other brainbox of the similar type there is no success. The mechanics said that unless a brainbox with exactly the same number is used the vehicle will not start and I have been searching for the said brainbox with the same number but to no avail. from what I can deduce from your several spam write ups the car was working fine before it stopped working. You also said the car revs but doesn't come on, I am guessing you meant car cranks (makes the starting sound) but it never starts, my guess isn't the brainbox but more of fuel pump.

now what you will do is open your own fresh thread, then explain what was done on the car a week before this wahala started then if possible let me know the type of engine the car is carrying or snap the engine let's try to diagnose it together and show your mechanic/rewire what to do

How can we make money from your research? since we know there is a problem we can device a solution and make money from it. Am thinking

1. compiling the research into a business plan and selling to an entrepreneur

2. opening a YouTube for AC diagnosis for Nigerians promoting it and getting paid from subscribers.

3. Start a small AC diagnosis and fixing workshop we can do it Saturday and Sundays get 3 clients per week, they pay 5k for diagnosis and up to 30k for fixing (refill and leakage), we don't need to do the job we can outsource to kazeem (cheaper labour cost) we just monitor and direct them.

Having waited for years being optimistic about my stolen vehicle and praying the vehicle is found, all the waiting became a waste.

This i can say that the Nigeria Police isn't to be relied upon.

I officially write off the vehicle and move on praying i get get another one which i do not know when.

If your next buy is a Toyota ensure you install a tracker or comprehensive insurance but my advice to people is to always avoid small popular Toyota vehicles and look to other brands that are less prone to stealing.

The Nigerian police isn't at fault but the whole system as a whole is faulty. In developed countries they have a dedicated emergency line, they have CCTV footage of where vehicle was last seen and a quick patrol unit that can use the information to trace the car speedily. What's more you can sue someone for $100 in small claims court fully paid by tax payers money this has reduced scam/crime rate. I hope naija will get there soon

2. Depending on extent of damage, transmission would take a severe beating and changing or rebuilding components.

That particular model year wasn't known to have gear problem compared to the predecessor but my first check would still be a thorough inspection of the gear and gearing systems.

I doubt if the VCM in that model year too had a factory defect since it's Acura I guess not, most complaints we're associated with Hondas not Acura of same engine and year.

Next is to have it in mind that the Acura was tuned to perform and it does so by utilizing every available chance it gets to burn fuel don't expect fuelling her to come cheap.

Bros, its easy to do that math. When you go through the repair process, you will end up with almost 20k. 2 months later, you will have a smoking engine making so much noise and sucking engine oil.

I have been there done all that. I got the 2 gens advertised above after such processes countless of times.

I did mine last year that's why I can still remember the price and the piston size and the generator is a workaholic sometimes 8hrs non stop, it doesn't smoke.
As long as he changes those parts and they are the real deal he is good to go.

Also those jumia and konga generator one needs to be careful, the Elemax I bought since 2009 is still functioning and it was 35k brand-new it was a China clone but quality

The engine of my generator an ELEPAQ/2.9kva got knocked due to negligence.

Please advise as my generator repairman is giving me four options:

1. To repair the knocked engine - 15,000
2. Replace the engine - 20,000 (according to him may likely smoke in a week)
3. Replace the engine - 31000 (according to him a better option)
4. Replace the engine - 45000 (according to him the best option)

I want to work on the engine - Is that a mistake?

your engine knocked and what would spoil is

1. Your piston and the housing is gone

2. the OHV housing (that is where two metals and some springs are) I don't know the name of those things.

The complete piston and case housing is 8k for confirm, the OHV metals are around 2500 naira cause they would have broken the piston cylinder.

That's 10500, you will need fresh oil that's all.

He should go to the market with the piston and engine block so the piston he buys fits well into the new block or if the old block is still good, he would probably buy 1.5 piston and then sand paper it to fit nicely into the block and your generator is back online.
