Just buy the 2, then we enjoy it 2geda, when you get bored of 1 we switch. But I will be the owner of the IS while you will be rightful owner of the E90 bros for life |
Jbleenk:Excerpt from NL car talk The 06 E90s are not same as the 07s and above. The 2.5lL was still available for the 06. Also the 330i. Both were discontinued after 06. Some and most still share the engine parts with the E46. From 07 onwards, its a diff ball game entirely. 06 e90s are lil less expensive to maintain. The E90 has been touted as one car that gives headache to its users. A tokunbi isn't trouble free not to talk of a naija used. BMW should be bought for passion I think you will be safer with an E46 |
I have a working follow come screen 8k |
Bigsteveg:Yes the 07 had transmission issues, in 2013 and 14 it was over nairaland but the wahala Don reduce. 07 and 08 had the 2.4L i4 while the 2010 has 2.5L i4. I think you are better off with the 2.5L i4 2009 upwards. |
HeavenlyBang:The 3.0t started in 2016 along side the other engine line up but was only fitted in 2 trims premium tech and sports. I believe this Q50 has up to 6 trims or more. That 3.0 is enticing and is the best among the rest, better torque, better 0-60 (4.5), offcourse a better handling and performance due to its trim level and the AI AWD system. |

barnaby04:WASHING of engine has nothing to do with anything he probably doesn't want your friend to wash it so incase the engine develops fault, the supplier can replace it without attributing engine wash to the engine failure. Or saying the washed isn't what he supplied. Let your friend leave the engine like that but utilise it well by testing it b4 the guarantee date expires. Then he can rather clean the engine with diesel and brush + foam manually for a sparkling feel and less damage that water might cause |
Stillthebest:The engine is a KA20 dirt cheap, it is easier, stressless, economical to your pocket and health to replace the engine rather than rebuild in Nigeria. Besides it's an Honda engine just watch out and ensure the engine doesn't short oil too much that can lead it to knock, that engine in that state can last 2years like that this is Honda engine not Toyota. |
Stillthebest:continue using your 20w50 mineral oil until engine packs up or smoke becomes unbearable and embarrassing. using full synthetic 5wxx can aggravate the situation already on ground stay away from the recommended oil till you change the engine to a direct tokunbo. |
Stillthebest:engine manufacturer says use 5w20 engine oil Your sister used palm oil (AZ 20w50) The oil is not designed for that engine protection Due to non protection rubber seals in engine get worn out at alarming rate Engine oil sips through weak seals to wrong areas hence involved in combustion rather than lubrication. Seals would continue to worn put eventually leading to starvation of engine of lubricating oil finally engine knocks and component destroyed. The end, Fiendi, Ciao |
Stillthebest:your car is burning oil evident when you depress accelerator. you may not notice but if someone keeps pedal depressed at 3000rpm check the tail pipe and you did see faint smoke. Your internal seals are damaged, switch back to your 20w50 and start saving for a new engine also ensure to change regularly to avoid sludge. |
afoxy17:black oil = engine oil pink/wine colour = power steering oil wash under the car with diesel or petrol let it be neat, give next day the culprit seal would reveal itself |
if the temp gauge is just going up then you have wrong ECU installed. if the car is really overheating check thermostat if stuck closed radiator if clocked blocked etc water pump if faulty Gasket if badly done etc |
Sportwin:I am not a car dealer but check out this vehicles you can get a functional one with your budget Peugeot 206 and 306 Honda civic Us or Europe 2005 below kia picanto and Rio 2006 below Nissan micra, sentra, almera, sunny, primera 2003 below Toyota corolla, avensis, carina E, corona 2001 below Lexus ES, IS 2000 below tuff luck ![]() Honda/Acura Legend EL, CL, RL 2000 below |
Vcent50:I told you to check their site, bidding is always ongoing and refreshed every week or 2 weeks. I hope you are not hoping to bid for Range rovers and expensive vehicles? Also you need a registered business name with TIN number to register in the site. you should be bidding for cheap cars like golf and mazda and go immediately to claim your goods of you won. leave expensive cars you don't have the leg for that. custom only auction vehicles online not through their agent or staff be warned |
Vcent50:register at the custom website to bid you pay 1k a non refundable fee for that bidding period. now check the auction vehicles and pick a vehicle to bid for ensure you know the command code, don't go and big for vehicles in other states that are far away. the best time to bid is between 1minutes to 2minutes when the time will end just use like 5k to win the last bider and the vehicle is yours you will receive an email for your winning then you take it up from there. have extra 50k for 1. towing vehicle 2. pumping tires 3. bribe 4. gate pass cause gate man sef nah king goodluck |
Benz + Renault + mitsubishi+ isuzu = Nissan platform this new alliance is good for the VW Amarok I hope it won't affect the Ford ranger which is in a comfortable reliability rating |
Rogosa:not necessarily servicing, but that sea horse would have degraded change oil and let another mechanic give you a working diagnosis. my guess is the engine is weak |
Rogosa:Is the car manual or auto? What oil brand and name did you use to service b4? |
Do you hear a kpom kpom sound when it moves from gear 1, then also when you open the bonnet at idle do you also hear kpa kpa kpa sound, listen well and revert? |
you want to buy a naija used E90, you must have a lot of money you have no use for goodluck |
zsch:I don't have anything against it though but if you intend to buy read the below thread https://www.nairaland.com/3780922/please-2004-kia-sorento-bad |
They are both reliable they also have same engine the 2.4 variant, though the avensis has a 2.0 too while the previa has a stand alone 3.0 V6. The previa is bigger. Both come in auto and manual and mostly converted so ensure conversion was done right |
seunoj:Yes available call or whatsapp 07064912184 for the deal |
seunoj:Yes it is still available call or msg me 07064912184 for the deal |
A won chemistry student .... ![]() The simple thing and most appropriate would have been ethanol and converting it to its petrol derivative of ethene. How do you go about it CASSAVa abundant in Nigeria. You just utilise the haber-bosch process to get your gas and condense it which can be locally fabricated at a token. |
akindayo12:15k is alot of money do come up a bit more. |
teelord1:It is 95% corolla in order words starting from 03 upwards toyota corrolla = toyota matrix = pontiac vibe, body is different and some minute parts. buy the matrix as long as the specimen you are buying is in good condition. Do a VIN check first then pay a qualified technician or go along with your kazeem but ensure you make him a juicy offer so the devil does not win him over ![]() This is a car comparison thread not a car review thread go and buy the car it is good for price go to autos on NL and compare prices or check olx use the search parameters and compare results |
olumide4christ:NA is natural aspirated engine, no Turbo/super chargers no electric motors it's a plain old normal engine. There was a plastic pump issue my neighbour faced when his temp gauge was always on the high side, took a week to source and also diagnose the issues. With the parameters you listed the civic has an edge except ground clearance. I don't see why people compare 2 different entities One is a salon car one is an SUV, before buying a car there are some priorities you must list out that comes first which will decide what vehicle to pick. The civic is a small fuel efficient reliable knock about vehicle able to deliver between 6-8L/100km. The XC90 is more of an offroader type of vehicle big with cargo space and reliable 8-11L/100km. its your choice. |
Abdomox:All base Rx don't have Nav screen, while high trims have Nav screen as the Nav is an optional gadget with some added juicy offers which are actually functions and can't easily be identified even from pix but read up on the link below https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lexus_RX |
Twonaira1:Not as problematic as the successor. I have seen an upbeat sienna looking like a it was involved in a monster truck bash and the power door was still functioning optimally I was baffled. |
olumide4christ:The volvo XC90 is a very reliable vehicle, among the volvo I like and cherish and it has a luxurious feel, hidden Nav screen, 3rd row in some and study and we'll built. Its not the kind of car danfos touches and parts start falling it is a solid vehicle. The gas mpg am seeing through the engine lineup is fair 8L-11L/100km though a tad slow in 0-62mph 11 secs haba ![]() don't buy the T6 fitted engine. Buy the T5, NA I6 or the V8. in terms of part, there are parts though some parts can be cumbersome to source, it doesn't have electric issues, 100ah rated battery please, good ground clearance. I don't know whether it's fun to drive never driven it on highway though only city. |
