Guess your engine is 4 cylinder 2azfe which is know for oil burn.

Either you switch to 20w50 engine oil or change to new piston rings and valve stem seals using original parts.

Both 4runner and pilot are quite on the heavy side, i feel the 4runner is heavier being a truck frame

In 2006 honda added a J35 engine with VCM for the FWD variant which shuts down 3 cylinders on light loads. But the early VCMs were very problematic. Avoid any VCM honda engine from 2006 to 2012.

SR20DE has a circular coils for the plug, while the QG18DE has like a rectangular coils.

Pix 1 and 2 is the SR20DE

Pix 3 is the QG18DE could be black or silver in colour as I found out.

The pilot is good sha from the days of joint venture with Isuzu 1998 to 2002 to honda standalone 2003 upwards. The only disadvantage I see is fuel economy, pilot is a 7/8 seater V6 engine, if you don't need all that space.and engine power, buy a CRV instead

Micra is the almighty fuel saver the question is can it fit the children and their luggage?

Both vehicles are distinct if micra can fit ur daily load capacity then buy but the Tino with its 1.8L engine isn't bad on fuel economy

Somebody should pls help me,about a litre of water was found at the basement of my fuel tank 3days ago. Before then I had been having issues with my acceleration. It stopped its ability to move up the speed ladder in correspondence to my acceleration, thereby causing me issues. All these while,water had damaged my fuel pump,and it was using force to work. Now I am back to gambling with fuel pump.got one from an igbo shop,the car starts and shuts down immediately,called 3 diff mechanics ,they all said its fuel pump. I then replaced the emergency pump I had,and it did work well for like an hour,after which it will start vibrating the engine ,low idle speed ,almost coming to a stall. I went back to the sho and he gave me another one,with guarantee that If it doesn't work,he will love to see my car. Pls what is the price of original fuel pump. I have bought more than 6,they are all like fake,would work perfect for 3 months,then pack up after.

You have changed 6 fuel pump and same issue, shouldn't that tell you your problem isn't fuel pump?

I have adviced you to sell the vehicle and buy something less complicated. Get a good mechanic, scan vehicle first and treat codes related to your issues.

1.8L petrol engine is fitted with 4spd automatic transmission.

1.8L petrol plus hybrid power incorporated is fitted with a CVT transmission

2.0L petrol engine is fitted with CVT transmission

Best to avoid nissan CVT of those.years

Why would you sell a nigeria used camry you bought for 5300 dolar (, clearing inclusiv) that you have for for 3year for 4300 usd?

1. Car price is not a function of years the car is used but rather the condition the vehicle is currently in. Reason why a 2008 camry used for 1year won't have same price across board even if both had same accessories and same specs.

2. Naija used prices have gone up because inflation has occured. It would cost more to get tokunbo of replacement of what one is selling reason why prices too have to go up. What you bought for $1000 2 years ago has appreciated in value because of inflation.

3 demand and supply basic economics rule the more the demand, the more the cost price

4. Leave toyota buy Renault they are far cheaper and reliable too

Besides, i figured the issues, it was the turbo engine that causing the smoke not the car engine

Turbo charged engines are very sensitive.

1. Did you use Mobil 1 original extended performance 5w30 oil?

2. When turbo is faulty they don't work on it, new unit should be bought and replaced I learned this from VOLVO and VW

3. Those 2011 hyundai and their GDI and turbo engines especially the NA ones aren't very reliable especially when they land in naija with our low quality fuel and I'll trained specialist. But I understand no be everybody wan drive toyota.

No go buy one with CVT so you won't cry tomorrow. Manual transmission is the best for this vehicle especially if nah for transportation.
