Last sunday which was palm Sunday, we had a little task to perform in my church. The church chose 3 cars to transport members to the location where the task was to be performed. The cars they chose were highlander 2009(mine), one lexus es330 and one Acura MDX.

Everyone got into the cars and the little journey began. I was ahead while the lexus guy was behind me... We left the acura man in church. I noticed the lexus guy was inviting me for a race when he suddenly overtook me, turned on his music to a very high volume and wind up his Windows. The momment he passed, he turned on his hazard lights and zoomed off. I chuckled and to my people to fasten their belts cos the man was trying to ridicule my ride. I then began by playing Yinka Ayefele....

I changed the gear to the S-drive mode and then fired. In no time I caught up with him. I followed him for a few seconds then I overtook him. I looked at my meter and saw 170kmph reading.... I looked behind and saw him some distance away. In a minute, he caught up with me but remained behind me till we got our destination. As I alighted, his passengers ran to my passengers to complain about him and they said they were going to follow me back. My people were speechless cos of What they experienced in my car. I saw some of them praying while I was moving....
2 mins later the acura man arrived.

Powertrain
With its lower torque, the Lexus IS 350 doesn't do as good a job transmitting power to its wheels as the Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

For that year bracket a C300 would beat a IS250.

2020 my work requires you learn to ride Okada I still be learner. My new Okada never ready nah so my colleague give me one aprokah bike to be managing, decending down a hill, the brake flat pata pata, it was all this red soil.and rain had drenched it and super slippery, the rear wheels slipped, bike faced a gully by the side, I dropped both legs, braced for impact , front went in first, rear followed while still on the bike, slammed my right leg in the gully, okada crushed my leg against the road sha, i left the okada in the gully, limped home and told my workers to go get the okada. I was wearing safety sha reason I didn't break my legs or head.

Nah next day I know say something happened, felt pain for 2 weeks. Now I be mini expert, if brake fail for bike nah to jump off with my 2 left legs raised like Lui Kang no time and I don't speed pass 100km now on Okada

Dear Lexus family , I use a Lexus RX 350 2012 model. Some weeks back on the highway, the alarm went off with message “transmission fluid temperature high” something like that . The gear master says it’s the gear oil that needs to be changed but people are warning against that, saying Lexus oil doesn’t need to be changed . Has anyone experienced this how did you solve it . Thank you

From lexus forum 2010 to 2015 RX350 has a sealed transmission you aren't supposed to change the transmission fluid but

1. Some suggested changing it at 100k km but check the condition any color deviation from Pink then there is no crime changing it. Once it's out of warranty you know you are on ur own

2. When the vehicle is used for towing, it should be changed at 60k miles.

Yes the transmission has a drain and fill plug at the top of the transmission which can be accessed from under the vehicle after the plastic protection covers have been removed, a dealer device is used to change it while using a laser guide device to check the temp of the transmission with the vehicle in on position.

For DIY (which ur kazeem would probably follow) he unbolts the plus and replace exactly the amount he put using toyota WS fluid nothing more.

From the temp error, scan vehicle first, clear codes and drive if error doesn't come back, no slipping in gear and transmission fluid is pink, please leave changing of the fluid and enjoy your vehicle.

Thanks so much for your contribution. I got one more question though, can any of the removed fuses/ relays cause my car to be consuming power even when it’s turned off?? As it stands now, I’ve used two new batteries in less than six months. I’ve had the alternator metered and it charges pretty well but i guess something keeps consuming power in my vehicle even when it’s turned off and the key is not in the ignition. I can’t leave my car for a day without using it.. it won’t start the next day. On weekends i removed the battery cables to avoid monday morning wahala.
This was exactly what made me change my battery the first time now the second one too is going bad. I once removed the battery cable for three days and the engine started at the first crank the day after. If i left the cable on, battery would have been dead

No, those missing fuses are not the cause.

You have a parasitic drain you either have to look back at what electrical gadget that was recently connected to the vehicle.

If non, then a good rewire that knows how to trace electrical installation should do the job, he will trace each fuse and component to know which is still drawing power after switching ignition off.

None is better than the other, enter both, take a test drive and feel their interior it would enable you pick your choice. For naija used mostly the one that is in good condition would likely be your pick as you may not have choice of waiting long

Good day everyone,
I checked the fuse and relay box in the engine compartment of my toyota camry 2008 2AZ-FE CE trim and I noticed the following fuses were missing :
-RR fog
-FR def
- AM 2
-IG 2
-STR lock
- S Horn
- A/F
- Mayday/ Tel
The following relays were also missing :
-ST CUT
- IG 2 ( i.e both IG 2 relay and fuse are not in use)
I couldn’t find the relay port for VSC 1 and 2 even though they were included in the fuse box chart ( i figured those ones weren’t applicable to my vehicle coz I couldn’t find any vsc button or vsc indicator on the instrument cluster.)
My question now is, were these fuses and relays removed on purpose ??
PS: I did some research and found that ST CUT relay disconnects starter motor from the battery if it’s too low to power the vehicle so i can understand why that was removed.
I also found out Mayday/Tel fuse is for SOS purposes which would most likely not be needed in a country like Nigeria.

Your trim is CE those fuse aren't there because those functions are not shipped with CE. Except something is amis though then you can say the fuse was removed for a reason.

Also check those fuse space if empty (plastic only no metal copper clipping) then you know the car doesn't need those functions.

Bosses in the house please does the Toyota Highlander 2008-2013 (2nd gen) have any factory defect? I always see them parked by the road on highways.

They are parked because owner is eating by the roadside or even urinating. But the are very reliable workhorse.

12 to 13 came with metallic oil cooler lines so ensure if you aren't buying that year bracket check the cooler lines, if its rubber change to metal if you can. For the V6 engines

The other factory defect is fan switching on by itself even when ignition is off reported here on NL.

IS350 is good and fast buy if you see a good specimen.

C class aren't expensive to maintain if you buy good one.

Tokunbo or naija used cars are still used cars with a degree of wear and tear, maintenance of former owner would be the determining factor whether it's a good buy or not.

Nothing like lexus 300, the only 300 we know is the Spartans

The benz C300 is okay all round not the fastest in its class sha but averagely reliable.

The sonata 2014 with those GDI engines aren't the most popular cars around because of the engine technology, not very friendly to our fuel type, low quality engine oil and then scarse technical knowhow.

For your budget tell us what you like and we can advice on what yo watch out for and what to buy.

I meant Honda accord 2011-2012

dont buy a 2.0L variant engine, the 2.4L for accord is better. try and avoid all those V6 with VCM also, the earlier VCM tech were not really reliable. For me the Honda is bae in interior design to Camry. But anyone you lay your hands on is equally good overall

No issue but not good on gas. If buying 2006 to 2011 model years ensure the radiator bypass was done to save guard the transmission.
