I have a budget of 5.5 - 5.8m and while i don't fancy nigerian used cars, i know my budget cannot get me the venza or RX but i may likely get the Honda.
I am a sedan guy mostly and i still prefer sedan but my new area road is just manageable and not great hence these choices.
I like having plentythings to press in a car

Cross tour is not bigger than accord interms of ground clearance because its actually accord wagon. People tend to shy away because of the VCM in the V6 engine. But the 4 cylinder is okay.

The venza I don't see a correlation between its features and price point, its tad too expensive for its available options even among competition but nah toyota make am sha.

The RX is a beauty to behold, has good features but also an expensive option to buy.

But for bad roads, the RX would do fine and better than the rest. The crosstour would do fine too as long as the under doesn't scrap the ground and not a flooded area. But interms OF SOLID PARTS, my brother I know honda trumps toyota, their shocks, steering, bushings and all suspension parts of honda always last bad road or not. In essence look at the honda CRV and see whether you like it.

After hustling and buzzling in Kaduna ... I decided to head down south to Uyo , Akwa ibom to meet my people for the Christmas holidays..

A family friend came over and we went out to pick somebody at the Victor attah international airport... since her flight was to land by 7 :15pm ( ibom air)

I don't really know the names of most roads in Uyo so pardon me

We were using a Crysler 300 but I don't know the engine displacement..


We started off from IBB avenue through Aka road to
Udo udoma avenue....

He decided to refuel at the NNPC mega station along the airport road....

As we were fueling ...a 2003 Toyota Corolla was behind us ...and a neat blue Peugeot 504 bestline in also branched to Fill up.. I didn't see who drove it because it had a little tint and it's glasses were Up.....

Paid the attendant and we zoomed off every body knows the 300 is a very fast car!!

The road leading to the airport was very wide ...smooth and OMG !...
He floored the 300 to about 110kmhr cause I was sitting in front ..enjoy some jamz with its AC...

Then I now pictured the corolla we had left ... In the wing mirror well... I lost interest and we were chatting..
The next moment the corolla disappeared and was replaced with the Peugeot... It was catching up fast

My guy noticed as it was horning to overtake and a Kia cerato was Infront of us..

120km/h is a very safe speed at highway for a vehicle in good condition. I don't see why a 40years car in good condition shouldn't humble you, even a 1.5L i4 engine would do 140km/h easily.

The major difference between different vehicles has to do with acceleration and top speed which is determined by several factors a manufacturer incorporates in the said vehicle.

A Bugatti doing 200km/h can be left behind by a lexus IS350 running at 220km/h

Do you actually think I have driven all those vehicles I give advice of? I may have owned a couple of them but definitely not all of them. Best advice comes from user experience which can be neighbours, friends, colleagues, siblings, acquaintances.

I have a Volvo XC90. I noticed that my engine oil is leaking. There's always drops of oil on the ground whenever I park. So I monitored it and noticed that the oil only drops when I drive the car and of course engine will become hot. When I park, after that day, the oil won't drop again. I had to change where I parked to observe this. If the car parks for one week without moving, there won't be any drop of oil on the ground but once the engine is on for at least 30mins, or I drive around for some time, I'll notice a good drop of oil when I park. So I just want to have an idea of where that oil leakage could be coming from before I engage mechanic.

How are you sure it is engine oil? It could be power steering fluid sef because it would only pump when engine is on just a guess.

Get 1 or 2litres of diesel, a brush of small size, on sunday, wear boxers, singlet and eye glasses and devote 2 hours of your time to wash the engine sparkling clean with the diesel and brush.

After cleaning, start vehicle and survey around engine area to know the leaking point. That will tell you what you need to fix or change to stop the oil leak.

Or

Pay a technician to find the leak but ensure he is right to avoid spending or opening engine unnecessarily.

So my 2015 ford ranger 2x4 developed some issues on my way back from a trip.
Suddenly,the power dropped and started rough idling immediately,only for me to check the back and saw a great deal of white smoke coming out the exhaust.
Initially I thought the fuel pump was the reason,but no.
First of all,oil dey enter the plugs dey soak them.
Secondly ,the rings got bad,oil finds It's way to the combustion chamber,a piston got damaged that wounded the engine block too.
So my concern is ,will the engine come back to normal when all of this is replaced?
Is it worth putting the money in or I should just take that useless car to an open field and torch it?
I gave the job to a guy who took it as a contract and is the one to provide parts and labour,will only pay after repairs are done.
I hate this kind thing like mad.

That engine is not known to be faulty even on 20w50 oil. Except yours is the turbo engine.

Before the fuel scarcity this road is always on traffic every week days in the morning and the evening, but the fuel scarcity has made things change that people find it difficult to access taxi and the road seems quiet.

It's not something one can easily let go like that, if he had a comprehensive insurance though, they would have done the legwork for him
