Pls is there any major difference between honda civic 2006-2010?

I know there are different versions, DX , EX ,LE.

There are 3 types of 06 to 10 civic, Asian, International and Europe versions.

For model years no difference 2006 Asian civic is same as 2008, 2009 and 2010 Asian civic. Nah year of manufacture different.

For the trim their or slight differences in accessories like radio, Nav, engine, leather seat, manual/auto window etc.

DX is basic trim
LX is above basic
EX is small luxury join
EX-L is the highest luxury

There are some limited production trims too that always have different engine from the other trims like Civic Si and type R.

Asian comes into naija as brand new units

American/international comes as tokunbo

Europe comes as tokunbo too, very rare most civic used by Sahara oil is Europe type.

Most of the parts are interchangeable shocks, springs some engine and transmission.

Oil was also dropping from under the car

Your camry is fitted with 2gr and those engines always experience oil cooler line rupture. Your oil leak location is also where it is located. Let them check it and dont start the car till you can confirm it isn't engine oil spillage to forestall expensive repairs

Both are suitable and no much difference in terms of reliability.

Corolla nah robber and vandals magnet. The civic a bit old but would be cheaper in overall maintenance

I love the pontiac vibe more but got to know it uses the same 2az-fe engine as Camry 07-09 that burns oil.
Secondly i heard the car parts is very difficult to come by.

I like honda evil spirit too(2008) but i heard they are plauged with leg issues.

Car gurus in the house kindly help me choose either of these 2 cars to go for as a first time car owner.

Pontiac vibe has 2zr engine. The GT trim with AWD was fitted with 2az. But better to buy matrix because of cost of body parts, buy base models.

Buy ES if fuel economy isnt a major concern

Good reliable vehicle. I believe the V6 engine requires premium fuel. Regular fuel may cause decreased performance and may affect the catalyst.

As a first timer, a Mercedes benz G63 V12 biturbo 2021 with bullet proof is a very good first timer vehicle.

Just cost around 350million naira.

A slightly accidented 2009 toyota Corolla.
Engine 100%
AC working
Interior okay but dusty.
Chassis intact

Just buy and repair enjoy, its uber ready

Normally a compatible oil filter should come in same height and identical dimensions.

But there can always be some differences based on same engine nomenclature but slight differences eg a honda K20 looks identical to a K24 engine. If the oil filter fits then definitely it would work without hassle oil filter isnt about dimension but function.

My own take.

You forgot to add the is trim EX and it's a 4wD variant. Happy sales

Go to jiji and NL autos and compare. But prices aren't same, price depends on year and trim

2004, 2005 and 2006 with the 3.3L V6 engine. LE or CE trim with 8 sitting space sells more than the 7 seater one.

Also they are more affordable than the earlier years due to the situation of the country

It is not prone to any issue. It is as reliable as any Toyota can be

Reliable vehicle but has very sensitive gear. Ensure you scan the gear for error codes or from the drive, if the gear is faulty you will know.

3.3m would get you a clean TOKS 2010 honda element FWD or AWD it comes with a 2.4L engine and would give you 10L/100km highway or 12L/100km city driving. Full tank from reserve is 7500 about 46L of fuel.

If you dont like the boring boxy design buy a CRV you should be able to afford the 07 upwards.

You cannot get a 2010 rav4 or highlander for such price as Toyota is overpriced.

1) I have been driving for a year and half
2) I have a good eye sight
3) I didn't have a reason to drive so late in the night until yesterday.
4) My car's headlight is okay

Here is my plight ;
I lost track of time at a party yesterday, I was driving fine until I got on the high way. I could not position myself on my lane, I occasionally swerved and almost collided with oncoming vehicles. The headlights of the oncoming cars confused me , also I lost my sense of judgement . Although I managed to arrive home safely without getting involved in a crash , I was so scared yesterday.
For those who drive regularly at night, how do you cope with the different headlights on the highway? How do you see perfectly? Kindly help a guyman

For night driving in nigeria I

1. Make it a habit of following a vehicle I can keep up with, I utilize the tail light to know when to brake and when to evade.

2. When alone I always keep to extreme right and bend when the high beam is too much it enables me reposition my self for unknown circumstances.

3. For an highway I dont frequent regularly I dont exceed 50km/h, it enables me to maintain control even when I enter big bumps or potholes then gives me time to survey checkpoints ahead if nah police dey abi nah UGM, bandits, kidnappers, Robbers etc so i can quicky dodge or run enter bush and hide

It's not just you, most times na experience person dey use drive for night, and with these crazy full lights people install this days it can get difficult for some to drive at night. Things you can do, Avoid driving at night, if you have to, drive slowly, focus and follow the tail light of car Infront it helps. You can also get UV glasses that helps one drive at night.

If you dont switch on full light on naija highway, how do you expect to see deep potholes in time to avade?

Hello guys, I've been wondering why Nigerian Mechanics find it extremely difficult to fix a 13 pin Gearbox. Most of them will either advise you to rebuild it to 10 pin or get a new 13 pin Gearbox. It really baffles me! Experts your opinions

No training given to personnel so fixing is majorly a trial and error thing.

Equipment to fix said fault is mostly nonexistent in Nigeria.

Most gearbox part comes in kits and expensive, also the parts have manufacturers stats and default modes which most technicians have no access to.

Buy a used gear from an accidental vehicle is more financially feasible than buying China kits for untrained technicians

I hope you are aware of the radiator by pass needed for the transmission cooler of this pathfinder.

Use your VIN to check if it has been done for that unit else you will experience a rupture which would damage your transmission. An expensive fix.

Yes same 2azfe you can either opt for the V6 engine or buy 09 upwards with 2.5L 2ar engine or buy a CRV instead just as reliable as a rav4

i bought a new engine for my Toyota Camry 2008 model, serviced it with Total Qwartz 5000 , i have done about 1,200 only to check the oil this morning and its at half of the guage mark. What's the cause please, is it from the oil or the engine please?

If oil isn't leaking, then engine is burning oil sometimes only evident during throttling.

Ask someone to help by starting vehicle, leave gear in P or N, then throttle the car and let the rpm remain at 2.5 to 3k while you watch the exhaust for release of smoke.

But the quartz 5000 get as it be, I also use it in my car and after prolonged travel the oil shorts if the throttle test is negative change oil brand and observe b4 we declare the engine non-grata

Please do you have anybody's contact who sells honda city CVT fluid? I just bought another transmission and the engineer would mount it on Saturday,so i want to make sure i deal with the recommended fluid this time around. That stuff is expensive compared to it's counterparts. I can't be wasting money like this. Imagine,something i changed in February,now i have changed it again.
