Hi, I am having a serious problem with my mazda premacy. I bought the car (foreign used) in February. It seems the car has a lot of rust in it, cos I've worked a lot to fix that. The mechanic wanted to change the plugs but they had rusted so he had to remove the top cylinder first before using heat to remove and change the plugs. The day after his work, someone went out with the car and in the process, experienced a crancking sound like a friction between metals... the person continued with the car, the car stopped and wouldn't move. That's the situation uptil now, the car has refused to start. He tried changing a sensor, but it's not picking. Please what could be the issue? Thank you.

physical inspection is the only diagnosis. metal fillings could have been lodged in engine when the plug was been removed.
he should first check the engine by moving the driving pulley if there is resistance engine has kpafuka, but if all is well next is to try spark/fuel/Air and see what is going on there.

yes the V6 RAV4 moves I can attest to that

yes there is a difference in gear box cost i4 is 4spd while V6 is 5spd but I have never known rav4 to have gear problem.

the only special problem you will face is almost general to Toyota shock quality. but as advice focus on Fwd not 4wd

Good evening, I have been having sleepless night deciding what car to buy between 2005 Infiniti fx35 and 2005 BMW 745i. I love both cars. I drove both cars while inspecting them on Thursday. I love the BMW more, but the electrical parts are expensive though the mechanical parts (underneath) are same price with the fx35 if not cheaper self, but what if the electrical parts fail at the wrong time ?
Then, I want a car any mechanic can repair, I don't want to start looking for one BMW mechanical jor. Then I don't like the radiator wahala of BMW, I meant the way they bleed it when adding coolant. What if my girlfriend wants to add coolant I am not ready for any complex system, I want peace of mind. A side of my heart is telling me to buy the fx35 if I cherish my peace, the other side is saying go for the BMW 745i and enjoy a highly tech ride that's capable of making me go bankrupt. The road to my church is not tarred, I am aware the fx35 is not an "offroader" but the ground clearance is enough for me. Sorry for the epistle, I am just confused!

I can't verify the electrical issues, I have only driven it once but my boss has never complained or work on the ML350 before, though he takes very good care of his cars. just be aware that the rear axle/suspension parts cost a bit so replace the fluid in timely intervals.

Air shocks 300k do you realize how much # to $ is? Anyway the airshock isn't something that spoils every fortnight, it may be years or less, depends on what speed you take enter pothole for okokomaiko

What are your views about this in terms of maintenance and durability and some other parameters in not sure of now.

I prefer the ML350 because it has a better review than the GL450 which is a full size luxurious SUV fitted with air suspension.

The ML350 is very cute for 5 sitting, plush leather, premium navigation and audio system. Indash engine report for any abnormalities, soft steering and very good steering angle, would take U-turn precisely in tight corners, good cargo space and a cute design am talking about 06 upwards.

The GL is premium in everything, 7 to 8 seater would be good for a very large family but be careful to buy one with good air shocks cause replacement is quite on the high side

No.1 no, there is no difference, addition to the es350 was in 2010 model year upwards

leave the turbo because

1. turbos are engine oil sensitive

2. transportation is stressful on engines, it may reduce the lifespan of the turbo. you won't want to add turbo changing to regular maintenance.

The carry isn't big, but better for cargo hauling because of the engine capacity and rear axle size

I bought a car from a car dealer in Abuja earlier this year. He gave me the necessary documents of the original owner and a 'Vehicle sales agreement' as receipt for the purchase.
The car documents expired last year.
I did not do change of ownership because I did not have enough funds left (big mistake).
Now I want to sell the car and everyone is asking to know if the car is in my name.
So my question is, can I sell the car without doing change of ownership? (Since I do not have enough funds to process change of ownership at the moment).
If yes, what documents should I demand from the car dealer so that I can sell the car without issues.

You can sell a car or buy a car that is not in your name, it isn't a big deal. I have bought several cars that are not in seller/dealers names and I have sold a car that wasn't even in my name.

1. Every vehicle requires genuine documents to be on the road and registered with an individual, all you have to do is call the number on the original documents to confirm the sale authorization

look for the name online and contact the owner or

put the name, plate number and VIN online to retrieve any stolen information about the vehicle.

2. I drive cars that are not registered in my name and if police ask me I always tell them it's mine I just haven't changed the ownership details because of time. I have only had issues with this once when I was stopped at 4am wee time I bailed out with 200 naira

There is a difference in functionality and a few accessories addition. 03 to 05 same, 06 to 07 same. Better to buy the 06 or 07 the additional functionality are worth it from my experience

The simple answer is reliability and quantity. 8 in every 10 cars are Toyota, 4 in every 10 Toyota is camry.

There are more Camry for sale can be due to two things

1. The vehicle is very bad

2. owners want to upgrade.

The answer is number 2, people are tired of Camry 07-12 and they want to upgrade so generally you will have more Camry for sale both naija used and tokunbo because they sold alot of volumes during their time.

But there are actually more 03 to 07 Corolla forsale than Camry.

When UBER cast, there would be more Civic, matrix and Corolla awaiting buyers.

Thanks. I have only used Mobil 1/5w30 as that is what is written on the cap. Had to drain and refill prematurely so I want a much cheaper option even if another oil grade. High mileage engine.
If the engine will take, I want to change to a local oil.
@nurey, is the MRS oil full synthetic ? Also what is this sleeve filter that you use?

The MRS is full synthetic I have been using it for 7years plus on several vehicles and no complaint. I don't understand sleeve filter is it a brand of oil filter or what? But when changing engine oil, you are required to replace the oil filter too.
