Read up and let your mechanic follow those procedure if and only if you don't experience drivability issues like loss of power, rattling of engine etc. replace the dot with the sign

The xtrail is actually a very good suv, the challenge here is getting the right technician and mechanics.

N.B: So far the issue has being resolved. I had the vehicle scanned and it gave a P0340 error, cam shaft position sensor as I presumed. The one purchased by the technician I contacted was bad that is why it didn't work when we inserted into the vehicle. What we did was to clean the place where then sensor, and it worked instantly. Although I am still skeptical about my sensor because when I started the car this morning it wasn't idling well. I plan to have it serviced asap and also get a new sensor.

Please what kind of oil would you guys recommend for an xtrail suv 2005. I will keep you guys posted as events unfolds.

my advice to you is to get a brand new sensor if from radautos or order from AliExpress especially if it is made with plastic because the next werey the sensor go do, last last you go tow that car home.

I think you mean P0333 knock sensor 2 bank 2 is faulty. physical inspection of the behavior of the vehicle in question (drivability and sound of the engine) would enable the technician to know what to tackle.

So look for a technician that can interprete scan results to working diagnosis.

You can get the patrol if you know someone that works in international NGOs and they want to auction the truth of the matter is to even get a specimen nah wahala because the patrol doesn't die and it uses same part as the Armada, Pathfinder and Titan so part is readily available.

You can buy brand new Hyundai in Nigeria or you can buy anywhere else in the world but better to containerize it and ship it rather than airlift. Shipping via sea is far cheaper.

I hope the Hyundai in question is a Genesis. I don't think the factory would let you in, any customization should be done online at their site or the respondent passed onto Hyundai through a registered dealer.

Even if you get to the factory and request for customization, they would refer you to a dealer who would then take your specs and handle finished product to you.

As for Air freight nah only super rare cars get transported that way, am talking of cars worth millions of dollars not your regular Rolls Royce or Bentley but high grade special order variants of Rolls Royce, saleen, Bugatti etc.

Also NCS would bill you eeehhh, them go build new refinery ontop your head's as custom fees except maybe you are a cousin to the Cabals

there is no standard price for that, but you can add something to it and buy your own personal scanner though maybe limited in function but would pickup the most basic error codes needed.

if it's possible to bargain the price do and let them give you the codes and interpretation as stated by the machine.

that car had serious gear problem, i cant even explain the disgrace that car gave to me. Before the ford if there is anything called gear i dont know because it doesnt give me problem. The painful part was counting 120k plus to buy gear box and auxiliary and the gear still giving me issues. Also not counting the fact that it consumes more fuel than a v8 engine.

I have 2 Corolla at home same generation, 1 gives trouble regularly the other has been peaceful throughout.

from my research the peaceful one is from Canada and it's a clean title, the troublesome one is from US and salvaged. if I didn't know who and only bought the troublesome one won't I demonize corolla?

You had a bad experience with something doesn't make it bad. The same explorer you are afraid of I know people who use it and are happy and the truck variant (Explorer sport Trac) was personally used by a family friend for 5 years

Ford vehicles are strong and reliable the explorer is only dieing because consumers have moved away from SUV to CUV and I can tell you the Escape and Edge are doing well here.

True i dont own a ford explorer but i have driven a navigator for 4 years plus and both vehicles came from same manufacturer.

your own case is special. Ford explorer has always been reliable since the days of it's predecessor Ford bronco.

There is no maggic there same engine in the Ford as the Ranger, F150, E-series what's more the Explorer is one of the best selling SUVs in NA

It's a solid vehicle if bought as tokunbo but please don't buy any V6 less than 2002 but more safer if you buy 4.6L V8 fitted explorer

Please my elders and automobile gurus in the house. Please urgently assist with solution to my Nissan xtrail suv. It suddenly developed a strange issue of not starting when cold or in the morning. This vehicle was bought toks 3 months ago and was driving fine until this sudden issue. After through research on the internet, I gave a technician cash to purchase a cam position sensor which we changed but still the vehicle keeps cranking without starting.
I need assistance as this issue is driving me crazy

The QR2.5 is not actually known for cam and crankshaft sensor wahala.

start by checking the NATS, then Spark and fuel pump. Then start by scanning and work with codes.

Mostly when diagnosing those two sensors, always check the wire and ensure it hasn't split in-between

The outlander isn't known for gear issues though. I believe they use an in-house CVT, Mitsubishi is not a small company in mechanics

.In buying car/suv, sometimes one considers Nigeria factors- pocket, location, mech & parts' availability. Some also consider resale value and fueling.

4 cylinder (I4) will use lesser fuel depending on engine capacity. Most auto technicians can also handle this. The V6 or higher will give you more power and consume more fuel. It's very good for people with long distance journeys.

If you asked me to pick among the 3 above, I will certainly go with Lexus Rx 330, though a V6; most of the above have V6, except you're choosing Highlander or 4Runner I4.

ps: the Outlander, just like RAV4, CR-V, has I4 trim but some with CVT transmission from 2006.

03-09 4runner never had a 4cylinder engine except you are talking about diesel engines which I doubt it was either V6 or V8.

The outlander had been offering CVT transmission throughout it's generation, CVT is not a bad tech or death sentence in vehicles.
