KingKingKing:Though I don't support pulling out of a contract because "agreement is agreement, " he did not lose in that move. He won everything in Chelsea and also added additional trophy (Europa cup), which he wouldn't have won in Manchester United, within the period. Playing till now shows that Chelsea did not kill his career as you and many others have posited here. 1 Like |
Sports / Re: VAR During Nigeria Vs Argentina Match: Worldwide Reactions by Nwanna2588: 8:46am On Jun 27, 2018 |
No matter how you look at it, the referee will have his conscience pricking him for not awarding that penalty. The question I have for all those supporting the referee's decision is should it have been so if a Nigerian player was the one that is involved. Any cursory observation of the referee's decision will demonstrate that he'd have not wasted time to award a penalty if the Argentine's were the ones complaining. If you endeavour to conceal the evidence of your crime, you will look even guiltier. What about the Iheanacho's scenario in the first half. Even as he started to writhe on the ground, the referee refused to do the needful. Was it not the remote cause of the penalty he awarded to us in the second half? While I accept that our players missed some of their chances, dishonesty in officiating is one foible I cannot tolerate. I have watched matches on many occasions and I have seen similar scenario that earned some teams penalty. Not visiting the VAR room would have vindicated him but going there to see it has exposed him. 2 Likes |
Career / Re: 5 Common Mistakes Graduates Make After Graduation That Hurts Their Success by Nwanna2588: 12:56pm On Jun 25, 2018 |
The poster is on point whilst missing one thing: the catch 22 factor. A fresh graduate is looking for a job and he's asked to go and get an experience. In this case, he's looking for who to employ him to get the experience and nobody is helping him and... We all know how painful it is. Eighty per cent of unemployable Nigerian graduates are victims of Nigerian factor. 2 Likes |

I'm not against this post but I'm against these girls getting pregnant and coming to stay in their father's house. A pregnant girl should be under the steward of whoever that is responsible of the pregnancy. But there is a condition I'll listen to such girl. Let's say it was a rape that took place before the pregnancy, I'll consider harbouring her. If it was a consensual sex that led to it I would not tolerate it. 2 Likes |

Just go with your credentials as a graduate then locate the section with the subject you've emphasis on. Another thing you should know is that the staylites are considered before the freshers who are considered to be gatecrashers. 1 Like |
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Why I Won't Apply For FRSC Job by Nwanna2588: 2:25pm On May 30, 2018 |
You share the same commitment with me. Ever since I saw the advert, I have not made any attempt to apply. The previous Federal Government jobs I applied were to no avail. When I applied for DSSC, the police officer that refereed for me made it clear that it's a waste of time. I did not understand what he meant until when the list was released. When I went through the list and saw some candidates that did not majored in a course that was advertised there that made it, I realised that the officer was correct. Everybody that made attempt to get enlisted to NAF that year will attest to the fact that a particular candidate that pursued a career in Arabic was enlisted. This was the reason why I did not take offence for that officer's refusal to referee for me when NA advertised theirs that same year. It is one of the worst things that has happened to Nigerians from economically disadvantaged background. If you don't have anybody at the top your chance of getting FG job is as narrow as what simile is yet to qualify. Today I have lost hope in Nigeria. In fact, my staying in Nigeria is contingent of raising enough money to leave. Aeesha2: 2 Likes |

Sports / Nigeria's Most Productive Teenager In The History Of UCL Revealed. by Nwanna2588: 8:16pm On Oct 19, 2017 |
With PSG striker Kylian Mbappé etching his name into Champions League folklore with his goal against R.S.C. Anderlecht on Wednesday night, allnigeriasoccer.com has checked the history books for the most productive Nigerian teenager in the history of Europe's flagship club competition. Mbappé netted his eighth Champions League goal against the Belgian team, and broke the record of the famous Dutch striker Patrick Kluivert by becoming the most productive teenager (up to 19 years) in the history of the competition. The highest scoring Nigerian teenager in the history of the Champions League is Yakubu Aiyegbeni, who notched five goals before he clocked 20 while defending the colours of Maccabi Haifa. Born November 22, 1982, Aiyegbeni bagged a hat-trick, the only Nigerian teenager to achieve the feat, against Olympiacos on September 24, 2002, and scored his fourth and fifth goals against Manchester United (October 29) and Olympiacos (November 13). The second highest scoring Nigerian teenager in Champions League history is former inter Milan wonderkid Obafemi Martins, who scored four goals representing the Italian outfit. Born October 28, 1984, Martins grabbed his first Champions League goal against Bayer Leverkusen, aged 18 years, 4 months and 19 days, before finding the net against AC Milan (May 15, 2003). The following season, the FC Ebedei product tallied his third goal against Arsenal (Sept 17, 2003), before scoring against Anderlecht on September 29, 2004. Nwankwo Kanu (Ajax Amsterdam), Daniel Amokachi (Club Brugge), Yussuf Ayila (Dynamo Kiev) and Kelechi Iheanacho (Man City) are the other Nigerian teenagers who have scored in the Champions League. Health / 7 Things That Happen During Labour That No One Tells You About by Nwanna2588: 7:58pm On Oct 19, 2017 |
There are things that happen during the labour and birth process that not even your best friend will share with you. Luckily, we will… With a first pregnancy, you are probably a bit apprehensive regarding labour and birth. You have read all the books and blogs, packed your hospital bag and think you know what to expect. But there are some things the books, and your friends, won’t tell you. 1. Losing the plug At the beginning of pregnancy, mucus, generated by the uterus during ovulation, is accumulated in the cervix. As this mucus thickens, it seals the cervix, protecting the growing baby. As your body gets ready for labour, and your cervix starts to dilate, this plug of thick, gloopy, bloody mucus is pushed out. 2. Breaking water You know those movies where the heavily pregnant woman is walking through the shopping centre and her waters break? Statistics show that only 10% of all pregnant women experience the physical rupturing of the amniotic sac before labour. For most of us, it happens during labour itself, either naturally, or with some help from the doctor or midwife. And, if your water does break on its own, it can be a trickle or a huge gush – it’s that unpredictable! 3. Peeing and farting Labour and birth is not glamorous. The outcome is beautiful, but the labour – not so much. Your baby manoeuvring his way out of your body puts more pressure on those bits of you that have already been under stress for the past nine months, which may mean that you release a gush of pee or a burst of gas. Don’t worry – the doctors and nurses have seen (and heard) it all before. Labour and birth is not glamorous. The outcome is beautiful, but the labour – not so much 4. Exposed In labour, your cervix needs to dilate to 10cm to accommodate your baby’s head (and body) being pushed out. Early labour ends when your cervix is around 4-6cm, and the process starts to accelerate. Labour can be anything from a few hours to over 20 hours, and during this process your caregiver will come check on your progress. This means that multiple people will be checking your baby’s exit route – no time to be embarrassed now. 5. Expect the unexpected Who knew that vomiting during labour is completely normal? Nausea and vomiting is common if you have an epidural, as this can cause a sudden drop in blood pressure. However, throwing up can occur even if you haven’t had an epidural, due to the pain you are experiencing or due to food sitting in your stomach (fun fact: your digestion process usually stops during labour). To keep this to a minimum, eat only light foods during your earliest stages of pregnancy, and only drink clear liquids or ice chips when in active labour. 6. The afterbirth Once your baby is out, you still need to birth the placenta. When it separates from your uterus on its own, this is easy. But sometimes it needs a little encouragement. This could mean the doctor or midwife massaging your belly, pressing firmly down to help expel the uterus and blood clots. The doctor will then thoroughly check the placenta to ensure that nothing has been retained. You will also bleed, a lot, after birth. 7. Is that really mine? Hollywood movies have done us a disservice – we tend to expect that our babies will come out sweet smelling, clean and pretty. The reality is that your baby will be covered with a white sticky substance called vernix that looks a bit like cottage cheese, as well as other bodily fluids and his face will probably be squished up (he has literally been pushed out of a small area). But, to you and your partner – he will be the most beautiful thing you have ever seen – and he is… SOURCE: www.all4women.co.za 1 Like

Sports / "ATLANTA 96": Two Decades After, A Nairalander Shares Experience, Share Yours by Nwanna2588: 2:55am On Oct 19, 2017 |
When it was about five minutes to end the match, discontent viewers began to leave in where I watched it. Soon the the shout of goooooooal rented the air. Not knowing who scored, the discontent viewers ignored it. Soon they discovered that it was in Nigeria's favour. The once seething compatriots became wild with exultation upon hearing the triumphant cries emanating from the mouths of those that watched it to the end. They stormed back with a sense of schadenfreude. The goal only tied us with the Brazilians, but there was hope as the Bonfre Joe-led team had caught fire. No sooner the referee actuated the first fifteen minutes of the extra time than the Nigerian lanky forward, Kanu Nwankwo, scored the winning goal. This was when the highest ever 'it is a goooooooal!' was shouted in Nigeria. Many did not know that it signalled the end of the match. The goalkeeper, Joseph Dosu, did not also know that the match was over because of golden goal rule. In my place, it was a night that people woke to celebrate the seven-goal thriller match. First we heard firework displays, then the real jubilation ensued. A salvo salute and the extraneous noise kept people awake throughout that night. After a moment of realisation, it dawned on those people that did not understand the meaning of golden goal that Nigeria had won the match. This was when they joined and the whole village agog that night. It was such that the rowdy noises interfered with people's nightly slumbers. Those who did not join had no choice than to adjure themselves to stay awake, despite not planning it. That was the night I saw what riveted Nigerians irrespective of their ethnic groups, religious affiliation, etc. as everybody joined to celebrate that victory. As if that was not enough, another neighbouring village's fans soon joined us, and the whole place agog again. It was already at the wee hours of the day, and yet people did not care. |

Nnennaama86:If you have educational background that is NCE, B.Ed, B.Sc/Ed, and B.A/Ed then you should go and register straight to any of the registration centres. If you don't have any educational background degree certificate then you should enrol for a PGDE course to get teaching methodology before you register for it. Doing PGDE programme in a College of Education, will bag you the TRCN upon graduation but enrolling in NTI will amount to registering for the TRCN after the course. 3 Likes |

There is nothing that will make me to pay for a CV. The problem is not with CV. Period! Just last week, a young girl I knew got job in one of the schools that is paying N200K and above in Lekki. Guess how she got the job? A church member who works there helped facilitate everything. The girl in question is at the tail end of her NCE career. Now tell me the role CV played in securing such job. Let the employers of labour continue being pedantic in assessing CV, I'm not going to spend anything to upgrade mine. My qualifications, skills, etc. are conspicuously there for anyone to see. So who cares can always see it and do the needful which is to assess job applicants to know what they have upstair. 2 Likes |
